Last Time

The Black Forest Region of Germany…

Believing that everything no longer mattered, Katarina Alves nearly tried to kill herself before being stopped by Eddy Gordo. After that incident, Katarina received some counseling by the wife of Jaco Sousa. Thanks to her tenderness, Katarina was able to back right again in her mind. Things took an interesting turn by the time Eddy and company returned to the Sousa residence. Katarina learned that her guardian, now inside Gigas, was still alive and spotted in Southwestern Germany. With no time to lose, Katarina thanked Jaco and Virginia for their hospitality and kindness. So the group left once again to find Gigas.

There were many things going in Katarina's mind as the group exited out of Switzerland heading for Germany. Was he really still out there? Was Martelo still conscious in Gigas? Maybe Gigas was already destroyed? Could she bring Gigas back to her country? How would that be even possible? Much of these questions troubled Katarina. Then out of the blue, Miguel told Eddy to slow down while riding in the country road within the Black Forest.

Miguel: "Hang on! Look at that!"

Eddy: "Huh?"

Miguel: "All of those trees are knocked down! Maybe he went that way!"

Eddy: "Ladies you awake?"

Christie (Yawn.): "I'm sorry Eddy. What was that?"

Katarina: "I wanna look over there too. Go ahead and park the car."

Eddy: "I was gonna do just that."

Eddy pulled off the road and found a small grassy area to park the rental car. Everyone got out of the car as they all walked towards the path of the broken trees. The path must have went for miles. Christie began using a technique she learned from Julia Chang by carving the trees with a sharp stick, so that the group would not get lost going back for the car. Either way, Katarina did not want to turn around so soon so they kept on following the path. One hour passed, then two hours. By the third hour, Eddy and Miguel though about going back since there were no clues and the sun was going down from the sky. Yet Katarina refused. Then an explosion occured down the valley not too far from the group's location.

Miguel: "Whao! What was that?"

Eddy: "It came from the valley down there. See the smoke?"

Katarina: "It must be him!"

Miguel: "Hold it! Why are you going that way?"

Christie: "Kat!"

Katarina took the more dangerous but shorter route to the source of the explosion by descending down the slope of the forest so she could find out what was behind the blast. The others took a safer way by going around the valley. Katarina went down hills like this before so that's why she wasn't scared of making a mistake by slipping. She still took her time and finally made it down the long hill.

Katarina (In her head.): "Just a little further!"

More noises and clanking sounds could be heard deeper in the forest. When Katarina made into the small creek bank, she finally spotted Gigas who was in combat with someone or something she had never seen before. This individual had on some weird armor and with the face of a skeleton. But the notable item he wielded, was a glowing light green sword. Gigas on the other hand had several scars covering his body due to battling the skeletal man. The skeletal swordsman was going to impale Gigas based on his fight stance. Gigas's power was waning. Could it survive another onslaught or was this the end here? Then the swordsman began to run and leap high in the air for the stabbing blow. However…

Shots fired…

Katarina used her pistols to stop the swordsman from attacking Gigas. The man hits the ground after getting shot by 4 bullets, rolling over several times before coming to a stop. He looked past Gigas to see a woman with two pistols pointing right at him. He angrily yelled in response.

Yoshimitsu: "Who dares to interfere with Yoshimitsu?"

Katarina: "Leave him alone!"

Gigas turns at Katarina starting at her. She stared right back, but the android said nothing. Yoshimitsu gave another warning to the new intruder. Whatever he wanted, Katarina would not give in to his demands.

Yoshimitsu: "You would dare protect that murderous beast? Out of my way or perish!"

Katarina: "Never!" (Drawing her guns again.)

Christie (Yelling.): "Kat! Katarina!"

Katarina briefly turned her head back to see the rest of her group coming from behind her and Gigas. Christie, Eddy, and Miguel were all relieved to see nothing happen to Katarina, but Gigas was damaged from defending itself/himself. Looking back at Yoshimitsu, the swordsman began advancing in their direction. Katarina thought about shooting at him again. All of a sudden, Gigas shielded Katarina. He was protecting her from Yoshimitsu. Yoshimitsu stopped walking and began to examine what just transpired. Suddenly, Gigas spoke to Katarina, as they both lost themselves to the present world around them.

Gigas: "Kat? Kat are you here?"

Katarina: "Papai?"

In a deep separate world…

Martelo (Hugs): "Katarina, I am glad to see you."

Katarina: "Papai! Don't leave me again!"

Martelo (Facing her): "Katarina. Why are you so sad?"

Katarina: "Because…because I miss you. I want to you back with me again. Like how things used to be."

Martelo: "And I miss you too. But things have changed. I was taken for granted and that is why I am in the situation that I am in now. This vessel I am using will not last much longer. This is the only chance I will get to speak with you up close. I have one request for you my dear."

Katarina: "I'm here papai. Tell me."

Martelo: "Live Katarina. Live how you see fit. You have grown up to be very strong. Just the way I have envisioned you. You have no reason to be scared, no reason to fear, no reason to be alone, and no reason to be sorry. We have to go our separate ways now, but I will always be with you. Never forget that."

Katarina: "I will never forget you papai. I just did not want to leave me now."

Martelo: "I know. I know. It cannot be helped. But now it's my time." (Let's her go.)

Katarina: "I…I love you Martelo."

Martelo: "I love you too." (Walking back.)

Katarina's snaps back to reality and looks to see Gigas now down on the ground on his back…

Katarina: "Wha? What happened?!"

Yoshimitsu: "You were in a dream state. That man you spoke with, I see he was inside this being. Along with many other souls."

Katarina: "How did you…?"

Yoshimitsu: "You are mistaken. I used no spells. It was all in your head." (Resheating his blade.) "Forgive me for my aggression. I will take my leave now." (Walking away.)

Katarina could say nothing else, but then…

Christie: "Katarina? We are here with you okay?"

Katarina: "Christie. I…I saw him again."

Chrisite (Hugs.): "Kat's it's okay. It's okay."

Miguel and Eddy then approached the corpse of Gigas…

Miguel: "Is he…gone?"

Eddy: "Looks that way."

Miguel: "I wonder what that other guy said about a 'dream state'?"

Eddy: "I got a hunch that her father was communicating through her as he protected her from that ninja."

Miguel: "Ninja?"

Eddy: "Yeah. I have seen him before, I'm just glad we did not have to fight him."

Miguel: "Hmph. He must not be that tough. He just walked off. Anyway, do we just leave this guy here?"

Eddy: "Got no choice. He's too heavy." (Back at the girls.) "Let's go before we caught here."

With a heavy heart, Katarina did not try to fuss about leaving her father behind this time. Martelo really was gone as Gigas appeared to have lost the power it once had. The android laid motionless on the ground not moving a muscle. Its body was heavily damaged from the recent ordeals it went through. One of G Corp's secret weapons was officially terminated.

The next day, in a hotel room at Stuttgart, Germany…

Katarina: "Miguel. Are you sure you don't want us to go to Spain with you?"

Miguel: "No. But…I guess my family wants to know where the hell I've been all this time. I'm not excited to return either. Much of the country is a mess because of the war."

Katarina: "I see. Wanna come with us? Brazil? I'm sure you are curious."

Miguel: "I'm sick of plane hopping. I need a break. And yet, I still can't believe the tournament got cancelled. The winner of that tournament can end the war, but no! Now it's a c*ck stroking battle between father and son. I hope they both kill each other. I don't care who wins that sh*t!"

Katarina: "Well…even though I lost my father for good. For what it's worth, a part of me feels glad that I met you guys in a tournament like this."

Miguel: "Huh?"

Katarina (Mocking manner.): "Huuuuhhh?" (Laughing) "Why so surprised Miguel? Don't tell me you're not gonna miss me once I leave for good. Well?"

Miguel (Getting embarrassed): "I…don't know what you mean. Aaaaaaiiii!"

Katarina stomps her heel on his foot before he could rise up out of the chair…

Katarina: "Can I at least get you to play with me before I leave tonight? I don't know when I will see you again baby." (Bending her junk right in front of him.) "C'mon, smack me!"

Miguel: "Que? Seriously! Rrrreeeee!" (Digs her heel deeper on his left foot.)

Katarina: "If you don't! I break your toes!"

Miguel: "Ok! Ok! Tttcccch. I'm gonna hit this ass of yours real good!"

Miguel takes his huge hand and smacks Katarina on her right ass check loudly…

Katarina (Sighs): "That's no way to tell me goodbye you jerk!" (Hopping off the bed.) "But do call me Miguel! If you're bored I mean."

Miguel "Whatever. Just go!"

Katarina took her time putting her clothes back on much to Miguel's annoyance. For somebody to get the lucky opportunity to hit her tail, he sure was being condescending. Maybe they would meet again soon one day. Now fully clothed, Katarina gave Miguel a goodbye kiss before exiting out of the hotel room. Miguel could only shake his head in embarrassment. The only woman he truly felt love for was his dead sister.
