The weekend out on the boat had been a fun escape. Life seemed so was and normal for the weekend. He had truly enjoyed it and the time with her. He was thinking maybe there could be something between the two of them.

Now it was Monday an hour before lunch.

"Hey, what do you want for lunch today?" Kelly asks

"My god! Why do I always have to play the dumb one! Seriously, I have a PhD in Chemistry and you barely know glue from dinner!" She is ranting again.

*Grumble* Kelly buries his head in his hands

"I swear they made this whole dumb bimbo cover identity because they hate me! And you! You just want me to smile and go along with it!" Now she's turned on him again

"Seriously, it's our cover! We have to go along with it! I have to smile and go along with it too." He doesn't feel like arguing.

"Yeah, but you get to be the smart one and people listen to because you're a man! That's so misogynist! I worked hard to get where I am and I have to play dumb because I'm a woman!" She's still ranting "And you like it! Why can't I be the smart PhD Chemist Glue sales engineer and you be my arm candy male stripper husband?"

"I like not having to fight with you constantly about doing what we are assigned! Seriously, cover identities work because they seem normal and unremarkable. There can't really be anything special about the people. This world isn't particularly progressive, so nobody remembers stuff like a boring glue salesman and his regular wife." He's still trying not to argue.

"And now you want to kill me again? Right? And you like Melissa better than me too! You think I don't know that?" She's turned on him again

"Christ! Not again!" He knows killing her and reviving her makes things ten times worse every single time. "I like Melissa because she doesn't fight me over every single thing!"

"Well, I hate that bimbo!" She is stomping around now

A salt shaker flies off the counter at him and he catches it. "Stop!" He has a stern look but it's too late. Spice jars fly out of the cupboard at him. He catches them and puts them on the table. "Do you really want to do this?"

"I hate Melissa! I hate this stupid cover identity! I hate everything about this fake life, and I hate you!" She pours the knives out of the knife block at him. He ducks as they flash by his head. He grabs a large kitchen knife out of the air as a steak knife slices his arm and in a flash he has it on her neck.

"Stop!" he hisses.

Something is wrong and she's terrified. Her eyes are white with fear and she's reaching one hand on the counter for anything she can grab and swing. Cups and plates go whizzing by but nothing comes close to him. She's trying to use her powers against him but she somehow can't connect. She swings the coffee pot at him but it goes wide and hits the cupboards.

She wogues into Witch mode and suddenly finds herself alone in the room. She starts to relax thinking maybe he's left but suddenly hears something very close to her.

He's angry "I told you to stop! You aren't going to go on and on like this! Not with me!"

She slices her black jagged nails wildly but doesn't connect with anything.

"Fine!" and he slams a left hand into the witches ear. The witch drops like a stone and he stomps out.

She wakes up an hour later. Her eyes are pretty fuzzy and she has a splitting headache. She looks around and the kitchen is a mess. The coffee pot and half their dishes are broken. There's broken glasses and plates scattered all over the place. There are blood droplets on her shirt, the floor, and a bloody handprint on the bathroom door. There are bloody towels and a half-empty bottle of superglue on the sink.

She hears a buzzing down the hall so she goes to see. It's her phone. 13 missed calls and a few texts. It's Eve. She answers. "Hey Eve!"

"Hey, Where's Kelly, I can't get him." Eve replies

Julie is hoping this will get her out of it "He left again. We sort of got into a fight."

Eve replies flatly "Oh, I thought you guys might be doing something fun before he heads back to Afghanistan. Anyway, you need to pack your stuff. It's time to head out. You need to be at the airport in two hours. Your E-ticket is on your phone."

Julie is surprised "Huh?"

Eve is serious "You're meeting up with a team in Munich. You will need your Renatta Ochoa papers. Be at the airport with your passport and stuff in two hours. We'll forward your team contact info so you can meet them at the hotel."

"Renatta Ochoa?" she is confused

"Seriously? Come on Julie! You really don't pay attention to anything do you? Just go get it and review your bio on the way to the airport."

"What was that about Kelly?" Julie asks

"His unit's been deployed back to Afghanistan." Eve replies

She goes to the closet and rummages around in her brown lock box. There are two dozen passports, big stacks of a dozen different foreign currencies, visa paperwork, and a whole stack of manilla envelopes with names written on them.

While looking in there she notices Kelly's stuff is already gone.

She finds a Manilla envelope marked "Renatta Ochoa".
Peruvian National working for Roche Pharmaceuticals. PhD Research Chemist on a clinical trials team. Engaged to a construction company project manager named Billy Curtin. She looks at the picture of her fiancee and it's somebody else's face. She smiles.

"Well good riddance Melissa and good riddance Kelly!" she smirks with a huge smile. She slides her wedding band off, dumps it into the box, and smiles.

She looks at her phone. She's flying to Munich Germany. There are tickets and information about a Pharmaceuticals trade show there in Munich.

She quickly packs a bag of business suits and attractive shoes and heads out to the airport.

...

Kelly got the notice about heading back to his unit and deploying to Afghanistan. It was bittersweet. He ran out to see Alice one last time before he got on the plane. He always missed her when he was overseas. He was glad to be back with his guys and he was glad to be rid of Julie.

He was on the airplane heading back towards the Middle East and he had time to think. He officially hated dealing with Hexenbiests. It was always the same with them. They're crazy as the day was long. The world has way too many Hexenbiests in it and they have gotten way too comfortable being able to manipulate and abuse everybody whenever they wanted to.
