PART 2
Chapter 2x6: Lost Hope
After the lost battle, the remaining people got back to the base of Wakanda, Arash almost lost it again when he saw that Shuri was gone just like T'Challa and the others, but what really broke him was when he tried to contact Ned, MJ and May, none of them answered, only Eddie which mean that the others were gone.
But that wasn't all, the Persian boy got a call from his Aunt, he thought she was maybe just freak out about some people around disappearing...but she call to broke the news that his uncle, brother and sister were gone too, that just leave him in an almost catatonic state on their way back to the Avengers Compound.
Once they were back Natasha helped the teen into a room, talked to him trying to comfort him and suggested him to take a bath before leaving the room, Arash stared at nothing for what it must be 5 minutes but felt like an hour, he stand up and do what Black Widow told him and took a bath, once he was done, he do more staring but now at himself on the bathroom mirror before getting out.
"YEEZUS" - yelled Arash surprised to see Thor sitting on his bed staring at the floor - "what are you doing?" - He asked confused
"I'm sorry...I should...if I was better..." - trailed Thor
"No, hey...Thor...is...is fine" - said Arash trying to sound sure
"You are in pain...and if I had killed him...you wouldn't be" - said Thor
"We all had the chance, he just was stronger than we thought" - said Arash before moving to sit next to the Asgardian - "it's not your fault" - he said looking at him but realized he was just like him staring at nothing - "maybe you should go and take a bath like I did...it really helps" - he suggested
"Yeah...I will...ok" - said Thor before standing and walking away
Arash didn't know how he could come out with something helpful to the God of Thunder as he was in the same state, maybe it was all his knowledge and training in politics that help him push through his pain or maybe the bath really did help or he was only trying to remain positive to the possibility of Peter being alright like Natasha and Bruce tried to assure him before, after losing family, friends and people in his country, Peter was his only hope for a silver lining on this mess.
In the night the Prince was lying on the bed curled up in a ball, looking at the wall, he felt very tired but had trouble trying to close his eyes without seeing Winter Soldier and Scarlet Witch disappearing in front of his eyes and his mind raced with images of other people with the same fate, but no tears were coming any more from him, the door of his room opened and he didn't mind to see who it was thinking it was Natasha or Bruce checking up on him, then he felt a weight behind him on the other side of the bed and before he knew it an arm was wrapped around him, he recognized the arm from the same that hold him at some point in the battlefield.
"Thor?" - asked Arash quietly
"I don't feel like being alone right now...I thought you didn't wanted to be alone as well" - stated Thor
The Persian boy didn't fight, didn't make a comeback comment or step out the embrace, in other moment the situation of having the God of Thunder shirtless with sweatpants cuddling him would make him feel some type of way, but right now he didn't feel anything except warm and that was enough to make him finally close his eyes and fall asleep.
Arash had a routine: he had walks around the green area of the Avengers Compound with Natasha as she tried to make a little conversation between them, he sat on the lab watching Bruce work around with Rocket, Banner tried miserably to make him talk more but settle with just ask help sometimes to at least make him move around to not just sit and stare at nothing, last but not least he sat on the couch watching old films with his night cuddle partner/almost roommate/God of Thunder.
Thor turned out to be a very supportive for him during this time and Arash tried to be the same for the him, both were in the same lane of feeling almost numb about everything, the only thing that felt right was being there for each other, they didn't need to even talk, just sitting next to each other, cuddle together at night or just a simple supporting touch of a hand on their shoulder or even holding hands, was enough for them to show they were there for each other.
Arash convinced his Aunt to keep everything quiet while he still had things to solve, those "things" were actually just him waiting for news about Peter and Stark, but nothing came 10 days after The Snap, except a day out with Pepper who he wasn't very familiar with but still took him out that day to buy food for the Compound.
"I'm surprise you are here and not in your country with everything happening" - said Pepper as she was sitting next to the Prince while Happy was driving the car
"I arrange myself with my Aunt, she's crushed about my uncle, brother and sister gone, but I plead her...I'm crushed too...but I still need answers" - explained Arash
"I see" - said Pepper
"Did Natasha or Bruce put you up to this...or both?" - asked Arash
"No, I just thought..." - trailed Pepper turning to look at the teen who look at her with a unimpressive look on his face - "...ok maybe they have told me something, but I understand what you are going through more than them, after all they are still here for each other while you and I wait" - she explained before sighing looking out the window
Arash couldn't think of something to say after that, even this was a plan from Bruce and Natasha with Peppers help to take him out of his funk, what Pepper was saying is true, both were in the same position, she was waiting for Tony to come back just like he was waiting for Peter.
"Can I ask you a question?" - asked Arash
"Sure anything" - said Pepper
"How did you and Mr. Stark figure out that you guys had more than a friendship or work relationship?" - asked Arash
"Tony surely knew it just when he met me" - said Pepper with a smile - "in some unconscious way I think I knew it to, but I was just in denial, he was always so caught up in everything he did that I try to stay away from the idea" - she admitted
"Then how did you make it conscious and accept the idea?" - asked Arash
"It was the little things" - stated Pepper - "you maybe see the whole picture and think nothing out of it because you keep trying to stay away from the idea, but if you take the little things and moments between you two, that's how you learn to accept the idea and let each other finally take that step" - she explained
Arash started to think about the statement and he remembered that every time he thought that there was a moment between him and Peter he just brush pass it because either Liz or now MJ but all of the things Peter did and the things he said...
"I could never get tired of having you around me" - said Peter cheerfully
"You look really nice for your first day" - said Peter looking at Arash in awe
"So...you care if I get hurt?" - asked Peter with a slight smile
"I will try not to get hurt and nothing is gonna happened to me, I promise" - he said
"He is not his boyfriend/my boyfriend" - said Peter and Arash at the same time
"I just didn't want you to leave like that...mad at me" - said Peter turning to look at the Prince lying next to him in bed
"Same reason why you join me in patrols, I will not forgive myself if something happens to you and I wasn't there to help" - said Peter with a smile
"We" – he said grabbing Arash hand – "we are a team, remember?"
"Nothing, see you around" – he said and with a quick move he movedforwardkissing Arash in the cheek before walking away
"You are here and with my suit, I'm so happy" – he said smirking at Arash after spinning him around in his arms
"Maybe next time...we can go together" - he said while slow dancing with the Prince
"Is just that...I want to impress someone on this trip" - said Peter nervously
"Then why would I work so hard on doing a playlist for both of us to listen during the whole ride?" - He asked
"Oh my god...you...you are right" - said Arash surprised turning to Pepper - "he knows...he totally knows and I was just avoiding it" - he added turning to the red haired woman who smiled at him - "thank you Ms. Potts" - he said smiling back at her
"It's alright" - said Pepper putting her hand on the Prince's arm giving it a light squeeze
Day 23 after The Snap, Arash was slowly losing it, not only very unsure about Peter's state, but his aunt was getting all up in his nerves, he really understand somehow that he had to go back to the country and help her, but after he figure out that Peter liked him back he couldn't just leave, he needed to know if he was alright.
"I KNOW THAT YOU NEED MY HELP, BUT I GOT THINGS TO DO HERE, CAN YOU PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT?" - yelled Arash on the phone - "I LOST THEM TOO, YOU AREN'T THE ONLY ONE WHO LOST PEOPLE, THAT IS WHAT I'M TRYING TO WORK OUT IN HERE" - he added - "FINE IF YOU WANT SOME HELP CALL IT, BUT I'M STAYING A LIL LONGER" - he said before hanging off and sitting on the couch putting his hands on his face to muffle a scream
He felt a large hand rubbing his back for support, he didn't need to turn to know it was Thor, after letting all out the Prince took his hands from his face and turned to see the God of Thunder giving him a half-smile.
Arash was about to thank him when a sudden rumble sounded close to the Avengers Compoud and both saw a decoration piece on the table in front of the couch shaking, he stood up to turn to see the others noticing as well things shaking and everybody leap into action to run outside to see what the commotion was all about.
Everybody went outside on the yard of the Avengers Compoud, a spaceship was arriving being carried by a female woman that was glowing, the blond woman slowly landed the spacecraft, the landing gears deploy as they touch the ground.
Arash, Steve, Rhodey, Pepper, Natasha, Bruce, Rocket and Thor all approached closer to the spaceship, when the entry hatch opens everybody could see Tony Stark being supported out of it by a blue alien, the Persian boy body started to shake nervous at the scene, Steve was the first to approach Tony who looked very skinny and weak, he gripped Cap's arm for support as he stumble out.
"I couldn't stop him" - said Tony in a weak voice
"Neigher could I" - said Steve
"Mr. Stark?" - Asked Arash getting close with his eyes full with hope - "Peter...is he...inside?" - He asked in a shaky voice almost crying Tony looked at the boy with a sad look in his eyes
"Little Prince...I..." - struggled Tony closing his mouth and look down sighing before looking up at the teen - "I'm sorry...I...I lost him" - he said
"No..." - said Arash backing out slowly as he started to cry
"Arash..." - said Natasha getting close to him
"NO!" - Screamed Arash - "You promised!" - He accused pointing at Black Widow - "and you too" - he said turning to Bruce
Before any of them could say anything else to the Prince he started to run from the scene with Bruce and Natasha following him until he stopped close to the lake falling on his knees and screamed sending a wave of golden energy around him making the Avengers that were following him stop before the wave could get them.
Arash lost the only hope he had on everything, his worst fear became real, Peter was gone just like his friends and his family, he felt empty like he didn't have anything else, he couldn't move, he didn't wanted to move, but he didn't need to as he felt someone pulling him up and carry him in bridal style.
"I'm sorry" - said Thor as he carried the Prince who put his arms around the Asgardian's neck and cried on his shoulder.
A/N: I'm sorry everybody, I know I give you guys hope like Natasha and Bruce to Arash that Peter was gonna survive Titan...but well.
I wanted to go with a storyline where Peter actually comesback too, but I thought:
1. If Tony barely survived coming back, imagining Peter and more being Teen in the middle of growing up and stuff
2. Arash needs some grown, I think his character didn't have much develop (or maybe even none) during part 1, so I wanted him to go through.
3. Lastly, I wanted to introduce Persia, I think all that is gonna happend in this part is crucial for my plans and what I'm currently writing in Part 3.
Anyway I don't know if you guys catch the reference to "Far From Home" with the To Do List, I wanted to have references to it like I said in the second chapter of this part, hope you guys like that reference, I actually thought it was cute that Peter did that list so...yeah, if you guys lime that or more please support this story with a Fav or Follow if you can do it and also maybe leave some feedback with a Commenr or Review, see you guys next chapter ;p
