Purrloin- Talk About Eye Candy
It late at night in the city, and all was quiet, even in the fancy shopping district. All the shops were closed, and the streets were illuminated only by streetlamps and the low glow of a few lights that were still on in the display windows. It was by that light that a lone Purrloin made her way through the city streets.
She walked leisurely through the night, occasionally looking up at the starry sky above. She also looked at the building that surrounded her, impressed by their size and structure. Suddenly, Purrloin froze in place, her head turned to the side and her eyes locked on the dimly lit window display to her right.
It was a window to a jewelry store, and on display, placed prominently on a pedestal surrounded by various other gemstones, was a rather large masterpiece of an amethyst. It was gorgeously cut and oval shaped, and a little bit larger than a jumbo sized chicken's egg.
Purrloin's green eyes widened and sparkled as bright as the amethyst as she went totally gaga over it. The way the four small dim spotlights around the pedestal shone on the gem and made it sparkle with millions of tiny green lights as it sat upon the crimson red cushion was utterly astounding to the Devious Pokemon.
Purrloin cackled eagerly, and she licked her left paw and pressed her palm against the glass. She then unsheathed a claw on her right paw and scratched a circle around her left paw. Chuckling happily, Purrloin gave the glass a push with her left paw. Her face fell into confusion, and she gave the glass a few more pushes. Frowning in frustration, Purrloin scratched another circle with her unsheathed claw and pushed harder with her paw.
She then pulled her paw off, turned around, and quickly used Hone Claws. She then licked her left paw again and put her palm back against the glass in the center of the circle she scratched into it. She then furiously scratched several more circles into the glass, pushing hard with her paw each time.
She growled angrily as she realized that she simply couldn't cut through the glass window, and pouted for a moment. She then yanked her left paw to pull it off of the glass, only to find that it wouldn't budge, much to her surprise. Blinking curiously, Purrloin gave her paw another tug, then another, then she grabbed her left forearm with her free paw and pulled hard. Purrloin frowned for a moment, her black nose sniffling as she stared at her paw, hardly believing how powerful the suction was. She then wrapped her long tail around her forearm and pulled with that as well. Purrloin threw her whole body into it, leaning back on the heels of her footpaws, closing her eyes, and clenching her teeth, until finally, her paw came off of the glass with a loud pop.
Purrloin landed hard on her back on the sidewalk, breathing heavily from her exertion. She breathed out calmly and opened her eyes slowly. Then her green eyes went wide at what she saw. From her current position, she could see a good sized ventilation shaft on top. She chuckled while smirking deviously as she slowly drummed the tips of her forepaw digits together.
She got back up and quickly used Hone Claws again. She quickly ran to the corner of the building and climbed up onto the roof. She then immediately ran towards the ventilation shaft, chuckling again as she rubbed her forepaws together excitedly. Purrloin easily punctured the aluminum the shaft was made from, and quickly tore the top off and quickly jumped down into it.
As Purrloin fell down the shaft, her cocky, confident smile was replaced by a look of terror as she saw a rapidly spinning fan down below her. She cried out in fear, but quickly swallowed hard and flipped herself into a position not unlike the Tree yoga pose. With her arms extended out from her and her right leg bent, Purrloin landed on her left footpaw right on the center bolt of the whirling fan.
Standing balanced on one leg, Purrloin took a moment to breath, and then did a quick flip, landing on her left forepaw and now balanced upside-down on one paw. Then, using her right forepaw, she hit the center of the fan with Night Slash, making sure to perform another flip off of the fan so she didn't hit her own paw. The attack disabled the fan, and it quickly slowed down as Purrloin stood on the center on one leg again.
Laughing with delight, Purrloin flipped let again and dived down between the fan blades into the shop. Her eager laughter was halted, however, when she suddenly found herself suspended upside-down in mid air. She blinked, and looked up to see that her long tail had gotten caught between one of the fan blades and the wall of the ventilation shaft.
Purrloin blinked solemnly, and then gave a frown and a loud sigh. Her ears suddenly perked up as a loud beeping sounded in response to the noise she made. She squealed in fright as a beam of red light shot right in front of her face. Her green eyes widened as she noticed many more beams of light blinking on throughout the shop. She gulped nervously, then gasped as she suddenly slipped downward towards the beam below her. She chanced a quick glance upward, and saw that her tail was beginning to slip out from where it got caught.
Purrloin swallowed hard again, and cried out a second time as she dropped a little bit lower. Her eye were now focused on the beam of light, which was now less than a centimeter away from the tip of her nose. Purrloin looked ahead of her, and she saw a nearby glass display case. She quickly ran her tongue over her lips, and slowly began swinging her body like a furry pendulum towards the display case. After three swings, she lurched her body forward just as her tail came out from it was caught, and she sailed over towards the display case.
She flipped in mid air, landing feet first on the top of the display case. However, Purrloin found that her footpaws were slipping and sliding across the top of the glass, and she was headed straight from a couple of red beams. Purrloin quickly bent backwards, limbo-ing under the beams as she slid forward. She straightened up quickly, her green eyes growing wide as she saw that she was nearing the edge of the display, where a crisscross of red light beams awaited her.
In a fit of inspiration fueled by desperation, Purrloin quickly licked both her forepaws and then flipped forward, slapping them down onto the glass surface. Her paws stuck to the glass, sending her up into a handstand while also immediately halting her forward momentum.
Purrloin back down onto her stomach and panted heavily and with relief as she looked past the lasers before her and towards the gorgeous amethyst on its red cushion. Popping her paws off of the glass, Purrloin purred with devious eagerness as crouch down, and then pounced forward.
She leapt right over the beams and landed right on the cushion. With a joyous cheer, she snatched up the amethyst and kissed it excitedly, her tail wagging excitedly. However, she suddenly froze in wide eyed panic, and slowly turned her head around. She looked and saw that her tail was within one of the beams.
Purrloin's ears perked up and twitched a bit, and then she visibly relaxed when she couldn't detect the sound of any alarm. She then smiled greedily at the gem in her forepaws, her tail wagging even faster than before.
Purrloin climbed up out of the ventilation shaft, and then practically rolled across the roof and over the edge. She landed perfectly on both feet on the sidewalk in front of the shop, and let out a cackle as she tossed the stolen amethyst from paw to paw. However, in her giddiness, she ended up fumbling the gem, and it ended up falling onto the hard cement sidewalk.
Purrloin chuckled at herself and quickly picked up the gem. However, the moment she had it in her paws, she noticed the large crack that had formed in it. She gasped and took a closer look at the gem. She gave it a sniff, and then grabbed it with both paws. She pulled it as hard as she could, until it finally snapped in two. She then studied the inside of it, and frowned when she realized that the sapphire was paste, a fake.
Purrloin's frown quickly turned into a scowl, and she threw both halves of the fake gem to the ground and started yowling and screeching and flailing her claws in the air. However, she froze in place when two police cars arrived on the scene in response to the silent alarm that Purrloin had tripped.
Purrloin stood frozen solid in mid-flail as she stared at the flashing lights around her. She then quickly got down on all fours and put on a sad-looking frown. She made her green eyes as big as she possibly could, and let out the cutest sounding cry she could muster.
