I Didn't Have A Choice-Ch 23
Penelope looked over at Desmond and smiled, she walked over and said, "Desmond I'd like for you to meet somebody", he said, "o okay" as she took him by the hand and led him across the yard. She stopped in front of Sarah and said, "Sarah Morgan this is my guardian angel, the man that saved my life Dr. Desmond Martinez".
Desmond held his hand out and said, "it's nice to meet you Sarah", Penelope said, "Sarah is soon going to be my sister-in-law, she is one of Dereks beautiful sisters", Desmond smiled as Sarah said, "it's really nice to meet you too", Desiree smiled and gave Penelope the thumbs up and then went back to talking to Jessica and Sean.
Sarah said, "I want to thank the man that saved one of the most amazing women I've ever met", Desmond said, "she is definitely that, I could tell that from the second I met her in the ER". Desmond said, "would you like to go for a walk"?, Sarah nodded her head and said, "I'd love too" and she looped her arm through his as they walked across the yard and up the gravel path that led to a beautiful pond up behind Penelopes house.
Derek walked over and wrapped his arms gently around Penelopes waist and said, "are you matchmaking again baby girl"?, she glanced over her shoulder and smiled and said, "who me, now would I do that"?, Derek turned her around in his arms and kissed her lips and said, "oh most definitely gorgeous, most definitely".
Fran smiled and said, "nice work Penelope, it looks like they are truly smitten", Derek said, "smitten, momma they just met, how can they be smitten that fast"?, Dave said, "when was it that you fell in love with kitten again"?, Derek said, "point taken old man, point taken" and everybody in the yard laughed.
A few minutes later Penelope had walked over to join the other women so they could talk wedding plans and Derek walked over to join the men who were watching the trio of young boys play. Hotch said, "so are you getting nervous yet"?, Derek said, "ohhhh yeah, definitely, I'm more nervous this time than I was last time".
Reid said, "that's because you came so close to losing her last time, you're afraid that will happen again", Derek said, "is that crazy"?, Dave said, "no son it's not, it's not". Sean said, "it sounds like you and Penelope have been through a lot together", Reid looked at Sean and said, "ohhhhh you have no idea" and then Sean sat there listening as Reid told him just a few of the things that Derek and Penelope had been through.
Shane smiled as he walked across the yard, he said, "so here is where everybody is", Penelope hugged him and said, "where have you been, I've been worried about you"?, Shane said, "well I took a long hot shower, laid down and took a good, refreshing nap and then went for a walk, it felt so good to be able to do all of those things without having to worry about what was going on around me".
Penelope said, "I bet it was", she looked into his eyes and said, "are you hungry, their is plenty of food", Shane said, "ohhh it looks and smells amazing, I think I will". She couldn't help but smile as she watched him walk over to the table where all of the food was, he filled his plate and then walked over and joined Penelope and the other women.
About an hour later Penelope looked up to see Sarah and Desmond sitting with their hands intertwined, she grinned and said, "well it looks like we might have another couple on our hands". Shane said, "oh no, are you matchmaking again"?, Penelope playfully swatted his arm and said, "hush you" and everybody laughed for a second before they jumped back into the wedding plans.
