Hours Later

Tree Hill Top Hospital

"As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment. And then the moment was gone.

Chris awoke slowly he gazed around the room. Looking down to see he was dressed in a hospital gown. An Iv stuck into his arm and his wife asleep beside him in the large hospital bed.

Feeling movement take place beside her. Haley quickly sat up. Focusing her gaze on Chris.

"You're awake. I didn't know what to think or what to ask. I'm so glad you're okay. They will figure out what's wrong with you and you'll get treated then we'll go home and forget this ever happened." Haley said.

Chris took a deep breath. Took ahold of her hand in his.

"I know what's wrong with me. The only reason that they haven't told you is because i would rather keep the condition private from the world. I'm going to tell you what's really going on." Chris said.

"I have a brain tumor. It's called Glioblastoma. The survival rate is 15 to 16 months. I started having these symptoms these past few months. It wasn't until i went to the doctor and had tests done that i was given a diagnosis." Chris revealed.

Haley felt as if the room was spinning. Her heart sunk.

"I don't and won't accept this. You have the money to get different doctors views on this. There is surgery. You can fight this." Haley said.

Chris caressed her face with his hands.

"Spending days and weeks in and out of hospitals is just not worth the waste of time. I only want to savor every second we have together. With these babies." Chris said.
