Weiss awakes to Lucy snuggling her, and purring.
She smiles tiredly, and pulls her closer, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Blake watches them with a smile, and decides to let them sleep in today. It's the weekend after all, and on top of that...
Ruby throws open the window, letting cold air, and a few snowflakes fly into the room, "Ah! That crisp winter air!"
"Ruby! Shhhh!" Weiss scolds her, eyes half shut.
"C'mon Weiss, what kid gets all fussed about waking up on Christmas Eve? Team Juniper is throwing a party back in there room, and I wanna get there before Nora drinks all the Eggnog."
"Well go then...I'm staying."
Ruby is gone in a flash of Rose petals, and Lucy shivers from the cold wind.
Weiss groans and pulls her close "That dolt..."
Lucy mumbles incoherently, and snuggles under the covers next to Weiss.
...
Smoke facepalms, "Jaune, you're not a sell-out, or a sucker. I just SERIOUSLY think you're the best choice to be Santa."
"But why not Ren..or Adam...or YOU!" He grumbles.
"I'm done!" Pyrrha steps out of the bathroom in a new costume. It's a red dress ending about midway down her thighs, and is fuzzy to the touch. Around her shoulders is a red piece that sits like a miniature cape, ending halfway down her biceps. She wears long red gloves that reach up past her elbows, stokings of the same color, costume reading glasses, and a Santa hat with her hair in her usual ponytail.
She gives a twirl, "So? Do I make a good Mrs. Clause?"
Jaune blushes "Wow...you look beautiful! I mean...uh...yeah its okay."
Pyrrha smiles, "Thank you Jaune. Are you going to be Santa?" She chuckles, "just us two in a one-horse open sleigh?"
Smoke clears his throat, "Actually we couldn't get a horse so we went with the next best thing."
Spike walks in the room wearing costume reindeer antlers, a flashing red nose on a loop of elastic going around his head, and a harness covered with sleigh bells, "Hey guys!"
Weiss deadpans "...You look even more of an idiot than usual."
Cinder walks in, "I brought the sleigh, you put we heels on the bottom I note."
Smoke nods, "No doping in ruining the school rugs. Better to get changed Santa!"
Lucy throws her arms in the air, "I wanna be an elf!"
"Why?" Weiss frowns "You actually want to be involved in this?'
"Mm-Hm!"
Spike smiles, "And I got the perfect thing for you to get involved too Weiss!" He rummages around in his quills.
"I refuse." She glares.
Spike pulls a wrapped present out of his hair, and it's a BIG one. He sets it on the floor carefully, and it's taller than Lucy. "Merry Christmas Weiss!"
She eyes it suspiciously "What...is it..."
Spike just smiles as he pulls an Elf costume out of his hair, handing it to Lucy who runs to the second bathroom to change.
"Ruby...better you than me...open this in case it's some kind of trick!" Weiss glares
Ruby shrugs as Spike looks hurt, and the leader of Team Ruby rips the package open. When she opens the box she gasps, "Oh my..."
Weiss is automatically on guard "What, Ruby?!"
"Weiss, come look at this!"
Inside is a staff with a silver snowflake on the top. Folded neatly beside a new pair of shoes like the ones Weiss is so fond of is a white dress with snowflakes embroidered into the fabric. Ruby pulls out a cube wooden box, and opens it to show a tiara made of gleaming silver, designed to represent snowflakes in the wind.
"...What is THIS?" She questions, dumbfounded.
Spike smiles hopefully, "Well... It's for you... I thought you liked snow, so now you're a snow queen... Merry Christmas?"
"I...um...thank...you?"
Spike smiles brightly, "You're welcome!"
Yang peeks in, "Wow... How did you afford all this?"
Spike reaches into his hair, and pulls out a solid gold ring large enough to wear loosely on your wrist, "We use these for money back on Möbius, and a jeweler went nuts when I sold him one."
Yang smirks at Smoke, "So THAT'S how you pay the bills!"
Smoke shrugs, "Gotta watch the economy though, or gold will drop in value BIG time."
"But...why?" Weiss whispers "You don't even...know me...well enough to...get me..."
Spike scratches his head, "True, I had to guess on the dress size, and it might be a little big... I figured having to make it smaller was better than having it too small in the first place."
Weiss glares at him "I swear...if you're hinting that I'm a lady of large size...I will hurt you!"
He shakes his head wildly, "Nonononononono! I'm just saying I might have gotten it too large, but if so we can just have it tailored down!"
"Good! Idiot." She narrows her eyes as a warning.
He wilts under her gaze, and goes to pick up a huge red bag of presents. Blake picks up the dress, and holds it to Weiss's front, "Not bad, looks like he got the size right. Same with the shoes."
Weiss nods and takes the dress from her, heading to the bathroom to change. "We'll see..."
Blake steps out of the bathroom in an elf outfit with ears sewn onto the hat that hides her ears.
Ruby takes one look, and starts laughing. Blake blushes, "Excuse me for getting into the holiday spirit..."
Weiss slips on the dress with ease, and stares at herself in the mirror "It's...wow..."
It hugs her flatteringly, and it feels warm so she doesn't doubt she could wear it in snow.
She steps out of the bathroom and slips on the shoes as well. She has to admit it doesn't look half bad.
Ruby is holding the tiara, and puts it on Weiss as Yang passes her the staff. Spike looks over, and stares dumbfounded. "So beautiful..."
Weiss fights back a blush, and pointedly ignore his comment "It's..decent...I guess."
Smoke gives a low whistle, "Hello Ice Queen."
Yang elbows him, and he rubs his arm, watching Yang as she heads to the bathroom.
Weiss scoffs "Shut up, you idiot! I have a NAME."
"Yeah!" Spike frowns at Smoke, hoping for brownie points.
"I don't need you to stick up for me!" She glares at Spike "I'm not a child."
"I know," he says meekly.
Blake smirks, "Spike, just saddle up."
"Look at me Big Sister!" Lucy skips over in her elf outfit.
Weiss picks her up, grinning "Well don't you look adorable!"
"Tee-hee-hee!" She smiles, "Imma ride in the present bag, and pass the gifts to Santa!"
Weiss sighs "If that's what you want..."
"Wooowww," Lucy looks her over. "You're so pretty!"
"You think so? Thank you." Weiss smiles "Not nearly as pretty as YOU though."
Lucy blushes deeply.
"Lucy...how did you celebrate Christmas before?"
Lucy thinks, "Well, Sifu went with some others to rip a tree out of the ground, and set it up behind the dojo. Then we decorated it with whatever we could find, and exchange presents that we made."
"That's better than nothing I guess..." Weiss thinks back to her Christmases "Better than being alone...by far."
Lucy hugs her with a moan, "no alone more."
Weiss cuddles her closer "I know...not anymore."
Ruby snaps a picture of them, and then as Yang steps out dressed as an angel she takes a picture of her too. "Our first Christmas at Beacon..."
Weiss smiles "So it is...wow...better make it the best first Christmas ever then."
"I will be the best reindeer that I can possibly be," Spike says as he gets in front of the sleigh. Then he looks around, "Where Santa?"
Weiss slaps her hand over her mouth as Jaune steps out of the other bathroom in his outfit. "...I feel ridiculous..." he mumbles.
Pyrrha smiles, and sits on the sleigh, "Our surprise for the Christmas Ball is almost ready... Where did Ren and Nora go?"
"To buy more Eggnog," Ruby mutters.
"Here's hoping they don't drink it all on the way back here.." Weiss mutters.
Adam steps in the room, "Sorry I'm late."
Weiss points a finger at him "Make HIM dress up!"
Smoke strokes his chin, "I would, but I couldn't think of anything... Wait, where's Angel?"
"I'M HERE!" She too bursts into the room with a grin "Merry Christmas!"
Adam smiles, "Merry Christmas Angel."
Spike starts doing stretches as Pyrrha pats the seat next to her while smiling at Jaune. Blushing profusely, Jaune carefully sits next to her "So...um...Merry Christmas?"
"Yes it is," Smoke stands behind them, holding mistletoe over their heads. Yang giggles, and gets a camera ready.
Jaune does a double take "Wha...what's that?" He blushes...he knows EXACTLY what that is... "Smoke...wh-what are you doing..."
With a gentle smile Pyrrha takes Jaune's head in her hands, and leans in with a kiss on his cheek.
"Uhhhhhh..." He stares dumbfounded as his blush deepens "Pyrrha...I...nevermind."
She smiles, and hugs his arm as she puts a head on his shoulder. Smoke hands him a fishing pole with a Twinkie on the other end of it, "You may need this to steer."
"...Why?" He frowns.
It dangles in front of Spike, and his eyes lock on it, "...WAIT FOR ME!" He starts running down the hall, pulling the sleigh behind him.
Jaune's startled screams echo through the hallways, and Angel can't help but crack up laughing. "Gosh...that's about the funniest thing I've seen all week!"
Pyrrha quickly adjusts the cream filled sponge cake above Spike's head. He stops, looking around for it seconds before getting run over by the sleigh.
Jaune grimaces "You think he's okay?"
Cinder pulls the sleigh backwards off Spike, and then picks him up. When Spike doesn't respond she slaps him across the face, and he perks right up. He blinks, "Who's there?"
Cinder looks up at Jaune, "He's fine."
"You just...slapped him..."
Cinder blinks at Jaune, "Yes I did."
"...Why? That was..mean.." Jaune frowns.
"And your point?" She sets Spike on his feet, "I practically raised this lump, I know how he ticks."
Spike smiles lucidly, "tick tock tick tock tick tock tick..."
"Well...as long as he's okay I guess.."
Smoke puts a blindfold on Spike, "Let's try this again."
"WHEEEE!" Lucy jumps in the present bag.
"LUCY!" Weiss scolds her "What are you doing!"
"But Big Sister Imma elf! I'm gonna help give the presents!"
"...Fine...just be careful." She sighs
Smoke sighs, and sits on Pyrrha's over side, "Pass me the pole Jaune, I'm driving."
Jaune sighs and passes him the pole "Fine..."
Smoke dangles the snack, and Spike perks, sniffing the air, "PEEK-A-BOO, I SMELL YOU!" He takes a big whiff in the direction of the Twinkie, and starts walking, pulling the sleigh slower behind him.
Jaune grins as he watches "This is entertaining..."
Lucy waves, "Big Sister, hop on!"
Sighing heavily, Weiss steps up near Lucy, and cracks a small smile "Merry Christmas, little sister.."
Spike sings as he starts to trot after the snack, the bells on his harness jingling with each step, "jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg! Batmobile lost a wheel, and the Joker got away! HEY!"
Weiss rolls her eyes "He is...immature..."
"Only when he wants to be," Cinder says, jogging beside the sleigh.
"Which is every minute of every day?"
"Pretty much, though Smoke made a bet with me that he could get Spike to be serious for at least one hour tonight." Cinder shrugs, "I have my doubts, and generally speaking it's never a good idea to bet against Smoke, but I accepted out of curiosity."
"Well...if Christmas is ruined it's entirely YOUR fault."
"Silly big sis, no one can ruin Christmas! Not even the Grinch!"
"Oh really?" Weiss smirks
"Really really!" She smiles, and dives out of sight into the bag.
Weiss can't help but laugh at her innocence "That's good then..." Cinder smiles as well.
Smoke calls over his shoulder, "Hold on back there, we're coming up on stairs! Going down!"
Weiss rolls her eyes "What exactly are we even dressing up for anyway.."
"Ospin threw a dance for the school," Smoke explains, pulling a lever to retract the wheels so the sleigh slides smoothly down the stairs. Meanwhile Spike tumbles down them, laughing the whole way.
"...I don't dance..." Weiss folds her arms stubbornly.
"We'll see," Smoke says, you can almost see the wheels turning in his conniving little head.
She narrows her eyes "Don't..you...dare."
"Dare what?" He looks back innocently as he pops the wheels back out.
"You know what...moron!"
"Nope, this time I'm in the dark, for who can fathom the mind of a woman?" He has a glint in his eyes as he goes back to driving.
Weiss growls "I swear...I will hurt you.."
He starts humming "What is Love," by Haddaway as he ignores her.
"Your funeral..." She threatens with a glare.
"Whoa boy!" Smoke pulls a brake lever, and lets Spike have the Twinkie. Then Smoke turns, "Next flight of stairs takes us out into the Ballroom. Anyone who wants to get off, now is the time."
Weiss steps off "I'm not going anywhere else in this ridiculous thing! Lucy..come on!"
"But I supposed to help Santa..."
Blake gets on, adjusting her hat, "Well this could actually be fun."
Smoke starts dragging Spike away, "Hey Cinder, mind giving them a hand? Amy, and I are getting this Nimrod presentable."
Cinder nods, and with Knuckles she starts pushing the sled from behind.
Weiss sighs heavily. "These people...are not normal..."
Adam raises an eyebrow, "I don't believe they were said they were."
"But even the word 'weird' doesn't quite cover it.."
Adam shrugs, and watches them go.
Pyrrha clings a little tighter to Jaune, "You know how to steer this... Right?"
"Uhhhh..I think..." He blushes, distracted by the close proximity
She closes her eyes with a whimper as the sled tilts, "I hate roller coasters..."
Jaune smiles "Dont worry Pyrrha...I wont let anything happen!" She holds on tighter as the sled starts to glide down the stairs. Bellow students see them coming, and part a gap for the sled.
Jaune guides the sled through the students "Watch out!" Phyrra gives out a tiny squeal, and since the wheels are retracted again the sled only skids a few yards before stopping in the middle of the crowd.
Jaune laughs "That wasn't too bad was it?"
Pyrrha still shivers. Hard to believe this girl who didn't think twice about attacking a giant scorpion is freaked out over downhill sled ride.
Jaune pats her arm "Hey...I'm here Pyrrha..."
She nods, and lets out a shaky breath. Blake taps his shoulder, "Santa, here's your list." She hands him a scroll, and starts helping Lucy look through the presents.
Jaune blushes "Seriously? I have a list? Is Cardin on here..."
Lucy giggles, "Yup, and I got him something way better than coal!"
Speak of the devil Jaune sees Cardin walking over with a smirk.
Jaune glances at her "And that is...?"
"Hey Johnny boy!" Cardin walks over, and tosses a small package in his lap. It's dark blue, and about as big as one's fist.
"What's this?" Jaune looks at it suspiciously.
"NOT milk and cookies," Cardin says. "Merry Christmas."
"Here ya go!" Lucy hands him a square package in red wrapping paper. Cardin takes it, and walks off with a nod to Jaune.
Pyrrha eyes the little package, "...Should I...?"
"I'll do it." Jaune says, taking the package with shaky hands and begins to unwrap it. Inside is a small box, and inside... a container of armor polish with a note taped to it. Jaune frowns "What the..." He takes the note and begin to read.
Hey Jaune,
That took guts out in the forest the other day. You're not exactly an A Class warrior yet, but you're alright. This here will help keep your armor from getting too damaged in battle, and keep it looking new. Don't use it all in one place though.
Good luck,
Cardin Winchester
Jaune blinks "Since when is Cardin so nice?!"
Pyrrha checks the note, and grins.
Cinder chuckles, "Even to one as dishonorable as Cardin, a life-debt is not easily ignored."
"Does this mean he's going to stop picking on me?"
"Most likely," Cinder replies. "Just goes to show he has a soul after all. Wait... Lucy, what did you get him?"
Lucy presses the tips of her index fingers together awkwardly, "Um..."
"Well?' Jaune smiles
Across the room Cardin is opening his present as one of his teammates leans over it. Suddenly a boxing glove on the end of a spring erupts from the open box, and knocks out the teammate cold. Cardin laughs, and gives them a thumbs-up.
Jaune raises his eyebrow "...What if that had got Cardin?!"
Lucy shrugs, and dives back into the bag. Jaune shudders at the thought "Okay...who next Mrs Santa!" He smirks, handing the list to Pyrrha
Pyrrha scans the list, and starts helping Jaune call over people to receive their presents. Yang smiles as she sips some grape juice, and then coughs on it when she glances at the top of the stairs.
Jaune glances at her "Hey, Yang! You okay?"
She points, "Uh... Weiss?"
Coming down the stairs is a boy in a white tux, his light hair slicked back neatly. Snowflakes decorate the sleeves of his jacket that gradually go blue toards the ends of his sleeves. He carries a glass cane, stylishly made to resemble an icicle. All in all he looks quite sharp.
But those silver eyes give him away.
Weiss frowns "Is that really..."
Spike waves calmly with a smile, and nods to Weiss as he walks over, "Did I miss the party? The reindeer gag earlier was meant to entertain Lucy." He offers Weiss the white Rose in his jacket pocket, "Jack Frost, at your service."
She blinks, utterly in awe. "Uhhhh...I...what?"
He smiles, taking her hand, and putting the flower in it. Then he touches his lips to her knuckles for a moment before straightening with a smile.
Yang is gob-smacked, "Who are you, and what have you done with Spike?"
Spike just laughs, and says, "Save me a dance please?" Then he goes to check out the buffet table.
"Yang...what the hell was that?"
"I. Have. No. Idea," Yang says.
Weiss frowns at the flower in her hand "..The world is going to end soon I'm sure."
Yang crosses her arms, "So he can be mature, doesn't mean he suddenly grew a brain."
Weiss sighs "Why me..."
"Hey, it might not be so bad," Yang reasons. "Why not go talk to him?"
"... about what?"
"I dunno, just talk. Once you get the ball rolling it'll just keep going."
Weiss sighs, actually a little nervous "Fine...see you later..."
Yang waves, and goes to mingle.
Spike is inspecting the buffet, and picks up a tiny sausage with bread baked around it. "Yum, pig in a blanket."
"Uhhhh...hi..." Weiss wanders over to him
Spike turns to her, "Hey Weiss, having fun?"
"Uh...yeah...I guess so. Are you?"
He shrugs, "Not really my usual scene, but I'm trying."
"Same here...I never go to parties."
Spike looks around, "...Wanna grab some food, and head to that balcony then?"
"Sure." Weiss nods "If you like."
Spike looks around the table, and gets a small plate of ribs before headed for the outside.
"So...are you going to be attending the school as a student?" Weiss questions.
He shrugs, "Maybe... I don't know if I could keep up though. I haven't been in school since third grade."
"So you have no education?!"
"Not really, since I was a kid all I learned how to do was fight," Spike says as he uses a knife to cut himself a rib. "...Okay, how the hell am I supposed to eat this without making a mess?! I like this suit..."
Weiss sighs "My advice...DON'T eat them...that kinda stuff is always messy."
He sighs, and scoots them aside, "So yeah, no education, no book smarts, not even two brain cells to rub together." he shrugs, "Doesn't bother me, I'm already the best as what I do... well, almost. I'll never get better than Cinder."
"Well I'M better than her." she smirks, chucking "So you can beat her...but never me."
"Why would I want to?" He looks at her, "Call it instinct, but when I see you... I see someone who was hurt for a long time, and like me you're just barely starting to come back from that hurt."
Weiss glares at him "You don't know anything about me!"
"Nope," he says with a smirk. "Like I said, It's just a feeling of mine."
"Well your feelings are WRONG! And could not be MORE WRONG!"
"Oh yeah? Then how did a rich girl like you end up with battle scars?" He traces a finger over his left eye, "And you don't have to try covering anything up by getting angry. I get enough of that from Cinder."
"I'm not doing anything!" She absentmindedly touches her scar "And that's none of your business!"
Spike sets his cane down, and summons his sword, "Remember me telling Nora that my sword is literally my soul?"
"Yeah?"
He leans his sword against the stone railing, and lets it go. "How does mine look to you?"
"...What?" She blinks "All I see is a sword with a red blade..."
He nods, "It wasn't always like that. It used to be so white that looking at it would hurt your eyes."
"Why did you change it then?"
"I didn't want it to change... it just changed as I did, because of..." He bites his lip, and shakes his head, "My life is no Christmas Story..."
Weiss frowns "Don't let it ruin your Christmas then..."
He nods, and his sword vanishes, "Right, another time then. For now let's just say while I don't know a lot, I know more about hurt, and suffering than anyone... That's why you caught my eye. I've been deeper in despair than you could imagine, and I just want to help you get to a happy place that you could never fall from."
"I'm happy right now...why wouldn't I be?"
He smiles, "Yeah... good point. You've got the best friends in the world, and someone you can count on to give you an honest smile... Not much else you could ask for, huh?"
"Well...I wouldn't know about that...but I've learnt to be happy with what I have..." Weiss sighs, and looks out into the distance.
Spike nods, "But there's always something missing, that one thing that when you have near perfect paradise that you need to make it complete. No clue what it could be though, just that it's missing."
"Missing...huh..." She nods, understanding "A childhood would be mine...that's why I want Lucy to act her age...because I never got to."
"I feel you," Spike says. "I guess I had one up until my seventh birthday, that's when I ran away."
"Why'd you do that?"
"My parents were arguing about getting a divorce, and I thought I was the cause... So I left." He shrugs, "Dumb, I know but I was only seven."
"Well...I'm sorry you went through that...but if it made you happy..then great."
"Well I'm happy now, mostly, so it's all good," Spike says as he leans on the railing.
"What would make you happier?"
He looks back at her with a smile, "...A dance with a beautiful girl?"
"Well I'm sure that would make every guy happy. Why don't you-oh..." She blinks "You mean...me?! WHAT!?"
He rubs his neck, "I mean... If it's not too much trouble..."
"...I don't dance."
Spike shrugs, "Well Cinder said for wielder a of the sword, fighting is a lot like dancing... We could improvise..."
"I never said I CAN'T dance, I said I DON'T." She smirks "Why me anyway? There are many other girls back inside."
He stands, and offers a hand, "Well, none of them are you."
"The others would probably say that's a good thing." She laughs, and takes his hand.
He kisses her knuckles, "May I have this dance?"
"...You may..." She blushes.
Spike leads her back inside as "Love Story" by Taylor Swift starts playing.
Weiss can't quite believe what's happening...a BOY...has asked HER...to DANCE?! She wonders what her father would say if he saw her.
Spike raises the hand holding hers, and intertwines their fingers with a soft smile.
"Listen...thank you for the dress...and I'm sorry if we got off on the wrong foot."
Spike shrugs as he puts his other hand on the small of her back, "Don't mind me, I'm just a lovesick idiot." He spins slowly with her on the spot for a moment before they start moving with the other dancers.
She forces back a blush at the close proximity...and the feel of his hand "Lovesick...?"
Spike nods, "I'm no casual flirt like Smoke. I say what I mean, and mean what I say."
"But if you lived with him so long how could you NOT pick up his habits?"
"Some things I picked up on," he admits. "Others I didn't care for. I don't like how he flirts with every girl he sees. I'm more a guy into commitment."
"That's good to hear." Weiss nods "Have you ever dated anyone before?"
"Well... No, actually not." He spins her with their hands touching over her head, and then he pulls her back to him, "So more than likely I'll mess up at some point."
"Everyone messes up..." She shrugs "It's...part of life I guess. I was never allowed to mess up."
Spike pauses halfway through the second spin, and takes her other hand. Then he pulls her backwards to him, his hold on her hands making her arms cross over her chest. "Well I can do enough of that for two people... I gotcha covered."
"Thanks," She laughs "I was raised to be a perfect young lady...an heiress..."
He tilts his head, "A hairless what?"
"No, an heir-ess." She smirks "Not HAIRLESS. I inherit my father's Dust company when he passes away.."
He blinks, and they continue to dance, "Dust? Like the stuff that collects on old stuff?"
"No...this is much more precious. Only skilled people can utilise it as a weapon."
His eyes brighten, "Ah, I see."
"It takes years to master.." She raises her eyebrow "Most people struggle..."
"But you use it, huh?" He twirls her before they resume the dance.
"Yes. And I have been doing since I was old enough to hold my weapon."
He closes his eyes with a laugh, "We have so much alike, yet we're literally worlds apart..."
"Well when you all go back it'll be nice and peaceful around here." She smirks.
She feels the grip on her hand loosen a bit though his face stays smiling.
"So when DO you plan on going back?"
"...Not sure... Möbius is a beautiful place though, you might like it... For sightseeing."
"Yeah maybe. But generally I don't have TIME for such leisurely activities. I have to train..."
"...Maybe I could stay to help? If you can get on-par with me then anyone else is small potatoes compared to me."
"On par?" Weiss glares "You obviously have no idea of my abilities!"
"And I'm just glad you don't know mine," Spike replies.
"Why!"
"...Not on Christmas," he says. "Please, just not on Christmas."
"Fine!" She frowns "Why are you acting weird..."
"Because... Because there's more to me than an idiot, and this Choir Boy in front of you... And I'm not proud of it."
"Then shut up and change the subject..." Weiss smirks "I'm not a patient girl, y'know."
He smirks, and then puts his forehead to hers. She blushes at the contact, and averts her eyes from his. "What are you doing.."
"Showing all the affection I can that won't get me slapped," he says with a laugh in his voice.
"Affection?" She frowns "Slow down! We haven't long since met!"
"People show affection with a handshake, though not that much," Spike reasons.
Weiss pulls back from him and sticks out her hand "Shake my hand then!"
He narrows his eyes, "Am... Am I making you uncomfortable?"
"Wha..." She blushes "I...that's..none of your business! Now if we're done I have more important matters to attend to!"
He smiles, and softly takes her hand, pressing his lips to her hand. "Then I bid you goodnight, and Merry Christmas."
"Y-Yeah...Merry Christmas...whatever." She blushes, and snatches her hand away, dashing off to find Ruby. Or...anyone...
Adam stands beside Angel as they watched the whole scene. "I dot believe it..." Adam shakes his head, "I just don't believe it."
"Why?" She raises her eyebrow at him with a smirk.
"In all the time we've known her how often has Weiss blushed?"
"That is...a valid point." Angel agrees with a nod "Maybe she was just a little warm?"
It's Adam's turn to raise an eyebrow as he looks at her sceptically.
"Well...I-I don't know!" She blushes "I'm just suggesting..."
He shrugs and pulls her by the waist so he can hug her from behind. "Merry Christmas Angel."
"Merry Christmas to you too!" She grins "Did you celebrate when you were with the White Fang?"
"Just with Blake," Adam replies. "We had a quiet meal, and a gift exchange."
"That's better than no Christmas at all! It must have been nice for the two of you to bond like that."
He nods, "And now it's better to have more people to share it with."
"Of course!" She smiles brightly "You have everyone here!"
He nods with a happy sigh, "Ready to open your present?"
"Present?" She blinks "From whom?"
"Me," Adam says, reaching into a pocket.
"You didn't need to do that!" Angel blushes, "I don't expect anything..."
"I know, that's why I did... But not much." He reaches into a pocket.
"You shouldn't have...I have all I ever wanted in this place..."
He pulls out a fist, and then opens it to show a hand-carved wooden Angel.
Angel blinks as she stares in awe "Where did you get that..."
"I'm rather handy with a whittling knife." He smirks.
"You did this?!" She gasps, and fingers it gently "It's beautiful...you're very skilled! At everything it seems.."
"Not really," he chuckles. "It's just a little something I taught myself to pass my free time."
"You taught yourself...you're full of surprises! It's amazing!"
He smiles, "Merry Christmas, my Angel."
"Thank you...Merry Christmas to you too." She giggles "Did you carve one for Blake too?"
He shakes his head, "No." He looks over to where Blake is happily passing out presents. "She seems to have what she always wanted, I can't top that."
Angel smiles "I guess not...perhaps now would be a good time to give you my present?"
He raises an eye brow with a smile.
"Close your eyes.."
He does...
She leans close to him and whispers "Truth be told...I was unsure of what to get you...but I thought of something that might make you see how I feel about you...more than a materialistic gift ever could..."
She blushes deeply and presses her lips to his, putting all her emotion into that one kiss...
He inhales slowly, deeply through his nose, and takes a hold of her by the shoulders, turning his head to deepen the kiss.
She gently rests her hands on his chest and smiles, all worry of him rejecting her gone. Adam takes a deep breath, and slips his tongue into her mouth. Blushing profusely, her own tongue moves to dance with his as she shivers slightly.
They enjoy a full five minutes of passion before they're forced to break for air. She giggles, cheeks flushed "Of course, if you would prefer a materialistic gift then I can try and find you something..."
He shakes his head with a tilt in his own cheeks. "It's perfect, thank you."
"I'm glad..." She smiles "But just in case you forget me I did get you this.." She holds up a very tiny crystal object by a piece of string, no bigger than a coin...a pair of angel wings. "I thought you could tie it onto your sheath or something, I don't know. In case I suddenly disappear one day...I wanted you to remember me."
He hugs her, and accepts it. He smiles, "Thank you Angel."
"You're welcome..." She returns the hug happily "I hope you won't ever need it to remember me by...I don't want to leave..."
Adam smiles as he embraces her, "As do I, but I don't see any force tearing us apart. Ever."
"Really? Not even the White Fang? Or if I return home?"
"No," he replies. "Nothing."
Angel smiles at him "I'm glad...y'know, if someone had told me I'd be this comfortable around you when I first came here i'd have said they were insane! I'm so pleased you didn't kill me off. " She laughs.
He holds her a little tighter, "I wish you wouldn't talk about you dying."
"Why?" She frowns "It'll have to happen at some point..."
"Not while I'm around, and on top of that it's Christmas. Now isn't the time to think about sad endings."
"You're right!" Angel giggles "For now let's do something fun!"
Adam smiles, "Let's go watch Nora drink a whole serving bowl of Eggnog."
"Ewww..." She giggles "Why would she do that?"
Adam shrugs, "Not sure why myself."
"Well let's go!" Angel laughs; and pulls him towards Nora.
Smoke is on the sled holding up a stopwatch as they give Nora a giant bowl of the thick yellow drink. "Readyyyyyyyy... Go!"
Nora tips the bowl and angles it so that the liquid runs straight into her mouth. She chugs it down with ease.
Smoke watches her... Then he clicks the watch as she finishes. "Fifteen seconds! Three second chopped off Spike's record."
"Yeah!" she cheers joyfully " I am undefeatable!"
Spike smirks, and takes off his jacket, "Challenge accepted!"
"Here we go..." Cinder facepalms. Spike sets his jacket on the back of a chair, and grabs a tablecloth.
With a quick yank he pulls it off the table without moving anything on the table, and ties it around his neck like a bib. "I need a big bowel of Nog, that way we're evened out."
Nora smirks " you will never be able to beat me!'
"Oh we shall see..."
Smoke passes him the bowl, and Spike guzzles it immediately. Then Smoke steps back, "So how should we play this? Whoever can drink the most bowls in X amount of time, who can drink X amount of bowls the fastest, or should the loser be the one who barfs first?"
Spike smacks his lips as he finishes, "I vote for the last one, we get to drink more Eggnog that way."
Angel grimaces " I'm not sticking around if you choose the last..."
Reave chuckles, "I seriously doubt the school even has enough Eggnog for it to go that far. Spike is a total garbage gut, he can just keep eating until there's not a crumb left on the planet."
"Not true," Spike pouts.
"I vote option one!' Nora chirps " Now give me some eggnog!"
Smoke smiles, "Alrighty then! The most who can drink the most bowls in five minutes is the winner! Let's get it ready."
Nora smirks at Spike " Prepare to lose.. "
"I DON'T lose," he almost growls.
Smoke talks some other students into helping him set up two long buffet tables lined with large bowls.
"Today will be a new experience for you then!" She laughs
Spike opens his shirt by the first few buttons of his shirt, and slams his hands down on either side of the first bowl, "You're going down!"
"Big words...I hope you can live up to them..." Nora prepares herself with a smirk. Smoke sets up a timer as Blake holds up a flag. Even Ospin watches with interest.
"Ready... Set... GO!" He slams the start button on the timer, and they start drinking at the same time.
Nora's delicate hands hold the bowl steadily as she drinks quickly, the liquid disappearing at an alarming rate. After the first bowl, she picks up the second "Too slow!" She giggles, and drinks.
Smoke nods impressed with her, and then turns to see Spike holding up two bowls, pouring them both into his open mouth without spilling a drop. He's done by the time she sets down her second bowl.
She grasps the third with both hands, drinking it even quicker and not even glancing at Spike. Spike pulls a set of long straws from his hair, extending them into all his bowls, and starts to drink. Nora narrows her eyes, and picks up a bowl in each hand, drinking from one, and switching to the other once it's empty. There's no way he'll beat her...
Smoke checks the timer, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, time!"
... All the bowls are empty. Smoke stares, and then raises his hands, "It's a tie! Each contestant drank thirty bowls in five minutes!"
Nora smirks "A tie I can live with...but next time you won't be so lucky!"
Spike lies on the floor with rosy cheeks, "Haaark the herald kitties siiiiiing! Glory to the Burger Kinnnnnng!"
Smoke frowns, and looks around, "Uh... Wait a sec, where's that bowl that was on the table by the stairs?"
"This one?" Knuckles points at a bowl on Spike's table.
Smoke facepalms, "Oy Vey..."
Angel blinks "Why? What's wrong?"
"I saw someone spike that one with liquor..."
Ruby taps her chin, "Yang did say that she liked that bowl a lot."
"And he drank the whole thing?!" Angel pouts "That's unfair..."
Smoke chuckles, "I'm tempted to give Spike the win then since he was holding his liquor, AND his eggnog."
"WHAT?!" Nora glares "It was a draw, fair and square!"
"Hey, take a joke would ya?" Smoke laughs while waving his hands. Spike struggles to get to his feet, but hits the back of his head on a table, and goes flat on his stomach.
Nora blinks "Is he...okay?"
"Drunk as a skunk," Cinder says, pulling Spike out from under the table by the leg. "He's going to have one Hell of a hangover come sunrise. Smoke, help me get him to bed."
Smoke takes his other leg, and they start dragging him up the stairs, his head thunking on each step. Angel winces at each thump "That's gonna hurt in the morning..."
"Not like he can actually lose that many brain cells, right Weiss?" Blake turns to her.
"Of course." Weiss replies "He's an idiot."
Pyrrha smiles, "But a lovable one, he's not a scoundrel at any rate."
"How do you know, Pyrrha?" Weiss deadpans "You don't know him."
"Can't you feel it in his aura? Besides, he didn't seem that bad a person when you two were dancing earlier…"
Weiss abruptly blushes "That was just because I felt sorry for him...I...that's none of your business!"
"No I suppose it isn't," Pyrrha says with a smirk as she looks away from Weiss.
"HMPH!" Weiss storms off mumbling to herself "Stupid little...no idea what she's talking about..."
Suddenly Weiss is caught up in a strong, unusually soft hug.
She jumps at the sudden contact "Yang...what...are you doing?"
"So warrrrrm," Yang giggles, and turns Weiss around so her face is trapped in her massive breasts.
"Y-YANG!" Weiss writhes in her grip, "Get off me you dolt!" Yang loosens her grip a bit, and then stares at Weiss's lips for a good two minutes with rosy cheeks.
"...Drunk or sober, no way," Yang slurs as she shoves Weiss.
"YANG!" She stumbles slightly "What's gotten into you!"
"Sugar 'n spice 'n everythin' nice!" Yang the drunken angel says as she sits on the stairs.
Reave walks up beside Weiss, "Someone spiked a bowl of Eggnog with liquor, and Yang helped herself to it quite generously."
Weiss rolls her eyes "What an idiot..."
"Heyyyyyy!" Yang waves to Reave.
Reave sighs, and flips over his arm. He takes a vial out of his blade filled with light blue liquid, "This sedative will make her more bearable within a few minutes."
"What IS that?" Weiss eyes the vial suspiciously.
"I just said it was a sedative," Reave explains patiently. "My own mixture. Injected through my blade it knocks out a target in moments, but ingested it may take a while longer."
"How do I know it's not POISON? I won't let you harm my teammate..." She glares at him
He removes the stopper in the vial, and takes a sip. He blinks, and then hands it to her, "Just hold her nose, and give her a few drops... it should do the trick." His eyelids start to droop, "I'm going to the sled until it wears off..."
Weiss blinks, and heads over to Yang "Hey, Yang...open your mouth." She demands impatiently.
Yang just stick out her tongue. Lucy pops up behind Yang, and holds the blond by the nose, making her have to breath through her mouth.
Weiss pours the entire vial onto her tongue "There...problem solved! For quite a while I'd say."
Reave's eyes widen, "No! Not the... whole..." He drops to one knee, and braces himself with a hand, "Ah... dammit..." He shakes his head trying to clear it.
"What?" Weiss shrugs "It'll shut her up for a while."
"Haven't you ever... heard of people dying... from too many sleeping pills?!"
WHUMP! Yang passes out.
Reave bites his lip till it bleeds, helping him stay awake a little as he pulls a clear vial from a pouch on his hip. "Adrenaline," he explains. "Given the dose of that vial you fed her... about half this should do, but ONLY HALF." He looks at her firmly, "The whole thing would make her heart explode."
"Oh please..." She rolls her eyes, appearing calm, but internally panicking. She takes the second vial and pours half into her mouth. "There..jeez!"
No response at first... Then Yang moans, and tucks her hands under her head as she snores quietly.
Reave sighs in relief, "Thank you... could you stopper it please, and put it back in my pouch? I'm fading here, and that is too valuable to use on me." he smiles, "And... you did good..." Then he passes out on the floor.
Lucy pokes Yang repeatedly in the cheek, "I like Reave, he knows lots about natural medicines."
Heaving a sigh, Weiss puts the stopper back into the vial and shoves it in his pouch "That's nice, Lucy, now come on..." Lucy nods, and hops over Weiss.
"Little one," Cinder says as she walks over with a present. She kneels, offering it to Lucy, "here, Merry Christmas. Why not go up to your room, and have you big sister help you put it on?"
"Okay!" Lucy hugs her before accepting the present. Cinder pats her back, then picks up both the unconscious warriors before walking off with them.
Weiss frowns "I'm sure she can dress herself..."
Lucy takes her hand, and starts pulling her towards the stairs, "Come on Big Sis!"
Weiss groans, following "You don't seriously need my help to DRESS you do you?"
Lucy just giggles as she pulls her quickly to their room. Yang lies on her bunk, and Lucy starts opening her present on Weiss's bunk.
"What is it?" She questions.
"Ooo!" Lucy pulls out a light purple dress, perfect for formal occasions, and just her size. Underneath in the box is a makeup set, and and adorable hat that can easily cover her ears.
Weiss raises her eyebrow "She bought you make up...what child wears make up?"
"I dunno how to do that..." Lucy says as she looks at the set. "But the dress is pretty! Plus I can hide my weapons in it, see the secret pockets?"
"Indeed..." Weiss nods "Go get changed then!"
Lucy smiles, and starts shedding her costume, "I can't wait for Auntie Blake to teach me to tie a ribbon like she does! Then I can wear one too!"
Weiss sighs, and looks away "You should adopt your own style..."
"Hm..." she slips the dress over her head. "Oh, big sis can you please tie up the back?"
Weiss steps over to her and bends down, securing the back of the dress "Y'know if you were older this would accentuate your waist perfectly..."
"It would what?" Lucy blinks.
"It would...never mind. Once you start growing curves THEN you'll need to know, now slip on your shoes and let's go."
Lucy nods, and puts on a pair of one-inch heels. She does a little twirl like a ballerina.
Weiss smiles "Don't you look beautiful! Why don't you go show off downstairs?"
Lucy smiles, and then glances sideways. She spots a pink headband, and picks it up. After folding down her ears she puts it on top of them, hiding them in her hair, and looking for all the world like a little human girl.
Weiss holds out her hand "Come on beautiful...let's go have fun!"
"Okay," Lucy says, taking her hand. "So... did you have fun with Spike?"
"Uhhhh..." Weiss blinks "A little bit."
Lucy giggles, "He's funny! He kicks so much butt, and he doesn't even try! He scared me at first with the stories Sifu told about him, but one day he saved me so I like him now!"
"That's good...what did he save you from?"
"There was this kitty in the road, and i went to pick it up," Lucy explains. "Then this Fire Truck honked at me as it came so fast! Then Spike was there all of a sudden, and he grabbed the front of it, and then he threw it over the both of us!"
Weiss blinks "He threw...the...WHAT?!"
She nods, "The people back home who pull weapons out of air are really strong to begin with. Sifu Cinder made him so strong she's seen him bounce bullets off himself by tensing his muscles!"
"I see...interesting...and completely reckless!"
"Yup, he's a meathead," Lucy giggles. "That's fun to say!
Weiss smirks "If you ever hope to live with me and my father is still around you should watch your language..."
She clears her throat, and says like a proper lady, "Yes big sister..."
"Atta girl..." Weiss laughs "Perfect."
"Thank you big sister," she says with a smirk, and a curtsy.
Weiss laughs "You are welcome..." Lucy hugs her, and they start walking again.
"Hey...maybe with that hat you can live with me after all if it disguises you're a Faunus."
She nods with a smirk, "So I can stay?!"
"Yes..." Weiss smiles "You can stay."
"YAY YAY YAY!" Lucy dances around Weiss.
Weiss laughs "Alright alright...calm down."
"But this is the best thing to ever happen to me!"
Weiss raises her eyebrow "...Really? What about...finding Cinder and learning to fight?"
"Better than even then!"
"How can anything be better than that?"
Lucy hugs her, "Because I have a place to belong..."
Weiss sighs, and returns the hug tightly "...of course..."
Lucy purrs, "So what next?"
"Next...we go dance...what do you think?" Weiss smiles down at her "You and I?"
"Tee-hee, big sister is gonna look silly bending over like that! Or are you going to carry me?" Her eyes light up.
Weiss laughs "Whatever you want...little sister."
