It had been a few months since Jasper and I started dating, everything was going well...until it wasn't... One day I was home alone as everyone else went hunting...well except for Emmett and Tula... Suddenly, Emmett came out of his room. I was surprised since he hadn't come out of his room for almost 6 months. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. What was he going to do? He was stood right behind me and the hairs on my arms began to stand up and I was beginning to get goosebumps.
"Tammy." His voice suddenly murmured.
"Y-Yes," I replied shell shocked.
"I'm still in love with you, you know?"
I was...surprised.
"I-I know."
Without consciously thinking he kissed me. I tried to push him away but it was no use, he was stronger than me.
Jasper's POV:
We were in the car, Alice was driving. Suddenly, Alice slammed on the brakes like she does when she has a vision of someone's future. The vision lasted what seemed like an eternity although, in reality, it was only a few seconds. When it was over, I didn't hesitate to ask curiously:
"Alice what did you see?!" Her response left me speechless, if I was human, I'd have goosebumps.
"Emmett is kissing Tammy."
"HE'S WHAT?!" At this point, my face was BURNING with fury. What did he think he was doing? I thought. Alice was driving too slow for my taste, even though the speed-o-meter was on 150 mph.
"God Alice, you've gotta hurry up!" The speed-o-meter was now on 200 mph but I thought it was still too slow.
"Alice drive at...I don't know, like 400 mph!" I shouted in anguish. The speed-o-meter was now on 350 mph, it finally reached 400 mph. Within two minutes we were home.
"Alice what room were they in?!" I almost screamed.
"Umm..." She thought for a moment. "Tam's room!" She finally replied with focus.
Without a second thought, I ran at maximum vampire speed to Tam's room. As soon as I burst through the door, I grabbed Emmett away from Tam. I wanted so badly to punch the hell out of him but I refrained because I knew Carlisle would kick me out if I did, and I couldn't do that to Tammy. I couldn't leave her alone in the house with Emmett. I could sense Tammy was afraid of Emmett...no she was petrified of him...
I took her to our room/my room and tried to calm her down, to no success. I decided to send a few waves of calm her way and it made a dent in her fear. The hairs on her arms were still stood up but the goosebumps were gone. I couldn't think of any other way to calm her except to sing to her:
"Heartbeats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall?
But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow
One step closer
I have died every day, waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything, take away
What's standing in front of me
Every breath, every hour has come to this
And all along I believed, I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me;
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
One step closer
One step closer
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more
And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more."
I sang until there were no lyrics left. I knew she'd calmed down because I sensed her fright turn into amazement.
"Jaz. That was...amazing!" She exclaimed excitedly.
"Thank you, Tam."
"It's true!"
