Samurott + Primarina- Something Fishy
It was quite an excellent evening; a pristine, clear night with a full moon surrounded by an audience of stars. The seaside had an excellent feel to it. The warmth of the air from the preceding hot daytime mixed with the heavenly coolness of the nighttime sea breeze created the perfect environment for nearly everyone.
On a wooden dock that jutted out a few yards and floated atop the water, a Samurott walked across while gazing expectantly at the open ocean. Once he got to the end of the dock, he stared into the water, putting all of his focus into looking down into the depths. He remained like this several minutes, not moving a muscle, until finally, he suddenly got up onto his hind legs and drew both his seamitars with his forepaws. He then swung them both into the water with lightning speed.
It was all over in an instant. Three seconds after it all started, Samurott had sheathed both seamitars and was back on all fours like nothing had happened. Before the water could even calm back down, six fish rained down behind him, landing in a neat pile.
The Formidable Pokemon bowed respectfully, albeit smiling slightly, and then turned around to enjoy his catch. He slurped down the first four fish, biting them by their tails and pulling them into his mouth, and then swallowing them whole. He used his long horn to flip the fifth one into the air so he could catch it in his mouth. He chewed it hungrily, his long, white whiskers twitching as he devoured the fish. He swallowed, and his stomach gave a growl to say it was not yet satisfied.
Samurott looked down at the last fish, and found it to be the biggest of his catch. Out of all of them, this last one would actually be a decent mouthful. Samurott let out a barking laugh as he grabbed the fish by the tail. He held it up with his right forepaw and admired the fish for its length and plumpness. He was about to bite into the fish when he suddenly heard and felt something slap down onto the end of the dock behind him.
Samurott turned around to see a very pretty Pokemon floating in the water, her two white flippers resting on the end of the dock. Primarina smiled as she fluttered her jagged white eyelashes at Samurott, her deep blue eyes seemingly staring at him.
Samurott blinked solemnly at the beautiful Soloist Pokemon, completely unsure of what he should do. He then recalled the fish he was holding, and decided he best satisfy his hunger before he did anything. Samurott turned his head to bite into the fish, but was stopped by the sound of Primarina crying out, albeit rather melodiously.
He turned to look at her, and saw that she had her left flipper outstretched towards him, not to mention a look of distress on her face instead of her enchanting smile. It was then that Samurott realized that she had been staring at the fish, not at him.
Samurott whiskers twitched slightly as he looked from the fish he was holding to the Pokemon in the water. With a curious look in his eye, he moved the fish to Primarina's right. Primarina leaned to her right. Samurott moved it to her left, and she leaned to her left.
Samurott quickly turned away from Primarina and looked upwards in thought. He then smiled a chuckled quietly to himself, his curiosity being replaced by mischief.
Samurott turned back to Primarina and took a few steps towards her, shaking the fish back and forth as he did so.
Primarina's eyes seemed to get bigger and more sparkly as she focused her undivided attention on the fish. She eagerly reached out to it with her flippers, but Samurott withheld it from her and shook his head, smiling gently as he did so. Primarina pouted in response, but Samurott kept smiling as he pointed at Primarina with his horn, and then flicked his horn upwards.
Primarina stared at Samurott in confusion as he repeated the gesture. However, after the fourth time, Primarina's eyes lit up in understanding, and she pushed herself away from the dock with her flippers. She then lifted her body upwards and raised her flippers high as she floated up with her tail half-submerged in the water.
Samurott nodded in approval, and then swung his horn to the right briskly.
Primarina spun around for 1080 degrees in the indicated direction, scattering water droplets all around her, making the very air appear to sparkle in the moonlight.
Samurott smiled in amazement, barking in approval. He then swung his horn down, and then upwards with force.
In response to this, Primarina quickly dived down under the water, and then jumped upwards into the air, flipping over before splashing back down into the water. She came back up and laughed gleefully as Samurott nodded enthusiastically.
Samurott then moved his horn in a sideways wave pattern from right to left, and Primarina swam out a bit before diving back down again. She then jumped in and out of the water as she swam parallel to the shoreline.
Samurott then swung his horn back and forth a few times, and then swung it straight up.
Primarina nodded enthusiastically, and then swam further out into the sea. She then moved speedily through the water, just under the waves so that her hair and backside broke the surface, weaving back and forth as she closed in on the dock. Then, when she was only a few feet away from the dock, she jumped right out of the water, soaring straight up into the air, and then splashed down epically, showering Samurott with sea spray.
Primarina came back up and slapped her flippers back down on the edge of the dock, breathing heavily but smiling expectantly at Samurott.
Samurott laughed jollily and nodded to show his approval, and he held up the fish grandly, pointing to it with his horn.
Primarina nodded eagerly, and she closed her eyes for a moment as she breathed in deeply through her round, pink nose, enjoying the smell of the fish. She sighed and opened her eyes, and she licked her lips when she saw how big the fish was.
Samurott held the fish out to Primarina, and she gleefully reached out with both flippers to claim it. However, she soon found that the fish was out of her reach by a mere inch. She stretched out her flippers a bit, but she just couldn't reach it. Still smiling, Primarina looked at Samurott and gestured to the fish with her head.
Samurott nodded back, but didn't move at all. Primarina kept her smile, and she wiggled here flippers a bit to silently communicate that she needed him to bring the fish closer to her.
Samurott barked to show her understood, and he took a step forward and raised his right foreleg so that he was holding the fish right above Primarina's outstretched flippers.
Primarina sighed contentedly, and she reached upwards to clap her flippers onto the fish, only to have Samurott suddenly pull it away at the last second.
Primarina stared at Samurott in shock, and that shock turned to horror as Samurott started laughing hysterically as he turned his back on her and walked away.
Samurott enjoyed the good laugh for a bit, and then grinned at the fish he still held in his right forepaw. He opened his mouth wide to eat, but was interrupted again by the loud slap of something landing on the dock. It also caused the floating platform to shake and bob up and down a bit.
Samurott turned around fast to see Primarina completely on the dock. Her blue tail as curved slightly behind her, and she was supporting her upper body with her flippers. This was very surprising to Samurott, as he had no idea that the other Pokemon could move onto land. However, Samurott's thoughts were quickly focused on the furious look on Primarina's face. She was practically scowling at him, and her beautiful blue eyes were narrow and piercing as she tensely tapped her right flipper onto the dock.
Without any warning, Primarina suddenly let out a Hyper Voice, although the attack took the form of group of large balloon-like bubbles of water that shot out of her mouth. The water balloons flew extremely fast, but Samurott was able to draw one of his seamitars with his free forepaw quickly enough to slice into them. This was a mistake, however, because the moment he cut into them, they all exploded and sent him flying.
Samurott landed flat on his back a few feet away, and he stared dizzily up into the sky for a moment. He soon regained his senses, and he became aware of a thumping sound nearby. He raised his head, and he saw Primarina flopping across the beach towards where the large fish had landed.
Wasting no time, Samurott quickly flipped himself back over and surged forward with Aqua Jet.
Primarina was standing above the fish, and was about to bring her face down to bite it when Samurott collided with her. The two fully evolved Pokemon ended up rolling back and forth in the sand, Samurott trying to hit Primarina with his horn, and Primarina repeatedly slapping Samurott across the face with her flippers.
During all this, Primarina's tail was swinging wildly, and it ended slapping the fish several yards away.
Both Pokemon saw this out of the corner of their respective eyes, and they immediately stopped wrestling to see where the fish had landed. They quickly took a quick glance at each other, and they both immediately separated and made a break for this fish.
Samurott ran forward, quickly getting ahead of Primarina. However, Primarina reached out and grabbed Samurott's hindlegs with her flippers. This tripped him up and caused him to faceplant into the sand. Primarina pulled herself forward, leaving Samurott in the dust as she went for the fish.
Primarina dived for the plump fish, her mouth open and her eyes fixated on the prize. She would have gotten to it if something hadn't held her back at the last moment, causing her to fall flat onto the sand with the fish a centimeter away from her nose. Samurott had bitten one of her tailfins right before she dived forward, stopping her from successful diving for the fish. Primarina then felt herself being dragged backwards, and out of desperation, she let out a Round, which caught the fish in one of her water balloon. She held the note, and that caused the balloon to float high into the air.
Primarina's singing was cut off when Samurott leapt forward and ended up stomping on her head, more out of haste than actually intent, and ran after the now flying fish. He stared up at the water balloon in shock, and then turned around to look at Primarina.
Primarina was spitting out sand and dusting more sand out of her long hair. She noticed Samurott staring at him, and quickly drew herself up regally, smirking victoriously.
Filled with indignation at this, Samurott turned to stared back up at the water balloon, and then drew one of his seamitars. Focusing his gaze, Samurott drew the seamitar back slowly. Primarina gasped and moved forward quickly to stop the throw, but she wasn't fast enough. Samurott threw the seamitar like a javelin, and it was a perfect throw. It struck the water balloon dead on, and the moment the tip touched it, the balloon exploded, sending the seamitar spinning downward, right back to where it came. Samurott caught the seamitar expertly and sheathed it effortlessly as he watched the fish fall straight down.
Samurott and Primarina stood side by side, their bodies tense and poised to get moving as they tracked the fish with their eyes. However, there eyes widened when the saw the fish land right into a large bonfire lit by some humans who had left momentarily to get a few things in the nearby town.
The two Pokemon could only stare, completely frozen in shock. However, Primarina was the first to snap out of it, and she turned to Samurott, growling fiercely at him. Samurott turned to look at her, and actually cringed back a bit when she saw how angry she looked. Before Samurott could say or do anything, Primarina let out an ear-piercing shriek and threw herself onto him.
Samurott suddenly found himself pinned down on his back by the enraged Soloist Pokemon. Primarina's tail was on his chest, and she was currently grabbing his whiskers with her flippers and was pulling them as hard as she could. Samurott was so shocked that he wasn't even sure how to fight back.
However, this all came to a sudden halt when a new smell suddenly gained the attention of both Pokemon. Primarina's scowl disappeared, and she let go of Samurott's whiskers as she raised her head to sniff the air. Samurott gave a few sniffs as well, and then both Pokemon turned to look towards the large bonfire.
Primarina slid off of Samurott's chest, and Samurott got back up on his feet to follow her towards the bonfire.
Both Pokemon stared into the fire, both sniffing in the new aroma that neither of them had ever experienced before. Both of them were curious, but Samurott got the idea to draw one of his seamitars and poke it into the bonfire. When he pulled out the seamitar, the large fish was speared by the tip of it, and the fish had visibly changed from being in the fire.
Both Pokemon inhaled through their noses, and both of them smiled as they let out contented sighs, their eyes rolling upwards in pleasure at the tantalizing aroma the cooked fish was giving off.
Primarina leaned forward to take a bite, but quick as a flash, Samurott drew his other Seamitar with his mouth and held the blade right in front of her crossways.
Primarina stared at the seamitar barring her way to the fish, and a look of sadness and hunger crossed her face and she let out a soft whimper. A loud growl from her stomach added to the pitiful sight.
Samurott's hardened gaze softened a bit, and he did some thinking as he studied the gorgeous Pokemon that stood whimpering in front of him. He went over the night's events in his head carefully, and his eyes widened as he came to a sudden realization.
Samurott quickly sheathed the seamitar in his mouth, and then aimed his focus on Primarina, who now looked a little more helpful. With several barks, Samurott pointed to the fish, then at Primarina, then at the two of them, and then at the sea. He then pointed out the fire and let out a hearty laugh, winking as he did.
Primarina blinked solemnly after all this, while doing some thinking of her own. She then smiled and nodded several times. Samurott barked with approval, and held out the fish to her. Primarina quickly ate the fish whole, chewing a swallowing quickly. Her eyes seemed to sparkle at the incredible new taste sensations she was experiencing. She laughed joyfully, causing Samurott to smile warmly at her. Then, both Pokemon quickly moved away from the bonfire and out to the sea.
They were gone for a few minutes, and when they returned, they both came back with a decent haul of fish. They nodded eagerly to each other, both looking very excited to say the least. However, something happened to catch Primarina's eye, and she gasped and quickly dropped her fish to motion to Samurott to cover his ears. Confused, Samurott dropped his fish and did as Primarina asked, and watched as she quickly moved in the direction opposite of the shore.
Samurott could make out some human voices, then what sounded like Primarina singing, and then relative silence.
Samurott just smiled in admiration, and uncovered his ears as Primarina flopped back to him with a satisfied smile on her face. She then plopped down right next to Samurott, and the two of them began to toss some of their fish into the bonfire. Samurott drew one of his seamitars for quick retrieval, and the two of them sat there together, alternating between watching the fire and admiring the stars in the sky.
Samurott took a glance a Primarina, and suddenly felt emboldened enough to gently rest his tail atop her tail. Primarina breathed in sharply at this in slight surprise, but then she relaxed and gave contented sigh, which put a fulfilled smile on Samurott's face.
