They had to take cover underneath another shop eventually, his drenched haori turning into more of a burden than of any help. While Tanjirou checked on Nezuko, Shinobu mourned her ruined plants, glaring poisonously at the sky.

"Sorry, Shinobu-san. I meant to tell you that rain was coming, but I completely forgot!"

Shinobu sniffed, carefully wringing out her haori.

"It's my fault we're stranded. We should've just gone straight home." She gave him a rueful smile. "Forgive me."

"No, Shinobu-san," he took her hands, to Shinobu's surprise. "I… really enjoyed dinner with you. But please let me pay next time!"
