She nodded, 'Could you help me up?'
He lifted her up easily, she was warm. He held onto her for longer than he intended to. 'Please let me go.'
He complied and she fell into the table. She started limping to the door, using the table as a crutch. Once she got to the end of the table, she stopped and turned back to him, 'Could you please help me to the door?'
He crossed the distance between them in four long strides, and scooped her up. She froze as he walked her to the door. 'Why are you carrying me?'
'You asked me to help you to the door and you're in no condition to walk.'
'I meant to let me lean on you, not for you to carry me!' She scolded, then realised that she was alone in a room with Russia. Who wasn't exactly known for his sanity, 'Sorry?'
He shook his head, 'Is okay, is nice to have people talk to me, most people run and soon as they realise that I'm in the room.'
The nations who ran from him looked guilty; they hadn't realised that Russia knew that they were running from him.
'Okay.'
Russia walks them to his car, and tells the driver to take them the hotel where the visiting nations are staying. 'Thanks for doing this.' asked Australia, who was still curled up next to him.
'I wasn't going to just leave you there.' He replies, wrapping his arm around her waist.
She moves closer to him, blushing.
America looks betrayed, 'Why are you hugging the Commie Bastard?'
Australia doesn't answer, so New Zealand answers for her, 'I'm guessing that it's the same reason that I like using Canada as a human teddy bear.'
Japan wracks his brain, but he can't remember any Canada.
America looks around at the nations who have no idea who Canada is. Only him, Australia, England, New Zealand and France are showing any signs of knowing who he is.
'Dudes! How do you not know who Mattie is?' he asks, incredulous, 'He's the giant landmass above me!'
Canada shrugs, 'I'm the scary hockey nation.' Instantly it dawns on the nations who Canada is. Canada shakes his head – no one outside of his family ever remembers him.
Japan looks at New Zealand, 'Zearand-san, why do you use Canada-san as a teddy bear?'
New Zealand grins, 'He's one of the coldest nations in the world. So, he's always cool and I'm one of the hotter countries, so, I'm always hot. It's a nice change to be cool.'
She grins as she finishes, 'And that's why I like using Canada as a human teddy bear.'
Australia rolls her eyes, 'You could have halved that explanation and it still would've explained it.'
She turns back to the memory and everyone else copies her.
They stay in a comfortable silence for a while, then Russia asks the question that he's been dying to ask, 'Why do you stay so close to me? I'm one of the coldest countries.'
'Well… Australia is a really hot country. And right now, there's a bushfire and that makes my temperature go up. It's a nice change being cool. I don't want to lose that.'
He nods, 'I wouldn't want to inconvenience a lady.'
The driver pulled up outside a hotel and opened the door, 'We are here.' Russia picked her up and carried her in.
The other guests and staff send them odd looks but a few glares from Russia stop them. Luckily, the other countries are still out – if England saw what was happening, he'd have a stroke. Russia walks them to his room and set her on a chair.
'Pull up your skirt.' He instructed.
