Minerva rushed though the halls as quickly as her seven month pregnant belly would allow her. Poppy had sent word that an accident had occurred and Harry had been seriously injured. "Poppy," Minerva said as she pushed through the Infirmary doors with Hermione right behind her.

Harry was laying on a hospital bed with his shirt ripped open. He was extremely pale and blood was covering him and apparently still flowing from him. Minerva watched as Poppy spelled potion after potion directly into his stomach and wave her wand frantically as she tried to stop his bleeding.

"What happened," Hermione asked, her voice cracked by her strong emotions.

Neville sat in the bed next to Harry's looking lost. "A section of the Quidditch stands were weak. The safety charms were failing and there were students on them. The older students managed to get to safety but there were three first year students near the top that were frozen by fear. Harry was rushing into action before I realized what was happening. He managed to save two of them easy enough; however, the third one was in shock. She couldn't follow any commands. Harry was making his way to her when the safety charms completely failed. He made the decision to use his last few seconds spelling her in my direction. He had no chance to protect himself from the fall," Neville explained shakily. "It took me too long to get him out of the collapsed stands."

"You're the reason he has a fighting chance," Poppy said as she sat down tiredly in the chair Hermione conjured for her. "He is critical but stable for now. Major arteries and organs were split open and he has lost so much blood."

Minerva let out a sob of relief as her hand covered her mouth and her tears flowed down her face uninterrupted. After she composed herself she asked, "Are the students okay?"

Neville nodded his head. "Rolonda and Pomona were sorting everything at the pitch out. I focused on getting Harry help."

Minerva nodded and walked closer to her husband. She perched herself on the edge of his bed and held his hand. She was shocked when he tugged her down next to him and by the looks of it so was Poppy.

"Can you hear me Harry," Poppy asked. She received no answered. "Lay with him Minerva. He obviously wants you by his side."

Minerva nodded and turned so that she could look at Harry. Her pregnant belly perched somewhat on top of him. She gently place her hand next to his injured chest. All of a sudden, her belly glowed a blinding white and warm tingling magic flowed up to her arm and then out of her hand. Slowly Harry's injuires started knitting themselves closed. "The baby is healing him," Poppy said in disbelief. "Do not move from that spot Minerva!"

Poppy jumped out of the chair and started diagnosing spells. A smile graced her lips. "He is going to be fine," she breathed in wonder. "Little miss just saved her daddy's life."

"She used Minerva's magic as a conduit to do it," Hermione said amazed. "Her magic alone wasn't strong enough but adding Minerva's was. I have never heard of anything like this."

"It's a rare occurrence," Poppy said. "I have only read about in medical books. Never had I witnessed it until today."

Tears flowed down Minerva's face as she laid next to Harry. Her hand still tingling from the baby's magic. She had never felt such warm magic before. It was like being encased in comforting warm bath and wrapped up in an embrace all at once. How could such a tiny unborn baby have so much magic she wondered.

Harry woke up confused. He had Minerva wrapped up in his embrace and was in the Infirmary. He thought back and finally remembered the Quidditch stand incident. He tightened his hold on his wife and sighed. I was so close to losing all of this! My Minerva was so close to raising our children alone! Tears welled in his eyes at the mere thought.

"You would have done the same thing given the same situation," a voice softly whispered. "You could not leave those children to fall to their deaths nor could you stand yourself if you did."

Harry looked over and saw Hermione sitting in a chair tucked out of sight with a book resting on her lap. Harry nodded his head. "You are correct Mione," he whispered. "It just hit me how close I came to losing this all and how close Minerva came to being a single parent."

Hermione nodded her head in understanding. "Your unborn baby saved you," she informed. "She used Minerva's magic as a conduit and healed you. The baby is fine but Minerva is magically exhausted. She will be fine but the shock of everything and the added strain on her magic has decreased her magic reserves. She will be perfectly fine after a few days rest."

Harry nodded in acknowledgement and pulled Minerva nearer. "Who has the twins? How come you are here instead of Poppy?"

"Poppy just left about an hour ago. She is still nursing and needs her rest as well. I offered to stay until you woke up. You are free to leave but Poppy wants you and Minerva to rest and come by tomorrow sometime for a check up," Hermione informed him matter-of-factly. "Neville has the twins at the moment but I will join him shortly. We will be fine for a few days while you both recover."

"Thanks Mione," Harry said sincerely. "But we both know Minerva will be beating your door down by midmorning to see them."

Hermione laughed softly before agreeing. "Do you need help to your chambers?" Harry shook his head no before apparating Minerva and himself out of the Infirmary. Hermione was left wondering how he had managed it.
