CHAPTER 22
It's Christmas
"Breathe Bella," Edward said as they walked through the doors of the Yule Ball together. She was dressed in a beautiful cap sheer sleeve starry pattern long gown with gold chunky heel Mary Jane shoes. The scene before her was like an icy winter wonderland with a huge Christmas tree covered in fake snow and twinkling white lights. The Yule Ball was the school's annual Christmas part for the students of all grades from freshmen year to senior year since the next big dance was prom, for juniors and seniors only. Edward was in a handsome black suit and shiny black shoes that went great because of his light blue shirt against Bella's navy and gold dress.
Alice was of course in charge of decorations. She since she loved theme from the Harry Potter's Christmas party, she made sure this year's theme color was blue and white which made it feel authentic and appropriate colors for balloons, tablecloths, napkins, and more. There were hang snowflakes on the walls, tulle draped over staircases with glitter keys tied around it to give it shape. Alice gave a nice touch of elegance, hanging string lights along the stage area with small artificial trees stationed on either side. There was even floating candles using battery-powered tea lights, toilet paper rolls, and fishing string.
There was a DJ to jam out. That played such hits as e "Cha Cha Slide" and "Cotton-Eye Joe" because those are guaranteed to get guests out of their seats. Alice loved getting everyone together as they celebrating their inner nerds by playing the famous "Do the Hippogriff" from the Yule Ball scene in the Goblet of Fire film.
Late morning into the afternoon, Alice had Bella and Angela in her room to get ready for tonight's Yule Ball. Alice started with the nails. She buffed and polished Bella's nails into a nice blazing neon red by Chanel. Red for Christmas was perfect fit. While Alice worked on Bella's long hair, pulling the curls back from her face, Angela did her own nails and toes black to go with her dark green suede strapless long fitted dress with slight train and black suede pump with silver crystals on back of heel. Angela's hair pulled up into half ponytail with wavy curls hanging down her back. Alice was dressed in a short light blue flirty halter dress with white high heel pumps with silver embellishments on back heel. Alice had her mother Esme pay to have extensions added to Alice's head so she could do crown bun with intrinsic curls and curly ponytail end hanging down her back. Rosalie came into Alice's room to borrow some hairspray. She was dressed in a red 2-piece sleeveless dress with silver sequinned overlay and silver belt at waist and black oxford suede high heel shoes. Her blond hair pulled into a curly updo.
"Well, well, you two came," Tanya said as Bella and Edward arrived. Edward put his arm around Bella's waist.
"Well, I couldn't let my beautiful girlfriend's dress go without one dance." Tanya rolled her eyes. She looked Bella up and down. As much as she hated to admit it. Bella did look gorgeous and would probably win Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus with Edward.
"You look nice Bella."
"Wow, thanks Tanya. You do too." Tanya was dressed in a pink sleeveless long gown with white lace overlay of the bust and pink ankle strap flats. Half her hair pulled back into a spiral ponytail and the rest left hanging with spiral curls.
"Don't forget to vote for Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus."
"What's that?" Bella asked.
"Like King and Queen of homecoming but this one is for Yule Ball."
"Oh."
"We might finally win this year with you at my side again."
"I doubt that," Bella said.
"Bella, come on, the only reason we won King and Queen this year at homecoming was because of you."
"Well, mostly you, everyone just too shocked I was next to you and I won by default."
"No, we won because you look beautiful in that white dress."
Bella could only remember freaking out because she had to have crutches to go with her shimmering white Reem Acra gown and flat shoes. She had sprained her ankle pretty bad a few days before. Carlisle said Bella wouldn't be able to walk on that stage without some crutches. Edward and Bella walked the red carpet for Homecoming together and won the popular vote because of Bella's courage to come out even on crutches. Tanya thought this year was finally the year she wins with Edward, after Edward and Rosalie won last year, though Edward refused to take the crown last year with his adopted sister handing his crown to Emmett, who gladly accepted the King crown with his girlfriend as Queen.

Edward pulled Bella aside outside to a patio made for private dancing . It was a bit chilly, so he removed his suit jacket.
"Care you dance?"
"Did I not step on your toes enough during the "Cha Cha Slide" and "Do the Hippogriff"?" Bella asked.
"Yeah, but this one can be slow." Bella could hear "It's Christmas" by N Sync was playing behind them. "Come on, let's slow dance!"
"Really?" Bella asked.
"Well.." Edward reached down and lifted Bella to stand on his feet. He started moving them. "Is this better?" Edward asked.
"Much." Bella laid her head against his chest, as they slowly moved along the dance floor.

"I am," Bella chuckled. Edward continued to move them across the tiny dance floor.
"At a ball."
"I know. I never thought I could ever go to ball. I read about so many balls I always wanted to go to one."
"Me too, with the perfect girl."
"Can we...tonight?" Bella stepped off Edward's feet.
"Can we what?"
"Be alone."
"You want to?" Edward asked.
"You don't?"
"I want you. Always," Edward said.
"Good. Come by my room tonight then."
"Are you sure?"
"I dream about being with you forever," Bella said.
"Forever?" Bella nodded. Edward bent Bella down, dipping her head back and kissed her neck.
"OK." They finished the dance.

Edward gave Bella a kiss before he went to talk with some guys while Bella went to get a drink. Rosalie rolled her eyes when Bella came into the same line behind her. She tapped Rosalie's shoulder which made Rosalie slowly turn around and face Bella.
"What is your problem with me Rosalie? What did I ever do to you?"
"Please…stop Bella. You actually think I care about you?"
"I mean, you have to with the way you glare at me and Edward together. I thought you have Emmett right," Bella said.
"What does Emmett have to do with anything?"
"I mean, do you even love Emmett, for you know him, or do you just love Emmett because you will never have Edward?"
"Excuse me! How dare you even say such silly things to me? Edward is my brother, I have never…"
"Because he has never wanted you. I wonder if Edward was ever interested…"
"Well, you wouldn't be here for sure," Rosalie muttered.
"Exactly, and maybe you would be truly happy, with Edward."
"I don't want Edward. I love Emmett."
"Good. Because I love Edward, he is my life. If you love Emmett…"
"I do."
"Good, then go be with Emmett. I love Edward. So let Edward and I be happy. And get over yourself, jealousy is not pretty on your face. It's not pretty, it's petty." Bella walked away. Rosalie stormed away to the opposite side. Alice went over to Bella standing by the drink table after Rosalie walked off.
"Wow, I haven't seen Rose that pissed off since Dad took away her Porsche for failing a Gym test when she refused to climb the rope because she didn't want to break a nail."
"Good."
"I love you Bella." Alice put her arm around Bella. Bella smiled. "You were the missing link to this family. I am so happy we're sisters." Alice hugged Bella, who chuckled patting Alice's back.
Bella moaned as she was on top of Edward, both equally naked. She pulled away from their passionate kiss and arched her head back. Edward raised his head and kissed her chin. His hand gripped her waist. Bella gasped when Edward wrapped his arms around her waist and flipped them over.
"I heard what you said to Rosalie."
"It's that what got you so excited?" Bella asked.
"Partially. Most of time, just you breathing makes me hard." Bella smiled. She felt his cock pulse between them. "But hearing you tell Rosalie off and say you love me…"

Edward leaned down and kissed Bella again. She smiled. Edward was kneeling over Bella as she laid naked on the bed. He smiled down at her.

"Then, let's don't," Edward said. "Let us run away together and never look back." Bella giggled as Edward wrapped his arms and legs around her.
"How will we live?"
"Off the streets or in the forest. With your good looks and your brain, we can go far."
"You don't give yourself much credit. You have a way more prettier face than mine. And you're smarter than me."
"Bella, your name means beauty. You are the true beauty, inside and out. I couldn't be luckier."
