Sometime later, Lynda knocked at the door of Sarah Jane's room. "Come in!" Sarah Jane's voice called.
Lynda entered to see Sarah Jane at the writing desk with a sheet of paper in front of her. As Lynda watched, Sarah Jane finished writing on the sheet and added it to a pile of others beside it. "What's going on?" Lynda asked.
"Oh this? It's an account I'm writing of our experiences here," Sarah Jane replied. "Back on Earth, I was a journalist. And this is a big story."
"I agree," Lynda said. "I guess, once you're done, you'll try to get it published, assuming such facilities exist here."
"It's possible," Sarah Jane said. "Also, I hope that people back home will read it."
"Back home?" Lynda said. "How will you even get it there?"
"I'm still working on that," Sarah Jane said. She lapsed into silence as she thought of the friends she'd left behind on Earth. Maria, Rani, Gita, Jo, Dorothy, Vince, Sally, Anne, K9. However, most of her thoughts were of her adopted son, Luke. I hope he's doing well, she thought.
"Sarah? You okay?" Lynda asked.
"I'm fine," Sarah Jane said. "I was just thinking of those I left back on Earth. How about you, anyone you miss?"
"A few," Lynda said. "I guess they would be happy if they knew I was still alive, in a manner of speaking, of course."
"Another reason for me to find a way to get this to Earth," Sarah Jane said. "However, until then, I'm going to keep writing about Riverworld. And this story is not yet over."
