Ludo was shaking in fear as he moved away from the approaching girl. He felt a hand rest on his shoulder.

"Didn't you hear the princess? Take a SEAT!" Kelly commanded.

The bird looked behind him to see another member of Star's posse as she pulled out a chair for him and forced him down.

"Uh. Star Butterfly… It's so nice of you to visit my home. What brings you to X-303?" Ludo asked slowly.

"A certain person told me that a birdie knew who was responsible for a murder in our dimension. And since I know of only ONE bird that would be involved in such atrocities, I decided to pay you a visit." Star said coldly.

"What? You think I killed her?" Ludo gasped.

"Her? Who said anything about her? So you DO know something. You better start talking." Star demanded as she pulled out her wand.

"NO! I can't! They'll kill me if I do." Ludo protested.

"Would you prefer to die now? Because we're willing to kill you now." Star snapped back.

"Fine fine. I saw a brown-haired chick with a beanie give her a poisonous apple. Mina was dead soon after. Why you would consume a singular apple given to you by a total stranger is beyond me, but Mina wasn't known for her common sense."

Marco's eyes flared up as he grabbed the little bird by his collar.

"Janna is DEAD! If you don't start telling the fucking truth then you're going to have a bad day." Marco spat.

"Huh really? Maybe someone gave her a poisonous apple to keep her from spilling the beans."

Marco growled and threw the bird across the room into the wall, he stomped forward and drew his sword with the intent to seriously harm Ludo.

"This doesn't seem like a few questions to me." Dennis called out.

Marco looked back at the lizard who had his gun drawn and aimed at the boy.

"You sure you want to go down that road, Dennis?"

"Boy, I've been up and down that road my entire life; I know it like the back of my hand."

"ENOUGH! We don't have time for this!" Star yelled as she approached Ludo, "Did you really see Janna giving Mina a poisonous apple?" the girl asked.

The bird simply nodded as he got up and dusted himself off.

"Normally I would lie to you, but as you can see I turned over a new leaf. I moved to this horrible, backwater planet to get away from it all and try to live a simple life.

"Why did you come here in the first place?" Star asked.

"Because they killed Dennis. Who? I don't know, they were all dressed in black hooded robes when they stormed my castle. They killed my friends, family, AND pets. All I know is that one of their names is Onyx. I hid like a coward and the only person barely alive when I came out was Dennis. I swore revenge but he said no. He told me THIS was the time to start anew. So I followed my brother's wishes and came here to start fresh." Ludo explained as he picked up a picture of him and Dennis.

The room was dead silent, nobody moved nor spoke. The trio couldn't believe an actual MONSTER like Ludo suffered great loss. Some would say it was his "just desserts", but no this felt wrong. Nobody deserved that.

"Well we're not going to start fresh. We WILL find out who did this to you. To us. To everybody. They took people from us that we couldn't live without and it's about time we return the favor." Star said confidently.

Marco barely heard the girl as he was deep in thought. He couldn't believe Janna was the one who killed Mina, it had to be some kind of mistake. Was Toffee controlling her or did she do this of her own free will? Marco pondered as he sat in the chair beside him. He was pulled back to reality when the windows of the hut shattered, sending glass everywhere. The boy dropped to the floor as what sounded like gunfire filled his ears. He looked to the side to see everyone had followed his movement and joined him on the floor. Everyone covered their heads as the hut was torn to pieces by automatic gunfire. It felt like eternity before the gunfire stopped and the group heard footsteps approaching the door. Dennis pulled out his laser pistol and shot three times through the door at possible enemies. He was satisfied when he heard shouts and cries to move back.

"Everyone okay?" Marco whispered as he scanned the room.

"No." Ludo weakly called out.

The boy looked over to Ludo who was holding his chest and there was a very obvious hole underneath his hand. Blood seeped out of the open wound as he attempted to stop the blood loss. Dennis crawled over to the bird and planted his hand against the wound trying to stop the bleeding.

"Ludo? Can you hear me? You gotta stay with me,buddy. Ludo?" Dennis cried out as he held the little bird.

Ludo smiled weakly and asked the lizard to grab something from underneath the floorboards. Dennis searched around till he found an old shoe box and brought it to Ludo. The bird opened it and chuckled.

"Hello old friend." Ludo said as he picked the dark green and grey wand up from the box.

The trio widened their eyes in shock at the sight they were seeing.

"You guys have to leave. This is exactly how they ambushed my castle, it won't be long before they charge in here and kill us all. I'll hold them back while you guys escape."

"What? No Ludo, I'm not going to leave you here by yourself to fight. What about moving on and turning over a new leaf?" Dennis said.

"All a bunch of bullshit. There's no second chance for guys like me. I don't want to run away, I want revenge on the people who took everything from me."

Marco heard more footsteps slowly approaching the door and he nodded at Star to portal them out of there. She closed her eyes in response as she started to glow, a wormhole forming on the floor.

"You better get out of here, Dennis. Help these kids on their mission. And Star?"

"Yeah?" the princess said as she lowered herself into the portal.

"Make sure they suffer."

"That's one thing we can agree on." Star replied as she disappeared into the glowing blue hole.

Kelly crawled in after her and left the guys with Ludo.

"Ludo, you don't have to do this!"

Ludo pushed Dennis away and leaned against the wall as he stared at the door.

"Of course I do. I'm not good like you think I am. I'm a villain seeking revenge and the villain always gets what they want." The bird said angrily.

Dennis was going to protest that statement but Marco grabbed the spaceman and threw him into the portal.

"Thanks, Marco."

"Fuck you, Ludo." Marco replied as he fell into the portal.

The bird laughed like a maniac at Marco's response, Ludo coughing up blood as the doorknob twisted and the door flew open.

"HELLO FRIENDS! And Goodbye." Ludo laughed as the wand glowed a bright green.

The light enveloped the room before a massive explosion filled the hut with green flames, the building blew into pieces as debris scattered everywhere. The raging green fire caught everything in its path ablaze as it spread violently. Two figures stood in the woodline with dozens of armed men by their sides.

"Were they in there?"

"No, I sensed them leave a couple seconds before the explosion."

AUTHOR's NOTE: CHAPTER COMPLETED! What did you guys think? A little sad to find out Ludo got the short end of the stick. Who's this new Dennis character who seemed to have a friendship with Ludo. The trio knows Janna killed Mina but who killed Janna? And why did she kill Mina? Pfft. Ludo swears he's a villain but just saved his enemies from certain death. We are going to have some more big reveals in the next chapter. Maybe some new introductions, we'll get to see who those two figures in the forest were.
