*** Kara's narrative (voice-over) ***
Jealousy is a very awful feeling. I never really felt it till I meet you. Till you became my entire world, and, now I can't stop feeling jealous when someone else is getting close to you... even if that 'someone' is our kid...
"Aaaa... aba, ba, aaa..." The baby Karolina is cooing for the first time and there's nothing more adorable than hearing her first sounds. Maybe that's why Lena looks at the baby with nothing more than adoration. Yeah, the sharp, scary Lena Luthor is defenseless in front of little Karolina. The cute baby has the charm of her blonde mother, it's a complete sunshine, and, Lena can't stop staring at Karolina and her adorable smile. Maybe that's why Lena has been putting attention just to the baby for the last 2 hours...
The dear CEO is mesmerized by the baby, by that big smile she has, by that perfect nose, she has, by those beautiful blue eyes... so many things are wonderfully beautiful in Karolina that Lena can't stop staring at the baby and taking pictures... maybe too much for someone else's taste...
"Lee... I'm here too, you know...?" Lena chuckles when her dear wife pouts with jealousy. It's so cute how Kara claims a little of attention for her too...
"Darling, we have talked about this. You shouldn't feel jealous when I'm with the kids..."
"But, you spend more time with them than with me..." Kara pouts again, she loves to see Lena with their kids, but, she wants Lena to put attention to her too! After all, she's the one who brought the kids into the world. So, she deserves Lena's attention more than anyone else, right?
"Ooops. I already saturated my phone... darling, can you brought me your phone so I can continue taking pictures of our sweet Karolina?" Kara rolls her eyes and walks towards her purse so she can give her phone to Lena. Seriously, who saturates the memory of its phone with pictures of their kids? Just Lena, and against that, Kara can't compete... she can't compete against the cute baby who has monopolized Lena's attention all day long...
""Who's the most adorable thing in the entire world, heh?" Lena speaks to the baby, and, baby Karolina is cooing, like if she was replying to her dear mother, with a big smile. Lena hugs the baby with so much affection, she rubs their cheeks against each other, as she can't handle the cuteness of the baby...
"Yes! You're the most adorable thing in the entire world, my dear baby! Your charm is the sole mystery I will never solve, even in a lifetime of research..." The baby seems happy with all the affection, but, someone else is getting really jealous...
"Lee, you love the baby more than me!" Kara pouts again, making a big fuss about it, like a little kid when she handles the phone to Lena...
"Oh darling, I... I'm the wallpaper on your phone?" The CEO is not sure how to say, she loves her wife but she loves her kids more than anything in this world too...
It seems that lately, she's more focus on being a mother than a wife. And, looking at the sad pout of the blonde, she feels bad about it. At this point, Lena wants to say 'darling, I'm all yours', but, she's not so sure about it. After all, she's a doting mother, and, her adoration for her kids is just increasing with the time. So, what should she say to Kara now...?
"I... I... I'm just checking what trigger Karolina's glowing, darling. Yeah, I'm just collecting data..."
Kara is not sure if she should believe a word of what Lena is saying. But, thinking about it, maybe that could explain why Lena records Karolina's cooing every day. Now, if you put it in perspective, if Lena is trying to figure out why Karolina is glowing. Then why she has also collected data from the other kids?
Lena has collected lots of data over the years about their kids. Records of their 1st sounds, an infinity of pictures and videos of them, Lena even keeps in a safe box their first little shoes and all kinds of things. It's like if she was getting ready to make a museum about her kids. So, no. This is not about collecting data, this is about Lena being a doting mother...
"You know, it's a little creepy to realize the doting parent you're becoming..."
"I'm not creepy. I'm just closely following the growth of our kids ..." Lena says when she holds the baby in her arms, and softly kisses her little cheek. The baby girl smiles and leans forwards, softly, hugging Lena's head. And, melting the heart of the dear CEO even more. Kara keeps talking, but, Lena has just ears and eyes for baby Karolina. And, The blonde rolls her eyes,, she's not surprised about it...
"Uhmmm... I really want lots of kids. But, I wasn't ready to see Lena like this..." Kara pouts, she loves her wife, but, she wasn't expecting Lena to be a such doting mother, and to be honest, if she wants Lena's attention for today, Kara will have to wait now that the other kids are waking up from their nap because the first thing that Clarke and the twins do when they wake up, it's to look for Lena's attention too...
"Mommy! Mommy! UP!" Lena chuckles when she has the other 3 kids around her, hands up, jumping, smiling, asking to be held. And, Lena smiles because they are just so cute, extremely cute wearing their super pajamas...
"You're quite popular, with our kids..." Kara says with a pout when she sees how their kids are around the CEO. Lena chuckles, really, it's adorable to see Kara pouting and getting jealous of their own kids...
"Darling, don't act like a kid too..." Kara huffs and Lena wants to tell Kara that she has no reasons to be jealous. But, before she could say a word, the kids drag her to play with them. And, just like that the entire day of Lena is dealing with a bunch of kids who just want her attention to themselves...
At the end of the day, Lena feels a little bad about how she's spending more time with the kids than Kara. And, maybe that's why she decides to request someone's help to fix it...
(Another day, at L-Corp)
"Well, like you can see, my sweet Karolina has gotten more beautiful since the last time you saw her..." Alex nods, she frowns with a complex facial expression because she's a little astonished to see all the pictures that Lena has taken in just a few days. For Alex, some pictures seem the same, but, for Lena. Each picture is different, and precious because...
"She's like an angel that has descended upon Earth, right? RIGHT?!" Alex nods non-stop because she's more scared of how Lena would react if she doesn't share her point of view about how cute is her kid. The dear DEO agent recalls how scary Lena looked the time when she cut her off when Lena was talking about the 1st steps of the twins. If looks could kill, Alex would be dead by now...
The CEO keeps talking, about the first cooing of Karolina, about all the pictures she took when the baby smiles. And, at this point Alex realizes that if she doesn't do something to stop Lena's rambling about the baby, she will end spending her entire day here...
"Lena. Don't take this the wrong way, but, did you really just contact me to tell me how cute are your kids?! I mean, the story of the cooing and how cute it's.. I've heard that story about 50 times now... If you're just going to talk to me about that, then, I'm sorry. But, I should leave now..."
Alex starts walking towards the door. She had enough of Lena gushing over her new baby girl. Trolling to others about her kids has become a habit for Lena. Something she can't control. But...
"Alex! Wait, do not leave! I... I need your help with something..."
The big sister of Kara stays to hear out Lena. She accepts to help under the condition that Lena will try to control her trolling about her kids. It's a bad habit, Alex says. But, she's no one to judge since she's not so different than Lena...
(At CatCo)
"OMG, James! The photo shoot you did of Lexa is beautiful! Look how cute she looks in here, and, here, and here..." Alex grabs another photo and, says "Here too..." She hugs all the pictures of her dear kid and, happily says "OMG! She's so damn cute! She's like a little angel, right...?"
"A very scary angel..." James mumbles because he recalls how lethal little Lexa is. The little kid kicked his ass when he was training at the DEO as guardian and, if he's scared of Lexa, he should be more scared of the mama bear she has...
"What did you just say about my kid?" Alex says with a serious voice and a killer look. Hands on her weapon, ready to shoot anyone who doesn't see how cute is her little Lexa, and, James gulps hard scared. He has no idea of what to do but, thankfully someone else steps in, to his rescue...
"You must excuse my brother. He's not good with kids..." James looks happy when his sister arrives. And, he's not the only one smiling. For some reason, Alex smiles too...
"Hi, I'm Kelly..."
"Alex Danvers..." The brown woman smiles when they shake hands, and, Alex feels something when their eyes meet. Alex is right now a mother at full time, a full time doting mother, even if she will never recognize the fact that she gush about Lexa just as much as Lena does it about her kids. But, leaving at the side that, Alex is also a great woman who deserves love in her life... a partner at her side... and, she might just find it now...
*** Kelly's narrative (voice-over)***
I finally found it... the place where I belong... somewhere, something, someone I only can protect... a precious treasure I just want to protect and love...
(Some days later, at Alex's place)
"Alex. Are you sure you can deal with the kids for the entire weekend...? I mean, they exceed you in numbers..." Lena knows she put Alex under such predicament when she requested her help so she and Kara could have time alone. But, now that she sees all her kids, jumping, running, flying around. She's afraid she made a mistake...
"C'mon. Luthor. Give me a little of credit okay? I'm the DEO director after all. I know how to manage a group of people..."
"Yeah, but, leading a group of agents, it's not the same than deal with our kids, Alex. They have lots of energy... they got that from me..." Kara says as she chuckles. The kids really like to play and goofy around.
And yes, it will be a challenge to deal with the super kids, but, Alex is sure she can handle it, especially because she has a great second commander to help her...
"Down! Down! No flying on the house!" Lexa says to the kids. She commands them to behave and, Clarke nods, feeling a blush on her cheeks as she sees the authoritarian figure of Lexa, giving orders. It's thrilling to see Lexa giving orders, that's what Clarke thinks. And, when Lexa starts to give more orders, the little blonde can't control herself anymore, and, she just jumps over Lexa, filling her with kisses...
"Stop it, stop it!" Lexa says between all the kisses of Clarke. She may be older than the blonde, but, she's as defenseless as ever in front of Clarke. The blonde is all over Lexa, and, she's pretty sure that she could easily take Lexa at any time. And, she will... someday...
"Mwah!" Clarke has no intention to stop kissing Lexa's face. And, her little siblings, Alec & Lizzy watch her and join her. Thinking it's a game. Now, all the kids, except of baby Karolina, are all over Lexa, filling her with kisses...
"Stop it! stop it!" Lexa says, as her face gets red, red like a tomato for all the blushing. But, the kids don't stop kissing her or hugging her, they just chuckle and keep going because it's priceless to see Lexa's reaction to such affection...
"Your daughter is quite popular with my kids, Alex..." Kara says and, Alex chuckle. Both Danvers sisters seem amused by the scene while Lena groans, not looking happy about it. Especially because the baby Karolina stretches her little arms too, towards little Lexa, like if she wanted to join the crowd of kids which is over Lexa...
"Mhmmm... I don't like this..." Lena mumbles with a pout, she's getting jealous of all the attention that Lexa is receiving from her kids. And, Kara just chuckles, because she finds it cute, really cute how the doting mother wants the kids all to herself...
It's not Lena's fault that she feels like this. After all, looking back at her lonely days where she had nothing more waiting for her at home than a whisky. Lena's present days are so much different than back then. Her home is full of love, full of voices and happy moments. And, it might sound selfish, but, she doesn't want to share her source of joy with no one...
"This is a bad idea, maybe we should..."
"Oh, no, no, no. Lee. You promised me a romantic weekend alone and that's what we're gonna do..." Kara cuts her off and takes baby Karolina from Lena's arms so she can put the baby in Alex's arms. The CEO pouts, but, she gets no other choice but to leave her kids with Alex and Lexa...
"They don't even look sad that we're leaving them alone..." Lena pouts, Clarke was more focused on Lexa than saying her good-byes. Kara chuckles, and, drags Lena with her, before the CEO changes her mind again and try to stay around to stalk their kids...
"Let's go! Alex, if you need anything! Call mom! Not me, okay?!" Alex chuckles, she doesn't think she will need help. After all, Kelly will arrive any second. And, even if the dear woman is a new person in her life, Alex is sure that she will able to handle a bunch of kids with the help of Kelly Olsen...
"Have a nice weekend. See you on Sunday... and, Lena..." Alex gets closer to the CEO and whispers into her ear "Try not to knock up my little sis again, okay?" The CEO blushes under the thought of it. It's true that they have lots of kids. And, that they just got Karolina, but, the idea of seeing Kara pregnant again, it's too damn lovely that Lena can't promise she will not try to make another baby again...
(At the Kent's farm)
"This is nice!" Kara happily says as she opens her arms and looks at the bright sunshine above them. When Lena proposed her to spend the weekend without kids. Just the two of them, Kara was so thrilled with the idea that she asked Clark's permission to use the farm for their little getaway because the reporter wanted them to be away from the world. She wanted Lena all to herself, at least for the next couples of hours. And, she was sure she would get what she wanted but...
"Darling, I don't have bars on my phone!" The CEO is over the point to freak out because she has the tendency to rely on he phone for everything. She's pure IT, so, when you put her in a place without any technology, you get her out of her comfort zone...
"It's gonna be okay, Lee. Relax, we..." Lena ignores Kara for a second. She's waving her phone around, trying to get any bar. And, Kara sighs as she sees Lena, more worried to have connexion, so she can check on the kids, than to spend quality time with her. The blonde leaves Lena alone in the house and goes for a walk around the farm, it's during this walk when two men appear in front of the blonde, in a flash...
"Oliver? Barry? What are you doing here...?"
And, while Kara is dealing with an unexpected visit from another Earth. Inside the Kent's house...
"C'mon, Luthor! Stop worrying about your kids! They are fine!" Lena turns down her phone, she scolds herself for her attitude towards Kara. This weekend was supposed to be a romantic getaway, and, she's messing it up! Hearing steps approaching, Lena starts to take off her clothes to welcome her wife, but, when the blonde gets back, she's not alone, she has company...
"OMG! Kara! You're not alone?!" The dear CEO tries to cover her exposed chest, but, it's too late, the superheroes have already seen too much skin. And, Kara quickly covers the eyes of Barry and Oliver because...
"Stop looking at my naked wife!"
The weekend didn't go as expected. The arrow and the Flash changed bodies for a reason they need to figure out. And, because Kara is such good friends, she feels compelled to help them to deal with just another crisis...
"Lee, can I go? Please? Pretty please?" The blonde is begging like a little kid who wants to go out and play with her friends. Lena deeply exhales, she's fully dressed now, and, she tries to avoid eye-contact with the unexpected guests. Oliver and Barry are also blushing. They feel bad for interrupting their lives like this, but, it's a crisis in the arrowuniverse, and, they need Kara, to fix this...
"Lee...?" Lena rolls her eyes when she sees the puppy's pout of her dear wife. And, that's why...
"Fine. You can go... but, I'm going to make you something to eat. Last time you went to face a crisis, you barely ate anything back then, and, you know how cranky you get when you don't eat enough..."
"What? I don't get cranky..." Lena chuckles when she sees how Kara pouts under such accusation.
"Let me prepare you a lunch to take away..." Lena says as she softly puts a kiss over Kara's cheek and walks towards the kitchen to prepare something. The blonde was pouting till she smell the food...
"That smells really good. Can I've one too?" Barry says, because just like Kara, he's a food lover. Oliver just rolls his eyes, but, his new anatomy reveals too, that he's hungry, so, in the end, Lena ends doing a big lunch for the dear heroes. And, just like that, they leave for their journey where they will face the monitor and find new friends too...
"Be safe, darling..." Lena mumbles when she sees them leave this Earth. She feels scared, but, also a little jealous that the world will always become first for Kara. The blonde can't ignore her calling to save the universe... even if that might cost her world one day...
*** Lena's narrative (voice-over) ***
A little jealousy in a relationship is healthy. It means you care, it means you know you've something to lose if you don't take care of the other person. But, it also can get messy... especially when someone else appears into your world...
Back at the house, after the crisis, Kara was telling Lena all her adventures with the super friends while the dear CEO was making dinner. Lena is a very good listener, but, she's getting a little annoying because the blonde can't stop talking about...
"Batwoman, Lee! She's super cool! I mean, you should have seen Kate! She..."
Kate Wayne, the new hero on the team, it seems. And, Lena forced a smile on her lips, trying to look happy about the new friend that Kara made, but, she's not happy at all because...
(Another day at L-Corp)
"A hot badass! That's how Kara defines this Kate Wayne!" Lena huffs, angrily as she throws her tired body over the sofa of her office. She's lost on her thought till the person with whom she's talking, catches her attention and, Lena stares at the Ipad again, because she's making a video call with...
"Sam, what I'm supposed to do?!" The dear CFO who's managing the unit in Metropolis just chuckles. Sam doesn't see why Lena is making such big deal about it, but, she sees no harm on teasing the CEO a little more...
"I get why you're worried. I mean, This Kate seems to be completely Kara's type: badass, rich brat with family issues. I mean, you're in troubles, my friend..."
"You're not helpful..." Lena groans, and, Sam laughs. They keep talking about life and work. Even if Sam decided to move away, she and Lena are still close, closer than ever because Sam doesn't mind hearing Lena, gushing over her kids. Mostly because when Lena talks about her kids, Sam gets to have news too about Lexa and...
"Alex is seeing someone new...?" Lena gasps when she realizes of her indiscreet comment. When she started to talk about how Alex and Kelly were able to handle the kids and even make them eat green things. The CEO wasn't aware that Sam would get the hint that Kelly was a new addition to the gang...
"I... I'm sorry, Sam. I..."
"You don't need to apologize... It's... it's good for Alex, I guess..."
There's an awkward moment for a brief moment till Sam asks more detail about this Kelly...
"Sam, please. Don't go there..." Lena is smart enough to know that finding out about the new partner of your Ex, it's not healthy neither good for the other person. So, she really tries to not lead her friend towards any more pain but...
"Please, Lena. Just tell me at least one thing: does she make her happy?"
"Yes, she does..." Sam nods, she sadly chuckles. It's a mix of sadness and joy because, yeah, she's happy that someone else is smart enough to appreciate the amazing person that Alex is. But, she's also sad to realize that she's not that person because she left... she left her...
"Let's talk about the financial reports..." The CEO tries to change the topic of the conversation. And, Sam nods, following the lead and engaging a more formal conversation in which they talk just about work. But, while her mouth is talking about numbers and percentages, her mind is just thinking about...
(At the DEO)
"Alex!"
"Hi Brainly!"
"Alex! So glad you're back!" He looks very happy to see her again, Alex chuckles under such warming welcome from Brainly because he's not good with expressing emotions but, he's really making an effort...
The DEO Agent took a long time off after the incidents where her dear kid got hurt. She even considered on quitting the job. But, after lots of thinking and talking with her new girlfriend and therapist, Alex decided to keep working at the DEO. After all, who better to watch over the aliens than her.
The President is trying his best on putting in motion new politics to deal with the aliens. And, Alex is here to make sure that such new procedures will not be cruel or unjust. She's catching up with lots of things when Supergirl lands with a new guest...
"Supergirl, who's she...?"
"Well, she's..."
"Batwoman. Nice to meet you..." Kate stretches her arm and shakes hand with Alex. The DEO nods, impressed by the strong grip. And, everyone around seems happy to get the chance to meet with another hero... everyone... except of...
(At L-Corp)
"What the fu...?!" Lena says in shock as she reads the tabloids...
'Friends or lovers?' is the tittle of the article that shows a photo of Supergirl happily hugging a woman in a black suit. The CEO has no idea of who this person is, but looking at the woman, she has a hunch that she's the 'famous' Batwoman that Kara doesn't stop talking about. Lena knows it's a friendly hug that the press got out of proportions, but, nevertheless, she's feeling jealous... really jealous...
