Chapter 20: A Happy Ending
Clarie sat against the wall in the lobby, calming down, Alador staying next to her, rubbing her back. "I….i can't believe he just came back….like that…..with his brother….that's so awesome!" she said. "Yeah. i didn't think he'd be able to do that….wonder what happened when he was…..well, dead." Alastor walked over. "That intrigues me as well, son. Hopefully Alexander will explain when he, his brother, and Angel return." At that time, Alexander, Damien, and Angel walk through the front door. "You all made it! Does that mean…..?" Charlie wondered. Alexander held up Val's glasses, and dropped them. "Dead as a doornail." "Ha ha! I would have said the exact same thing, my friend." Alastor said. "I knew you could do it!" Charlie said. "Nice job, kid." Vaggie said. Nifty was too giddy to talk. Even Husker walked over, smiling. "Nice work, you little shit. Heh heh, i'll raise a drink for you at the victory party." he said as he took a swig of his drink. "It wasn't all me. It was all of you guys. And my brother. Besides, i let Angel get the killing blow. Look at him." Angel nodded, wiping his eyes, still sniffling. "Yeah…..it was pretty nice." he said. Charlie awed and hugged him. "You're emoting! It's so great to see you showing emotions that aren't flirtatious in any way!" Angel Dust chuckled, hugging her back. "So...what happened when you died?" Alador asked Alexander. "Well, an angel told me i was being accepted into Heaven, but i denied it. Then my brother came with me, and the angel gave me a favor. He said that thanks to the hotel rehabilitating demons, they'd stop doing the cleansings and expand Hell each year just like Heaven. So…...i basically saved everyone." he said. Everyone went silent. "You…..what?" Charlie said. "I got the angels to stop cleansing, and expand Hell, just like they do for Heaven. No one's going to be dying from the cleansing anymore." Alexander said. "I mean, it's no big deal. I just did what i know you all wa-" he was suddenly tackled by Charlie and bear hugged. She was insanely strong for her skinny and smallish stature. "YOU'RE THE BEST!" Charlie yelled, squeezing even tighter. "Ack…..y-you're welcome….my spine….." Angel Dust chuckled, wiping his eyes, Cherri patting his shoulder. Vixen's tail wagged furiously with excitement, and Alastor chuckled at it. Nifty was running around the room cheering. Husker chuckled, and took another victory sip. Vaggie was trying to pry Charlie off of Alexander, while the siblings both hugged each other, happy they could no longer be in danger of the cleansing. Eventually, Charlie let go of Alexander. "Sorry." she said. Alexander cracked his back. "No problem." he said. Damien kind of stayed back, chuckling to himself, when Alastor walked over to him. "So….you're Alexander's brother…..tell me, my new friend…..do you play?"
Epilogue: 3 Years Later
Alexander was playing the piano in the stage room, playing the ever popular jazzy song "I'm Still Standing" which everyone really loves to hear him play, except Damien was playing an electric guitar by his side, Alador singing next to him, and Clarie also singing, sitting on the piano. Things had been going well for the past 3 years. More and more demons were being rehabilitated thanks to the hotel, the expansions each year have been opening new cities and areas for the demons to live and explore, and every now and then, demons and angels started talking and becoming friends, or at least, having a bit of respect for one another. The demons and angels know they still shouldn't combine worlds, but with the rehabilitation, the bad blood between them was slowly sinking into a begrudging friendship. They knew that they would never become like family, or maybe even true friends, but if they can have a slight amount of respect for one another, that was enough, both sides state. And for the Hotel Family, things were always looking up for them too. Alexander and Clarie were officially a couple, going on for about 2 years. They and Damien and Alador formed a singing group together to sing in the Hotel called "Hot Foot Radio." it was a dumb name, but they couldn't come up with anything else. Damien was fitting in really well in Hell, making friends with the entire Hotel Family. Angel Dust had finally gone clean, and was no longer have sex or giving any kind of sexual favor to men anymore. He kept his sexual stature and way of speaking, and still did some pretty sensual dancing for the Hotel, but he was finally happy to be seen as an entertainer, and not just some sex object. He was finally truly happy. For Alastor and Vixen, they continued to help the hotel in any way they could, but always made sure that the kids were kept happy and safe, especially for Alexander and Clarie, who Alastor believes will get married in the future. For the others, like Charlie, Vaggie, Nifty, and Husker, they grew happier each year, working ever so harder to make the hotel a happy place. Things were going very well.
Angel walked into his hotel room and laid on the bed, sighing happily. "Man, the crowd loves me….." he said, putting one leg over the other, his upper set of arms behind his head. "Things couldn't get better." Suddenly, his phone rang, and he answered. "Angel Dust speaking. What's shakin' bacon~?" he asked. "Angel! It's your sister, Molly!" Angel Dust sat up. "Molls? What're you doing, callin' me? Is….does dad know?" he asked. "No, silly. I finally moved out, and i'm moving to the Hotel." she said. "Really? That's great news!" Angel felt even happier. "I saw on the news that you went clean….at least from all the...forced sex stuff. That's good, darlin'" Molly said. "I'm proud of you. And i'm glad your dancing makes you happier now that people know you're an excellent dancer. Are you still going to be the same though?" she wondered. "Molls, of course i will. I've changed, sure, but you're still gonna recognize your little brother. I'm just glad you're comin' to live here. I missed ya, you know. A lot." Angel said. "Oh, hun, i know, but i'm coming over, and who knows? Maybe if i can find the pep in my step again, you and i can dance together." Molly said. "You know…..i'd like that, sis. I'd really like that." Angel said. "Well, alright. I'll be at the hotel in about a day or two. I can't wait to see you again, Angel." "Alright. I'll see ya then. Love ya, sis." "Love you too, little brother." Molly hung up, and smiled. She was sitting inside a limousine, looking out the window as she traveled to the hotel. "These expansions really make a difference in Hell. there's going to be so much to explore, so much fun to have…" Molly said as she sighed happily. "And to see my little brother again. It'll be a delight." the driver looked back. "Uh, miss, are you sure we're supposed to be doing this? I'm sure you dad doesn't know that you took his favorite limo." Molly giggled, and held up a gun to him. "Just drive. No one's getting between me and my brother." she said, and the driver chuckled nervously and kept driving to the hotel.
In Vox's skyscraper, his body was still there, having turned into a skeleton from rotting. No one had entered the building for the last 3 years, and frankly, no one cared about him. But someone walked into the building, and walked to the top floor, entering the main room where Vox used to plan and scheme. The sound of high heels echoed as the person stepped up to Vox's skeleton. "Heh….i knew you couldn't handle the pressure, Vox. i guess that's why you're dead, and i'm not…..if only i could talk to you one last time though….oh wait!" she started typing on her phone, and there was a ding, suddenly, Val's face appeared on her phone's screen. "Ugh….what….where am i….why do i feel like singing japanese songs?" Vox said. He looked up at the person holding the phone. "Oh….it's you….where were you when i fucking needed you, huh?" "Oh hush, Voxy, i was busy doing some other kinds of business. Now, tell me what happened." Vox rolled his screen eyes. "Ugh, fine. Some kind named Alexander freaked me out, and Alastor fucking killed me. So i guess i owe you a couple hundred bucks." Vox said. "Well, yeah, but i'm a nice girl, so i'll go ahead and waive the hundred bucks….and take your throne as a part of the deal." she said, grinning. "Wait wha-" the girl crushed the phone, killing Vox a second time. She pulled out another phone and walked to Vox's throne, sitting down in it. She kept texting on her phone, then sat sideways on it, her legs draped over the arm. The door to the main room opened, and the sounds of steps came towards her, the occasional cane tapping against the ground sound coming too. She looked over, and rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah, you were right. Vox failed, as well as Valentino." "See? I told you, dear Velvet, that you were the true Overlord to rule them all." Velvet sat up, looking at the person who walked in. "So…..tell me this wierd plan again?" the person chuckled, walking to the window. "We will gather some infectious forces…..demons that can spread disease, death, and famine across everything. And….we will spread that disease all over Earth….and create a second Hell on Earth." Velvet raised an eyebrow. "And…..i know it's so we can rule that world, and eventually take over Hell and Heaven….but why do you want to do this?" the person looking out the window turned to her, his eyes piercing yellow, and a grin just as wide. "Because my daughter may be my precious little angel….but she is far from my daughter anymore…..she runs that hotel….has those friends she calls family….and that bitch Vaggie…..she does not deserve to be with my daughter….so if she won't accept her true lineage as my daughter, and the true ruler of Hell….." he stepped towards her, and Lucifer stood in the light, in all of his white shining stature, his clothes not having a spec of dirt or blood on it. "Then i will create my own demons and slaves to rule over….and i'll have her back…...whether she wants to….or not."
