I decided to condense the entirety of the Tenrou Arc into 1 long chapter so the next one could focus more on relationships. I realized during this chapter I made a mistake in holding off some arcs until after the time skips...I'll let you figure out where

Chapter 21
Sasuke stood in silence looking at the pink haired teen giving him the death stare, "I know you" he says looking down to the floor, remembering the little girl he had left at Lamia Scale all those years ago.
"Of course you do, I'd be shocked if you could forget the sole survivor of your massacre" Meredy says
"But...how" Sasuke is cut off by Meredy's scoff
"End up here?" she crosses her arms "It's not like I owe you an explanation but...Ultear found me in the wreckage of my home after you moved on" she says "I'd been out for days before she did"
"Ultear's altered her memories" Sasuke thinks closing his eyes "There are plenty of things in my past I regret but.." he is once again cut off
"I'm not here to talk" she unleashes a dark pink aura "I've come to kill out and that's starts with the person you love dearest" she declared "Sensory Link!" she hits him with her lost Magic
"What the…" he looks to see a pink ray fly off into the center of the island, he looks to his wrist as a pink band forms on his wrist
"Like it?" she smirked "That spell has linked your body with whoever you hold most dear, so whatever pain you feel, they'll feel" she says as swords made from magic appear "Maguilty Sodom!" she fires them towards the Uchiha
Sasuke jumps to avoid them but one graces his calf on the way causing him to wince, elsewhere Erza was running with Natsu, Lucy and Gray towards the beach where Makarov fell, when she feels a sharp pain hit her calf causing her to stumble "This pain" she notices the band on her wrist
"Erza, are you OK?" Gray asks offering to help her up, "Can't have you falling behind if we end up fighting the leader" he smirked.
"Forget that I want to fight him!" Natsu declared
"I'm fine Gray" Erza says dusting herself off "Let's make our way to Master Makarov" she orders as the rest follow here leave "Be careful Sasuke" she thinks figuring this pain was related to him and whoever he was fighting.
Back with Sasuke who was now even more on the defence, having to rely on his Sharingan to follow the blades. He could easily overpower her but he couldn't bring himself to do it, this girl reminded him of the person he was, and Ultear had made him the Itachi of her life "What do you really know of that night?" he asks, hiding from her sight.
"All I need too, you come from a different world and when you found out you were trapped here you lost it and destroyed my whole village" she says trying to locate him "The aftermath of your anger has been burned into my memories forever, I will never let you leave this island" she ends with a promise spotting him "Maguilty Rays!" she says jumping back and launching yellow blades towards him
"Susanoo!" he says the purple ribcage forms around him, using the skeletal hand to knock her magic away "You've been led astray, your village was destroyed by Grimoire Heart"
"Of course it was" she scoffs before continuing to launch her blades at her opponent with no effect "What's that thing made of" she growled
"Have you ever wondered why Ultear was around at that exact moment?" he asks, reaching with his susanoo to grab her to restrain her "She's the leader of the Seven kin right?"
"She...told me she was looking for you because you stole power from the guild" Meredy says dodging the hand and launching more swords "This getting me nowhere" she says as she places a link on herself. Sasuke realizes too late as she stabs herself with a blade through her thigh, and the pain linked to himself and Erza causes them to feel the same sensation. His Susanoo vanishes as a result, he looks at as she prepares to slice her own throat
"You'd go this far...just for revenge?" he asks with a frown
"It's not just that, I'm also a proud member of Grimoire Heart, your death will improve the guilds chances of wiping the rest of the Fairy Tail wizards out so it's a price I will gladly pay" she declares
"Sharingan!" he casts a Genjutsu on her at the last second, using this to replay that night for her to see
"What's this?" she demands looking around, recognising the village as her own "Illusion magic"
"No...these are my memories" he says appearing beside her "It's as you were told, I was here the night this village was destroyed" he pauses "When I arrived to this world I was lost and confused...Ultear wanted me to help Grimoire Heart summon Zeref, and to do so they needed magic keys" he sees her eyes widen "These keys come from human sacrifice"
"This" she sees a younger Sasuke walking behind Zancrow, Kain and Ulltear who was clearly infatuated with the Uchiha. She wanted to believe this as a trick but in her heart she could feel the emotions of her opponent and knew these were real. She only saw the attack start before it was cut off and they were back on Tenrou Island, the shock caused her to fall backwards.
"There are things I regret about that day" he says limping towards her, as the link was still connected "I shouldn't have let them destroy your village, I let Ultear lead me on for years and it was this night that convinced me my path with Grimoire had come to an end…" he pauses "When I took you from that airship, I regret leaving you with Lamia Scale and dismissing you from my mind" he gets on his knee in front "If I could go back, I'd carry you all the way to Fairy Tail so they could save you...as they saved me, give you a home, like they gave me" he smiles a little "Teach you to love, like they taught me" he mind drifts to Erza for a second "Please forgive me...Meredy" he extends his hands
Every word he spoke was backed by his true feelings, which she herself was linked to, tears welled in her eyes as she lunged at Sasuke, tightly embracing him as she cried loudly. His arm wrapped around her shoulders. Sasuke saw the link fade away, the pain in his leg vanished
With Erza, as they fought their way through a wave of Grimoire Heart soldiers she suddenly felt a single tear run down her cheek, confused at first as she wiped it off, she smiled as the feeling of warmth she only felt when with Sasuke vanished helped her figure out what the tear was for "I love you too Sasuke" she nodded before continuing with their advance.
Out of nowhere a massive shockwave of Malous hit them, weaker does sent flying into the air. Looking back a massive pillar of Orange could be seen above the trees, the feeling of dread no one had ever felt washed over the island
Sasuke's eyes widened as he felt a sense of Familiarity was over him, images of the valley flickered in his mind "This Chakra...just like"
"I'm not going to let Orochimaru take you! You hear me! You're not going anywhere!"
"Naruto"
Earlier
While the battles had begun, Mirajane and Wendy were running to regroup with the others, however they were confronted by another member of the Seven Kin, Azuma. He'd defeated the magic council which had attempted to spy on Fairy Tail and then interfere with Grimoire Heart's goal. He easily overpowered the two, with Mira being unsure of her ability to use take over magic. Azuma who desired to fight a strong adversary dropped his stoic appearance as the thought of fighting the legendary Fairy Tail Demon Mirajane, he began using his magic to try and goade Mirajane into using her full power, with his plan he trapped Wendy in a ticking time bomb causing the Take Over Wizard to panic, unleashing her Demon form, but couldn't draw out much of her magical power.
"Is this really all you have Demon Mirajane!" Azuma asks, as he knocks her back "I expected more" he says looking to the timer on the bomb
"Wendy!" Mirajane calls out to the young Dragon Slayer, hugging Wendy and using her own body to shield Wendy from the blast. When the dust settled, Mirajane and Wendy lay unconscious, with the Lather severely injured
"To think she would go this far to protect someone so weak" Azuma sighed as the stoic expression returned to his demeanor, when he turned to leave however he came face to face with another legend "Ah ha! Naruto Uzumaki, finally a worthy opponent" he pauses seeing the far off look in his eyes.
Naruto could sense both Mirajane and Wendy were alive, he could sense Mirajane would make a full recovery once he healed her...he knew this and yet
"And through this...we are able to know pain"
Everything went dark, a pulse turned into an explosion of dark Chakra and erupted into a pillar that could be seen anywhere on the island
"W-What is this power?" Azuma steps back, looking to his hand he was surprised to see it shaking...this was fear. He looked to the pillar and saw a pair of glowing red eyes looking right at him, before a bellowing roar cracked the pillar like glass and a 4 tailed beast stood where Naruto was before. "Interesting" he smirked, charging forward "Bleve!" he says unleashing a powerful explosion on the creature "How much did that" his eyes widen when the four tailed creature raised it's claw and cut him in half "Such strength" he awed as his upper half fell to the floor "This isn't a take-over like Mirajane" he chuckled as his body began to transform into a tree "I never stood a chance"
The fox-like creature roared again, as Mirajane, stirred long enough to see it all unfold, she managed to get to her knees as she tried to stand. The four tailed fox looked at her and roared again "I-It's okay Nartuo, please calm down" she says with a weak smile. She wasn't afraid of this demon, because she knew it was still Naruto at heart "You won" she adds before the fox charges at her. However before it can hit her, a giant Purple hand slaps it away "Sasuke!" she turns to see the Uchiha land in front of her "Don't that's"
"It's Naruto, I'm aware" he says "This has happened before...but back then there were only 1 tail" he says using his Sharingan to study the beast. Which was now simply observing him.
"2 tails...But that means" Mirajane looks at the beast "Is this it's true form?" she asks
"No, the demon inside Naruto has 9 tails in total, I suspect the longer this draws on the more tails will grow, and the more he'll come to resemble the Fox itself...and if all 9 appear, Naruto will be devoured by the Fox, and then we'll all be in danger" Sasuke says, more to himself as explaining the tailed beasts to Mirajane would take too long. "I used Genjutsu on him last time but…" he stops talking when the beast is suddenly binded by green light-like robes, appearing from it's chest
"Naruto!" Mirajane was about to run to help him however Sasuke stopped her running to make sure the beast saw his Sharingan before casting the Genjutsu, as the lights bound the fox, it's thrashing calmed as the Genjutsu took effect, and slowly a pink and charred Naruto emerged from the chakra as it evaporated. Mirajane ignored all her own pain as she ran to check on the blonde "His skin" she says running her fingers across the coarse skin
"It's almost like, he's lost a layer of his skin" Sasuke says examining him "If it's like before he'll make a full recovery, the demon won't risk it's host dying" he adds
"Naruto…" Mirajane gently caresses his cheek "Freed said he and some of the others were establishing a camp for the injured, I don't think it's far" she says
Sasuke examined her wounds. "Do you think you can carry Wendy?" he asks picking up Naruto, with a nod the stratus picked up the small blue haired girl and led Sasuke into the bowels of the island. His mind drifted back to Meredy for a moment, after they separated she said she and Ultear had a secret boat to get off the island before running off, he wondered what she had planned now that she knew the truth but couldn't stress on her while his friends were in danger.
The Base
The base in question had come under attack itself, with Rustyrose, Kalin and Zancrow having descended on the camp with the intent to pick off the weak and injured. Freed, Bickslow, Evergreen, Elfman and Cana fought them while Levy used her magic to set wards around the injured. However they were simply outmatched...Elfman was the first to fall after he and Evergreen were picked off by Rustyrose, Freed and Bickslow were close to beating him before Zancrow and Kalin joined up with their comrade now it took all their effort just to keep them at bay
"Is this really the best the mighty Fairy Tail has to offer?" Zancrow laughs as he punches the barricade Levy and Freed wrote "This weak spell wont hold us out for long" he adds punching it again
"I had heard stories of Gajeel the Iron Dragon's strength, but he's been taken out by 2 flunkies" Rustyrose smirks
"Shut up! Gajeel could have easily beaten them and then you, if he wasn't already exhausted from the exams" Levy snaps
"Oo feisty" Zancrow smirks "She'll be fun to break" he adds turning to Kalin "Speaking of which, are you done"
"Yes!" the larger man smirks holding up a doll "This is Cursy, once I add the muscled guys hair to it" he says referring to Elfman, once the Curse was complete Kalin used Elfman to attack from within their barrier causing it to be destroyed. The Seven kin members then proceed to target the incapacitated to prevent the others from dodging their onslaught of attacks.
Soon it was only Cana standing, with one blank card with the three kin on all sides "I really thought Naruto or Sasuke would show up...they usually do" she thought.
"What are you going to do girl" Zancrow grins "One card left and three of us"
"Even if you confess your feelings to me I won't hold back!" Kalin declares
"No ones coming to save you" Rustyrose smirked
Cana felt a cold chill of fear, with her last card she fired another red flare, hoping someone was near enough to help the others at least. Closing her eyes, the attack never hit...instead the three members of Grimoire Heart members scream out in pain. When her eyes opened she saw Laxus standing in front of her
"Sorry I'm late" he says to her before looking at all of his injured friends, his Thunder God Tribe. "I'm going to extract all the pain you inflicted on my friends" he says to the members of Grimoire Heart who were regaining their footing.
"Now that's more like it" Zancrow laughed "This is the power of an S-Class Wizard" he says charging at him with his fist emblazoned by flames, and Laxus doesn't even bother to block allowing the fist to connect
"Ts, compared to Natsu's flames" Laxus says with an annoyed growl before planting the loud mouth firmly into the ground. "That leaves you two" he says turning to the others who had already ran off
"Laxus...I" Cana says looking at him "Thanks" she smiles
We are...comrades after all" he pauses "At least" he adds with a smirk
"Alright tough guy, I've already swooned...Help me with the others" she says turning to face the others so he wouldn't see her tinted cheeks
"Yes Ma'am" he chuckles
Team Natsu
Having been delayed by Girmoire Hearts Ace, Blue Note before the arrival of Gildarts, then Gray went off on his own having seen someone who looked like his Master Ur, now Erza, Natsu and Lucy ran towards the ship to face the master. "You know I half expected to bump into Sasuke and or Naruto, the enemies ship on fire and them bickering about something trivial" Lucy says
"We can't always hide behind them" Erza says "We are all Fairy Tail wizards" she adds as they reach ship, where Hade's was standing on the deck looking down "Come children of Makarov, let me taste of your magic" he says lowering the stairs for them to climb
The three ran up fully expecting an ambush, but instead found only the Master of Grimoire Heart alone "Congratulations on reaching this far, not many go so willingly to their deaths" he says with a calmness that sent a chill into the three young Wizards
"I'm going to make you pay for hurting Gramps!" Natsu yells, Hades chuckles "What's so funny?" he growled, his fists engulfed in flames.
"It's just dawned on me, if Makarov is gramps that makes me Great-Gramps" he says as all their eyes widen "I am Fairy Tails second Guild Master, back then I was called Precht. I succeeded Mavis and then passed the mantle onto Makarov"
"That's a filthy lie!" Natsu angrily retorts charging at the older Wizard only to be hit by Hades Bullet Magic
"Believe what you will, reality wont bend to your whims, looking at what has become of Fairy Tail, I regret leaving the boy in charge, he brought magic into the light and made the guild a joke"
"He made Fairy Tail a beacon of hope, a place where anyone could be welcomed home!" Erza says as she equips her Heaven's wheel Armour "Something you'll never destroy!" she says charging at him, her reflexes fast enough to cut through his bullet attack.
"I look forward to finding out" Hades smirks
The Camp
Sasuke had left to go help the others, leaving Laxus incharge of protecting the others. Mirajane was applying a wet rag to Naruto's forehead as he slept, his skin had returned to it's normal pigmentation so he didn't look hurt at all, more likely just mental exhaustion, similar to her own magic when she loses control.
Within Naruto's consciousness he stood in front of the large gate that caged the Nine Tails "Why did you do that?" he asks with his arms folded
"I don't know what happened brat, i was sleeping, like always when suddenly my Chakra was pulled from my body" the Nine Tails says with a scoff
"You expect me to believe that?" Naruto asks when the Nine Tails smashes his head against the bars
"I have no reason to lie, despite giving you my Chakra when you need it, I am still imprisoned in here I have no way of forcing that much chakra through without you willing it" he snarled sitting back "If you broke this seal your power could be so much more"
"I'm grateful to you, honestly for all you've done...but I don't know what will happen if I let you out, the damage could be catastrophic" Naruto says "One day I will, and we can train together...as friends" he grins before his eyes open and he sits up "Mira...you're alright" he says looking at her
She hugs him "Forget me, I'm glad you're alright" she says softly, he pats her back while ignoring Elfman yelling at him to take responsibility.
He stands up "I take it Sasuke is dealing with the guy in charge?" he asks while she stands beside him
"He did go after them" She says seeing him put his cloak on "Wait are you going?" she asks
"I am, with Makarov down it's my duty as his successor to take up his fight and protect Mavis's Grave" he states, sounding almost like an adult "Oh shit I didn't see you guys" he says looking at Cana and Laxus "Don't tell anyone I'm the next Guild Master or Makarov's going to call in my tab" he panics as the adult aura vanished
"Be careful" Mira smiles
"I'll be back before you know it" he says, turning around and walking towards the explosions, Mirajane stared at his back and could see why Makarov chose him. Despite his flaws in her heart as she watched him go to face this overwhelming foe she knew he'd win, he'd keep them all safe...because he's a hero
Elsewere
Gray had come face to face with the lost child of his Master Ur, only she wasn't anything like her mother, she was cold and unfeeling and solely focused on her goal. But despite what she and her guild had done, his debt to her mother caused him to falter allowing her to defeat him "My mother trained you well, but my magic is far more advanced that Maker Magic" she says looking at where Meredy had carried the unconscious Zeref.
"I don't understand, why didn't you abandon Ur?" Gray asks and she glares
"She. Abandoned. Me!" she says "Left me with those monsters" she sighs relaxing "That's in the past, one I plan on rectifying" she says "Once I reach the true source of Magic I'll undo all the mistakes and create a better world" she looks at Gray "For what it's worth, I'm grateful my mother was able to pass on her teachings to you and Lyon" she says "But it's better for her to believe her daughter died rather than see the monster wearing her corpse" she says solemnly before knocking him out.
"I thought I'd find you here" she turns seeing Sasuke staring at her "Thanks for going easy on him" he walked over to stand face to face
"Well he is a sibling of a kind" she says with a tease, "Meredy seems different, you broke the facade I built"
"Why couldn't you leave her where she was, did destroying her home not bring you enough satisfaction?" he asks and she laughs
"Is any of that relevant?" she asks "Zeref is in my possession, the key to the 'One Magic' and my goal of changing my past is almost complete" she summons her time arc orbs "I knew you'd be my last hurdle"
"No" he says standing aside "I won't stop you leaving" he states confusing her as she began to walk past him "I would like to know what you'll do should your plan fail" he asks causing her to stop "If all the horrible things you've done to achieve this is all for naught" crossing his arms "and the path you walk so confidently is a dead end"
"I have to believe this will work, everything I have endured can't just be" she says facing him "Finding the source of Magic is my destiny"
"For the longest time I used to believe my destiny was to kill my older brother" he says and Ultears expression turns to shock "Itachi, my brother killed our whole family in cold blood when I was 7 and tortured me with their deaths in an endless nightmare. From the age of 7 I dedicated myself to the path of an avenger." he sighed, "My desire for revenge consumed me to the point where nothing else mattered, A girl confessing her love for me, pleading with me to stay...I knocked her out and left her on a bench in out village before betraying my nation in the pursuit of power, then I came to this world and thought my destiny was stolen"
"I can see why you were desperate to return" she says "But...why tell me this now?" she asks looking down the path, she could almost see the boat she had store there for her and Meredy's escape "I'm so close to achieving everything I've dreamed about...now you are making me doubt myself"
"Before you make any decision, I think you should look within yourself and ask...is the world I dream of really at the end of all this hatred, or has it been waiting for me all this time" he says "Is it something you can give yourself?" he turns to leave
"Hey...what's your destiny now?" Ultear asks
"Hn...A small cottage on the outskirts of Magnolia" he smirks looking at her "After that, whatever this world has to offer me"
"If you want to beat Hades, destroy The Devil's Heart, the power source for our ship and Hades Magic" she says to him
"Thanks...take care of yourself Ultear" he looks up to the sky "I hope you find what you've been looking for" he says knowing she'd already left.
The Last Battle
Naruto arrived in time to save the trio from Hades, who had planned to eliminate all three with an Amaterasu spell. "And so here stands the infamous Naruto Uzumaki, ranked 7th among the Wizard Saints, and most likely the successor to Makarov, come to die by my hands" he smirks
"And here I was thinking you saved the guild a lot of time" Naruto smirks "Here on the island where the first Master of Fairy Tail is buried comes Fairy Tail's second Guild Master...walking into his own grave voluntarily" he lets out his magical aura to counter Hades dark aura.
"That confidence along with the blonde spiky hair almost makes me believe I'm speaking to a young Makarov" Hades chuckled before unleashing a barrage of Magical Bullets at Naruto, who counters with wind bullets. A few hit their mark on both men, but Naruto's healing magic and with The Devils Heart active, Hades was near invincible. "I know from my dealings with Jellal that you God Slayers have a transformation, similar to Dragon Slayers and their Dragon Force, why don't you show me what yours is" Hades says "And in return I will show you the full might of my Demons Eye" he says opening his right eye, showing a glowing red orb
"I suppose that's fair," Naruto says, removing his cloak, his skin was enveloped in a green glow, with a pattern that has a striking resemblance to the Chakra cloak he will one day unlock after mastering Kurama's powers. His eyes turn from blue to jade green, and his skin is snow white "Jellal's was corrupt, just like the god he got it from, I call it Purification Mode" he says, his voice now matched with an echo
"Impressive, I can already sense it's on a different scale to Jellals" Hades says "Let's see how it handles against this" he says unleashing a powerful glow, moving his arms in a circular motion "Nemesis" his voice speaks lowly, as he summons demons from the ships debris.
"This is living Magic" Naruto states raising his guard
"Correct, chapter 4 verse 12 from the Book of Zeref, 'Demon's Dancing Children and Heaven's Judges' is the title" Hades explains as the demons charge at Naruto.
12 orbs appear around Naruto's backs like truth seeker orbs "God Slayer Sage: Purified Radiance!" One of the orbs expands, destroying the demons, however they materialize as soon as the light from Naruto's spell vanishes "God Slayer Sage: Bellowing Star!" another of the orbs floats in front of Naruto's mouth as he unleashes his Bellow attack, magnifying its power into a beaming light which destroys the demons again, along with hitting Hades and blowing a portion of the ship away.
Erza began to wake up, seeing Naruto standing against Hades alone while one of his clones tended to Hers and the others wounds "Even Naruto can't beat him" she thinks standing up
"Don't engage!" Naruto yells at her, too late as the Demons target her, unleashing their attacks at her and subsequently Natsu and Lucy who were by her side. When the dust cleared everyone was alright, however Naruto had used all but one of his orbs to negate each demons attack and as a result his Purification Mode was almost empty as each orb represented an attack or defence he could use in the mode.
"Unfortunate, but it seems this dance has ended before it truly began" Hades says before all the demons explode suddenly and his Demon's Eye vanishes "My Magic Power!" he says covering his eye "Uchiha!" he yells as Naruto smirks
"My Purification can also detect life signatures, so I knew Sasuke was on his way to the source of your power, and I have just enough magic to make you pay for all the people you've hurt" Naruto smirks summoning the last orb to his palm, surrounding it in a wind "God Slayer Sage: Rasenshuriken!" he says tossing the attack at Hades who had begun casting his "Grimoire Law!", sending the forming Fairy Tail Master through the wall and onto the deck of his ship, defeated. The last of his magic gone, he lay defeated and unconscious, Naruto too fell back, as using this form also means he will be unable to use his magic for the next 6 hours
"You did it!" Erza says catching the blonde before he fell...
"We all did it" Naruto smirks...

The next Chapter will focus more on relationships, Acnologia's attack and the subsequent time skip.
