Chi's eyes opened to see nothing but blackness. She looked around in confusion, she thought that she had fallen asleep pressed between the twins.

"He's coming."

The loud voice made the young woman jerk in surprise and spin around, trying to find the source of the voice. A sudden sharp pain in her head made her grab it with one hand and fall to her knees.

"He's coming. You must be ready."

Chi opened her eyes just enough to see what looked like a planet. It had a glowing center, and spikes seemed to cover it. She once again looked around, trying to find the source of the voice speaking to her.

"Warn them."

"Who's coming?" She whimpered as the pain in her head grew worse. "Who are you?"

The planet drew closer and Chi stared at it.

"He's coming."

And then she jerked awake, sitting upright in the bed. Causing the twins to both jerk awake, holoforms disappearing. They both looked around in panic before their optics settled on Chi, concern flowed over the bond at her fast breathing and the fact that she was gripping her now pounding head in both hands.

"Are you okay?" Sideswipe was the first to reactivate his holoform and kneel in front of her on the bed.

"My head…" Chi squeezed her eyes shut. "A dream… there was, a voice…"

She felt Sunstreaker's holoform pull her into his arms as he sent her soothing waves through the bond.

"Something… it was warning me about something." She took several deep breaths, calming herself. "There was a planet?"

The twins shared a look, Chi had never woken from sleep like this. She winced as her head throbbed painfully, before letting them see what she had seen in her dream. Sunstreaker tilted his head in contemplation, before allowing Sideswipe to hold her while he deactivated the holoform and grabbed a data pad to draw the planet like object.

"I've never seen a planet like this." The yellow frontliner muttered as he finished. "You said that a voice was warning you about it?"

Chi closed her eyes as her head pain seemed to get worse, before nodding slowly.

"It said 'He is coming'. And then I saw the planet." She whispered, suddenly feeling just so tired. "I… I need to lay down."

Sideswipe shot Sunstreaker a worried glance as he helped her lay back down, smoothing her hair away from her face.

"You rest, I'll take the drawing to Optimus and explain what happened." Sunstreaker stated calmly, he was also concerned. The bond felt different somehow. "Sideswipe will stay here with you okay?"

Chi nodded drowsily, sending appreciation and love to him through the bond before she drifted back to sleep. Sideswipe let her curl into his chest and shot his twin another concerned look. They both realized that something was different about her.

~.~ ~.~

"Hey, Optimus." Sunstreaker approached the larger mech, the look of concern still on his face. "I need to ask you something. Chi woke up suddenly and said that she had heard a voice that told her 'he is coming'. Then she saw this…"

Optimus studied the yellow frontliner curiously as he took the offered data pad. It was unlike him to be without either Sideswipe or Chi, so whatever it was it must be serious. The Autobot CO looked down at the drawing and his entire frame lurched in shock.

"Chi saw this?" He asked, voice low.

"Yeah, she said the voice told her to warn us and that 'he is coming.' She's also got a bad headache… and the bond feels… different." Sunstreaker shifted on his feet, clearly not comfortable being away from her at that moment.

"Different how?" Optimus was already walking towards the three's room.

"It's… almost muted." Sunstreaker sighed heavily. "But the connection is getting stronger. Like, we can sense her on the other side of it no problem. But her emotions are muted and she seems more difficult to reach."

Optimus hummed and commed for Ratchet to meet them at the room.

"She's sleeping again, so we need to be quiet." Sunstreaker sighed, he was very worried.

As soon as the door opened Optimus was met with a new very strong spark signature. His optics narrowed as he realized that it was coming from his adopted daughter, and he turned to see Sunstreaker's widened optics.

"I take it her spark signature wasn't this strong when you came to get me." Optimus vented heavily.

"No, it wasn't." Sideswipe sounded almost panicked. "And I can't get her to wake up or respond to me through the bond."

Ratchet had arrived just as Sideswipe's voice yelled that from the bed. The medic ran into the room and began running scans to try and get to the bottom of what was going on.

"Fraggit, her spark has gotten stronger. Almost as if it's… morphing." The medic's voice was grim. "Her mind has slipped into a human coma. We need to move her to the med bay immediately."

"What does that mean?" Optimus moved so that Sideswipe's holoform could lift and hand Chi to Sunstreaker before deactivating.

"It means that her spark is getting too powerful for her human body to handle." Ratchet vented heavily. "If we can't stop it her human body will die, I can transfer her spark to a Cybertronian frame, but I won't unless she agrees to do so."

"How?" Sunstreaker's voice was cutting as he carried Chi into the med bay and laid her on a human sized hospital bed.

"I have no idea. Being bonded to the two of you didn't cause this, so I can't even begin to guess at why her spark has suddenly decided to outgrow her body." Ratchet activated his holoform and began placing sensors on her chest and head. "The only thing that I can do is tell you two to stay as close as possible. And one of you needs to try and talk to her, explain what's happening and find out what she wants to do. Like I said, I can transfer her spark into a Cybertronian body, but she has to be the one to make the call."

Sunstreaker shared a look with his twin, their optics flickering as they conversed with each other. The sound of a heart monitor filled the med bay, showing that her heart was still beating at a slow and steady rhythm.

"I'll do it." Sunstreaker finally whispered.

"He'll tell me what she decides." Sideswipe vented heavily, obviously aggravated. "And I'll tell you."

Ratchet studied the two of them before nodding. He knew that Sunstreaker would be the one to talk to Chi, because Sideswipe would try and influence her decision.

"Push that berth over here and be quick. I need to know as soon as possible." Ratchet motioned to the berth, which Optimus and Sideswipe moved to shift closer to where Chi lay on the bed. "Her spark is growing quickly, we have maybe a few hours before it gets too large for her body. She needs to make the decision quickly. I'll grab Wheeljack and Perceptor and start preparing a spark chamber. If she chooses to be transferred into a Cybertronian body the spark chamber and an incubator will protect her long enough for us to get her a body built."

Sunstreaker nodded and laid down on the berth, he shuttered his optics and seemed to fall into a deep recharge.

Chi was only aware of pain, she held her head in her hands and was curled in a fetal position. She had no idea what was going on, or where she was, but at that point she didn't care.

"Little spark…"

Sunstreaker's voice seemed to take the pain away and she looked up at him blearily. The pain on his faceplates made her realize that something was wrong.

"Sunny…" She pushed herself into a sitting position and stared at him. They were almost the same size somehow, even though she could clearly see that this wasn't his holoform. "What…"

"There isn't much time Little spark." Sunstreaker soothed, reaching out to her. "Your spark is outgrowing your human body."

Chi's eyes… no, they were optics. She finally looked down at herself and saw a silver painted chassis.

"What…" She took his hand and let him pull her against him, where she was enveloped in a tight hug. "I… I'm dying?"

Sunstreaker's arms tightened around her.

"Your body is dying…" He whispered against her helm. "And your spark will fade without it. But Ratchet said that he can transfer it to a Cybertronian body, if you wanted."

Chi was frozen, her mind replaying the words that she was dying.

"If that's what you choose it won't be easy." Sunstreaker continued. "You'll have to learn a lot, how to transform, how to intake energon… how to properly care for a new body…"

"If I don't… I'll fade." She whispered, pain lancing through her chest. "And what would happen to the two of you?"

"We would be okay." Sunstreaker sighed. "It would hurt, and we would be lost… but we would live. If only because we know that the others would need us… that you would want us to live."

Chi was silent for several minutes, each second seeming like an eternity as everything ran through her mind at the speed of light. She knew Sunstreaker was holding his own wants and needs back, the bond felt almost dampened. Signaling that he was blocking her from feeling his emotions or reading his thoughts.

"I…" She hesitated, shuttering her optics and clinging to the yellow frontliner. "Tell Ratchet to transfer my spark. I can't leave you or Sideswipe alone. And I feel like… I feel like I'm still needed."

Sunstreaker sagged and unblocked the bond, letting her feel his relief.

"I have to go, but we'll be there for you. Always." He squeezed her tightly before pressing a kiss to her helm.

"Sunstreaker…" She looked up at him, fear evident in her optics. "Tell Sideswipe… tell him that I love him. Just in case…"

"You tell him when you come online." He pressed their foreheads together before reluctantly releasing her. "I love you, little spark. Come back to us."

And with that, he was gone.

~.~ ~.~

"Do it." Sideswipe stated firmly as Sunstreaker's optics snapped open, glowing brightly.

Ratchet nodded; the spark chamber was already prepared. The journey ahead would be rough, but he felt that it would be a success.

Whew, that was not an easy thing to get going, let me tell you. I've had writers block for this story, and my story "A Different View of Things" something awful. But I promise I'm doing my best to get new chapters out.

I hope you guys enjoyed! Please review!

Until all are one,
