Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Bewitched Bond. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth do.

Glynda dodged another strike before firing a blast of Dust. She watched the Geist back up while Crim struck its legs.

"We need to damage it's mask!" Glynda yelled at Crim. Crim was trying to tangle the Geist's legs so it collapsed.

Crim knew that he would be crushed if he wasn't careful.

"If we can freeze one of its legs, we can strike it!" Crim yelled back before he twirled Firebrand in his hands.

Crim sighed before the Geist roared.

"Port, can you cripple one of its limbs!?" Crim yelled as the Geist hefted a rock.

Port aimed Blowhard and grinned as the Geist tossed the rock at Crim.

"Crap." Crim stated before trying to duck for cover.

(Present Times)

Glynda looked at Crim had finished setting a desk straight. Crim turned a computer the right way before cracking his neck.

"Should I ask how fixing up the library has ANYTHING to do with protecting Vale?" Crim questioned before he turned and walked back towards the other end of the room.

Crim brushed the particles of grime and filth off him. Crim could tell the library hadn't been cleaned since the invasion.

He was covered in enough floating dust to tell for sure.

"Because we're be allowed to use it as a command post." Glynda stated as she pushed up her glasses with the Disciplinarian. "We can't use Beacon every day. The school needs to be put back together." Glynda added as she folded the crop and placed it in the pouch on her boot.

Crim rolled his eyes and sighed at this.

"Yes, because putting the library together SOOOO helps." Crim said while he walked halfway across the library. "That's going to help keep maintenance crews safe. I'm also sure that will help kill all of the Grimm destroying Vale." Crim stated as he crossed his arms.

Glynda said nothing and walked to the front desk. Crim looked at Port and Oobleck who were busy reading books.

Crim was reminded of the times COPR visited here. Those were very fun and fond times… And Glynda would pelt him with trash and books for being annoying.

Then again? Quite a few things would and could annoy Glynda.

"Your sarcasm certainly isn't going to keep the Grim away." Glynda said with amusement in her tone. "Besides, it wouldn't kill you to get some book smarts. You do remember how the books worked, right? Glynda asked with a smirk which made Crim grin in response.

The one thing he loved about having Glynda for a partner? She was easily one of the snarkiest and most dry jokesters he knew. Crim could take a jab being mad at his expense if it was witty enough.

"Funny, the second I gave you a scroll?" Crim asked Glynda as he walked over. "You'd never drop the damn thing." Crim added with a smirk on his face. Glynda said nothing, it wasn't an untrue statement.

"Yes, because it was new technology." Glynda added while she moved a few cabinets with her semblance.

"Yes, from Atlas." Crim said as he pulled his own scroll out. "I always liked the technology they had. It was a lot more stylish then anything Vale had at the time." Crim muttered more to himself then to Glynda.

"Yes, I suppose they did." Glynda stated while adjusting her glasses once more. They were always falling in front of her face and it annoyed her to no end.

"You haven't heard from Atlas, I'm guessing?" Crim questioned Glynda.

Glynda looked at Crim. He asked a question; it wasn't an accusation. She sighed and shook her head before finally removing her glasses. Glynda dabbed at her eyes with a tissue. Crim watched her shoot the tissue halfway across the room with her semblance.

"No, I'm afraid not." Glynda stated with a sigh while cleaning off her shirt. Crim let out a hum and nodded. He had no real idea what the rest of the world was doing. "James hasn't contacted me since the siege of Vale." Glynda added while Crim crossed his arms.

"He's always like that or is it the stress of being general?" Crim asked Glynda who turned to look at him with interest.

It was then Glynda realized they had both met Ironwood several years ago. Crim was well aware that Ironwood was a general in the Atlesian Army.

"I'm not sure, but this silence worries me." Glynda said as Crim brushed off his hands.

"You have private channels he can still contact you on, I'm guessing?" Crim asked Glynda who nodded before she turned and left.

Crim watched her walk towards the other part of the library. They still had some other work to handle at the moment.

Crim hoped the security teams worked well enough to help rebuild Vale before it burned. Crim didn't know how long it would take to fix up the library.
