Hi guys. Not much to say on this one. Thanks for reading this far. Hope you keep reading. Thanks. :)

What Macavity said made Munkustraps fur stand on end. Reliving the past wasn't the thing he wanted to do right now. Plus with the kittens around who knows what Macavity was going to say next. Munkustrap looked over at Carbucketty. Carbucketty looked at him, both of them knew what the other was thinking. They needed to get out of there somehow with everyone intact.

"Well what are you waiting for?" Macavity asked his henchmen.

The henchmen went towards the kittens again. Mungojerrie stayed where he was. Macavity gave him an icy cold stare, which Mungojerrie had seen hundreds of times and knew what it meant.

"Mungojerrie?" Macavity said putting his paws on his hips.

Mungojerrie stood with Carbucketty. Both of the young cats had grown up together, they weren't going to leave each other easily.

"Oh I see. Take them all away." Macavity waved.

The henchmen surrounded the kittens including Mungojerrie and Carbucketty. They left Munkustrap out of it as Macavity would probably want to talk to him about something.

"If you lay one claw on them, you'll be sorry." Munkustrap said, pointing at the henchmen.

The henchmen took the kittens away from the two toms. Macavity scuffed his leg along the floor. This was the first time the two brothers had talked in years.

"Well this is nice." Macavity whistled.

"What do you want Mac?" Munkustrap asked frustrated.

"What for?"

"The kittens. What do I have to give you to save them?"

"What makes you think you can save them?"

"I thought you still had some good parts in you somewhere."

"Well maybe a few years ago. When Misto was very small."

"Don't talk about him!" Munkustrap hissed.

"He's my kit. Why shouldn't I?"

"Don't say that."

"Say what?"

"That he's your kit. He had no idea until he came here."

"Well it's your fault for not telling him!"

"Well if you had been a good cat, you may have kept him."

"A good cat?!"

Macavity laughed at his brother. Munkustrap may be older than him but he had no idea what Macavity has been through.

"Just let the kittens go." Munkustrap sighed.

"What would I get in return?" Macavity smirked.

"Me." Munkustrap finally answered.

"What's so great about that?" Macavity smiled.

"The junkyard would lose their leader. You would be more powerful than them."

"They've done it before, they can get another leader. You're not very important, you know, big brother?"

"That's what you think!"

"Yes it is and it's true."

This took the wind out of Munkustraps sails. What if Macavity was right? They can just put another leader in charge. He wasn't going to be the leader forever even though he was going to try.

"Well?" Macavity said, staring at Munkustrap.

"That's my offer."

"Well I don't accept it."

"Funny. You usually do."

"That was back then. Things have changed."

"Not much by the looks of this place."

Munkustrap looked around Macavity's lair. The lair was filthy, not to mention full of rubbish!

"Don't knock it till you try it!" Macavity snapped.

"Macavity!" A henchman's voice came from another part of the den.

"Stay there!" Macavity hissed at Munkustrap.

Macavity rushed off to see what the problem was. Munkustrap didn't really know what was going on but could guess that Carbucketty had found a way to escape. Only thing was, how was he going to get out?

0000

Macavity got into the room where the henchmen were. The kittens had tied the henchmen up and were tapping their claws on the floor waiting for him. Macavity was outraged!

"How did this happen?!" Macavity shouted.

"You trust us too much." Misto smiled.

"Why you little…" Macavity sprung towards Misto but was blocked by Mungojerrie from going any further.

"Leave them alone." Mungojerrie hissed.

Macavity hissed back at his once trusted henchman. Mungojerrie had listened to everything he said but now he was the very thing he had sworn to fight.

"Traitor." Macavity hissed in Mungojerries direction.

"The only traitor is you." Mungojerrie sided.

"You believe everything you just heard then do you?" Macavity smirked.

"Better than the lies you told me." Mungojerrie piped up.

"Ha. You'd be nothing without me!" Macavity laughed.

"No. I'd be nothing without them." Mungojerrie said, directing his head back to the kittens.

"Get him Jerrie!" Victoria shouted.

Jemima, Exotica and Misto all looked at each other. They had never heard Victoria say something so loud. Carbucketty was just as shocked but proud of what Victoria had grown into since being his friend. They all stifled their laughter so that Victoria didn't hear it.

"I would be nothing without the junkyard." Mungojerrie sighed.

"That's not true! You learned everything here. No one taught you anything in the tribe. Isn't that true Misto?" Macavity asked Misto.

Mistos fur stood on end. Even though he wasn't allowed to use magic it didn't mean he didn't want to go back to the junkyard. A silver flash came from behind Macavity. All of the kittens knew who it was.

"There's one thing I did learn in the junkyard though." Mungojerrie smiled.

"Really? What's that then?" Macavity laughed.

"Never leave a junkyard cat by themselves." Misto urged.

"What?!" Macavity was puzzled.

Macavity turned round just to catch Munkustraps' claws hit his face. Macavity was knocked to the ground and Munkustrap could finally get the kittens out of there.

"Go!" Munkustrap called the kittens. So all of them left including Mungojerrie. They all got to the top of the lair and looked down waiting for Munkustrap to join them.

"Come on!" Carbucketty shouted down to Munkustrap.

Munkustrap tried to jump up but was stopped by Macavity who rugby tackled him to the floor.

"No!" The kittens cried.

Munkustrap went out of sight for a few seconds. The kittens looked down waiting for him to come back up again. Victoria hugged Jemima and Exotica hoping for good news. Carbucketty, Mungojerrie and Misto tried to keep a straight face and not show their emotions. They knew he was going to come back up again. Right?
