Summary: 8 Years after Bell Cranel becomes an adventurer, everything he has built as well as love has fallen after the mysterious awakening across the globe. As a final resort he managed to travel back in time to right before he started his march to the great city of Orario to become an adventurer. Follow Bell Cranel as he fights for a future where everything that he holds dear may survive and faces supposedly impossible odds to achieve his goals.
19: Ganesha
Normal POV
=Bell's Room, Hearth Mansion=
It was currently 11:56 AM, and Wiene was struggling to get out of bed since Bell had her in what she would describe as an immovable grip. She continued to struggle for another 5 minutes until she eventually gave up. As she laid there, she came up with an idea, she closed her fist and pulled one of her fingers and pointed it to his ankle, before plunging the claw that was basically a blade into his thigh.
Bell's eyes shot open as he jumped away from the bed with such force he slammed into the door and flew outside. He quickly got up and jumped around, muttering curses as he tried to settle the pain down.
As the pain finally started to fade, he looked around and noticed that it was really bright outside. Well it was to be expected, he stayed up until 4 AM, meaning that he was up for the majority of the night. Now, with the day half wasted, he apologized to Wiene who huffed before heading down the hall. Bell followed and eventually led her to the dining hall, and found that Hestia and Lili were sitting there with bags under their eyes.
"Ehh, Good morning Kami-sama, Lili" Both of them just looked towards Bell with dead eyes before returning to slowly eating their 'Breakfast'. Bell sat down and took some of the food on a plate before digging in, Wiene seemed to imitate his actions.
As Bell and Wiene ate, he started to notice that both Hestia and Lili seemed to actually not eat at all. They were just moving the food back and forth with the fork, lost in their own heads.
"Lili, Kami-sama, are you not going to eat?" Lili looked towards him
"Sorry, I just have a lot on my mind, Bell" Bell nodded, accepting their answer.
"So, how are you doing with what I told you yesterday?" They froze, not answering as they just stared into their plates.
"We're fine, just process it. After all, it's kind of hard to believe, I mean, sure, you do have an unusual talent and know a little too much, but time travel? That is something that I think both of us need to think about" Bell nodded, What Lili said was understandable, before they started uncovering pieces of Kentaro Ayers Journal, time travel was a concept that was thought of as a myth. People were joking about it but never really taking it seriously, but if it was proven to be real, all that would stop because of the implications of it. A single person could change the fate of the entire world with it. One mistake while time traveling could mean the end of everything, though in Bell's case, either way the world would end.
Bell looked up after shaking the thoughts out of his mind, noticing that he had finished his food. He decided to get up and go visit the Ganesha, in order to get Ouranos attention. He quickly realized that his previous plan to sneak inside was to direct, maybe he could get the attention of someone working with him, and since Hermes is off on some business, the best candidate is Ganesha himself.
Before he left to get prepared, he looked back at the three currently still sitting at the table, Wiene seemed to enjoy the food with a smile, while Lili and Hestia were still lost in their thoughts. Bell guessed that shock was a big factor into this behavior but the look on Hestia's face scared him, she had a look of utter horror, as if there was no hope. Bell mentally noted that he had to talk to her later on.
Bell's POV
=Ganesha Familia
After arriving he looked up at the giant statue of Ganesha with an aloof expression, man what kind of Ego does Ganesha have in order to actually have his own home shaped after him and be called 'I am Ganesha'?
No matter, I slowly went up the stairs, catching the attention of the bystanders. After all, Right now I am famous, The Little Rookie that managed to Win against the Apollo Familia with just 3 members in the Familia.
The crowd that started to form, wondering what I was doing seem to have caught the attention of the captain of the Ganesha Familia, Shakti Varma, a strict and collected person that takes business seriously and follows any command from Ganesha, even if she doesn't agree though she does have moments of hesitation,
The Blue haired, relatively cute girl opened the doors that ironically were at Ganesha's crotch. Don't ask why it's there, honestly not even I know. I slowly walked up to her as she looked at me, up and down, trying to judge my purpose.
"The Little Rookie? This is unexpected, how may I and the Ganesha Familia help you?" I leaned over her shoulder and whispered 5 words. Her eyes widened as she backed up, looking me in the eye for any sign of malice. She calmed down before backing up
"Follow me, I would like to speak to you personally with Ganesha" I followed her, the members of the Ganesha familia were staring at me as I walked through the house, statue? I don't know what to call it. We eventually walked up to sets of stairs before arriving at the personal quarters of Ganesha. She opened the door, revealing Ganesha, who was currently flexing his muscles. I mentally facepalmed as Shakti actually did it.
"Ganesha, we need to talk about 'that'" Ganesha stopped what he was doing and looked serious all of a sudden. He glanced towards me before Shakti closed the doors.
"Why is the Little Rookie in the room if we are going to talk about 'that'" I sighed and decided to tell him the same words I told her, just a little different.
"I know the true purpose of the monsterphilia" Ganesha looked at me with squinted eyes before they morphed into accusing ones.
"Who do you work for?" I pulled my hands up, showing I meant no harm.
"I don't work with anyone, but I do know about the Xenos" Ganesha looked at me, trying to judge me.
"And what makes you think that I know anything about this 'Xenos'" I sighed, it was understandable, not many knows about their existence and Ganesha was trying to play it safe
"I know you're working with Ouranos, trying to intricate the Xenos into our daily life and as an end goal, have them able to live side by side with us. After all, I did visit the village on the 19th floor and met Lyd"
"And what do you plan to do with this information"
"I plan to help you. What the Ikelos Familia is doing to them is unforgivable as well as they deserve to live happily"
Ganesha started laughing which surprised me, it reminded me of Gareth.
"Do you wish to help us? Well, I say the more the merrier, but I do have to talk to Ouranos first"
"Could, I come with? I have some words as well as information that would benefit him in the fight against the Ikelos Familia" Ganesha Contemplated this offer before nodding. He glanced to the side, onto Shakti.
"Shakti, could you inform Ouranos of this development and ask for his verdict?" She nodded before departing. Ganesha then looked towards me
"Well, tell me, what is your relationship with the Xenos?" I smiled
"Let's just say that the girl that I consider like a daughter is one of them" Ganesha smiled in return, clearly happy with the response
"May I ask for her name?" I chuckled, he's not going to understand the meaning of it, but oh well, why not
"Wiene, her name is Wiene"
"Interesting choice of name, why specifically that name?"
"Well, the name was originally supposed to be Welsuine, but that was too long and hard to remember so I shortened it to Wiene. For why that name, it was inspired by the story of Melusine, the story of a female spirit of fresh water in a sacred spring in the river. The description reminded me of her, both personality wise as well as her physical characteristics"
"It's a nice name, and it sounds as if she is really important to you" I nodded
"One of the most important people in the world to me"
The conversation continued after that with me explaining my encounter with the Xenos, as well as Ganesha explaining how he got involved in all of this.
Over all, I spent the majority of the day with him, talking about it, before leaving, and heading towards the top of the Wall to train with Ais.
Ais' POV
=Top of the Wall of Orario, Dusk=
I was standing on the wall, looking out over the setting sun, it was beautiful. I had easily stared at it for 15 minutes before I heard the footsteps, heading up the stairs to the wall.
I looked behind me once the footsteps reached the top, noticing that it was Bell. Today, I was not going to hold back, Bell seemed to know everything about my strategy, so I am going to be ruthless today. It was time for me to teach him something. I walked up to him with a tiny smile.
"Hello Bell, are you ready?" He chuckled with the usual spark in his eyes before drawing his dual daggers "Yeah, the real question is, are you?" he replied. I smiled, and pulled my desperate out, the main problem I have been facing so far when facing him is him knowing my every move, so I have to be more careful, think more about what he does, how he moves, how he thinks.
Instead of rushing like I usually do, I started to circle Bell as he did the same with me. We made multiple laps before Bell decided to initiate the battle. I used my full speed immediately, parrying his blow before hitting him full force with the handle of my Desperate in the face. I faked an elbow to his stomach, as he tried to counter it, but I dodged it and kicked him in the face full force. He flew back so far, I wondered if I did too much. It seems that mixing up my style is working properly.
I walked towards him, hearing him groan, he seemed to be unconscious. I didn't know what to do. I had such difficulty with him before, but now, using what he told me it became much easier, to the point that I knocked him out this quick. Although if he used that 'Heat Tempest' then it would be another story.
That magic is something I have also been wondering about, why is it so powerful? It's extremely versatile like my Ariel. Actually, Ariel is kind of similar to it in the manner that they are both elemental enchantment magic, the only difference that I could spot is that his is based on fire while mine wind.
Why does he have that, I know that my magic comes from my mother's side, but what makes him special, why does he have this type of magic? While I was in my plane of thoughts, I just simply stared at the boy that resembles a Rabbit. Right now he looked peaceful, maybe I should do what he did to me? Maybe it will help to wake him up?
I did the same and crouched down on my knees before positioning his head on my lap, it was kind of pleasant, his face practically ratiates purity alongside something else that I can't really place.
I started to pet the tip of his hair. It was so soft! To the point that it is calming. I started to lower my hand more and more while petting, eventually it was almost identical to petting something like a cat.
As I continued to pet him, my mind started to wander to different mysteries about the boy currently on my lap. For example, why does he grow so fast? We started training around 1 week ago, maybe one day more than that, and he has improved significantly. Maybe not in technique since it may actually be on par, if not better than mine, but in his speed, reflexes and movements. It's almost as if his status is rising so fast that it's possible to perceive it with my own eyes every day we train.
Just by remembering his movements, he probably is at an agility of a level 4, maybe a little higher but his skills with a blade boosts that even further. He seems to be able to read movements masterfully, giving him an edge and allowing him to fight opponents stronger than him.
Today, the only reason I was able to beat him was because he didn't use all of his tricks. He didn't use either of his magics, he didn't boost his speed. He just used his natural speed and skills. That seems to not be enough to beat me who is 3 levels above him, probably 2 in case of agility.
I was dragged out of my thoughts by the sounds of him groaning a little bit, I looked down to see him opening his eyes very slowly revealing those rubellite eyes. His eyes were focused on the darkening sky at first before landing on my golden eyes, at first he just smiled.
"Hey there, Ais-chan" He said calmly, my face reddened a little bit. Chan? Why did he call me chan?
"Chan?" I said in my usual tone. Meanwhile, mini-ais was running around the two of us singing something happily. Bell seemed to redden as he grasped the situation.
"Ais-san" San now? "am, I on your lap?" I tilted my head before nodding.
"Why? Is that weird? You did it to me last time" His face became so red I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.
Bell, faster than I thought possible, jumped away from my lap making strange noises. Now I was confused, that wasn't like him and why would he do that in the first place? We didn't do something weird did we?
"Ais!? Why did you pet me!?" Oh, that, that may not be normal. Why is that weird though?
"But you're a Rabbit" I said simply, he seemed to be confused, after all, why would he make that open mouthed face otherwise?
"Ais, you really are an airhead" What is an airhead "I still can't believe that I am not used to it after all these years" He muttered under his breath, but my enhanced hearing picked up on it.
"Year?" He snapped his head up to me "No, nothing. Just forget what I said" I nodded, Alright I can do that
Bell seemed to make a face saying something along the lines of 'Why are you so easy to convince?'.
"Bell, should we continue with the sparring?" We still have a long time, and mini Ais is starting to annoy me. Mini Ais made a sad expression before huffing.
"Alright, but it won't be that easy this time around" Bell smirked, I readied my weapon, and we clashed
Bell's POV
=Hearth Mansion, 2 hours later=
I entered through the doors to the mansion, I really need to visit Welf tomorrow and ask him to repair my second dagger, or maybe even create the Ushiwakamarunishiki, although I might just call it Ushi. (A/N: There is no way in hell that I am going to spell that name out every single time I mention it, No-ho-ho NO! I REFUSE!)
I walked up the stairs by the entrance before continuing down the hallway before hearing muttering from Hestia's room.
I walked closer and closer before I could start to make sense of the words.
"Why would she show her fangs? Will Ouranos prayers stop working in the future?" Right, I forgot about that. Ouranos prayers keep the dungeon in check, Although I don't know how that exactly works, after all the deities never told us what the dungeon is… wait, what did she mean by she? She surely said 'Why would she show her fangs'.
I walked up to the door before lightly knocking, I don't want to get her mad. After all, a mad Hestia is a bad Hestia. Her muttering stopped, there was a long pause before she sighed,
"Come in!" I walked inside, and lightly waved with a smile that I think would lighten the mood.
"Hey, Kami-sama. I was wondering if you could update my status?" I wanted to play it safe, and I also wanted to do that.
"O-Of course Bell-kun!" I walked up to her… Queen sized bed, and laid down. We did the usual Ritual and before I knew it I was looking at my new status.

Every time I get a new status update, I just get more and more scared. I am growing so fast at this point that every status update is jumping letters. It's getting to the point that even I am speechless. Though, that may be because I haven't updated in over a day, but still…
"Bell-kun, This is starting to scare me. At level 1, It took you around 1 week to be ready to level up, at level 2 it took you 5 days, and now at level 3 it took you 3 days. This is not the usual exponential curve. Your leveling isn't getting harder, it's getting easier as you go" I sighed
"Kami-sama, even I, someone from the future, am speechless. I don't know why my Liaris Freeze is speeding up, this didn't happen previously, in fact, it got harder last time as I went"
Hestia seemed to be in thought for a second, although her eyes showed that she wasn't thinking about my growth but something else, her eyes were the same as this morning, those hopeless ones.
It's best to leave it to her thoughts for now, but if this escalated. Then I have to talk some sense into her.
"Thank you Kami-sama, I am going to go eat before turning in for the day" She didn't respond which worried me. As I left, I was silently wondering if it was the right call to tell her the truth.
That's chapter 19 folks! Before I answer reviews, I want to thank you all for the immense support. I was scared shitless, thinking I had caught Corona, but it seems it was a false alarm and was only a flu. I'm feeling better now, but I won't be able to release a chapter on sunday. 141: Great Chapter as always. I think there's one typo though. In the part where Bell wants to explain himself, i think it should be "bear" with me instead of "Beat" with me.
Also one more thing, the part where Hestia thought Bell was insane, i think it would have been funnier if Hestia ask ".. what's next? Loki with big boobs?". Its just my opinion though, don't worry about it.
Anyways, I was kinda surprised Bell got caught and have to explain everything this "early?". Dunno how I'm supposed to react about that lol. Hopefully the loki familia's reactions will be even more dramatic (if they were ever gonna find out that is).
Well, I'm glad you will put Melen Arc in, with all the changes happening, I can't wait to find out how you're gonna write that one.
