Chapter 32: Support Items and Challenges.

Shouto's P.O.V

I started to move around regaining conciseness. Through flashes, I could see some kind of black substance that looked like tar. The next thing I saw was… Momo! She was being dragged by the substance to a stranger wearing a cape and a kabuki mask. Momo saw me and tried reaching her hand out. "Shouto help me!" She said. Soon she found herself in the grasp of the man.

"You think you can run from me?" He asked, "Nobody can run from the Aura Phantom." Momo struggled to get away, but Phantom's grasp on her was far too strong. "Now, I'm running late for a little engagement, so if you'll excuse me…." I rushed at Phantom and channeled ice into my fist. As soon as I was close enough I punched him hard. He released his grip on Momo, and fell to the ground. "Are you ok?" I asked looking to her. She nodded. I took her hand and we both started to run. "Then let's move!"

Phantom got back up and saw us running. "That was a cheap move." We kept moving forward not daring to look back at the danger that has just increased. I looked back for a second. I saw Phantom following us. He was somehow using the black substance as transportation like a ghost. "Going somewhere?" He asked. He summoned more of the substance using hand moves and threw part of it at us. Momo and I did a quick turn and avoided it. "His quirk is similar to Tokoyami's!" Momo said. "Well luckily I've sparred with him a few times, so I think I know what to expect," I said.

As fast as we could run, there was no way to shake this bastard. But I wasn't going to allow him to lay another finger on someone I loved. "Momo, do you trust me?" I asked turning to her.

"What?" She asked. "Do you trust me?" "Yes," she said. I quickly turned her to my back holding onto one of her legs with one of my hands. "Then hang on!" I threw some ice to the ground and started skating on it. We started to get away from that masked menace. I kept increasing speed ensuring that no harm would befall to Momo. Phantom cornered us using his substance. I grinned and jumped. Momo held on for dear life and we landed safely.

I kept skating fast and Phantom begun to catch up on the other side. I glared at him as I kept skating. He used his hands to summon the black substance again entrapping us in a wall. I lost my balance and fell dropping Momo. Phantom jumped and landed right in front of her. "Now then," he said as he grabbed her by the collar of her shirt, "You're due for an appointment with my employer. "Who?" She asked. He got closer and his mask moved up a bit. "You'll find out soon enough."

Someone's arm stretched out and punched Phantom. I turned to the left to see Han Lee. "These new gloves really do the trick!" He said. I took this as an opportunity to try and freeze this man in place. I stomped my foot creating a line of Ice. Phantom evaded it with a high jump. "Let's have a little fun," he said.

He had on a strange ring similar to the one Midoriya saw. It was glowing green and the substance changed color. He shot an aura sphere at me and I narrowly dodged it. "What…." "These rings have a hidden power aside from making weapons," Phantom said, "They can also amplify the characteristics of someone else's quirk. Once I have all 6 rings, I will create an army of weaponized soldiers, and take over I-Island."

I secretly had fire in my hand. "I won't allow that." I lunged at him and was about to attack. Just before my punch could land, I was being held back by the substance. "Tsk tsk tsk," he said, "I expected better from the son of Endeavor." Someone shot a canon at him and he dodged. I looked to see Momo. "Get your slimy hands off my boyfriend!" She said. We all got into a fighting stance and looked to him.

He realized that he had been beat. "It seems I am outnumbered by children," he said as he got back up, "This time I'll let you go, but the next time we meet, you won't be so lucky." He summoned the substance and fled the battle scene. Momo rushed to me and enclosed herself in my arms. I was relieved that she was safe. "Are you alright?" I asked her.

She didn't say a word and simply nodded. "Good," I said before turning to Han, "Thank you for your help."

"No sweat," Han said, "These new hands that Melissa developed really do the trick." I grinned and then took Momo's hand. "Let's head back." We were walking back with Momo being really close to me.

Deku's P.O.V

Ochako and I were taking a tour around the campus where she studies heroics. "So you were quirkiness this whole time?" Ochako asked. "Yes, and my dad had a quirk that didn't really allow him to be a pro hero, and so he decided that he would become a hero through the power of science."

Both of us were amazed at this fact. "It was Dad who inspired me to be a hero in my own way. If not with a quirk, then as a hero supporter." Ochako looked at some of the things she created. "This stuff is amazing," she said. "What's amazing is Uncle Might's quirk," Melissa stated as she walked by her, "I decided to make something that could withstand his quirk. It allows someone that has a strength enhancement quirk to throw powerful punches without breaking the bones, while cooling off the skin tissue. "Nice," I said. Ochako then remembered something. She nudged Melissa's shoulder, and then whispered something in her ear.

"Oh that's right!" Melissa said, "Would you two wait here for a minute." She went up to another room. After a few minutes, she came back down and looked to me. "I made something special for you and your quirk Deku," she said. She gave me two wristbands. They had some kind of button on it.

"Just click them together like this," she explained as she put her arms in an x formation. I did as instructed. The buttons pressed against each other and the wristbands begun to glow. They then started to wrap around my arms like tape.

"These gauntlets were made to help you harness aura without losing too much stamina," Melissa explained, "When I saw you getting tired because of the amount of Aura, I figured I should do something to help you. Actually it was Ochako who brought it to my attention." I looked to her. "You helped me countless times, so I figured I should return the favor." I kissed her cheek. "Thanks."

Bakugo's P.O.V

I was walking around minding my own business. It did me well to walk around to clear my head of…. Unwanted images. I heard some voices and went to an alley. Some punks were picking on somebody and Sanjay was leading them. Another one of the punks had a hairstyle similar to mind, but it was longer. He also had an eyepatch to make himself look cool. "You have a quirk, I'll give you that, but it won't make you a hero like the ones you admire." "Of course it won't," Sanjay said, "He's the son of a rapist, which means he'll grow up to be exactly like him." They all started beating up on that kid, and he had tears coming out of his eyes.

It started to bring back memories. I was picked on by others because of something that happened. I wasn't going to let someone else go through the same thing. I walked up to them. "HEY!" I said. I shot a tiny explosion at Sanjay. "That's enough!" They all turned to me. "Well if it isn't Master Exploder," he said. "I don't go by that name anymore," I said, "I go by Ground Zero, and I don't tolerate people bullying the weak." His goons started to laugh. "Look at this," said the eye patch punk, "The tough kid is sticking up for others that are below him." "At least I'm not making fun of him for his quirk," I retorted clenching my hand in a fist, "Anyone in this fucking world can be a hero, whether they have a useful quirk or not."

Sanjay looked at me. "This is our business, so how about you just walk away and pretend this never….." I kneed him in the nuts. "How about you apologize to that boy," I said, "Unless you want more." Sanjay got back up and walked the pain off. "Let's go guys," he said. I looked at him. "Looks like you're too chickenshit to fight me," I said, "The minute you see me walking towards you, you just step back. I thought you were a pro wrestler, but you're more of a pro coward."

Those words stung him, and I could tell. "Alright," he said as he turned around to face me like a man, "If you think you're so tough then prove it. Tomorrow night, you and me, at the ring." I grinned and said, "You're on." Sanjay stepped away. The little boy walked up to me and smiled. "Thanks mister," he said, "Who are you?" I bent down to his level. "Let's just say I'm a guy who loves protecting the innocent, and hates bullies."

"You certainly do like protecting others but you don't like to admit it." I turned to see Starla, whom I've been getting close to. "So you mind telling me what that was about?" She asked with a smile. "Well, something happened to me when I was a kid, and I didn't want him to go through the same." "Well, you really do have a heart," Starla said, "It just took a nerd to help pull it out." I chuckled at that remark.

I knew I had to pop the question. Shitty hair, Sparky, and even Round-Face kept pestering me to do it. So I figured, what the hell. I turned to face Starla. "So there's this movie playing based on All Might," I begun, "Do you wanna maybe… check it out with me?" She blushed and then asked, "Like a date?" I blushed and then said, "Yeah." Starla smiled. How could she not. "Then yes," she answered. I started to smile. "Oh, and good luck on the challenge," she said. She started to walk back to the hotel. I grinned to myself and said, "This just keeps getting better." I took out my phone and texted shitty hair the news.
