Hi guys. Sorry this is a bit later than usual but I've got exam results day tomorrow so wish me luck. Also thank you for reading and reviewing so far. Please continue to do so. Thanks. :)
Swaine was heading back to the sick bay. After the mystery he had left on the bridge, he had other things on his mind. The mystery would be solved without him. If they needed them they would say. Little did he know he would be part of it sooner or later. He reached the sick bay door and found someone outside it.
"Jim." He smiled as he walked up.
"Hi Swaine." Jim answered him.
"What are you doing out here?"
"I was waiting for you actually."
"Were you?!"
"I need you to have a look at something for me."
"Course. Come on in."
Swaine opened the door and they went in. Mike was sleeping and wasn't disturbed by them. Swaine put his finger to his lips to keep Jim quiet as they went to sit down.
"So what do you want to tell me?" Swaine sighed as he sat down.
"My head is still killing me. I just wondered if you could give me anything for it." Jim said, rubbing his forehead.
"I've given you painkillers to last a lifetime Jim."
"I know but I need something stronger. They're just not working."
"Give them a few days. They'll work."
Jim sighed as he leant back. Swaine wasn't going to budge on his answer. Jim wasn't going to get anything else. Jim rolled his eyes as he looked at Mike.
"I heard about Mike." Jim said quietly.
"What about him?" Swaine smirked.
"The tumor."
"Don't know what you're talking about." Swaine lied.
"Yes you do Swaine."
"How do you know?"
"Being a marine, you get used to listening in on conversations. I heard you and Mike talking about it."
Swaine looked out of the door to check no one was passing by. Jim waited for a reaction. Swaine looked back.
"The crew doesn't know yet." Swaine finally said.
"I guessed that by your reaction." Jim smiled.
"Commander Flynn won't let me."
Jim looked over at Mike again. He knew what it was like to keep a secret this big. There seemed to be a bucket load at the moment.
"I won't tell anyone." Jim whispered.
"Thanks Jim." Swaine smiled.
"I'll leave you to it." Jim said leaving the room.
When Jim had left the room, Mike stirred. Swaine could tell that he hadn't been fully asleep.
"You heard everything we just said didn't you?" Swaine moaned.
"Might have done." Mike answered.
Swaine smirked at this reply. Mike never gave anything away even if it was obvious he was lying.

Charge was going over the wrench Buffer and Kate had found. It didn't look like one of his but could it be? RO was watching him from his job at the communications desk. He was waiting for an answer where the wrench came from and RO didn't like to wait too long.
"So?" RO asked.
"So what?" Charge sighed.
"Do we own the wrench or not?" RO groaned.
"Would you stop pestering me?!"
RO turned away with his hands up. Charge rolled his eyes. He hated working next to RO sometimes. He just needed to know everything at all times! Sometimes he just didn't need to know everything. Kate walked over to join the two.
"I hate to ask Chargeā¦." Kate started.
"Don't worry RO has asked about a million times for you!" Charge spoke up.
"And did he get an answer?" Kate asked hopefully.
"Not yet." Charge answered her with a concencered look on his face.
Kate sighed loudly. Charge was the best in the business when it came to equipment. So when he didn't know where something came from then no one would.
"What have we got on the Starlight and any other things?" Kate asked the bridge crew.
"There have been a few boats in the area." Nav answered her.
"Apart from the marine ship and us?" Kate asked, surprised.
"Yes one more. We can't account for it yet though." Nav said, dejected.
"That's where the torpedo must have come from." Buffer piped up.
"Can't be sure yet." Nav talked back.
Nav was right. The torpedoes could come be old ones and just went off when the Starlight went over them. However, the torpedoes were more likely to come from a ship and not below the sea.
"Keep trying Nav." Kate said spurring Nav on.
"Thanks X." Nav smiled.
Kate went back to the COs chair. It still felt a little weird being in the seat with Mike still being on the boat. She had many opportunities in the past to be in this chair but everytime Mike hadn't been on the same ship as her.
"Daydreaming?" Bomber asked her sitting next to her.
"What are you doing there?" Kate chuckled.
"Swaine said I should sit here until he can come back." Bomber smiled in her new position.
"As long as he said that you could." Kate said looking back at the ocean in front of them.
"Yeah he did." Bomber backed her facts.
Kate gave her a disapproving look. Bomber could sometimes weave things in her favour but if Swaine said so then Kate couldn't argue with that.
"What were you dreaming about?" Bomber smiled.
"Nothing." Kate said back quickly.
"Was it about Commander Flynn?" Bomber said, pushing Kate in the arm.
"None of your business!" Kate said, turning away from Bomber.
Bomber stifles a chuckle. Kate saw this but didn't do anything about it, she didn't want another argument on her hands. Mike would shout at her if she did.
"Ma'am?" Spider asked, coming up to her.
"Yes Spider." Kate responded.
"About earlier."
"What about earlier?"
"I'm sorry I didn't come out of the Starlight."
"Don't worry about it Spider. You're still here, that's what matters."
"Yes Ma'am." Spider said, smiling.
"Kate?" Buffer's voice said behind her.
"What is it Buf?"
"Have a look at this." Buffer said, passing a file to Kate.
Kate took the file off of Buffer. She looked at it and then hid it to her chest so no one else could see.
"Would you excuse me?" Kate asked quietly.
The whole crew watched her leave the bridge. Buffer shrugged his shoulders and sat in the COs chair whilst she was gone. What made her run out so quickly was the question on everyone's minds.
