Arthur and Merlin were finally at the place where the cure was said to be found. They were exhausted but wanted to carry on to get there for the king. Camelot seemed more faraway than ever once they had got there. They looked around for something to come out a them but nothing came. That's weird! After that very long journey, this was it. There had to be something behind it.

"Maybe we should send the horses first." Merlin suggested.

"No! Let's go." Arthur said riding forward.

"Fine." Merlin sighed.

Merlin reluctantly followed Arthur into the cave. The cave seemed to go on forever. They stopped in their tracks when a rumble came from in front of them.

"What was that?" Merlin whispered.

"I don't know." Arthur responded drawing his sword.

"I'm going to stay behind you." Merlin said.

Arthur groaned but let Merlin do it. Falling out with Merlin right now wasn't the best idea so decided to just about deal with him.

The rumble became louder and louder as the two went further into the cave. Merlin shuddered as they went further. It was becoming very cold as they went further. Luckily they didn't bump into any birds or trees that moved though.

Back at the castle, Gwen, Morgana and the rest of the dungeon were waiting for Gaius. He was tending to the king since Morgana had concerns about his health.

"Maybe we should get out there." Morgana susgested.

"My lady?" Gwen responded.

"Maybe we should fight against the Saxons until Arthur and Merlin come back."

"How are we suppose to fight against them?"

"We've done it before."

"Years ago."

"We can do it again. We may need a few things before we do but I'm sure we can do it."

Gwen looked at the others. Their faces also looked concenered about this idea. Morgana was right though, if they fought against the Saxons they could keep them away from Uther and the throne.

"Alright." Gwen nodded.

Arthur and Merlin stopped. Right in front of them was a huge shadow, which looked like a griffin or maybe a huge rat. They didn't really know which but whatever it was, it was getting closer. Arthur took a step forward. Before Merlin could stop him, he had fallen through the floor and fell into a huge pile of leaves.

"Are you alright?" Merlin shouted down to Arthur.

"What does it look like?" Arthur shouted back.

"I'll come down." Merlin shouted again.

Merlin made his way carefully down to where Arthur was. Arthur got up and brushed himself off.

"No harm done." Arthur said looking back to where he fell down.

"Well we can't get up there again. Better find another way round." Arthur started.

"At least we don't have to find out what that shadow was." Merlin smiled.

Arthur turned round to face Merlin. Merlin took the smile off his face when he saw Arthurs face. Arthur put his sword back and walked towards another opening in the cave.

"It's getting darker." Merlin said stating the obvious.

"Well get a light then." Arthur answered back.

"Why don't you for once?" Merlin finally spoke up.

"What was that?!" Arthur said putting his hands on his hips.

"Nothing." Merlin gave in.

The two carried on through the cave with Merlin getting a torch to see where they were going. Another rumble came through the caves, they looked at each other and carried on a bit more slowly.

"There it is!" Arthur finally shouted as the cure came into view.

"Arthur wait!" Merlin shouted as Arthur run to grab the cure to take back home.

Arthur was stopped in his tracks as arrows came out of the walls and nearly hit him. Luckily they all missed and Arthur went back to Merlin.

"We need a stratergy then." Arthur said.

"I told you so." Merlin smiled.

"Yeah alright don't rub it in." Arthur moaned.

Merlin and Arthur looked across the floor where Arthur had just stepped. There wasn't any code or anything but there was obviously someway of getting across without being hit by an arrow.

"You can go first Merlin." Arthur said.

"Why me?!" Merlin nearly shouted.

"Because you more brave than I am." Arthur said shrugging.

"You don't mean that." Merlin said shaking his head.

Merlin went to have a closer look at the floor.

Morgana and Gwen were looking for weapons they could use against the Saxons. The others in the dungeon were looking elsewhere. Gaius was still looking after the king so wasn't available.

"My lady?" Gwen asked Morgana.

"What is it Gwen" Morgana asked her still looking for weapons they could use.

"Do you think Arthur and Merlin are alright?"

"Of course they are."

"It's just, when they come home they might have to deal with the Saxons."

"Well that's why we have to fight the Saxons until they get back."

Gwen wanted to say more but Morgana was concentrated on something so didn't want to disturb her more.
