'Miss Lange, I regret to inform you that Mr. Granger was in an accident and was taken to the hospital.'

What was it like getting that call? She felt as if she had just been punched in the stomach very hard.

Her partner, had almost died in a freak accident that she was sure WAS NOT an accident!

'This has to be that mole! What other explanation is there? And it makes perfect sense, if you can't pick off 1 leader, pick off the one person who is the closest to that leader! And Owen is the closest to me!' Hetty frantically thought.

She didn't say much for awhile, except for sending a text to Callen saying they must do whatever they could to bring the culprit to justice.

While the team was in the field, she stress-drank tea. Eric offered her some encouraging words, and she thanked him for it.

It was later confirmed that Granger had been given a poisoned plant, at work. Which meant that the mole was definitely the culprit.

After hearing that, Hetty issued a lockdown on the whole building. 'Time to get this bitch', she thought afterwards.

She also agreed to a lie-dectector test to rule her out as the mole. In which she admitted that she once tried to kill Granger.

When Nell asked afterwards. 'It was an accident. I thought he had double crossed me, but as it turned out, he was just doing something sweet for me. He was mad at me for weeks after that, and I think he still thinks I was going to kill him even though I've had told him dozens of times that it was an accident.'

The mole was later revealed to be Carl Brown, an IT guy.

Hetty then went to the hospital to see Granger.

She told him they found the mole, and then she held his hand.

And he asked if it was because she still felt guilty about trying to kill him a long time ago.

'Wouldn't think of it. And you know I've said dozens of times that that was an accident!'

'I know. I was just messing with you. I believed you after you apologized for like, the 3rd time.'

'What?! Owen, that's not funny!'

'Yeah, it seemed like a good idea at the time. But now I see that it was mean.' Granger responded.

'Uh, of course it was mean! I made a huge mistake, and apologized who knows how many times, and you were hardly talking to me! I was very hurt.'

'I was just trying to do something sweet for you. And, I probably shouldn't have made it look so suspicious, but isn't that what surprises are supposed to be?'

'Yes. At the time, someone I knew quite well had betrayed me, and from the way you were acting, I was afraid you were going to turn on me as well. You were my best friend, and I didn't want to lose you!' Hetty said.

Silence.

Smiling, 'You really mean all that?' Granger asked.

Smiling, 'Yes, I really do!' Hetty responded.

'That is, very nice of you to say. And, I don't want to lose you either.'

'Mmm. Glad we can agree on this.'

Silence.

'I think I need to rest now.'

'Okay, I'll be right outside!'

'You don't need to stay overnight.'

'I want to.'

She slept there. And when it was time to, she took Granger home.

'I know you're not a hugging person, but can I-'

'Yes, you can hug me if you want.'

He bent down, and they hugged.
