Chapter 24
Weeks Later
The next time the couple saw Sam. The teenager belly had grown bigger along with her entire body. All the couple could focus on was the impending birth of their child.
They decided to meet Sam for breakfast at the family run diner in town.
"You look beautiful. How have you been feeling.?" Brooke asked.
Sam smiled up at the woman. "I'm great. The baby will be born soon so that's exciting." She replied. Gazing over the various menu options.
"Get anything you like. We'll cover it. In terms of you're prenatal appointments there is no reason. For you to attend them alone. Brooke and i want to be a support system for you and the baby throughout this process."
"We know the circumstances you were living under weren't ideal. Now you're staying in the hotel suite we purchased which is great. But we want to do more." Lucas said.
"Do more how exactly.?" Sam asked.
Brooke smiled back at her. "We want to get you a place to live. A house. Somewhere you can call home. And not only that but give you the money needed to gain a college education. You are giving us. Me especially the opportunity to be a mother. I will never be able to repay you for this."
"These gestures are just our way of showing our gratefulness." Brooke said.
"Thank you. The both of you are too kind. I don't deserve it." Sam said.
"Yes you do don't be so humble. You're giving us a daughter. That's a gift. This baby will complete our family." Lucas said.

Sometime Later
After retelling her encounter with Brooke and Lucas at the diner this morning to her mother the pregnant teenager had to sit down.
Ms. Walker laughed and stared down at the check her daughter was given for a possible down payment.
"10,000 dollars. Sammie we are this close to having the life we always imagined. Once this baby is born the last of our plan will be put into action." Ms. Walker said.
