The team pulled up to the scouted location, Avery was shaking with fear - she'd seen what Lottie's boyfriend could do. Obviously, Avery knew she'd have to stay in the car, but she was nervous to see Lottie, she hoped that he hadn't hurt her.

Erin couldn't stop her leg jumping up and down whilst she was driving, this situation was all to familiar...it was a reminder of her own past - she just hoped whatever things they'd made Lottie do weren't too bad. They parked the car and Erin reached back to kiss Avery's forehead. "You know the drill, keep hidden if people come out. Stay here no matter what." Erin said as she got out the car and ran over to the door of the den.

"Be careful Momma." Avery whispered to no one in particular as she watched her Mom and Jay run to the rest of the team. She got in to her usual position on the floor, so that if anything happened she'd be hidden. Her Mom had always told her to do that if she tagged along.

Voight prepared to breach the door, counting down to 3 before yelling. "CHICAGO PD!"

They smashed in the door and flooded in to the den, guns and flashlights poised for any surprises or traps. They cleared the hallways, before charging in to the main room, shocked at the scene in front of them.

Lottie was lying, completely out of it, sprawled out on the floor. The guys crowded round her, one of them holding her shoulders down as she tried to squirm out of their grasp, but the drugs were in full effect...she was terrified, she couldn't move properly due to the concoction of date-rape drugs they'd continually injected her with. The guys looked up, their eyes wide with shock from the sudden arrival of the Intelligence team. Scott drew his hidden knife and pressed it against Lottie's neck, who wasn't conscious enough to process what was going on.

"Drop your weapon!" Erin yelled. "Drop it or I swear to God I'll shoot."

Scott smiled, pressing the knife further in to Lottie's neck, beads of blood appearing. Erin moved and shot Scott in the leg, causing him to drop the knife and cry out in pain. The team restrained the rest of the crew, but Erin ran straight over to Lottie. The drugs were at their high in Lottie's system, she was trembling with fear, but she had no control over her body. She whimpered and let stray tears run down her face. Erin noticed the zip ties round her wrists, and the red raw skin underneath them. "Hey, Lottie. Babe it's just Erin." Erin said calmly.

"E-Erinnnn...?" Lottie slurred, her eyes unfocussed and fever bright.

"Yeah sweetheart. It's alright, we've got you." Erin said. "Can I untie you Lotts? It's just me okay."

Lottie whimpered a little, still too out of it to fully know what was going on. Erin cut her red raw wrists free with the cutters, before gently gathering the girl in her arms. Hailey came over slowly, approaching the two as you would approach an unfamiliar dog, afraid of startling Lottie and causing her to feel even more distressed than she already was.

"Hey Lottie." Hailey said softly approaching them, she turned to Erin. "Ambo's outside. Shall I get the medics in here?" she said quietly. Erin nodded, they'd need to check Lottie's blood, but other than that she didn't seem to have any life threatening injuries. Hailey radioed for the medics to come in, and on cue Gabby Dawson and Sylvie Brett walked in with the stretcher and their bags.

"Hey guys." Brett said calmly. In Paramedic school they taught you how to deal with date-rape drug victims, and although it rarely came in to use for Sylvie, she was glad to have that training at times like this. "Hey there Lottie, my name is Sylvie, this is Gabby. We just want to check you out and then maybe get you to Med for a few tests, alright?" Brett said, not sure if Lottie would be able to understand what was happening.

Lottie was hanging on to the last string on consciousness, the only thing the drugs allowed her to do was breathe and whimper, her movement completely restricted. She just let the tears fall down her face, burying her head as much as possible in to Erin's arm, who was holding the girl, willing her to feel safe. "Lotts, they're just gonna hook you up to a few things to check you're doing okay, and then we'll get you to Med." Erin said softly. "It's alright I'll be here the whole time." Erin turned to Hailey. "Can you go get Aves from the car?"

Hailey nodded and headed out to get Avery passing the rest of the team. She approached the car and saw Avery sitting on the floor, mindlessly scrolling on her phone. She opened the door, causing Avery to flinch and stiffen. She relaxed when she saw Hailey. "Aves, cmon we got Lottie. Your Mom sent me to come get you." Hailey said, helping Avery off the floor. They ran back to the scene and Avery stopped short when got there.

She saw Lottie, half conscious in Erin's arms, mascara trails down her face, the paramedics hooking her up to a heart monitor and blood pressure cuff. Avery saw her Mom gently reassuring Lottie, her hand resting on the top of Lottie's forehead. Avery slowly walked over, Hailey had reminded her on the way that she had to be calm around Lottie, because the drugs they'd injected her best friend with made her immobile, but still slightly aware, and that she was very scared and upset.

Erin looked up to see Avery and beckoned her over. "Hey Lotts, Aves is here." Erin said. Avery stepped forward and gently slipped her hand in to Lottie's limp, cold and shaking one.

They loaded Lottie on to the stretcher and wheeled her out to the ambo. By this point, Lottie was completely unconscious, exhaustion and the drugs winning over. Avery and Erin got in to the ambo with her, and they drove off to Med, Avery's hand still in Lottie's.
