'I hurt. Why do I hurt? There is so much pain. Why do I hurt so much? Eme help me,' the soft green glow came from behind 'I remember this. This glow has saved me before. Eme'

'I'm here, Princess. You're safe. Now sleep and get well.' this time, the darkness was welcome.

When she awoke again, she hurt less (thankfully) but was very stiff. Within moments of starting to wake, the familiar comfort of her lover's body appeared snuggled up behind her. Even with a baby bump, they still fit together.

Then other memories came. The long weeks alone, the rescue mission, the plasma burst, the crashing platform, and the bewildering pain in her belly then nothing. The sudden panic caused Kim to sit bold upright, which sent a stab a pain through her mid-section that knocked her back to the bed. Shego wrapped her arms around the younger woman holding her tight "Its ok, its ok just calm down, everything is ok."

"Everything?" the fearful tone nearly broke the ex-thief's heart

"Your awake and almost healed. The babies are healthy and adjusting nicely."

"Babies? So yours is ok too?"

"Uh, yes, mine is fine thanks to you, but that's not quite what I meant. Here lean back into me and watch my memories." Shego leaning against the wall legs spread to either side of Kim's hips as she pulled the naked body if the smaller woman back agents her own and opened their link.

I can hear the fighting it has begun. I wish I could do something, but I am stuck here helpless

"Come on, Shego, we need to get to landing bay three. You too Drewbe" Roboticly I follow unable to control my own body.

Mark from weapons tech came through the door to the left. "You're not going anywhere, but hell, you bitch" I want to hit him so bad I can taste it, but I am trapped inside my own body. "You betrayed us, and you will pay for it" at that moment, you and that really hot dark friend of yours seemed to appear out of nowhere and then to my shock a second Kim. What's going on? First, I think of the clone, but this Kim is the same age as the original, and I can hear both sets of thoughts, inwardly I smile, not sure if I want to brain or thank my little brothers but time to figure that out later.

"Amy," Kim's voice was calm "who has control of Shego?"

Amy's voice was a little shaky but firm "as of this moment, Kim, you do." They smile darkly.

Finley a master, I don't mind following "Shego defend yourself." The poor sap didn't even see it coming, and to my disappointment, it only took one hit. Kim quickly removed the hated collar, but nothing changed. "Are you infected with the control nanites." I can only nod. Turning to the two former bad guys, "thank you both, in my eyes, your debt is paid in full for all the trouble you have ever caused. However, we need to get out of here, so all of you follow me." And we all darted down the hall (well as much as someone the size of Amy could dash). Reaching the control room, we found wade and Kim's brothers hard at work "how's it going, Wade."

The young genius looks up, "I was able to pull a core dump and will decode it later, but the controls are locked, and it will take time to crack them."

"It's ok, I have an idea. Eme, you stay with me. The rest of you return to the extraction point," several of them looked like they were going to object "I know what I'm doing, go." With a look back, the others all left. Kim walked up to me from either side, sandwiching me between them. One kissed me on the lips the other on the neck (I could get used to this) their bellies were larger than I remembered but then so was mine. They released me and stepped back, "Ok, sweetie, please speak freely now and forever."

"I've missed you, princess, and now I get two of you. So what's this plan?"

Both Kims smile brightly "I am going to save you and destroy the control room in one fell swoop." I felt mu eyebrow rise in question, "you're going to do a concentrated plasma discharge."

" Nononono, no not again, our baby she will,"

"Be just fine." Kim interrupted, "I will be shielding her. I won't let anything happen to her, not to any of our daughters, ever." Both Kims smiled and kissed me again. "Do you trust me?" I was shaking in fear, so I just nodded. The Kims sandwiched me between them, holding tight "I can feel your baby bump" Kim smiled.

"I can feel both of yours." I lay her head on the shoulder of the Kim in front of me and say a silent prayer to a God I'm not sure I believe in. "I can't do it. I can't make myself to the release."

"I can. Shego I command you to release all your plasma in a full-body blast." I release all my energy and my hopes for the future. Moments later, my body existed, but my mind was clear. I know I'm free, and I still feel pregnant. I take that as a good sigh. A quick assessment shows that nothing in here survived all the equipment and our clothes are gone, but we were unhurt, then the ship listed as it lost thrust you grabbed my hand and pulled my along you glowed like an angle both of you with that blue aura. We reached the bay. There was one pod left and only two seats. I felt my self being pushed towards the seat, then a there was heart shattering scream. You were on the floor, blood covered the tummy bulge I scooped you up boarded the pod and left just moments before the platform slammed into the mountains.

There was so much blood I feared you had been shot. We landed, and you were taken directly to the infirmary

"There is nothing I can do" I panicked as I heard Ann's announcement "Shelia honey that's not what I meant. Yes, with the damage done, she should have died, but she won't please I have to know what happened" I rehearsed with Monique's help everything that happened. "Ok, then your turn in the scanner, let's take a look. The baby is sleeping comfortably. Kim was able to protect her absorbing levels of power that would have been dangerous for her if there had been only one. And probably saving her life now."

"What do you mean?"

When Kim divided if she had remerged within a few moments, she would not be in the condition she is now, but she would not have had the ability to save you and your baby from the blast. In this stage of development, an unborn child is changing very rapidly. They were apart long enough to develop enough divergence to be individuals and, therefore, could not remerge when the mother did. Kim is now carrying twins. It was the sudden expansion of the uterus and the displacement caused by it that did the damage. However, the now dangerous levels of plasma in her system are being rapidly absorbed to repair the damage. From what I understand of the story, this is the best possible outcome. Any other would have meant the loss of one or both of you.

I stayed with you, leaving only for what could not be done in the room with you. Watching your tummy as the now twins jockeyed for the limited space was fascinating (I have some recordings when your ready. It looks like something from one of those monster horror movies). After about two days, your mom came to me, "we have a bit of a situation, I don't think it will be a problem if we take care of it now."

"Ok, mom, what's up."

"Between the speed that she is using power and the bleed-off of the extra her body couldn't hold, she is going to need supplemental power boosts. Nothing substantial more like a near-constant low-level boost."

"How are my power levels?"

"Recovering nicely but for obvious reasons still low."

"I'll take care of this" your mother nodded and then left. After a moment, I softly called, knowing I would be heard, "Angie, please come in" in about two heartbeats she appeared. "I know you're assigned to Kim, but if it's to help her, can I get you to do something for me?"

"Miss Go, I would do anything to help either of you."

I just nodded and smiled my thanks "then can I get you to round up my brothers and send them here." She nodded, and with practiced efficiency, she turned and vanished down the hall.

"Please come in and have a seat" the last to arrive was my oldest brother, and he seemed unusually under-confident to the point of nerviness. Come to think it Mego was a little jumpy too. "Alright, you guys, what's up.

The older two just got more fidgety "cowards one of the twins said" and just shook his head

The other looked at their sister, "we told them about you and dad and how Kim got sick in the first place."

"Is it true" Hego sounded miserable. Maybe Kim was right, and they didn't know.

"I don't know exactly what they told you, but the child I lost as a teen was dads, yes. Kim's sickness was caused by being infected with our powers, yes. And it looks like I owe you a partial apology. Part of the reason I was so mad at you was because I thought you knew. Apparently, I was wrong. There are other things I am still mad about, but for that part, I am sorry."

The twins got up and came and hugged their sister "what can we do to help" they said in stereo.

"Thank you two. Did you tell them," nodding at the older two" about her dependency on our power and how while not as effective you were able to substitute while I was gone?" they nod " then this is simple while she is healing she needs a constant low flow of power to keep her power levels viable. I have things I need to get done and can't be here all the time. It will mostly be my power that sustains her, but any time I am gone, I need one of you here with your power on high enough that you have the glow so she can pull from it."

Hego crumples to his knees in front of his sister "I know it is little and late, but if you will trust me with this I will take First watch" this was not the expected response from the big man

"Can you be trusted with this" the question was gentle but serious. The big man just nods. "Then I would be honored" it was a small step, but maybe this was hope for the future of their family

And of course, it's just my luck that first time you started to wake up was while I was out that day, I almost mowed over a dozen people racing back here. That was three days ago, it's been five since the rescue.

Still leaning back ageist her lover, lower back arched by the baby bump and head comfortably between Shego's breasts the young mother to be sighed, "and you have been busy again saving my ass, I am nothing but trouble to you."

"But it's such a cute ass" the dark hare flows around as she shook her head "you as usual miss the point. When I saved you in the woods, you had saved me first. By giving me a reason to live, you kept me from committing suicide in the storm. Thus making it possible for me to save you. This time they had what they wanted from me, and I was supposed to be terminated in twelve hours by slow and painful means. Once again, your timing in saving me is the only reason I could save you. Don't you ever think you're a burden to me, you are my reason to live!"

Rubbing her now bigger tummy Kim cocks her head to one side, "Eme, I don't look twice as big."

Shego bursts out laughing, all the stress and fear of the last several weeks pouring out in laughter and tears, "No, No, you don't. Your mom thinks you used some of Mego's power to readjust the babies to a more manageable and realistic level." Feeling the small body stiffen, "She also reassured me that there will be no residual effects from it. Our babies, all three of them are perfectly safe and healthy."

Turning in the embrace until the protruding baby bumps precluded further rotation. Looking up into her lover's eyes, "Eme Marry me." The plea was as simple as it was fervent.

"We discussed this, remember. I ask you, and you said yes."

"No, Eme, you misunderstand. I want you to be mine in every possible way before some other fiasco comes along." There is pleading in the younger woman's eyes that was much worse than the most devastating puppy dog pout. "Eme Will You Marry Me Now!"

Tears flowed from the desperation in her lover's voice "you are trapped here for another two days."

"Then bring the people here" Then, looking down, "and some clothes might be good."

Wrapping her arms around the still slim body, "Conditionally, I say yes." Kim raises her eyebrows, "I have to consult with your doctors if they say it's ok I'll send in the Wegos to keep you company while I get the others."

Shego returned an hour later to Kim teasing the twins seaming oblivious to the fact that that the blanket only coved to her hips, and she was nude above that. Instead of interfering Shego just listened to the conversation "I expect you to take responsibility after all the two of you will be a fathers soon" Kim was having fun with this, but apparently, the twins were as bewildered as there sister by this statement "you Know I am caring twins now?" they nodded " when I used your power the second child was created" Shego now knew where this came from and Kim did have a point " created by your power and while it wouldn't hold up in court that does kinda make her your child" the wonder in their eyes was magical. Shego wasn't sure if she wanted to laugh from the irony or cry from the emotion of the situation.

Just then one of the twins notest a bump moving across Kim's belly and reached out his hand and looked up "may I?" the wonder in his voice was magical in its self

"Alright you two up here, you are here to keep us alive the least I can do is introduce you to your daughter." The twins crawled up on either side of her, treating her as if she was made of glass, "you're not going to hurt us. Come on, you two place your heads here and here," touching the two spots on her abdomen. "Come on, you won't hurt me. Use me as a pillow and get to know them." They were laying in opposite directions both with their head on Kim's Tummy and an arm under her back one with their arms wrapped around the top of the tummy bulge the other the bottom surrounding their charges with a fierce protectiveness and Kim with one hand on each of their heads with a look of utter fondness in her eyes. The message sounded softly in her mind 'Eme you can come in,' and she did, quietly so as not to disturb the scene.

An hour later, Kim was dressed and sitting up in her bed (the wedding was agreed to, but Kim was still on bed rest) with Kim being attended to by the Tweebs and The Wegos. Shego ran a few last-minute errands. She returned with all the paperwork to make this league just as the first guest arrived. It was Hego. He was early and twitchy. "I have something to say, and I ask you to wait until I finish before you blast me."

Shego looked up from her seat next to Kim, "That Bad?"

Hego gave a Sheepish grin, "you have blasted me for less."

"Ok, I promise to reserve judgment until you're finished. Please continue the other guests will be arriving soon."

He took a quick look over his shoulder just to make sure, took a deep breath, and plunged on. "I still think this is wrong, and I feel I must say so." He was right. She had blasted him for less, but she had promised to wait. "However, recent Revelations have taught me that I have to live with other's decisions." It was all Shego could to not let her jaw drop open "I have disavowed the mayor as a family member. Therefore as the closest thing to a patriarch in this family, may I ask you both a few questions?" Stunned Both Shego and Kim just noded. "Ok, one, are you happy?" again they just nod "Two are you sure you know what you're doing?" again a nod "there is heavy outcry ageist both gays and metahumans, So Three can you and will you help each other through the backlash?" Again a nod, "and finally Sheila Ann Heartsgo do you love this woman."

Her voice is tinged with awe, but the conviction unmistakable "With all my heart."

Looking over at Kim "Do you Kimberly Ann Possible Love, my sister."

Her smile was shy as she looked over at her dark-haired lover, "Now and forever."

"Now I know you don't need or possibly even want it, but this union has my blessing," wrapping his huge arms around both girls in a hug, "Welcome to the family."

Standing and turning around he found his other brother and Mr. and Mrs. Possible standing there with smiles on their faces he blushed

Kim looked at Shego and shot her the thought ', and they said the age of miracles had passed' Shego coughed to cover her laugh

The room was crowded well beyond capacity with the guests even though it was just family and close friends. The service was short and to the point. When it was finished, the med staff hustled everyone out as soon as the couple was congratulated. The two were now alone.

"Eme, Thank you," she snuggled closer into her wife's arms 'wife' every time she even thought the word

it gave her warm fuzzies all over. Shego had offered to sleep in the cot where she had spent most of her time waiting for Kim to awake. Kim had refused. Even though the hospital bed was tiny at best and do to her current health restriction, she wasn't allowed to do anything. Kim had announced that she was not sleeping alone on her wedding night. So the five (two women three unborn children) were snuggled in for the night.

Placing a kiss behind Kim's Left ear (the only place she could reach in the confined space),"Let's see, you have made me a mother and a wife. There is every chance my brothers and I may be able to work things out. I now have a Mother and Father I love and trust, yours. A new set of brothers and your mom is giving us a new sibling. Let's see you get a father in law who should be in jail and brothers that while making progress are still jerks. I definitely got the better deal."

Kim laughed, "this is going to sound stupid, but thank you for trying to steal that nano tick. Without that, we may never have met."

Shego just chuckled "get some sleep" deep inside, she too was grateful to the blue oaf's blundering schemes.
