Vic pulled up to Louise's new home and hopped out of the vehicle. He ran to the front door and knocked on it. He waited for a few seconds until he saw the door opening slowly. There stood Louise, and she was now dressed differently. She had on a bright yellow tanktop over a matching skirt and a pink fur coat. She still wore her golden star necklace around her neck.
"Vic," Louise said as he stared at Vic up and down.
"Louise," Vic replied staring at Louise up and down as well. "You look... beautiful."
"And you, Vic," Louise replied, "you look... sharp."
They both laughed at each other's compliment. They were both stunned at how each other were looking. They both were dressed nicely and appealing.
Vic slowly walked inside the house. The living room was beautiful. There was a plant and fish tank against the wall, as well as a couch just across. There was a nice white rug between the materials, as well as a white marble coffee table onto it. A television on a nightstand was right on the right-hand corner next to the fish tank. There was also a nightstand and a lamp right next to the couch. The song "Like a Virgin" by Madonna was playing on the radio. The whole living room was beautiful.
"Wow," Vic uttered in amazement. "You really moved on up."
"It's all thanks to you, Vic," Louise told him wearing a pleased smile on her face. "I would've spent the rest of my adult life living on my sister's couch if you haven't showed me independence. I got so much more food, and my baby's got much more clothes and toys. Thank you so much, Vic."
"Hey, it's no big," Vic replied modestly. "You really deserve this. You been in too much shit in the past and it was now time for you to live a better life. I'm glad I was there to help you out."
"I am so grateful too," Louise replied. "God bless you, Vic Vance."
"Ah, no problem, Louise," Vic said slightly blushing. It was the first time he ever blushed in his life. He never would've thought to find the softer side of himself.
"So," Louise said, "I heard you and Lance got rich."
"Yeah," Vic said. "Well just excuse my brother for being a pain in the ass. He's like a magnet. Always pulling me into his schemes."
Louise laughed at Vic's comment. "You're so funny without even trying," Louise giggled.
"Yeah," Vic responded. "It's a curse I was unfortunately blessed with. I guess you could say I'm horribly gifted."
This caused Louise to laugh even harder. "You have such a unique sense of humor, Vic," she said smiling.
"That's another curse," Vic responded. "What do you say you take me on a tour around your new home?"
"I'd be glad to," Louise told him. "Just follow me. You already seen my living room, now I can show you everything else."
Louise guided Vic through the hallways, which had a large poster of Vice City hanging on the left side. There was also picture frames of Louise and her relatives hanging on her wall.
"This is the hallway," Louise informed. "I like to remember most of my relatives, including my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents."
"I notice there isn't a single picture of you with your ex-husband," Vic told her.
"I burned them all," Louise replied. "Who wants an abusive, cold-hearted prick to live in their memories?"
"I can understand that," Vic replied. "The guy's not worth the memories."
"Exactly," Louise answered.
She then guided Vic through the kitchen, which was embellished with intricate designs of colorful flowers on the white walls and completely immaculate, with the gray linoleum floor reflected lucidly by the background above it.
"This is the kitchen," Louise told Vic. "I kept everything nice and neat inside here."
"I can tell," Vic replied.
Louise even guided him to the refrigerator to check the inside The foods were neatly set up and labeled. "Now as you can see inside this here fridge," Louise continued, "the food that's ready to eat are on top, the seafood is on the second shelf, the beef is on the third shelf, and all the way on the bottom is the poultry.
"Wow," Vic uttered. "You sure are organized, I see."
"And that's not even all," Louise replied closing the fridge door and guiding him to the cabinets. They were labeled and closed, with the oil and sugar inside the cabinets above the stove, the dishes on the right side of the cabinets above the stove, and the spices right next to the cabinets containing the dishes.
Louise opened the dish cabinet to show the plates stacked neatly and the bowls and cups stacked on the side. "I have all of my things labeled and organized so I'll know which is which," she continued.
"It's great that you're staying neat and organized Louise," Vic told her. "It really makes me satisfied to see you're living a more happy life."
"You ain't seen nothing yet," Louise told him. "Follow me upstairs."
So Vic followed Louise upstairs, where Vic saw that there was a long hallway on the second floor. The gray carpet was spotless and immaculate. There were more pictures of Louise as a child and her siblings hanging on the walls. There were exactly five doors on the side, plus a ceiling door that may have led to the attic.
Louise opened the first door to the right. "This is the closet," Louise informed showing Vic the interior replete with coats hanging on the rack and a couple of boxes on the shelf. It was neat and well-organized.
Louise then turned to the door to the left and opened it to show the inside of the bathroom. "This is the bathroom," Louise continued, "which I had spent the whole day cleaning fastidiously."
She wasn't lying either. The mirror on the right hand side was clear and shiny. The white sink surrounded by the gray marble counter was immaculate. There was a toilet on the right end of the corner with a purple cover on top of the seat. The bathtub was on the left and covered by a purple shower curtain designed with daffodils.
Vic looked around in awe. "I see," he answered.
Louise then guided Vic to the door just right next to the bathroom and opened the door to show her bedroom. "This is my bedroom," Louise said as the two stepped inside. "As you can tell, I have done a little organizing here."
"I can definitely see that, Louise," Vic muttered.
The bedroom contained a large mattress in the middle against the wall. a dresser with a mirror on the left side, a closet facing the bed, a nightstand with a lamp and alarm clock on top on the left side, and another nightstand on the right side. There was even a window on the right side of the wall.
"Say Vic," Louise told him, "you wanna play some games? They're all in the gaming room."
"You have a gaming room?" Vic asked.
Yep," Louise told him.
They stepped into the next room, which was replete with a television, a video game system, a couple of arcade machines, and even board games on the shelf.
Vic looked around to examine the place. "It looks nice," he said.
Louise then reached under the television to pick up the gaming controller. "You want to play Vice Racers?" she asked Vic.
"Sure," Vic accepted. He grabbed the other controller from under the television.
"Well get ready for lunch, Vic Vance, because you're gonna eat my rocks as soon as I'm about to beat you," Louise boasted playfully.
"Oh yeah?" Vic chuckled. "Well see about that."
So Louise turned the game on and it began as she and Vic took a seat in beanbag chairs. The intro of the game was shown on screen, and Louise pressed the start button. The two had to pick their preferred vehicles. Louise chose a red car with orange stripes, while Vic chose a black car with flaming designs.
The game began with the two cars at the staring line of a racing track, and the traffic light in front gradually changed from red light to another red light to green, and the two vehicles started riding.
Louise was able to get a head start as her car pulled about twenty feet away from Vic's car. Vic's car continued to drive as the two cars turned left on the road. Vic was still trailing behind Louise as the two cars were racing around the track, which was somewhat complex.
It had a straight tunnel from under the starting line, a three-story spiral road that a racer would get to by turning left, a bridge straight ahead after exiting the top of the spiral, a straight cave to enter when turning right, and a hill that the racer could go down as they would make a right turn, a U-turn among the path, and return back to the starting line.
Vic was still trailing Louise as he struggled to catch up. By the time Louise crossed the finish line, her car was already on the second lap. Vic barely made his second lap just five seconds after Louise. He saw that he was getting closer to her, just ten feet away. Louise was still too quick for him, as she continued to inch about five more feet away from him. Vic just continued speeding up. He was getting closer to Louise after all. They both continued racing the track through the course as they both crossed the finish line for a second time, with Louise still in front of Vic.
The final lap was now in play, and Vic was closing in on Louise. The two were battling it out with each other. Vic was getting closer as the two raced through a tunnel. The cars then turned left and went around the spiral road that lead them to the higher part of the track. They turned right and straight down the overhead bridge, making another right as they drove straight down. They then raced down the hill and made another right turn, Vic still closing in on Louise as the two racers made a U-turn among the path. Soon, the racers were now neck to neck, and Vic and Louise each had determined looks in the face, looking to be the first to cross the finish line.
It was a close race, but Vic won the race by default. Louise clapped for Vic.
"I win!" Vic shouted in victory. "I take the 'W' in this game!"
"Great job, Vic!" Louise told him as she continued to clap. "It was close, but you did it! That was fun!"
"Yep," Vic told her.
Vic then stared hard at Louise's blue eyes, and Louise stared into Vic's as well. "You know Vic," Louise finally replied, "has anyone ever told you how handsome you were?"
"Not many people, actually," Vic admitted. "You're quite good-looking yourself."
"Thank you, Vic," Louise said smiling while blushing.
The two continued to stare in each other's eyes. They were each mesmerized by each other's looks as they leaned even closer to each other. It was Vic's turn to speak.
"Hey, Louise," he stared to say, "would you... "
"Yes!" Louise interrupted. "Yes, I would love to have you as my new lover, Vic! You're such a caring guy and always looking out for you family! Those are attractive traits in a man I love!"
"That's great!" Vic replied smiling, "because you're the first woman I met who's actually more open-minded and can see a man for him and not for what he has. I'm glad I was able to move you up in life."
"And I appreciate it too, Vic Vance!" Louise responded.
They both gave each other warm hugs and stared in each other's eyes again. Again, they were mesmerized at what they were looking at.
"So we're officially lovers now," Vic said.
"Exactly," Louise replied nodding.
"Great," Vic responded. "Okay Louise, as much as I'd like to stay here to have more fun, I have some business to take care of. My brother's waiting on me."
"No problem, Vic," Louise said. "I understand. Be careful out there."
"I will," Vic replied. "You be careful in here."
Louise just giggled and waved goodbye to Vic. Vic had walked out of the room, through the hallway, downstairs, and through the living room to head out of the door. He felt satisfied. Not only had Louise finally lived a better life, she was now Vic's official girlfriend, and it would only be a matter of time how far their relationship would go from there. Right now, however, he decided to see Lance about the coke the two stole from Martinez.
