ML54: Hiya, guys! ML54 here with another chapter for ya!
Tyson: ...well, whatever. At least the story is getting updated again.
ML54: I already told you I was too busy to do this weekly again! Just gonna get them written as it comes to mind. And, hopefully, it'll be good. Anyway, I don't own Pokémon and have fun!
Light Up My Life
Gracie huddled in a small, shallow burrow in the base of a tree. Around her, humans in black uniforms with a red 'R' emblazoned on their chest marched into the forest and threw a red and white ball at any pokémon that stumbled out of their homes.
She sniffled, her fluff pulled up to her chin as she witnessed as a ratatta was sucked up into a ball, it's scared expression burned into her mind as it vanished in a digital red mist. A few seconds later, one of the humans picked up the ball.
"Meh, put it with the others," He called back, callously, throwing the ball towards another man in the same clothes. "It's only level two."
"What's the point in coming through here, again?" Another one called out, Gracie's sensitive hearing managing to pick it out over the sound of the massive, metal box thing in her peripheral vision.
"Boss wants to sell 'em, I don't know. Not paid to know," The original one shrugged, before looking over towards the burrow she was taking shelter in.
Immediately, she yelped and ran away, causing the man to grin behind her. "Look alive boys, got a rare one over there!" He called as he threw another ball into the air.
She continued to run until she noticed the ball sail over her head and smack into the ground before her. Then, in a sudden burst of white, a large, green praying mantis like pokémon with two, large bladed arms stood before her.
"Scyther, use slash!" She heard the man call out and, obediently, the mantis swiped at her with a glowing arm.
The buneary cried out as she was struck by the attack and knocked onto the ground. Staying conscious by sheer will alone. The green pokémon smirked, evilly, and advanced on her, raising an arm.
"Gotta be sure we catch it! Use slash again!" The man jeered.
Gracie clenched her eyes closed, preparing herself for the pain.
Which, surprisingly, never came as a blue jackal like pokémon stood between her and the bug. It's glowing palm stopping it in it's tracks.
"[Gracie, run!]" The jackal cried out, pushing the bug's arm to the side, before slamming a glowing fist into the side of it's face. It's inane pokéspeech alien to the human's ears. "[I'll hold it off!]"
"[Dad...]" Gracie cried, weakly, before her body started trembling and she, in a sudden burst of speed, rushed out of the area.
"Tsk...Run away," The man groaned, before smirking again. "No matter, a lucario is much more rare anyhow."
The lucario growled, placing both palms together, before three orbs of green surrounded him. "[Hidden power!]" He declared, firing it towards the human's vehicle.
Gracie ran, further and further away from the fight. Trying her best to ignore all the crying and pleading from all the wild pokémon native to the Viridian Forest. She just wanted to get home and get there fast.
She knew the pathway well, but her mind was being muddled by her ability. She had absolutely no idea which way was which. All she wanted was to get out of there and get out of there fast.
Soon she found herself falling into a strange crater in the ground, falling head over feet into the ten foot smouldering hole.
She cried out as her arm landed weirdly, causing her to quickly roll over and hold onto it tightly. When she looked at it, she saw a black slash mark, clearly left when the scyther had struck her.
She sniffed and hunched herself against the side of the crater, hoping that no-one had seen or heard her. Thankfully, nothing else seemed to be around...
...except the mess in the centre of the hallow.
It was surrounded by strange metal, all warped and blackened as if it was under some extreme heat. It was clearly responsible for the creation of this basin as it was in the middle and was crushed and bent inwards. The weirdest thing, however, was the white thing crawling out of it.
She, naturally, pulled her fluff up to her face and hid behind it. Trying to fool the creature into thinking she was some kind of weird, cream-coloured bush.
The thing did not buy it. Help...me...
"W-w-w-what?" Gracie asked, peeking her eyes over her fluff, her ears rolled up on the top of her head. Not wanting to hear what was going on behind her.
The thing, which looked more snake like, finally emerged fully from the wreckage. It appeared to be fairly small, about the size of her foot. It's pure red eyes like pin-pricks against it's pure white skin. P-please...help me...G-Gracie...
She yelped and let go of her fluff, causing it to fall back to her waist, and covered her mouth with her paws. "H-How do y-y-you know w-who I a-a-am?"
I know who you...are, Gracie...I can tell you...are...scared... It continued, slowly slithering towards her. It's voice sounding hollow and pained. And I...know that...you don't want to...be scared anymore...
Gracie flinched and tried backing away, through was already pressed up against the lip of the crater, so couldn't get any further away.
Please don't run, child. I only want...to help you... It pleaded, causing her to panic even more. Please help me...and I can give you...what you want...
"How d-d-do you know w-w-w-what I want?" She asked, timidly, though no longer able to look away from the snake.
You want to be brave...You want to prove yourself...to the...pokémon here...you want...to be powerful... It said, causing her to blush and turn away. You're jealous...Of your brother...of your father...You want...to be...powerful...like them...
"I want to be more powerful than them!" Gracie suddenly lashed out, causing the thing to look up at her. "I-I've always been a m-meek l-little bunny! Everyone a-always m-made fun of m-me!" She explained, her expression having turned pretty sour.
"My brother and d-d-dad always have t-to protect m-me..." She said, suddenly deflating. "The m-meek l-little bunny with the s-s-speech impediment."
I can...help you...child... The creature said, approaching Gracie. She looked at it and, despite her worry, hopped towards it. Give you the strength you desire. Take that stutter away. Everyone will come to respect you.
"And let me teach those bullies a lesson..." Gracie finally let out, suddenly hearing a scream of pain from behind her...one that was far too familiar.
Gracie turned back and saw a blue jackal fall out of the tree line. He was covered in bruises and scorch marks, but was slowly getting back onto his feet.
"D-daddy!" Gracie cried out in fear, before a burst of flames escaped the tree line and slammed into the lucario's chest. Thus causing him to fall into the crater and at Gracie's side.
The lucario glanced up at her tear stained eyes and gave a strained smile. "I'm sorry, Gracie...I c...I couldn't pro...protect you all..."
"D-daddy..." Gracie whimpered, kneeling down by his side. He looked up one more time at her, before a red and white ball smacked him in the face.
Alarmed, Gracie turned back to the tree line and saw the same man in black and praying mantis. Though now, he also had a flame-patterned, bipedal creature with a duck-like face by his side. "Excellent work, Magmar!"
Gracie turned back and saw her father disappear in a cloud of digital red mist. Then, all that lay there was the red and white ball...
...before that also vanished.
"You got the package?" The man said into his wrist. He then looked at her and he grinned as she stepped back. "Okay, you guys head back. I'll catch up. Got a rabbit that needs catching."
Gracie stepped back again, her ability causing her to want to run like heck. However, her muddled mind made her unable to decide what to do. She wanted to stand up to them. To get her dad back but she couldn't...
...unless.
Gracie...Let me...help you... The creature said, now resting by her foot.
"What the...is that one of ours?" The man muttered to himself, looking over the wrecked metal around the area. However, this meant that he didn't notice Gracie bending down to touch the weird, white creature.
The scyther did, however, and charged towards her. "[Oh no you don't!]" It cried out, but far too late.
The buneary turned and slammed her fist into the scyther's chest, her ears coming down over her eyes.
Under her breath, she muttered, "[Deal.]"
Excellent... The creature whispered from inside her mind, before his eyes glowed bright red.
The scyther looked down at the fist on his chest in confusion...before a blade of white light spouted from her fist and impaled the bug.
He coughed in surprise, staggering back a few steps towards the man and magmar. "Scyther, what was...?"
Was as far as the man got before his scyther dissolved into white light.
In fear, both him and his magmar looked at the buneary, who lifted her head. Her ears lifting out of her eyes, showing them to be pure red. She was also sporting a horrifying, full-toothed smirk.
"It's time to see the light!" Gracie yelled out, in clear English so the man could understand, her arms being replaced by two, white energy blades.
"A-after that...I...I-I..." Present Gracie stuttered, having been telling this story to her peers, before her tears got the better of her and she broke down again.
She was standing in the middle of the clan, surrounded by the members of the clan and legendaries that they managed to gather.
This consisted of Tyson, who was holding onto her paw and trying his hardest to keep her stable enough to continue her story. A confused and hurt expression on his face.
The detectives, who were taking notes and seemed fairly troubled as well. Wottson glancing between the rodents, showing concern for them both. Sylvia just looking down at her notes, trying to avoid eye contact altogether.
Rockruff and Felicity, keeping their eyes and ears down, both quite shocked and saddened by the revelation.
Tapu Lele, who seemed surprisingly calm and remained quiet during the story, almost as if trying to sort it all out in her head. Her hand held under her chin in thought.
Buizel was trying to keep Pachirisu calm, who was crying herself. Though Buizel seemed fairly stoic, as if trying not to let on how he was feeling himself.
Darkrai, who was stood leaning on one of the poles of Tapu Lele's tent, his expression basically unreadable.
Petunia, who didn't really know what to think. Glancing between all the different emotions being displayed by the group...
...and Tommy had clenched his teeth and fists, almost as if holding himself back from something. His hardened glare focusing on the rabbit as she told her tale.
When Tyson noticed this, he shook his thoughts away and positioned himself between Tommy and Gracie. Regardless of what she's done, he was still her friend. "Tommy...now's not-"
"AHHH!" Tommy suddenly roared, charging for her, his fist glowing blue. Tyson's eyes widened and intercepted him, his own paws glowing with his brick break move by his sheer reflexes alone. "Get out of my way!"
"No!" Tyson cried back, pushing the angry riolu back as hard as he could. "I know you're upset...but now's...not the time to be turning...on each-other!" He grunted, trying to reason with the angry pokémon. Although he was struggling to hold the emanation pokémon back.
"She's the reason Cody's dead!" Tommy shot back, throwing his other fist into Tyson's cheek. Thus causing the pikachu to let out a grunt of pain. That was when Tyson noticed his cheek crackle with electricity.
"Arg...Sorry in advance for this!" Tyson yelled, using both his paws to push Tommy back.
The riolu was confused, before he grunted as electricity danced around his body and his muscles locked up. Tyson let out a sigh of relief, though noticed that no-one else had actually tried to stop the fighting-type and looked around.
The others all averted their eyes, though Darkrai grunted and floated over to Tommy. "I think you need some time alone there, kid."
Tommy blinked and looked up at the nightmare bringer. "B-but...What she did-"
"Is not our concern right now," He interrupted, folding his arms and glaring at the group. "We will decide what to do about this after we deal with the giant, rampaging light monster-"
"That Gracie helped create," Felicity sighed, looking at the surprised Tyson regretfully. "I'm sorry dear, but Tommy is right in a way. How do we know we can trust her?"
"You're kidding, right?!" Tyson responded, shocked. "She saved my life! She's been perfectly friendly this week! You think, just cause she remembers that overgrown candlestick, that she'd suddenly turn on us?!"
"I mean..." Rockruff said, causing Tyson to turn to him in surprise, noting that the usually reasonable dog was agreeing with Tommy's irrational anger. "She remembers him now...Remembers that she was working with him. Maybe...she still wants to work with him?"
"S-she...did say she wanted to be powerful..." Pachirisu piped in, Tyson turning to her now. "Th-that's...N-not something...good pokémon should care about..."
"You too, Pachirisu..." Tyson muttered, noting that Pachirisu was usually so optimistic. She even acted like Gracie's second closest friend in some ways. For her to side against the rabbit.
Gracie, hearing all this, started to cry even harder. Her regret clear inbetween gasps of air. She was upset that everyone was turning on her, but she didn't blame them though. And that's what made it worse.
Tyson noticed and moved towards her, glaring at the rest of the group. He knew what she did was wrong, but she didn't deserve this kind of treatment. She was scared and alone and that thing took advantage of that. He thought to himself, before saying: "She's not that pokémon any more! Can't you hear her crying over here?!"
"How do you know it's not an act?!" Tommy accused, glaring the pikachu down. "You've known her a week and suddenly you know everything about her, huh?! You gonna keep speaking for her, or are you going to let her speak for herself?!"
Tyson flinched, his eyes starting to burn hatefully towards the jackal. "What was that, Mr. Mute?!" He yelled back, his power packs sparking dangerously.
"You heard me, Jerk!" Tommy yelled back. "You don't care about what happened to us! To Cody! All you care about is your friend! But my friend, he can just get lost, right? You'll just keep defending that bunny, who was responsible for his death, because she's your friend! And that makes her so much more important!"
"The Light of Destruction was responsible! Gracie was a victim of circumstance!" Buizel suddenly shouted, causing the group to look at him in shock.
He sighed and looked down at Pachirisu, who looked betrayed by his choice in this. "I'm sorry guys, but I'm with Tyson on this one. From what I heard, I don't blame Gracie for what she did. If she didn't, she'd be captured by some human and sent who knows where!"
"Too right," Detective Wottson nodded, moving to stand by Gracie and Tyson. "We all have moments of weakness. I've done things I'm not proud of. As I'm sure the rest of you have. But I'm sure, if Gracie had any real say in anything, then none of this would be happening right now."
Sylvia sighed and shrugged. "Hey, she saved us from Zekrom. She can't be all that bad."
Tommy gritted his teeth, turning to the snivy. "If she had left that thing to die! If she just ran from the human then-"
"ENOUGH!" Tapu Lele screamed, her eyes glowing dangerously pink and causing the area to be covered in a pink mist. Said mist thick and slightly obscuring everyone's view of each other.
The whole group, minus Darkrai, jumped in surprise and stood to attention. Not wanting to invoke their leader's wrath. The last time that happened...well, let's just say a certain bird from a certain guild hasn't come back here for a while.
When she was satisfied that everyone was listening, she continued. "All this arguing over whether Gracie is a villain or not, isn't going to help us defeat the Light of Destruction! We have more pressing matters to attend to than this!"
The group dropped their gazes to the ground, feeling somewhat embarrassed about how things were playing out. All except Gracie, who was still trying to still her crying, her paws covering her eyes, trying to dry them of the tears.
Tapu Lele noticed that and floated over to the bunny, her eyes returning to their natural colour. She leant down to eye level and tilted Gracie's head up to meet her gaze.
"Now Gracie, while it is true that what you did was bad, I want to ask you this," She said, seriously and calmly. Gracie sniffed and nodded for her to continue. "Did you know it was going to kill that man?"
Gracie sniffed, somewhat startled by the question, and started to rack her brain for an answer. But her thoughts were all muddled, her new and old memories running around her mind. The regret, the pain, the guilt. It was all overwhelming her and she couldn't get a grip on any one thought inparticular.
Tyson held his breath, watching this exchange. He defended her, sure, but he did have some doubts plaguing his mind. After all, the Light of Destruction was the reason his father had left all those years ago. And Gracie essentially made the effort the samurott went through to get rid of it a waste of time. All that time his father spent away, each needle in his and his mother's hearts, essentially for nothing.
Darkrai saw the struggle Gracie was having as well and, out of pity, decided to speak up. "No, she didn't."
The group turned to him, confused by his insight, so he explained. "The Light of Destruction told her that it was sending the people she struck down to a different dimension, where it can remove the darkness from their hearts and 'make them see the light'."
"Y-yes...That's r-right..." Gracie finally managed to say, tilting her head to the side. "B-but how d-did y-y-you know?"
He glanced at her. "Because we fought before, remember?"
Gracie's eyes widened as her dream suddenly came to the front of her mind. The one where she was attacking those children and Darkrai was protecting them.
He nodded at her look. "Yeah. You and it both told me you were going to turn me into an envoy of the light, whatever that meant." He explained, rolling his eyes. "I managed to fend you off with a super charged dark pulse and sent you flying. I thought the fall would finish you off...but..."
"W-we found her after she crashed into Valley Pass," Pachirisu said, her throat feeling quite dry through all her tears. "A-and Buizel brought her t-to Nurse Bellossom."
Buizel placed a paw on the squirrel's shoulder to try and clam her down, but she shook it off and turned away from him. This caused him to sigh and fold his arms miserably, obviously hurt.
"...so...Cody isn't dead?" Tommy asked hopefully, finally finding his voice.
Darkrai shrugged. "Hard to say. I couldn't tell if it was lying to her, or if it was telling the truth. The only thing we can really do is hope for the best." He explained, floating to stand in front of the group.
"As Tapu Lele and I have said, we have bigger things to worry about then what Gracie has done. And now, we've got something. A name." He stated, starting to pace back and forth.
"Sure it's not much to go on, but it's something. We also have a time frame for how long it's been around." He continued, holding his finger in the air. "I battled Gracie a week ago, but I saw Team Rocket attack the Viridian Forest and that happened four months ago."
The group jumped at that. "That thing's been around for four months!" Rockruff exclaimed, his astonishment shared among the group. "How comes this is the first time it's done anything to us then?"
"B-b-b...b-b-because..." Gracie stuttered, trying her best to get her words out. The group looked back at her, a sense of dread surrounded them at the sound of her tone of voice. "B-b-because...I was a-angry...and w-w-wanted...revenge..."
"Revenge? On the human, you mean?" Tapu Lele asked, still looking her in the eye. Before she jumped back in shock, noticing the barely contained rage behind the buneary's eyes. An emotion she was no-where even close to expecting from the timid rabbit.
"T-T-Team Rocket took my f-f-family away and I w-w-wanted to...m-make them p-pay for it..." Gracie stated, her fist clenched at her side.
The group stared in shock, not knowing about this violent side of her, before she blinked and snapped out of it. "I-I...What am I s-s-saying?! I wouldn't...W-would I? B-but..." She let out, looking down at her own paws, her eyes wide and still tear riddled.
The group stared at her, before Darkrai snapped his fingers. "Focus everyone." They all turned back to him, though Tyson noticeably took a step away from Gracie unnerved by her outburst. That was something he was used to seeing in himself and he was aware of how dangerous it could be.
Gracie noticed him doing so, however, and felt her heart break. "Tyson..." She whimpered, before her eyes fell to the ground again.
"Now, as we've just heard, Gracie and the Light of Destruction clearly focused their efforts on Team Rocket before making a move on anyone else. Which makes sense when you think about it." Darkrai explained, interrupting Gracie, putting his fist on top of his open palm. "After all, who'd miss a bunch of criminals if they were to suddenly disappear."
"Plus, they did send it up into the sun in the first place," Tyson mentioned, causing Darkrai to raise an eyebrow. "It probably wanted revenge too."
"...Okay," Darkrai shrugged. "Not going to get into how you know that. Or whose bright idea it was to send the creature powered by light into the frigging lightbulb in the sky. All we're worried about is finding out how to beat it."
"...Maybe d-darkness?" Gracie spoke up, timidly. "When i-it...w-was in my h-head it wanted m-me to avoid most d-dark-types and angry o-or sad p-people...I think...it w-was weakened by them a-at first."
Wottson nodded, motioning to Tyson. "That would check out. After all, Tyson was the only one in Pippy's dream that could hurt it. And he was the only one in there, at the time, that was dealing with..." He suddenly paused and turned to Tyson apologetically.
Tyson noticed and shrugged. "I was the only one that was still kinda peeved, dealing with my dad walking out on me when I was three." The group looked at him in shock, minus Gracie, causing him to raise an eyebrow. "What? He's back now. We've talked it out. No need to go back into it."
Wottson blinked at how...casual he sounded about it. But ultimately shrugged and kept a mental note of it for later. "R-right, anyway. Since Tyson was the only one of the five who entered Pippy's dream that had that deep-seated anger or sadness, maybe it was that which hurt the creature?"
"...Yeah, okay, so throw Tommy at it?" Rockruff suggested, pointing out the riolu who had folded his arms with a visible scowl on his face. "He seems quite angry right now?"
"I don't think it's quite that simple," Sylvia added, flicking through her notes. "If it were that kind of anger that could hurt it, then Pepper should have given it a run for it's money." She explained, flipping through her own notes. "Even Tyson had to throw everything he had at the Light of Destruction. So maybe, we need something, or someone, that is super super angry all the time."
"Hm..." Darkrai thought to himself, running his hand through the white scarf around his neck. "This may require some further thought. Once the legendaries have finished their discussions with Joey and Tali, we'll discuss it further-"
"And what do we do with Gracie?" Rockruff asked, earning himself a glare from Tyson. "I know, Ty, but be reasonable-"
"I'll keep an eye on her," The pikachu stated firmly, folding his arms. "She's my partner and lives in the same tent as me anyway. No problems there."
"Except your obvious bias!" Tommy argued, glaring at the mouse. "You'll take her side all the time-"
"Fine, then you can stay in our tent too!" Tyson offered, standing between Tommy and Gracie to make sure Tommy didn't take another swing at her. "That way, you can keep an eye on both of us and see, first hand, that she's not working with the Light of Destruction anymore!"
Tapu Lele nodded, and floated over to Petunia. "Why don't you stay with them as well. If anything, just to make sure Tommy and Tyson don't kill each-other."
The bulb pokémon, still very conflicted, nodded. "Okay, boss. No problem."
Tyson sighed and rolled his eyes. "Great." He turned back to face Gracie, who avoided his eyes and looked down at her feet. Tyson flinched, but didn't show how upset he was.
Darkrai nodded and faced everyone else. "Alright, so now that that's sorted, it's time to turn in for the night. Tapu Lele and I will let you know of the decisions we have come to tomorrow. For now, get some rest. Calm yourselves down and please, try to remember that we're all a team. Regardless of what we may have done in the past, we are all here to brighten our future."
The group nodded and shuffled away to prepare for bed. Tommy and Petunia going to move their beds. Tyson walked over to Gracie and put a paw on her shoulder. "Gracie..."
"I'm s-s-sorry...I'm s-so..." She kept whispering under her breath. Tyson sighed, sadly, and placed his paw in hers. Squeezing it in as comforting a gesture as he could muster.
"It's okay, Long Ears, let's just get some sleep. We'll all feel better tomorrow, I'm sure," He said, pulling her lightly towards their tent. Gracie just nodded and followed along, almost robotically. Her body just going through the motions.
He noticed this and sighed again, looking over towards Tommy. He was currently pulling his nest like bed out of his tent.
When the emanation pokémon noticed, he glared at the mouse. Tyson just rolled his eyes and stood a bit closer to the rabbit, making sure the jackal wouldn't try anything.
Said jackal just grunted and moved to walk into Tyson and Gracie's tent.
Petunia noticed all of this and hopped over to the pair. "I'm sorry about Tommy, Gracie..." She said, rubbing her cheek with one of her stubby arms. "He's had it rough and-"
"I don't blame him for hating me," Gracie muttered, miserably. "I hate me too."
"Gracie..." Tyson said, squeezing her paw tighter. As if the pressure of his paw alone would make her feel better. "Come on."
Petunia sighed, looking to the side. "Look, I know I didn't speak up before, but...you don't seem like a bad pokémon. You've been perfectly nice, fun and upbeat. A bit shy, sure, but that's not a bad thing. You had your reasons to do what you did, but that shouldn't define who you are now." She said, resting her stub against Gracie's arm.
Gracie looked into Petunia's eyes as the grass-type seemed to smile at her. "We've all done bad things before, like Wottson said. I...Even I've done some horrible things before. But the world isn't that black and white."
Tyson smiled as well, loosening his grip and using his thumb to rub Gracie's palm. "You know she's right. Remember what I did to Cindy?" He mentioned, causing Gracie to meet his eyes.
He flinched a bit at how wet they were and the pain she was clearly in, but he continued regardless. "What I did to her was awful as well. And look where wallowing in that got me before you came along."
Petunia nodded, inwardly smiling at how Tyson was finally able to share that story. "If you just wallow in what you've done before, you'll never move on from it. You just have to accept it and strive to make yourself a better pokémon in spite of it." Petunia finished, nuzzling the rabbit's arm before motioning to her tent. "I'll just go get my bed, then we'll all get some much needed rest. Hopefully, Tommy will have cooled off by then."
"Hopefully..." Tyson sighed. Gracie shuffled on the spot, but seemed to take all the new information on board.
"Alright, well if you wait for me, I'll-"
"Thank y-you, Petunia...Tyson..." Gracie interrupted, giving a small smile to the two of them. "You're both...really g-good to m-me."
"Aw, anytime, Sweetie," Petunia winked, before hopping off. Tyson just sighed in relief and turned to Gracie.
"Alright, so-"
"I want t-to talk t-to Tommy, Tyson," Gracie stuttered, before taking a deep breath to try and calm herself.
"Um...like, right now?" The pikachu asked in concern, rubbing his ear nervously. "It might be a bit too soon for that, Grace?"
"If Cody i-is really d-dead then it'll always f-feel too soon," She shot back, looking down at her feet, sadly. "I got h-his friend k-killed. He at least d-deserves an apology."
Tyson sighed, but did concede that she had a point. "Fine, but I'll be right outside the tent. If he tries anything I'll-"
"I know," She said, smiling a sad smile at him. "...b-but, if that's what he wants to do then..."
"No," Tyson intercepted, firmly. "Letting him beat the snot out of you won't make things better for anyone, least of all him. You can talk me into a lot of things, Fluff-Butt, but that's not up for debate."
Gracie blinked, but conceded. "Okay...I'll just...apologise and...I-I don't know."
Tyson just nodded, sitting on the ground in front of the tent's entrance. "Alright. Let me know when it'll be okay to come in. I'll stop Petunia before she goes in and interrupts," He said, before grinning. "Just don't take too long, I'm kinda tired and could use some shut eye."
Gracie nodded, steeling herself as if she were entering a lion's den, before hopping in quickly before she chickens out.
Tyson watched her go and immediately dropped his smirk into a worried frown. "Good luck, Gracie."
Tyson: Geez, you may as well have called this the bummer chapter.
ML54: Welp...gotta have my drama. Anyway, thanks for reading and now onto some promotion!
