Draco's Point of View

"Can you believe that Durmstrang guy winked at Misty?" I scoffed for about the millionth time. It's Monday morning, and there's classes today. Ever since Durmstrang and Beaxbaton came, I couldn't stop thinking about Misty, though I have no idea why. It's not like I like her.

"Why do you even care if someone wink at her?" Alex chuckled as both of us made our way to our first period, which is Defense Against the Dark Arts. "You haven't stop ranting about her since last night!"

I tried to think of a reason of why I 'care', but I realized I don't have any. I just get a sick feeling every time a guy flirts with Misty.. "Maybe because it's weird when boys wink at a girl like her? I mean look at her, she's as bad as Granger." Lie. Total lie.

"Or maybe you just secretly fancy her." Blaise snickered before sitting down on his seat. I haven't realized we were already inside the classroom. I took my seat next to Alex. On our right is the table of Misty, sitting with Seamus Finnigan. They were smiling and laughing at each other, it was sickening.

I heard someone cleared their throat, making everyone look at the front, and there was our new teacher, Alastor Moody. I heard he was an ex auror, putting people in Azkaban for crimes. "My name is Alastor Moody. Ex Auror, Ministry Malcontent, and your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher."

"What's up with his eye?" Alex whispered, and I shrugged in response, not wanting to get on Moody's bad side. He looked a bit scary in my opinion.

Professor Moody went to turn around and write his name in the board. I saw Finnigan putting his chewed gum under his desk. "You will have to put your gum somewhere else Mr. Finnigan!" Moody screamed.

The idiotic Half blood responded with something I couldn't really understand, due to his Irish accent, but suddenly, the chalk that Moody was using was thrown out and hit Finnigan in the face, causing Misty to crack up laughing.
I couldn't help but smile slightly at how cute her laugh is an-... I don't fancy her. I keep reminding myself, but I don't think it's working...

"Today we will be learning about the Three Unforgivable Curses." Moody started, scanning everyone in the room. He stood in front of Weasley and Potter's table. "Weasley, give me one curse."

Weasley turned pink and stood up while stuttering, "W-Well my d-dad did tell me about one. The Imperious Curse."

"Ah, your father would know all about that." Moody said mysteriously before going back to the front, taking out a jar with a living spider on it. In the corner of my eye, I saw Misty tensed up as the spider got out of the jar.

"Scared of a little spider aye, Prince?" I joked. Alex nudged me and gestured to be quiet and pay attention. I sigh in boredom and watch Moody play with the spider.

"Imperio!" He muttered, and I saw the spider started twitching. Moody waved his wand, and soon, the spider was going in the same direction Moody's wand is pointed. He even got the idea to play with the spider and put it on people's head, hair, face.. my face. It was absolutely disgusting.

"Now, who can tell me the next curse?" He asked, looking around. "You, what is it?" He asked, pointing at Longbottom.

Neville nervously stood up and said, "The Cruciatus Curse." he said it rather weakly and quiet. Moody put the spider in front of him and said, "Crucio" and the spider started twisting and screeching in pain. It was unbearable to watch, seeing the look on Longbottoms' face, it looked like it was painful for him.

"Stop it! Stop it! Can't you see it's bothering him?!" I thought it was Granger to said it, but it was Misty, who's hair had turned white, which means scared.

"Prince." Moody grinned and came over at her table. Finnigan, who is sitting beside her, sank down on his seat, obviously fearing Moody. Mad-Eye Moody as they call him. "Do you know the last curse?"

Her hair turned even more lighter of white, if that's even possible. She was really scared but she managed to say, "The killing curse." Alex had told me about her fear of the killing curse. .

"That's right, Avada Kedavra!"and the spider dropped down dead. Literally. There was a moment of silence for he said, "Class dismissed."

Everyone sprinted out of the classroom. Alex grabbed Misty's hand before she could go anywhere else. "You okay?" He asked concerned, seeing the pale look of his sister.

Misty nodded and smiled reassuringly. "I'm fine, Moody just scares me a bit."

By the look of her face, I can tell she was lying, and apparently, Alex noticed as well. "Don't lie, come on we need a talk." He said.

I was expecting Misty to protest and walk away, but she just sighed in defeat and followed Alex. Blaise and I just awkwardly followed the two, going to the courtyard. "Give us a private moment?" Alex asked.

"Sure, let's go over there Draco." Blaise said and dragged me away from them.

"Blaise! I wanted to listen to them!" I hissed.

"Why?"

"So I could know what's wrong with Misty." I answered simply, then realizing what I said, I added "Not that I care or anything."

"You care, Draco. Just admit it to yourself. You fancy her." He smirked. "It's okay, everyone already knows."

I looked at him in disbelief, "What?!"

"Well, they don't know. I just presume everyone in Hogwarts, with the exception of Misty herself, would notice the way you look and act around her. You fancy her, even though you don't want to. So you try to cover up your feelings by annoying her."

At first, I was about to laugh and make a comment, but then now that I think about it, maybe he's right.. Maybe I should just accept the fact that I fancy Misty... and she hates me...
