Something about staring down a giant mechanical monster just rubbed Angel the wrong way, especially since she was supposed to be the one to bring the freak of nature back to life. The Oracion Seis had always supported Midnight, their leader, when he came up with his crazy schemes for the simple reason that they always believed that in his own twisted way, he was just trying to do what was best for them.
But now it was clear to see that he had lost himself in his own darkness and was just a twisted husk of a man. A cracked version of his former self. It might have been sad if he hadn't broke all of his comrades in the process.
Midnight's booted foot pressed hard against Angel's tailbone, encouraging her to move forwards and breaking her away from her thoughts which were her only solace from this nightmare she had been plunged into. Pain radiated down her legs from the impact and with her ankles being tightly bound by Midnight's shadows, the kick pushed her down to the floor instead. The sound of her impacting with the gravelled floor resonated through the entirety of the cave.
Peeking upwards through her grease slicked hair she was met with the the view of the robot's glassy vacant eyes. Why the hell were they wanting to resurrect this thing again? What was its purpose?
"I bet you're wondering what this beautiful creature is going to do for us? You need to wait and see my little fallen angel. It's going to light the path for us."
Midnight's voice was nothing more than a whisper, tickling her senses and scaring her stiff. The sound of his trousers being undone gave her an inkling of what he was going to do next. His cold fingers pushed up her ragged dress so it sat high on her hips, revealing her most private area to him. Not that he cared for others privacy. Midnight's soul was black and he had defiled her with his evil so many times now that she could find no redemption for herself.
Nobody was coming to save her and she couldn't blame them. This was her punishment for her life of wrong doings. As he planted himself deep inside her, her face dug into the hard floor with every thrust, her tears staining the monsters feet.
"You're nothing. Nothing but my toy. Don't ever forget that."
Soft snores filled the carriage as the Fairy Tail mages slept away the ride. Lucy counted herself lucky that it was a day that her contract with Lyra enabled her to call on her for one of her magical lullabies. Despite only being a musician/poet in the celestial world, her songs had a soothing effect on any dragon slayer and encouraged them to fall into a deep slumber. So after the vomit... incident, she had instantly called on her spirit to sit in the already way over stocked carriage.
Not long after, all the slayers had slipped into a blissful sleep, where the horrors of motion sickness couldn't hurt them. Cobra always tried to hide this horrendous weakness from others but he couldn't help but seek out her touch. His head was resting on her thighs as he let out cute little snores. Her nimble fingers knotted their way into his head of auburn hair and massaged his scalp. Whenever she did this, he let out purrs similar to the ones Happy made.
"He's like a docile house cat now isn't he Luce?" Erza's eyes were soft as she watched Lucy soothe her sleeping dragon. Nodding, she was inclined to agree with her. It was hard to believe that this person was once a feared member of a dark guild who caused so much pain to so many people.
Nuzzling into her abdomen, Cobra inhaled deeply and let out a happy sigh. "I love you." A smile tickled her lips but before she could respond, Natsu rolled off his seat onto the floor of the cabin and let out a sleepy laugh. "I love you too baby."
Slamming a hand over her lips, Lucy desperately tried to hide the painful laughter that was clawing up her throat. Was there a little bromance happening here without her knowledge? "I think you've got some competition there." Erza said sarcastically as she nudged the fire dragon slayer with the tip of her boot.
Glancing out of the carriage window, a large city began to appear on the edge of the horizon. "I think we're nearly there." Lucy murmured to herself. Cobra's hand reached up at tickled her cheek with his rough fingertips. "I'll keep you safe." She glanced down at his sleepy face and quickly poked the end of his nose. "And I will keep you safe." Leaning down, Lucy pressed a soft kiss against his lips. It was a promise between the two of them.
"I don't know how I feel about this." Gajeel said gruffly, gesturing to the two people holding hands in front of him. Laxus nodded his head in agreement, gesturing towards the interlocked hands wildly. "It just doesn't seem right. Why do they have to be touching."
Lucy glanced backwards at her two adopted brothers with a twinkle in her eye. "We'll be doing more than touching later boys." Cobra choked out a laugh at her flirtatious tone, his hand slowly trailed down her back to her perky backside. Instead of her soft flesh under his palm, he was met with cool steel slicing into his already scarred skin. "Don't think I won't cut off your fingers the next time you do something so indecent to my friend in public." Erza's stern voice cut through the air. Typical.
"No problem red. Just you know, didn't know that touching my fated other was illegal." His tone was light but the frustration was real. It felt like no matter where he and Lucy were, someone was always there ready to get in between them. It wasn't like he were unable to control his urges but it had been a LONG time since he had been able to...do that with a woman that the lines were blurring. Especially when someone as unbelievably beautiful as Lucy Heartfilia was at his side and he could do nothing but look?
He scowled at the requip mage as she flicked her long scarlet hair over her silver plated shoulder and marched Gajeel and Laxus ahead. Her sword was dragging against the pebbled as she walked onwards. "I'll keep this out just in case you need reminding that i'm not playing."
"Yeah, like you're capable of joking. Stupid Titania." Cobra mumbled under his breath as he started at the deep gash now on the palm of his hand. A soft glow surrounded the wounded flesh and he could feel it slowly stitching itself back together. "Don't mind her." Wendy spoke quietly as she made quick work of healing his injury. "Everyone is just a bit overprotective of Lucy. Can you blame them?"
Wendy nodded forwards at where the fairy tail mages were walking. Lucy's smiling face made his heart soar. Natsu had her at his side, his eyes constantly flicking at the surrounding area as they moved. Now that he was paying attention, he could see that Lucy was situated in the middle of all of the mages.
They were unconsciously protecting her.
"This is love Cobra."
All he could do was nod. It was love. Pure love. He was lucky to even bare witness to it, let alone be a part of it.
