Soundwave took a deep breath before entering the bridge. Seeing his father staring at the observation screens.
"Soundwave, Orion grows more curious towards his work, he's even began to question why Starscream is nowhere to be found." Megatron spoke to his youngling, who listened to him silently. "I told him Starscream was dead of course. But Orion needs to be isolated from all distractions while working. You're included as one of those distractions..."
Soundwave understood what his father was hinting at, but he thought he would try his luck at arguing. "But if Orion some how returns to his Prime state, I will have the knowledge of cracking those co..."
"Do not question my orders, stay away from Orion when he's deciphering codes!" Megatron spun around snarling at his youngling. "If you do not do as I command, you can join Orion's corpse after he's done deciphering the database!" The warlord threatened, backing his youngling towards the door.
Soundwave nodded not say anything further, making a hasty exit out of the bridge. He shook his helm with a scoff. "He'll never change..."
Orion Pax walked down the hallway, seeing the violet young mech walking towards him, clearly mumbling to himself about something.
"Fragging idiot... if I know how to decode, it won't be a big deal if Optimus returns to the Auto... Oof!" Soundwave took a step back to see who he ran into. "Sorry..."
"That's alright youngling, you seemed quite preoccupied." Orion Pax smiled kindly at the violet young mech.
"Pfft... sure..." Soundwave looked away. "Where are you going?" He changed the subject.
"Back to my work station." Orion pointed to the door behind Soundwave.
"Oh, sorry, I will stop bothering you now." Soundwave quickly apologized, trying to hurriedly walk away.
"Would you care to join me? I can give you more lessons. Though I don't think you need them, you've caught on so quickly." Orion said following the youngling.
Soundwave halted, he wanted so badly to take his Uncle's offer, but knew he would get caught by his father undoubtedly, as the gunmetal grey mech checked on Orion's progress often. "Sorry Orion, I can't..."
Orion could tell Soundwave was hiding his real reply, he wondered why the youngling felt the need to lie and apologize. "I thought the ship was already running optimally?"
"Yes it is, of course, I won't let it run any other way. Unless some moron screws up my work." Soundwave scoffed, openly saying he had no reasons to avoid the lessons.
"Well if you're not busy, why don't you join me?" Orion raised his optic ridges at the violet young mech.
"I can't, sorry Orion, I have to leave." Soundwave escaping the conversation.
Orion Pax sighed, walking into his work station.
Soundwave groaned seeing the red medic walking his way.
"Soundwave, Lord Megatron was looking for you." Knockout mentioned with his usual sassy tone.
Soundwave rolled his optics behind his mask, of course Lord Megatron needed him again.
"I'm going on a mission, but I'll give you a warning. He was not very impressed that you ran off on him." Knockout mentioned as he continued down the hallway.
Soundwave halted his steps, staring at the bridge door, that lay further down the hallway. With a swift pivot the violet mech left down the hallway in the opposite direction. His spark skipped a beat, as he tried to figure out the logical reason behind running away from his father's beckoning.
"That didn't take long for you to change your mind." Orion chuckled, glancing over his shoulder at the violet young mech.
Soundwave walked up to the mech, reading the text on the screen. "You uncoded another?"
"Half of it, perhaps you can finish decoding this one." Orion Pax gestured for the youngling to use the console.
Soundwave began decoding the rest of the code, before pausing, staring blankly at the console keys.
Orion raised an optic ridge at the frozen youngling. "Something on your mind youngling?"
The violet young mech sighed deeply, looking away from the console and monitor. "I shouldn't be here..."
"What's the matter youngling?" Orion asked, wondering why Soundwave seemed to constantly be unsure of himself.
Soundwave sighed, ready to answer the quizzical mech. "I'm not supposed to be distracting you. I was supposed to meet my..." the violet mech stopped mid sentence as he felt rage and furious power flutter in his spark. "I have to go!" Soundwave quickly created a bridge leaping into it as soon as it appeared.
Closing the bridge Soundwave went stepped towards the bridge door, only to have it open to reveal his enraged father.
"Soundwave! How dare you keep me waiting, I wanted you to oversee the space bridge power source mission. But it's to late for that now!" Megatron scolded his son, who followed him into the bridge, where Airachnid stood with a smirk. "You were with Orion weren't you? I thought I banned you from disturbing him!"
"Oh Soundwave, how have you gone from the most loyal Decepticon, to the biggest disappointment?" Airachnid's evil voice dripped with venomous sarcasm. "disobeying your father's wishes..."
"Silence Airachnid!" Megatron silenced the creepy femme. "The least you can do now Soundwave, is send a ground bridge for Knockout and Breakdown!"
Soundwave gave an unnoticeable wince as he was screamed at by his father. Doing as he was told, the violet young mech created a bridge in one of the ship's hallway's.
It only took moments for the tension to build up further in the bridge, as Knockout made an announcement to Lord Megatron. "My liege, I have good news, and bad news. We retrieved the power source. But an Autobot followed us in, and is on a seek and destroy path to Orion Pax!"
"Argh!" Megatron turned to see a motorcycle driving down the hallway displayed on Soundwave's visor.
"Arcee, allow me to welcome her aboard..." Airachnid suggested.
"No! If Orion lays optics on an Autobot, let alone witness it's destruction! Everything he currently believes will be called into question." Megatron snarled at the femme. "Soundwave, see to it that Arcee, is escorted off this ship, immediately!" Megatron ordered his youngling to deal with the invader.
Soundwave nodded in response quickly making his way towards the invader. He strode down the hallway with purpose, going towards the sound of gunfire, followed by the roar of a motorcycle engine.
Orion was curious to the sound of gunfire being exchanged, wondering what the commotion was, he wondered out of his work station, even after being advised to stay, by an Eradicon.
Arcee tore down the empty hallway at full speed, determined to find Optimus Prime. Rounding the corner she locked her sights on the violet mech standing at the end of the hallway.
Orion casually made his way down another hallway, beginning to see the violet young mech's back, as he approached the next hallway.
Arcee was surprised to see that Megatron had sent Soundwave to rid of her, she wanted nothing more but bring both Soundwave and Optimus home to the Autobots. Pushing her feelings aside, Arcee knew Soundwave was too far gone with Decepticon corruption, bringing him back was out of the question. Without a second thought she accelerated towards the unmoving violet mech.
As much as the femme's engine roared and echoed, Soundwave could hear the familiar large footfalls of Optimus coming towards him, from the opposite hallway next to him. He had to think quickly, he could not just capture and release her, it would be best if Orion saw nothing of the Autobot. Soundwave's visor flashed with a randomized choice of coordinates, and the schematics of ground bridge mechanics.
Arcee continued her charge, she was going to have to attack Soundwave, she leapt up in her vehicle mode to tackle the mech.
Soundwave conjured up a bridge inches in front of him, just as the motorcycle leapt up at him. In a vivid flash, Arcee disappeared with the bridge as it quickly dissipated in front of the violet mech.
Orion Pax curiously walked up to the lone youngling standing motionless in the hallway. "Soundwave are you alright, I heard a commotion?"
Soundwave looked over his shoulder at his Uncle, remembering his father did not want him to converse with Orion unless he was off duty. With a heavy sigh, Soundwave turned his helm, walking back towards the way he was facing, leaving down the hallway without saying a single word.
Orion Pax was a little put off by the violet mech's actions. He worried about the young mech's odd behaviour, seemed more like a crushed spirit though, he thought. Orion began to wonder what happened to the bubbly, inquisitive, young soul, Soundwave used to have, when he raised him back on Cybertron. Not thinking about it too much, he walked back to his work station.
Soundwave walked back into the bridge, feeling terrible for leaving his Uncle without saying anything.
"Excellent work Soundwave, I have heard no inquiries from Orion, you saved us all some grief." Megatron scoffed clearly satisfied with Soundwave's work.
Soundwave stood silently as he was praised, watching the creepy femme scowl behind his father.
"Soundwave, I need you to escort the transport team to the space bridge location, so we can finish the job."
Soundwave rolled his optics behind his visor at the meaningless task given. He knew Megatron was just trying to keep him from interacting with Orion Pax, by sending him on stupid pointless little tasks. Giving a nod, he reluctantly did as he was told. Meeting up with the transport team on the flight deck, as Soundwave created a ground bridge to the space bridge location. While following the team into the bridge, he could see the flight patrol returning to the ship, not noticing the extra jet flying behind the squad.
Hearing the door swish open behind him, Orion Pax turned around from the monitors, to see Commander Starscream aiming his weapons at him.
"Optimus Prime?!" Starscream gasped, dropping what energon he had stolen, to aim his weapons at the red and blue mech.
"Please, I mean no harm." Orion Pax quickly said to the defensive mech.
"Oh, then what are you doing here?!" Starscream hissed, still keeping the Prime at gun point.
"Research, for Lord Megatron." Orion Pax simply replied.
"Is this some kind of joke?" The seeker scoffed clearly just as confused as Optimus was.
"I do not understand." Orion tilted his helm in confusion.
Starscream couldn't believe what he was seeing, lowering his arms, as clearly the Prime was confused and harmless.
"And why did you call me Optimus Prime?"
Starscream raised an optic ridge at the red and blue mech. "Uh, why wouldn't I?"
"Because my name is Orion Pax. I am far from being a Prime." The Prime replied to the confused seeker.
Noticing the Decepticon shields on the Prime's arms, Starscream finally realized Optimus was not of sound mind, and was now under Megatron's influence. "Oh, you just reminded of someone I once knew, that's all."
"You are Starscream." Orion Pax stated.
"Yes..." Starscream gave a drawl reply to the mech's statement.
"Lord Megatron told me you had been terminated." The red and blue mech told the silver and gray mech.
"Lord Megatron says many things, only some of which are true." Starscream smirked at Orion.
"You... don't suggest that our leader would speak falsehoods?" Orion Pax questioned Starscream.
Starscream laughed in the Prime's face. "The only one that tells the truth on this ship is Soundwave. That's if that stupid mute youngling, is still on this ship. And that's if you can actually pry him to speak to you."
"Still on this ship? Why would Soundwave not be here?" Orion was now very confused with the seeker's riddles. "Soundwave's Megatron's youngling, and a very loyal Decepticon."
"You truly are being kept in the dark aren't you? Soundwave was an Autobot, with that psychotic brother of his." Starscream snorted.
"You speak in many riddles, Starscream." Orion approached the wary mech. "Please, tell me what it is that you know."
"And in return?" Starscream of course had to barter with the innocent minded mech.
Orion had no time to reply as the door swooshed opened revealing three Eradicon flyers aiming their blasters. "Starscream, surrender!"
Like a coward Starscream yelped hiding behind the towering mech.
"Hold your fire." Orion tried to halt the Eradicon's actions.
Starscream took that pause of action as his chance to escape, transforming he took off down the hallway past the soldiers.
"Remain in the lab." An Eradicon told Orion.
"But I..."
"Lord Megatron's orders." The Eradicon did not give Orion Pax the chance to speak, as he shut the door, leaving the two other soldiers behind to guard Orion.
Soundwave and the team returned to the flight deck just in time to see Starscream's grand escape, blowing up the bay doors to the flight deck right off. The seeker zoomed past Soundwave and his team, desperately speeding towards the end of the ship.
Soundwave couldn't very well allow Starscream to invade, and damage the ship, to escape so easily. Transforming he soared after the silver seeker, firing his weapons at Starscream.
"Ah, Soundwave! I'm surprised you haven't returned to the Autobots yet!" Starscream gasped trying to evade the gunfire.
Releasing Lazerbeak, to disorientate and throw the jet off course, Soundwave ignored Starscream's comment, for now.
Lazerbeak fired his own shots at the escaping fighter jet, swooping in front of the jet causing Starscream to veer off. Allowing Soundwave to land a devastating blow to Starscream.
Megatron ran out of the smoking doors, just in time to see Starscream's smoking jet mode plummeting to the ground below.
Soundwave veered around, transforming, landing gracefully on the flight deck.
Megatron grinned evilly as his son strode towards him. "With no medical assistance, that injury will become dire over time."
Soundwave tilted his helm at his father, as Lazerbeak returned to his torso. A slow painful death, he thought.
"I have to check on Orion, to see if Starscream created any issues with our archivist." Megatron growled walking back into the ship through the plume of smoke, with Soundwave in tow.
"I will speak to him alone." Megatron said as they approached the corner to Orion's work station door.
Soundwave halted as Megatron continued to the Prime. Soundwave took a couple steps backwards to stand against the hallway wall, waiting for Megatron's return. However his father's conversation with his Uncle was not going to be unheard. Soundwave tapped into the work station feed, watching as his father interacted with the weak minded Prime.
"Orion, I am so sorry for the recent commotion. You weren't in anyway harmed, were you?" Megatron put on his phoney concerned tone.
"No Lord Megatron. But why did you tell me Starscream was dead?" Orion replied.
Can't wait to hear the lie he will tell him, Soundwave thought to himself.
"Because he is dead to our cause. Starscream was my most trusted lieutenant, until he turned traitor and joined the Autobots." Megatron strode away from the quizzical mech. "Never have I witnessed a more profound act of deceit." He turned back to face his brother. "He did not do or say anything troubling to you?"
"No." Orion replied simply, he did not think what he had heard from the seeker was troubling information.
Megatron took a small moment to reply, in a way he did not fully believe that reply to be true. "Good. Perhaps it is best to forget the entire incident and return to your work for a while longer before recharging." Megatron strode out the door.
"As you wish, my Lord." Orion Pax replied just before the doors shut tight.
Soundwave shook his helm, how could Optimus willingly believe any of what Megatron said. Hearing the large footfalls of his father, Soundwave kept his gaze to the corner of the hallway.
"Orion was never adept at art of deception." Megatron said as he continued down the hallway, he knew his youngling heard what he had said to Orion. "I made a mistake not terminating Starscream when I had the opportunity. A mistake I do not intend to make again!"
Soundwave walked beside his father, listening intently to his words.
"Who knows what that traitor expelled to him, I want you to look back on the security feeds and find out, just what that coward said to Orion. Then report back to me." Megatron said as he turned into the bridge while Soundwave continued towards the broken bay doors.
Sighing Soundwave figured he would have to repair the blown doors, but was pleasantly surprised to see that the Eradicons were already doing the repairs. Turning back around, he began to do his research on the seeker's invasion.
Mirage's engine roared as he entered the base, transforming he walked over to the lone medic at the monitors. "No energon spikes detected. Have any of the others found the space bridge yet?"
"They haven't reported in yet." Ratchet replied quietly in an empty defeated tone.
"Ratchet, are you alright?" Mirage tilted his helm, he could tell the mech was depressed without Optimus by his side.
"Hmm, yes! Yes, let's just get you to the next quadrant..." Ratchet was almost caught off guard by the youngling's question. But had to show that he was strong, as the youngling no longer had his father or brother by his side.
Mirage sighed knowing Ratchet was putting on a brave face for him.
Both bots looked up as one of the monitors flashed with an alert. Ratchet approached the console reading it.
"What is it?" Mirage followed the medic.
"A high frequency signal... with an embedded message. For me?" Ratchet replied surprised.
"Optimus?" Mirage said in a hopeful tone.
Ratchet clicked on the message to see who had sent it. "Starscream. I have obtained information regarding your leader. Bring medical kit, come alone."
"Let's go." Mirage said putting in the coordinates into the ground bridge control.
Walking through the bridge to see the seeker sitting on the ground wounded, and leaking.
"I told you to come alone!" Of course the first thing out of the seeker's mouth was a complaint.
"And since when do we listen to you?" Mirage scoffed, cocking one of his swords at the mech.
"Where is Optimus?" Ratchet asked.
"Patch me up, and perhaps I'll tell you." Starscream smirked.
Mirage and Ratchet both exchanged emotionless glances.
"Argh, have sympathy, I'm leaking here." Starscream growled gesturing to his wound.
"Then I suggest that you speak quickly. Has Optimus been harmed, in anyway?!" Ratchet demanded from the wounded seeker.
"He's fine, fine! Can't you see I'm the one who's been harmed?" Starscream retorted with a whine.
"Where is he?!" Mirage demanded.
"Where do you think?! He's on Megatron's warship!" Starscream hissed back.
"Which is located where?" Ratchet growled.
Starscream chuckled through pain. "Now, who knows. It's a ship, it moves! It took me months to track, only to get fired upon, and shot down by Soundwave!"
Mirage perked up at hearing his brother's name, surprised his brother was the one who wounded the seeker and not Megatron.
"You wouldn't go to the trouble of calling me here unless you had information to trade, real information." Ratchet hissed at Starscream.
"Ugh... very well. Your beloved leader may have lost his senses. He goes by the name Orion Pax now, and it seems Megatron has led him to believe he's a Decepticon." Starscream sighed telling the Autobots what they already knew.
"Pft... tell me something we don't know?" Mirage snorted.
"What?! How could you possibly know that?!" Starscream gasped angrily.
"We're wasting our time here." Ratchet turned to the red youngling.
Mirage nodded turning to go back through the bridge with Ratchet.
"Wait, that's all I have, really!" Starscream whined for help. "You can't just leave me like this!"
"Unless you know where Megatron's hiding his space bridge. You can stay here and rust." Mirage hissed at the whimpering seeker.
"Space bridge? You mean to tell me that they actually finished building it without my supervision?!" Starscream out bursted gaining the Autobots attention. "It hurts most right here, doctor." Starscream smirked gesturing to his wound.
"Arcee get yourself back to base, and tell others as well." Mirage called through the comlink, as Starscream gave Ratchet the space bridge coordinates.
"Ugh, you know I'm surprised that you haven't regained back that mutant mute yet!" Starscream hissed through pain as Ratchet repaired him.
"Like Optimus, Soundwave isn't of a sound mind. Whatever Shockwave has done to him, has seemed to have fully reverted Soundwave into his loyal Decepticon mind." Ratchet sighed stopping the seeker's energon leak.
"Oh please, he hadn't done anything special except create a false spark bond with him, making Megatron do the same!" Starscream scoffed rolling his optics.
"They fused a spark bond with Soundwave before Optimus had the chance to. Making mine and Optimus's, practically none existent to him..." Mirage thought aloud.
"Exactly, Shockwave's science has always been unexplainable. But he never ceases to impress." Starscream sneered as Ratchet unwillingly repaired him.
"Optimus is on that ship now Mirage, perhaps his bond will rekindle and overtake Megatron's. As I am sure his bond is strongest with Megatron's at the moment." Ratchet reassured the youngling.
"Soundwave even as a Decepticon, would refuse to have any sort of connection to that mad freak!" Mirage hissed.
Back at the missile silo the Autobots were gathered around the monitors.
"The space bridge is located deep within an energon mine."
"Adjacent to a raw fuel supply. Clever." Arcee thought aloud. "What's our intel?"
"A... reliable source." Ratchet replied glancing at Mirage.
Arcee narrowed her optics at the medic, wondering what Decepticon they shook down.
"Are you prepared Bumblebee, to go to Cybertron, to journey to Vector Sigma?" Ratchet turned to the yellow scout.
Bumblebee nodded nervously. "Yes."
"You won't be alone Bee. I'll be right with you the whole time." Mirage reassured his brother.
Bumblebee smiled back at his brother with a nod.
"We will have to plan our attack before just diving into this mission. We cannot allow any mistakes, or we may never have another chance." Ratchet told the team.
"The only one that tells the truth on this ship is Soundwave." The recording then fast forwarded to the next words about the young violet mech. "Soundwave was an Autobot..." Soundwave visibly jumped as his room door swished open.
Orion walked in seeing youngling was unmasked, staring at him blankly, almost in deep thought.
Orion Pax sat down on his own berth, keeping his gaze to the floor for a moment. "Soundwave... Starscream mentioned that you were an Autobot. Were you?" The mech looked over at the youngling across the room.
"I... I don't know..." Soundwave replied completely confused. "If I was, I don't remember."
"Starscream says our Lord speaks falsehoods to us." Orion continued to mention the conversation he had with the seeker commander. Unknowing that Soundwave was already completely aware of the conversation.
"He's not wrong, I hold a lot of those secrets for our Master. One of them being that he is deceiving you..." Soundwave replied trying to stop his words from escaping him.
"But why?" Orion Pax asked, hungry for answers.
Soundwave refused to answer anymore questions, as he had to deliver his findings to his father. Perhaps then he would receive answers. Materializing his visor over his face, Soundwave left Orion Pax alone in his quarters.
"What did you find?" Megatron asked as soon as he heard the door to the bridge open.
Soundwave walked up behind his father and played the security feed of Orion's interaction with Starscream.
"Lord Megatron says many things, only some of which are true."
"You... don't suggest that our leader would speak falsehoods?"
"The only one that tells the truth on this ship is Soundwave. That's if that stupid mute, youngling, is still on this ship. And that's if you can actually pry him to speak to you."
"Still on this ship? Why would Soundwave not be here?"
"You truly are being kept in the dark aren't you? Soundwave was an Autobot, with that psychotic brother of his."
"You speak in many riddles Starscream, please tell me what it is that you know."
Megatron's relaxed glare soon turned into a malice one. As now he did not only have to worry about keeping Orion's quizzical mind from wondering if he is a Decepticon. He now had to worry about his own inquisitive youngling, possibly betraying him, and putting project Iacon in jeopardy.
"Starscream tells many stories, many just rumours he starts, to ignite fires that did not need to be burned." Megatron hissed, pivoting to face his silent youngling.
There wasn't any part of Soundwave, that believed a word that came out of his father's mouth.
"It's best to keep this to yourself. And not bring it up with Orion." Megatron said to the violet young mech, turning back to face the massive observation monitors. "And replace any images of Optimus Prime in our records, with that dreaded tyrant, Ultra Magnus. Starscream surely spiked curiosity in Orion Pax, enough for him to research Optimus Prime."
Soundwave left the bridge, returning to his quarters, where the massive mech hadn't moved.
"Why did Starscream address me as Optimus Prime, and I didn't know you had a brother?"
Soundwave mentally groaned, dematerializing his visor, as he approached his own berth. He had his own questions that needed to be answered.
"My apologies youngling, you're probably exhausted." Orion Pax sighed gazing at the cold floor.
Soundwave snorted with a smile. "I'm no sparkling."
"That, you are certainly not, youngling." Orion Pax gave a soft chuckle.
"I have questions that need answers, and I have the answers you seek to yours." the violet young mech mentioned to the Prime
"And of your questions?" Orion Pax was curiously interested in Soundwave.
"I need your help answering them." Soundwave replied simply.
Orion Pax nodded in acknowledgment. "You will answer my questions in return?"
Soundwave shook his helm no. "Not exactly. In order for you to answer my questions, I need to answer yours first."
Orion nodded in understanding, staring at the floor, he didn't know where to start. "Who is Optimus Prime?"
Soundwave took a moment to reply, he knew whether he explained it or not, Orion would still be confused about who he was.
Materializing his visor, Soundwave approached the red and blue mech. "The Autobot leader..."
"I'm sorry?" Orion cocked his helm, staring at the Cybertronian script with an image displayed on Soundwave's visor.
"I reminded Starscream of him?" Orion cocked an optic ridge at the strange unrecognizable mech.
Soundwave was confused by Orion's response, didn't he recognize the mech was him? "Oh, scrap... wait a sec..." The youngling quickly remembered he replaced images of Optimus, with Ultra Magnus.
"But Lord Megatron said Ratchet was the leader of the Autobots?" Orion Pax thought aloud, not even hearing Soundwave speak. "Someone is not telling the truth."
"I know..." Soundwave turned off the display on his visor. "It's usually Starscream." The youngling snorted sitting on the berth next to the confused mech.
"Then who is lying?" Orion pressed on, he now wanted answers.
"Orion, we're Decepticons. Deception is our strongest trait, Lord Megatron being a master mind of deception..." Soundwave decoded all the encryptions he placed in the Decepticon database, revealing the image of Optimus Prime.
Orion Pax pushed off the berth in disbelief. "How could I possibly be Optimus Prime?!"
"How could I be an Autobot..." Soundwave muttered to himself, as Orion made his way towards the door.
"If you begin to research your alias, it will be tracked by to our data core."
Orion stopped before the door could open. "I will not hide my research from Megatron. We are brothers, and I want answers from him." The red and blue mech exited the room, going back to his station.
Soundwave snorted with a laugh. "Family doesn't matter to Megatron... You're not going to like the answers you receive..."
"We will ground bridge directly to the space bridge. We will be outnumbered surely, Mirage I need you to scramble signals, we cannot allow any of the Cons to hail the ship." Ratchet spoke to the Autobots.
"Understood." Mirage nodded.
"Why don't we just send mister invisible in to assassinate every con there?" Sunstreaker scoffed, knowing the youngling was very capable of securing the space bridge.
"Because it's a space bridge, the cons are going to be quite spread out. If we can hit them all at the same time, we don't risk as much." Arcee replied to the golden twin.
"Alright, fine. We've been planning this all night, can we just go now?" Sunstreaker groaned.
"We are just waiting for Agent Fowler to arrive." Ratchet mentioned.
"Ugh, for what? What's a tiny human going to do in the middle of a battle with Cons?" Ironhide retorted as the human lift activated.
"Agent Fowler is going to run operations, and assist us from the base if needed." Ratchet said as Agent Fowler settled himself at the human sized computers.
"Ready whenever you bots are." Agent Fowler gave a thumbs up.
Bridging into the mine was easy, so far it was clear of any Decepticons. Rounding the corner there were three Eradicons standing guard near a mining drill. Arcee leapt off the drill, striking down the one mech. Sideswipe grabbed the one next to the femme tossing it into his twin, who finished the Eradicon off.
"Command this is space bridge control, we are under attack, command do you read..."
Mirage stabbed his sword through the Eradicon soldier trying to desperately call for help, silencing the mech's pleas.
Moving down the lift, Ironhide crushed the Deception soldier guarding it below. Running off the lift, the team was met with the heavily guarded space bridge.
"By the Allspark." Ratchet gasped gazing at the fully functional space bridge.
"Thank you Starscream." Arcee smirked, getting a look from Mirage. "What, who else would it be?" She shrugged.
"Mirage get in there and start destroying some of those Cons, I've got an idea." Ratchet mentioned looking over at Ironhide.
Mirage obliged the command, activating his cloaking he quickly snuck into the middle of the bridge platform, and began terminating Eradicons.
Ironhide threw a nearby drill across the cave, crushing two unfortunate Decepticons. While the rest of the team charged in, easily destroying the rest of the Decepticon troopers.
In awe Ratchet walked up to the space bridge control panel. "A masterpiece of engineering."
"Operational?" Jazz asked standing next to the medic.
"Fully." Ratchet nodded checking the console.
"Perimeter secured." Sideswipe announced as they all gathered around the medic.
"Now the scary part." Arcee sighed.
"Mirage, shut down your scrambler, so we may contact base, and maintain communication for the remainder of the mission." Ratchet turned to the red youngling.
"It's off now." Mirage nodded, shutting off his scrambling device.
"Strike team to base, objective secured." Ratchet's voice came over the base speakers.
"Read you loud and clear Ratchet. Proceed with your next objective." Agent Fowler replied.
"You ready?" Mirage asked turning to his brother.
"Let's do this." Bumblebee nodded.
"You sure you don't want me to come with you two?" Arcee sighed worried for the two younglings.
"Locked on to Cybertron. We will keep the space bridge open, to eliminate any communication lag over the great distance, and make it easier for you two to locate when you're ready to return." Ratchet explained to the youngest Autobots.
"You need to stay here to guard the bridge Arcee. Just incase Megatron comes hunting for us." Mirage smiled reassuringly at the femme.
"Wait, easier to locate? Aren't you bridging us straight to Vector Sigma?" Bumblebee queried.
"Vector Sigma's true location is shrouded in myth and rumour. It is said that the path of the Primes leads you there. We must be confident that Optimus will guide you." Ratchet replied to the scout.
"Don't worry, you'll both find it. The most important thing is that you return safely." Arcee reassured the scout as Ratchet fired up the space bridge.
Bumblebee walked towards the large portal, with his technically younger brother in tow. Walking through the bridge, setting foot back on Cybertronian metal.
"Wow I can't believe we're back on Cybertron. I didn't think we'd ever see it again, huh Mirage?" Bumblebee excitedly said as they stopped to take in the sight. "Mirage?"
"This isn't how I wanted to return to our home..." Mirage replied looking out at the devastation of their dead, abandoned, planet.
"I'm sorry..." Bumblebee apologized, understanding his brother's devastation.
Mirage sighed looking to the ground. "In the fog of war, it's hard to see beyond the next leg of mission, or the next punch in the fight. We did everything to save Cybertron." Lifting his helm he kept his sad gaze ahead. "But when the fog finally lifted, there wasn't much left to save."
"Bumblebee, Mirage. Do you copy?" Ratchet took the younglings out of their depressed thoughts.
"Copy, we're on Cybertron." Mirage replied.
"Just keep the sight seeing to a minimum." Jazz scoffed jokingly.
"Indeed, we don't know if your journey ahead is five clicks or five thousand." Ratchet agreed with the grey mech.
"There's not much to see anyway..." Mirage replied, turning to his brother. "Let's go."
"So how are we supposed to know where to go?" Bumblebee complained waving the keycard in his servo, making it glow with cyan blue light when pointed a certain direction.
"First of all, stop waving the damn thing around!" Mirage hissed grabbing his brother's arm, slowly moving it towards the strongest point of where the card shone brightest. "There we go."
Both brother's transformed, speeding off in the direction the keycard directed them in.
"Ugh... this could be a while." Sideswipe groaned leaning lazily against his twin.
"Get off me!" Sunstreaker growled moving, making Sideswipe fall to the floor.
"Will you two quit fooling around!" Ratchet hissed as the nearby control panel beeped.
"Space bridge control, do you read me? Space bridge control this is Breakdown, your status report is overdue." Breakdown's voice played through the console speakers.
"Scrap..." Jazz cursed before clearing his throat to reply.
"Jazz, no. He'll recognize your voice." Ratchet stopped the mech from replying.
"I could make it lower, higher?" Jazz replied.
"Stop Jazz, you sound like a youngling transitioning into a young mech." Sunstreaker rolled his optics.
"He'll recognize your voice too Ratchet." Arcee mentioned ignoring the twins and Jazz.
"Come in space bridge control! Don't make me come down there and dent some tail pipes." Breakdown threatened.
"Somebody say something. Pronto!" Agent Fowler chimed in from the base.
"Agent Fowler patch yourself into the com system." Ratchet replied, knowing the Decepticons would not recognize Agent Fowler.
"Respond, or..."
"This is space bridge control, situation normal." Agent Fowler awkwardly replied.
"Normal, you sure about that?"
"We were just calibrating the subsystems and we, uh, had a surge. But it's fine now... how are you?" Agent Fowler continued to respond awkwardly.
"Aw Primus, he fucked it up..." Sunstreaker facepalmed.
"Uh, never better. I know it's thankless down there. Keep up the good work, huh." Breakdown replied casually.
"Will do, control out."
"That was close, what's you status Mirage?" Ratchet sighed calling the youngling.
"We're doing fine. Following the key, toward Kaon." Mirage replied unwillingly.
"Kaon, the Decepticon capital, greaaaate..." Ironhide groaned.
"Let's go on foot from here." Mirage said as he transformed.
"Why?" Bumblebee asked confused.
"We don't want to attract any unwanted attention, from whatever stayed upon this dead planet." Mirage replied with his weapons ready.
Bumblebee shrugged, moving the key around to find their next directions. "This way." He said as they walked across a bridge.
Mirage tilted his helm as his sensitive audio receptors picked up on metal quickly clanking below.
"We must be getting close." Bumblebee thought aloud, as the keycard shone more intensely.
Mirage didn't reply, following his brother while listening for any more suspicious sounds. Walking through an archway with a massive statue of Megatron, they walked towards a temple like building.
The ground began to quake and rattle as the keycard vividly glowed with an intense white light. The whole ground shifted, lowering them down to a door, that immediately activated the moment Bumblebee got near it.
Soundwave lifted his helm from the monitor he was working on, as his frame flashed a cyan blue. As he received an alert from Cybertron, that one of the Decepticon sentries had been activated. The Autobots must've found their space bridge, and were somehow looking for a resource to restore Orion's memories, he thought to himself, as he went to exit the bridge.
"Off to go disrupt Orion Pax at his work, I'll make sure to let your daddy know." Airachnid venomously said as Soundwave exited the room.
"I would like to disrupt your sparks functions..." Soundwave grumbled as he tracked down his father.
"Why is Vector Sigma here?" Bumblebee raised an optic ridge.
"From what Optimus and the others have told me, Kaon wasn't always the Decepticons. Megatron took it as a capital. Apparently, without ever lay beneath their feet." Mirage scoffed as growling came from above them.
Mirage looked up to see a massive Insecticon glaring down at them. It wasted no time leaping down at them. Mirage quickly pulled Bumblebee out of the way, as the bug landed.
Both younglings immediately opening fire on the insecticon. It snarled tackling Mirage into a pillar.
"Mirage!" Bumblebee cried out, drawing the cons attention, it shrieked the moment it saw the glowing keycard.
Bumblebee quickly turned and ran, as the insecticon gave chase.
Mirage pushed off from the ground, firing his rifle at the monster bug, drawing the attention away from Bumblebee.
"Ratchet, we're being attacked by some giant bug creature!" Bumblebee announced over the comlink.
"An insecticon!" Ratchet gasped.
Mirage was keeping the insecticon quite occupied from Bumblebee, as he dodged it aggressive attacks. "Bee go!"
"Seriously?!" Bumblebee replied standing hopelessly.
"Do it!" Mirage hissed as he continued to struggle against the Decepticon.
"The keycard will guide you Bumblebee, listen to Mirage. Optimus is counting on you!" Ratchet yelled over the comlink.
"Understood." Bumblebee unwillingly replied backing through the entrance to Vector Sigma, watching as Mirage was again tackled by Insecticon.
"Orion, have you made progress with project Iacon?" Megatron asked upon entering the clerk's work station.
"It seems I am a bit rustier than I thought." Orion Pax lied.
"Might that have anything to do with the nature of your after hours research?" Megatron replied sarcastically. "Did I fail to mention that we'd be tracking your activities." The warlord activated a nearby console, revealing Optimus Prime's records.
"Why does history portray me siding with the Autobot aggressors? And why did Starscream call me a Prime? I must know. Who am I?" Orion Pax pleaded to his brother, desperately wanting answers.
"You are my clerk. Now get back to work and decode that database." Megatron replied coldly.
Orion Pax stared at his brother in disbelief, turning to the monitor he shook his helm no. "No. I would rather erase my findings than make them available for your questionable use." Orion replied deleting his findings.
Megatron gave an unimpressed glare at his rebellious brother that began to walk away from him.
Orion halted, turning back to Megatron as his brother chuckled evilly at him. To his surprise Megatron reactivated the monitor, showing the Iacon files. "Did you really think that we wouldn't be tracking and documenting every iota of your invaluable research?" The warlord scoffed as Soundwave entered the room with Cybertron displayed on his visor, showing a sentry had been activated.
"One of our sentries was activated? On Cybertron?" Megatron thought aloud.
"You told me our planet was dead." Orion Pax continued to call out on Megatron's lies.
"That is beside the point, guards!" Megatron called drawing his sword. "You will finish project Iacon by the time I return, or I will carve out your spark before your very optics!" Megatron threatened his brother before exiting the room, as two Eradicons stood guard.
Soundwave stood quietly, emotionless, as Orion Pax collected his thoughts.
Orion stared at the youngling, dumbstruck, waiting for the youngling to say something to him.
"Soundwave!" Megatron yelled calling his youngling out of the room.
Soundwave visibly jumped at his father calling his name, giving one last glance at his Uncle, he hurried out of the room after his father.
Mirage continued to battle the insecticon, scaling a pillar to gain some distance from the ruthless con.
The insecticon transformed flying at the youngling, slamming the assassin hard against the wall. Mirage groaned in pain as he slowly rolled onto his abdomen, watching as the insecticon ripped the door off of Vector Sigma's entrance, storming in, in search of the scout.
"Frag!" Mirage cursed stumbling up to his peds, he tried to shake off his disoriented head as he stumbled towards the entrance.
"Mirage what's your status?" Arcee's voice came over the youngling's com.
Mirage exhaled, he didn't have the energy, or thought process to reply back to the femme.
"Mirage?"
Bumblebee strode down the dark, empty, corridor. Following the keycard's light. Not noticing the tiny scraplets following behind him on the walls.
"The activity log indicates my space bridge was set for Cybertron and remains open." Megatron said looking at Soundwave's visor displaying the space bridge activity. "The only possible reason the Autobots would take such a risk... would be to restore their precious Optimus Prime."
How was the question, Soundwave thought. But he knew Megatron cared not for the details of how, but for why.
"Open a bridge to the space bridge." Megatron ordered, clearly ready to kill some Autobots.
Bumblebee stopped as another door was presented in front of him. It to activated the moment it sensed the keycard. The scout walked out to the rounded platform with a design resembling the keycard. "Ratchet, at Vector Sigma."
"Thank Primus." Ratchet gave a sigh of relief.
"We're getting no response from Mirage Bee, whatever needs to be done, do it now." Arcee said to over the comlink.
Bumblebee walked to the center of the room, placing the keycard in its slot. The platform began to glow, and shift as it opened. Allowing a large brightly glowing cyan blue orb surrounded by orbiting rings, to rise from the depths and begin its downloading.
"Wow..." Bumblebee gasped as he watched the key slot pulsed with blue light. "Commencing download." Bumblebee reported to the team.
Mirage recovered quickly from his rattled processor. Remembering the insecticon was on the hunt for Bumblebee, he transformed speeding down the large corridors.
"No one told you to stop, Pax." one of the guards said as they stepped towards the rebellious mech.
Orion Pax turned around to face the two mechs. "I believe Megatron intends to use whatever he finds in project Iacon to harm the Autobots." He stepped towards one of the guards. "Please we can warn them."
The Eradicon guard punched Orion, slamming him down to the floor. "You continue your work, or face consequences."
Bumblebee sighed impatiently watching the download continue. "This is taking a while..."
"Of course it is. We are talking about the collective wisdom of the Primes." Ratchet scoffed over the comlink.
Hearing the whirring of many scraplets grinding razors Bumblebee spun around in a panic. "What!?" Bumblebee fired at the scraplets as they flew at him, most of them flew past him, latching themselves onto the key to Vector Sigma.
"What is it Bumblebee!?" Ratchet asked hearing Bumblebee struggling.
"Scraplets!" Bumblebee cried out as he shook whatever ones decided to attack him off.
"Why did it have to be scraplets?!" Sideswipe exclaimed nervously.
"If they chew through Vector Sigma before the Matrix reloads..." Ratchet was interrupted by a ground bridge.
"So, Vector Sigma is more than legend. You Autobots have gone to impressive lengths to recover your leader." Megatron said as he exited the bridge. "Be assured, I shall never underestimate you again. Now I assume Mirage will be stepping through that portal, with the reloaded Matrix Of Leadership in hand."
"We hold the spacebridge at all costs!" Ratchet said jumping in front of the open bridge.
The whole team began to engage the warlord in a desperate battle of power.
Mirage could hear the flapping of the insecticon echo down the hallway, as he drove faster.
Bumblebee continued to fire at the scraplets, trying to save Vector Sigma. While at the same time trying not to be eaten alive by them. The pulsing of the download began to slow and weaken as the scraplets feasted.
"No, no, no, don't quit now!" Bumblebee hissed as the sound of some sort of motor came roaring down the hall. "Mirage?" The scout was horrified to see the insecticon, instead of his brother.
The insecticon transformed landing in front of the scout, walking towards Bumblebee, ready to tear the youngling apart.
"Back off!" Bumblebee hissed aiming his blasters at the massive bug.
The insecticon was about to attack Bumblebee before seeing the scraplets feasting on Vector Sigma.
Mirage flew down the pathway locking sights on the insecticon. "Bumblebee move!" he transformed tackling the insecticon.
Bumblebee leapt off to the side just in time, as Mirage slammed the insecticon into the key holder. Shaking the scraplets onto the bug.
The insecticon shrilled, and shrieked as the horde of scraplets all flew onto him, eating him alive.
Mirage and Bumblebee both fired their weapons at the insecticon, causing it to stumble off the platform with the scraplets.
"Are you okay Mirage?" Bumblebee asked cycling his vents.
"Yes, are you?" Mirage snorted with a laugh, cycling his own vents.
"As long as this download successfully gets completed, I will be." Bumblebee replied as the download beeped at them, completing its download.
Mirage watched as the bright orb retreated into the floor, as the platform settled Bumblebee walked back out to the centre, retrieving the Matrix.
"We've got the Matrix." Mirage nodded proudly at his brother.
"Let's go." Bumblebee transformed following his brother out of the temple.
Orion yelped in pain as he was beaten by the two guards.
"You have to admit, it's a privilege to stomp the former leader of the Autobots." One of the guards scoffed to the other.
Orion Pax looked up at the monitors that still held the image of Optimus Prime. Before the Eradicons continued their abuse. "No, please... stop. Enough!" Orion snapped releasing his blasters to his surprise. "I... I'm armed?"
The Eradicons did the same, retracting their blasters, firing upon the Prime.
Orion tried shield himself from the blasts with his blasters, accidentally activating them, killing both guards in the process.
Orion was thankful his torture was over, but was not impressed with himself for murdering. He jumped to his peds defensively, as the door swished open.
"Found your weapons, huh?" Soundwave said as he calmly walked past the dead Eradicon soldiers.
"Soundwave please tell me who I am." Orion begged the violet youngling.
"You are Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. You lost your memories of being a Prime, when you released the Matrix Of Leadership into Unicron's spark. Your Autobots are battling Lord Megatron, they are trying to restore your memories as we speak." Soundwave found no reason to deceive the Prime any longer.
"I must help them, Megatron will surely use my research for evil. I cannot allow that to happen!" Orion Pax sternly said to the young mech.
Soundwave didn't reply with words, as he opened a ground bridge to Megatron's location.
"You're releasing me?" Orion Pax asked stepping towards the bridge.
Soundwave nodded. "Megatron will try to kill you either way. You stand more of a chance with your own team by your side."
Orion Pax nodded in understanding, walking to the bridge.
"Optimus..."
Orion turned to face his nephew, before entering the bridge.
"I answered your questions..." Soundwave looked away from his Uncle.
"I promise, I will answer yours when we meet again youngling of Primus..." Orion assured the youngling, before stepping into the bridge.
Soundwave watched as the bridge disappeared from sight along with the Prime. "If you see me again..." Soundwave knew once Optimus appeared into Megatron's line of sight, he wrote them both a death sentence.
Mirage and Bumblebee both sped up as they approached the space bridge.
"Ratchet we have the Matrix. We're coming through." Mirage said over the comlink, getting no reply. Mirage screeched to a halt, transforming, Bumblebee doing the same. "Ratchet?"
Bumblebee walked towards the bridge with his brother. Worried, knowing something wasn't right.
"Something's wrong." Mirage said, glaring suspiciously at the open portal.
"We can't not go through, right?" Bumblebee said staring at the green swirling portal. "We have to restore our dad's memories."
Mirage glanced over at Bumblebee with a sigh, before fixing his gaze back on the bridge.
Megatron had maliciously beaten down the entire team of Autobots, proving his gladiatorial skills were still firing on all cylinders. He stood at the open bridge, his sword drawn waiting for the assassin to come through the bridge. "Come, Mirage, so that I might end the lineage of the Primes, for all time."
"I cannot allow that to happen Megatron. Ending the lineage of Primes, would mean ending your own youngling's life."
"Soundwave..." Megatron hissed under breath, knowing Soundwave opened a ground bridge to his location. "And why should you care, Orion Pax? You are no Prime."
"That may be true... or yet another deception. But this much, I know. My sympathies lie with the Autobots." Orion strode forward drawing his swords. "And you are not one of us." Orion charged his brother.
Megatron easily countered the charge, punching his brother so hard, he lifted the mech fully off the ground. "Your spark might be in the right place, Orion." Megatron smashed the red and blue mech to the ground. "But you have much to learn before you can hope to ever again stand your ground against me. A moment, sadly, which shall never come." Megatron threatened, raising his sword.
Mirage's engine roared as he sped through the bridge, transforming in mid air, with great speed, he tackled Megatron so hard they both flew over the downed Prime. Igniting a whole new battle, between the warlord and youngling.
Orion was able to get up on one knee, hearing another bot coming through the bridge, he turned to see a yellow youngling bearing the Key to Vector Sigma. "Are you certain, I am worthy?"
"More than anyone I know." Bumblebee nodded in reply, holding up the key that lit up, activating a beam of cyan blue light directly into his father's empty Matrix.
Mirage fought Megatron furiously, giving the gladiator a worthy challenge as he spilt the tyrants blood across the ground. Jumping off a wall to strike his next blow.
Arcee lifted her helm, waking from being knocked unconscious by the warlord. Seeing the battle between Mirage and Megatron.
"How nice of you to rejoin our little reunion." Mirage yelped as Megatron caught him, slamming him into a small pillar. "Now if you please, the Matrix!" Megatron demanded the youngling hand over the downloaded Matrix. Looking out of the corner of his optic, he saw Bumblebee restoring Optimus's Matrix of Leadership.
In a fit of rage Megatron slammed Mirage onto the ground, before charging towards the father and son.
Arcee jumped to her peds charging Megatron from the side, which basically did nothing to slow down the tyrant, as he effortlessly batted her away.
Bumblebee released the key from his grasp, as it fully refilled the Matrix within the Prime.
Optimus gently took the card that floated into his grasp, quickly putting it away in his storage compartment.
"No!" Megatron screamed as he swung his sword down at Optimus.
Optimus Prime caught striking sword in his servos, before it could hit him. "Megatron... begone!" Optimus punched the warlord away from him, striking him continuously until he flew into the cave wall.
"Ratchet, how did we arrive here?" Optimus asked as the rest of the Autobots awoke, scrambling to his side.
"Long story, old friend." Ratchet replied as Agent Fowler called.
"Base to Mirage, I'm reading five Autobot life signals down there. Is Prime with you?" Fowler asked over the comlink.
"Yes Agent Fowler, send a bridge." Mirage replied, running over to the team, as Megatron climbed back up onto the platform.
Firing at Megatron Arcee looked over as a bridge opened next to the team. "It's ours!"
"Autobots, fall back!" Optimus ordered, the team happily obliged his command.
"This time he's coming with us, fragger!" Sunstreaker and Sideswipe taunted the charging tyrant, as they retreated through the bridge with the rest of the team.
Megatron began to fire as Optimus was the only one left firing at him, he halted as the Prime leapt into the portal disappearing out of sight. "SOUNDWAVE!" Megatron roared outraged at what had just happened.
The Autobots all excitedly chattered as Optimus walked into the base.
"It's so great you remember us now!" Jazz excitedly said to the Prime.
Optimus smiled, losing his smile as he examined the Decepticon insignia on his arm. "Although, it seems there is much I do not remember."
"Optimus, it has truly been our darkest hour, but know this. From every indication, your spark never ceased being that of an Autobot." Ratchet placed a reassuring servo on his friend's arm.
Optimus chuckled as Bumblebee eagerly hugged him tight. "We missed you!"
"I'm here now youngling, it won't happen again." Optimus sighed, returning the embrace.
Mirage wasn't much for celebrating, he was happy to have his father back, the team really suffered without him. But in the back of his mind he thought, why didn't they fight this hard to get Soundwave back? He was important to the team, and a Prime apprentice, that surely was just as important as restoring their leader's memories?
Soundwave internally yelped, and screamed, in agony. As his father beat him, until he was nearly offline. He tried to struggle, as he was dragged down the hallways, thrown into his room like a piece junk.
"You may have a lengthy recovery ahead of you, Soundwave. But remember the only reason you still function, is because you studied Optimus's decoding skills. I need you to complete project Iacon. That's an oder." Megatron threatened as he left his youngling, alone to suffer.
Lazerbeak crawled out from under Soundwave's berth with a croon, nuzzling his trembling Master.
Soundwave lay on the floor, bleeding heavily from almost every part of his frame. Before Megatron returned from the space bridge, Soundwave had released Lazerbeak in his room, knowing he would either be brutally beaten, or killed. He did not want his partner, and beloved pet to be harmed. "N...n... no... Lazerbeak..."
Soundwave hissed in immense pain, as he pushed himself into a sitting position. "It's... alright..." he placed a trembling servo on his surveillance drone.
Lazerbeak purred trying to transfer his energy into Soundwave.
Soundwave sighed getting up to his peds, he allowed Lazerbeak to fly up and reconnect to his torso. "Ah!" He yelped as Lazerbeak attached himself, not knowing how much pain his father had inflicted on him.
Lazerbeak clicked in concern as his master hissed in pain.
"I'm alright..." Soundwave took a deep breath, slowly walking out of his room.
"Lord Megatron I warn you, the more you use old techniques, the more Soundwave will run towards the Autobots." Shockwave warned his Master, as Megatron cleaned the youngling's energon off his servos.
"Why does it matter, you said that no matter what, the spark bond can't be broken!" Megatron hissed at the scientist.
"I underestimated Soundwave once again, he was able to completely annihilate my spark bond, and he has been doing the same with yours." Shockwave told the angered warlord. "I'm afraid having Orion around, possibly reawakened their bond.
"Soundwave's the only one that can finish decoding the Iacon database. Spark bond or not, he will complete his work, where Orion Pax had failed!" Megatron snarled at the purple mech.
"You sent Prime to the space bridge, ha, was it worth it?" Airachnid scoffed at the wounded violet young mech.
Soundwave ignored the creepy femme's taunting, as he limped past her, to the work station.
"Seems that under all your success, Lord Megatron still sees you as a disappointment." Airachnid continued to insult the young mech.
Soundwave was well aware of where he stood in his father's optics. Knowing that Megatron's threats were real, the only reason he was alive, was because Megatron needed him to decode the Iacon database. Releasing his tentacles, as the door shut behind him, he attached them to the consoles, beginning his decoding work.
"Fragging hell who's leaking everywhere?!" Knockout voice could be heard outside the door.
"That would be Soundwave. Megatron punished him for his disobedience, and for jeopardizing project Iacon." Airachnid mentioned to the concerned medic.
"Hmm..." Knockout was a little less concerned, as Soundwave was one to protest any medical attention. "Well he deserves it, he sent Orion Pax to Megatron, allowing the Autobots to restore their leader's memories." He scoffed in a snobby tone.
Soundwave looked over his shoulder, hearing Megatron walk into the room.
"Send me the first set of coordinates to the Iacon relics. We must begin our hunt, hopefully finding weapons to destroy the Autobots, and conquer Earth." Megatron said to his silent youngling.
Soundwave obliged sending the coordinates, and a ground bridge to the first location.
"Excellent, I need an excavation squad, rendezvous to my location, immediately." Megatron ordered, walking through the open bridge.
Soundwave sighed deeply, sending another bridge to an excavation squad. Resting his weight weakly against the console. "I shouldn't be here..."
