Thank you to the guest who reviewed on May 5th and to breannagabriel for favouriting and following this story!. And also, I know in the first chapter, I said that Bloom, Sky, Stella and Brandon have all the same classes, but it's actually that Bloom and Sky have the same ones and Stella and Brandon have the same. But, all 4 of them have some/most classes together.
Chapter 21-Revenge is a dish
{Stella's POV}
UGH. I woke up and I realized it was a Monday. Now I got to make an effort. Crying on the inside, dying on the outside. I threw on a tie-dye cropped Adidas t-shirt and let my hair out. I couldn't be bothered with cereal.
"SKY! Get your lazy ass down or I'll steal your car!" I shouted. Sky rushed out.
"Stella, not my car!" he said, glaring at me.
"Anyone would think you love your damn car more than me," I huffed
"Because it's true," he smirked while I stuck my tongue out. "Don't do that, you look horrible. Well, more horrible than usual," he remarked. That obviously earned him a slap upside the head.
"Drive boy, or else we'll be late for school and you'll see Bloom for 5 minutes less than usual today," He glared at me.
"May I remind you that I'm the one driving? I could easily just leave your sorry ass to walk,"
"You wouldn't dare,"
"Just try me Stell," Yeah, this girl ain't gonna walk.
"Fine, sorry" I sulked for the rest of the ride apart from screaming at Sky to stop at McDonald's for a breakfast burrito. What? I need my strength. Being me is very tiring.
We finally got to school and went to our form room. Worst luck, being in the same form room as my brother. But there are some things that you have no control over. I sat at my desk and waited for Bloom. Strange, she's usually here before me since she doesn't spend ages deciding her outfit. The bell rang and she and Brandon still hadn't shown up. When they finally showed up, Bloom looked on the brink of death, eyes half-closed and leaning on Brandon for support while her brother just looked slightly amused. He caught my eye and grinned and I smiled back. I signalled at Bloom and he just rolled his eyes.
"Ah, Mr and Ms Sparks, nice of you to finally show up," Professor Wizgiz joked
"Don't blame me sir, all him," Bloom mumbled sleepily, pointing to Brandon.
"I'm the one who had to drag you out of bed," he responded
"You're also the reason why I needed to be dragged, lover boy," she groaned. I blushed lightly when I realised what she was talking about. Brandon and I had been talking until at least 3am and that must've been why she couldn't sleep.
"It's not my fault you're single and lonely," she slapped him hard on the shoulder and he flicked her forehead. She stamped on his foot and he pinched her arm. It then evolved to be one of those childish sibling slap fights which we all just watched silently, finding it hilarious. It took Wizgiz a while to break it up because he was unable to speak without laughing and order was restored.
"If you two carry on like this, I'll see to it at that you're both sent back down to nursery. Really! You don't see Stella and Sky acting like this and they're twins just like you!"
"Yeah but Stella and Sky like each other. It's pretty much impossible to like him," Bloom cried, referring to Brandon
"Shut up Bloom,"
"You shut up," They finally settled down and we quickly took attendance. We got through our first classes without incident, and it was finally break (recess).
"Bloom, you're pretty much inhaling that coffee," Flora warned as Bloom chugged down yet another cup of coffee.
"I need it to help me through today. It's hard enough getting through double history on a normal day but with only 4 hours of sleep?" she shuddered and went off to buy another cup.
"What is that? Her seventh cup of coffee?" I asked
"Her eighth," Musa stated as Bloom returned and added in 3 packets of sugar.
"Seriously, the coffee limit for an adult is just 4 cups. You're gonna go hyper-mode," Tecna said as Bloom started jumping up and down in her seat from the caffeine. She chose to ignore us and by the time break had ended, she was definitely hyper. I wouldn't be surprised if her heart was vibrating. This girl I thought as I walked to my next class.
{Bloom's POV}
I practically jumped to History and sat down next to Sky. My foot was tapping of its own accord. Looks like the coffee was already working with its magic.
"Have you started the next part of the plan?" he asked
"Already done. You?" I answered
"She agreed, it'll happen at lunch," We shared an evil grin, mine slightly more manic than his, but keep in mind that I've had a whole Starbucks menu coffee section.
"Yay, that's so awesome. Isn't that awesome? I can't wait, can you? But are we sure that it will work? Because if it works then they'll be so embarrassed but if it doesn't then they'll just be really confused. I'm sure that my plan will work because it's already happening but have you made sure that everything is alright. Because Stella's one is simpler but harder and that must be really annoying so…..." I gabbled but was cut off when Sky clamped his hand over my mouth. I must have been ranting. He grinned at me.
"Alright how much sugar have you had?" he questioned
"I don't know, how much sugar is in 40 packets," his eyes widened.
"You mean those small packs you put in coffee or tea?" I nodded frantically. "Why would you have 40 packs of sugar?!"
"Well, I needed an extra boost with my coffees," I explained
"Coffees, plural? How many cups did you have?" I avoided his eyes
"Oh, just 12 cups," I said airily
"You absolute idiot," I stuck my tongue out at him. "You look stupid,"
"You are stupid,"
"Well played. Don't forget that we have that English essay to do today,"
"Oh, shit that's today? Fine, are we going to yours or mine?" I asked, jumping up and down in my seat.
"You look like a bunny on crack. It depends, which of our siblings will be less angry with us?"
"Come to mine then. Brandon doesn't hold grudges and anyway, we're just getting even with him,"
"Alright then," he agreed. Our conversation was cut short by the teacher finally showing up. The lesson went by normally. Apart from me finding it hard to sit still. Well, I somehow got through without a detention and then came lunch.
"BLOOM EVANGELINE SPARKS I AM GOING TO FUCKING MAIM YOU!" Screamed an angry voice across the lunch hall. I cringed because I knew that voice. And whenever that voice uses my middle name, I know I'm for it.
"Brandon Sparks I am truly appalled by your language," I grinned and tried to make light of the situation. The furious figure in front of me was pretty much breathing fire. Bye bye life.
"What is this?" He growled while thrusting a paper in my hand.
"Your baby pictures?" I answered timidly
"Please tell me why I found them in the hands of a Year 9?"
"Because he bought them from me?" Yes, this was my revenge. I sold some embarrassing photos of Brandon to the whole school. It made me rich and even. But seriously, Jesus, Mary, Allah, Shiva, whoever's up there, please help me.
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't decapitate you," he demanded
"Because I'm your favourite person in the world?" I suggested
"Yeah, no," he lunged at me and I dove sideways. I ran to the other side of the table. He was opposite me and mirroring my movements.
"Brandon, you can't be mad," I started
"Oh really? Why's that?"
"Because I was only getting even," I explained and he hesitated, realising that I knew that he was behind the other prank.
"This is way too extreme," he said
"My hair still smells like a caramel frappucino, extreme is fitting," I argued back. He narrowed his eyes and gave up.
"I'll let you go if you give me half of the money you got from selling those pictures," he negotiated. I considered it for a moment before handing it over. He counted the notes and let out a low whistle. "That's a lot of money. And it's only half?!"
"There are some crazy chicks at this school," I shrugged.
"Excuse me?!" Stella exclaimed at the thought of other girls with Brandon's photos. She looked very annoyed right now.
"Aw, Stellie's jelly! How adorable!" Sky smirked and ruffled her hair, messing it. She let out an unhuman-like growl and he stopped.
"Don't be mad Stell, I can give you the dipshit's photos for free." I grinned as her glare turned towards me. Oh Stella, that's not even the tip of the iceberg.
A while later, Stella's phone rang. Sky and I exchanged knowing looks.
"Hello?" Stella spoke without even checking the caller ID
"Hey Stell, how are you, sweetie?" A soft voice answered
"Mum! I'm fine, how are you?"
"I'm fine sweetie. I need to talk to you about something though," Stella's expression turned worried
"What's wrong. Are you alright?" She asked frantically
"It's nothing like that. Your brother told me that you have a boyfriend," her mother started
"Yeah..." Stella trailed off confused
"Is it really Brandon? That lovely boy you wanted to marry when you were little?" She questioned as Stella turned red. Oh lord, this is better than I hoped.
"Mum!" Stella cried while Brandon smirked.
"Oh don't be shy sweetie. Now, you guys are perfect for each other. Are you pregnant yet?" Mrs Ross asked excitedly. Stella and Brandon gaped
"Mum! I'm 16!"
"So?! I want some grandkids. I need to make sure they turn out better than you and your brothers" Oh sweet baby Jesus. I wiped a tear of laughter from my eye.
"You called to encourage me to get pregnant!" Stella said, mortified
"Maybe you're right. Let's wait until the wedding then. How does July 15th sound?"
"Mum, I'm not getting married anytime soon,"
"I better start planning, bye honey!" Her mum ignored her and then cut the call before Stella could protest.
"Your mum is awesome," I whispered to Sky who just nodded in response.
"So Stella, can we be bridesmaids?" joked Musa which sent us all on the floor laughing.
"Oh shut it Muse. I don't know why my mum is being like this,""Oh I can help with that," Sky piped up
"Yes?" Stella asked
"I may or may not have asked mum to phone you and say all that stuff," he admitted
"WHAT?!" She screamed in response "WHY?!"
"Revenge my dear sister, revenge," Sky said calmly. Stella was doing a lovely imatation of a volcano erupting at this point. Luckily enough, that was exactly when the bell rang and we scurried off to class.
Halfway through Social Studies, I was hit by a wave of tiredness. My mind just slowed and my eyes drooped. It was gone after a moment but a bit later, I was hit by another one. They just kept on coming with the beginnings of a very nasty headache. This was worse than a hangover. I just wanted to sleep. I managed to stay upright but I wasn't paying attention to anything. The fatigue was getting to me. It must have been the aftermath of so much sugar.
"Miss Sparks, please answer the question. Martha is depressed and an alcoholic, her father was an alcoholic as well as was her grandfather. What piece of advice would you give to Martha?"
"Get your shit together Martha. There's people that are dying," I said without thinking. The whole room laughed. "Did I say that out loud?" I said nervously as I saw the furious teacher in front of me.
"Detention young lady for not paying attention and use of foul language," she scolded and then returned to the front.
"Ah, shit." I said under my breath "Go home with Brandon. I'll just walk," I told Sky
"Nah it's alright. I'll wait for you,"
"Thanks," I muttered physically exhausted
"Anything my crackheaded bunny," he joked as I spent the rest of the lesson drifting in and out of sleep.
