Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens rewritten

I know I'm gonna get hate and death threats shoved up the ass for this, but I don't hate the new trilogy. But if I were rewriting it, is it any indication that I think it's perfect? Of course not! But what I'm doing here is reintroducing familiar elements but putting new spins on them. So try to keep an open mind here, okay?

24. Ch 21 Father-Son Reunion

On the catwalk below we see Kylo Ren has already walked halfway across it. Then Han appears in the doorway behind him. "Ben!" Kylo freezes and the three one floor upward watch in tension.

"Han Solo. I've been waiting for this day for a long time…" Han slowly walks towards him. "Take off that helmet. You don't need it." "And what will you see if I do?" "The face of my son." Ben then takes the helmet off. "Your insight serves you well. How can you recognize me?" "I know my own son's stride anywhere. Now please, come back with us. It's not too late."

"I refuse! Your son was weak and foolish like his father! I destroyed him! There's nothing left of him now!" "That's not true. I'm looking at him right now." "If he were here, he'd be doing his best to fill the shoes of his grandfather. He was power. He was strength. He had done many great things. Had I stayed with the Jedi, I can never achieve the greatness that Vader had." "Vader sought destruction and war. My son doesn't."

"Once the Republic is destroyed, peace won't be a lie anymore. Everyone can be safe." "Everyone privileged enough. Now please. I miss you. Your mother misses you. Your sister misses you."

"The truth is… I'm being torn apart. I want to be free of this pain. I know what I have to do but I don't know if I have the strength to do it. I need help…" "Anything for you, son." There is a long pause. Ben brings the lightsaber out to his side, extending his arm. Then he turns on the lightsaber to stab his own father in the rib. Chewbacca roars in agony, Rey screams "NO!" and Finn looks in shock and horror. Ben then whispers "Thank you" before dropping his father's corpse onto the ray shield below.

Ben looks down and breathes slowly with a distraught look on his face. Chewbacca roars in anger and fires his bowcaster at Ben, only injuring him. Rey screams in anger and rides a slope then jumping onto the catwalk activating her lightsaber. "Rey!" "Don't worry about me! Disable those cannons!"

Finn and Chewbacca scurry off while Rey charges Kylo Ren, screaming and holding the lightsaber with both 's attacks are heavy while Kylo attempts to do heavy attacks with one hand holding his lightsaber but his injury prevents him from doing any real damage. He even tries to push her with the force at one point. But she was able to block it even as she staggers
