Chapter 20: Cosmos Part 3

Still at Canterlot Castle, Celestia, Luna, and Twilight are looking over the balcony as she thinks about one thing: Finding the rest of the stars and gaining back her powers.

Cosmo says, "Must find… these stars… and I shall be whole again. Wonderful."

In Discord's home dimension, the being of Chaos is able to get Fluttershy, Sun, and Screwball to a safe place. The two girls who are up groan and feel their bodies feel strange. Mostly because they ended up having hybrid like forms. Fluttershy body parts are changed into a butterfly while Sun has some forms of a Breezie.

Sun groans, "My head. It feels like I was hit with a hammer."

"And my body feels very strange," Fluttershy says.

"That is a bit of an understatement. Cosmos changed you into a butterfly and Sun, she changed you into a Breezie," Discord says.

"I know, but I have to admit, these Breezie wings actually look cute," Sun says.

Fluttershy then touches Sun's mane, "Yes. And your mane and tail looks like a Breezie's mane and tail. I remember being a Breezie once, but you seem to be your usual self."

"I can't believe it. I never know this Cosmos was so powerful that she used those stars to possess Twilight, Celestia, and Luna," Sun says, sounding upset.

"And well, kind of turned us into animal hybrids," Fluttershy says.

Sun turns her head and holds Screwball, "I'm more worried about Screwball as of now. What did she do to her?"

"Not to worry, she's just sleeping," Discord says.

He then conjures up a megaphone, and shouts through it, "SCREWBALL WAKE UP!"

The loud noise causes Sun and Fluttershy to cover their ears and Screwball wakes up and covers her ears.

Screwball yelps, "Ow! Daddy what was too loud!"

"Sorry Screwy, but it's the only way to wake you up," Discord says, making the megaphone disappear.

Screwball rubs her eyes, and asks, "What happened? I… I thought I heard mommy talking through Twilight and and…"

She then gasps, "Oh no! She attacked Applejack! And somehow I feel asleep."

"Trust me when I say that it's not a dream," Sun says.

Screwball turns her head and becomes shocked to see Fluttershy and Sun have changed. Sun has appearances of a Breezie while Fluttershy has some appearances of a Butterfly.

"Fluttershy! Sun! What happened?" Screwball asks, shocked.

Sun says, "Uh, I think you should be asking Cosmos, or to put it simply, your mom."

"My mom did that?" Screwball asks.

"Wait… Cosmos is your mom?" Fluttershy says, confused.

"Um yeah," Screwball says, confused.

Suddenly, Sun remembers, "Wait a minute, Cosmos called Discord her husband, and you said that she's your mom. I… i don't get it…"

Fluttershy then turns to Discord and asks, "Discord, what's going on?"

Discord has his hands behind his back lowers his head with a sad look on his face.

He sighs and says, "Well,... actually… there's more to Cosmos than I told you. A whole lot lot more."

Seeing the sad look on Discord's face, Sun and Fluttershy realizes that the subject about Cosmos is a very difficult and personal one.

Sun walks over in concern, "Discord."

"I'll… I'll get you girls some snacks. Sounds good, right," Discord says, trying to smile.

"Um okay," Fluttershy says.

"Great. I'll… be right back," Discord says.

Discord then walks into the kitchen to get some food. Sun and Fluttershy look at each other in deep concern. Then they look at Screwball in concern who is also holding a sad look on her face.

"Screwball… Cosmos means more to Discord, does she?" Sun asks.

Screwball nods her head and says, "Yeah… but I'll let dad explain it… when he's ready."

Sun and Fluttershy continues to feel concern for Screwball and Discord.

In the city known as Klugetown, Pinkie and Big Mac are searching for their star stone.

Pinkie happily says, "Oooh. This stall has Llama accessories…"

"Uhh…" Bug Mac replies.

Pinkie however is occupied by the toys and stuff.

Pinkie turns to Big Mac, "I know. I know… looking for the star and don't getting distracted. I'm so glad I have you here to keep my focus!"

"Um…" Big Mac replies.

Then Pinkie notices something and zips over, "Oh. Sundries! Hold my llama!"

Then passes her toy to Big Mac. Pinkie then begins to dig inside the pile of stuff when two creatures walk over to him.

The green hooded creature replies, "Oooh. How much for the yoke around your neck? Are you feeling?"

"... Nope? Big Mac nervously replies.

The gray picture pulls on his collar as the green one says, "I'll give you three stormbucks for the hair. It'll look better on me anyway."

"...Nope?" Big Mac softly says.

Suddenly a familiar feline character walks over and says, "Sorry everyone! This one's already bought and paid for!"

Pinkie happily turns her head, "Capper!"

She then hugs Capper with a tight bear hug, as he shakes Big Mac's hoof.

Capper yelps, "Oof. Pinkie Pie, you know better than to bring a greenhorn to Klugetown, what were you thinking?"

"That… he doesn't have a green horn?" Pinkie says.

The three soon walk together and Capper asks, "What brings you here?"

Pinkie gasps loud and holds a toy llama and a poster of the star.

Then explains, "First I bought a llama, and then Twilight and Cozy Glow found falling stars… and it's pink… and it's part of a big astronomical mystery, and it made our magical map all shiny and pointed yes to the other fallen stars all across Equestria, and now we're on a mission to find them all and…"

"You're looking for this?" Capper asks, asking the poster and covers Pinkie's mouth.

"Yep," Big Mac answers.

"It's funny, it looks a bit like the top of the trophy for Klugetown's yearly Muck Marathon," Capper says.

"What's that? It sounds fun!" Pinkie asks with glee.

Capper explains, "It's basically the only entertainment we have out here. Folks run through all kinds of disgusting, dangerous things, and whoever does it the fastest, and well, survives, gets the trophy and bragging right for a year. It's today."

"Well, that's convenient," Pinkie says.

Capper then shows the registration table and there is the trophy and on the trophy is the item they're looking for

"See?" Capper says, pointing to the trophy.

"That's it. Let's grab it! Mine!" Pinkie cheers.

Then turns to Big Mac, "Oh, you're about to say something noble about how we have to win it, aren't you? You're such a good pony, Big Mac. I'll go sign us up as a team right now."

Then zips over to sign Big Mac and herself up and the stallion face palms his face.

Capper turns to Big Mac, "You were about to suggest how to steal it, weren't you?"

Big Mac nods his head.

Suddenly, Pinkie shouts, "Hey Big Mac. Let's call our team 'Big Pie,' okay?"

And so Big Mac and Pinkie Pie compete in the big Muck Marathon. They raced through mud, swimming in a swamp full of alligators, singing opera on a treadmill, upstream biking, eating a tree, and even Mud Pie making with real mud. They played a lot of games for one Marathon. And sometime later, the race is theirs…

"We won!" Pinkie cheers.

"Yep…" Big Mac says, tired.

Then Pinkie asks, "Ohhh, what do we win?"

Then Pinkie remembers, "Oh right."

And Big Mac facepalm his face again and grumbles.

"I'd like to congratulate 'Big Pie' on their win of this year's Muck Marathon. The trophy presentation has been cancelled as the trophy has been stolen… again," The judge says.

"What?" Pinkie exclaims in shock.

The judge says, "It happens every year, it'll turn up. We'll forward it to the address on your entry form when it does.. In lieu of the trophy, enjoy a free pass to Klugetown's lead basket weaving emporium."

"Can it be to the Llama accessory stall? Baby needs a new pair of shoes," Pinkie asks.

Sometime later, after the stall, Pinkie and Big Mac join Capper at the stall.

"Why the long face? Capper asks.

"The llama booth had no shoes! And also someone stole the trophy and now we don't know where to look," Pinkie says, dragging the bag of goodies.

Capper smirks and shows them the trophy in his jacket, "Well yeah. That was me. Wait, do you honestly think I wasn't going to steal it?"

"Capper! You're the best…" Pinkie happily cheers.

"But…" Big Mac says.

"But you would have to won it even if I hadn't taken it, I know… but you guys were looking a bit iffy during the ell juggling competition. Thought I'd cover our bases in case you lost," Capper says, feeling crushed by Pinkie's embrace.

Capper winks and asks, "Now, where to?"

"Canterlot! Canterlot! In short, there's simply not a more congenial spot," Capper says.

"I…" Big Mac says.

"Wonder how everyone else is doing finding their star? Me too," Pinkie replies.

Capper flies the airship over the city and they're making their way to Ponyville.

Back in Discord's home, Discord is able to give Fluttershy and Sun some food that Breezies and Butterflies are able to eat, since they are unable to have normal food. He also has some cotton candy and some chocolate milk for himself and Screwball.

"Discord, do you think you can tell us more about Cosmos?" Sun asks.

"Other than the fact that she is Chaotic, and more destructive," Discord says.

"Yes. Cosmos says that you're her husband and that Screwball said that she is her mom," Sun says.

"Yes. I'm really confused. Although, there's not much that we know about you. I mean, about your personal life," Fluttershy says.

"For starters. What Screwball and Cosmos says, it's true. She is my wife and also Screwballs' mother. And yet. I was forced to send her away because she took things too far...much too far," Discord sadly says.

Fluttershy and Sun look at Discord with a very sad expression. It seems that Cosmos is very special to Discord and he feels that he had no choice, but to sent her away. What's more, it seems that this is a major family problem that is a real need to be fixing.

Meanwhile in Griffonstone, Zecora and the Crusaders are looking for the star piece. They also end up finding strange stuff. Luckily they are able to find one of the stars too.

"You know, it's weird the Griffons were so keen to give us this thing," Apple Bloom says.

"It's pretty creepy. I'd want to get rid of it too," Scootaloo says.

"And I bought this souvenir Griffonstone thimble for Rarity's collection! Odd thing for one to collect with no thumbs, I always thought…"

Apple Bloom shows Zecora the thing she is given and it has a pink star like the one Twilight and Cozy Glow has. Suddenly, Zecora begins to feel weird and her eyes begin to turn pink. Zecora then shakes her head. She then uses a cloth to cover up the star.

Zecora says, "A bad feeling, I have about this. It is something I cannot dismiss. This relic has the strangest feel, now off to Celestia for her to deal."

"Best not to touch an unknown thigh, You never know what dangers it may bring," Zecora says, putting the item in the bag.

"Well, I guess we better get walking. It's a long trip home," Scootaloo says.

"Ain't no way ah'm walking back. My hoof blisters have hoof blisters after the trip here. And we're on a mission from Twilight herself. That means we have a powerful skill we have yet to utilize," Apple Bloom says.

"And what's that?" Sweetie Belle asks.

"The Power of… Name Dropping!" Apple Bloom says.

She walks to the Griffons and asks, "Excuse us, but we are on a very important mission for Princess Twilight Sparkle, and we need to get back to Canterlot right away. Do you know anypony that might be able to help four weary official deputized princess helpers on their royal task? Apple Bloom asks.

The griffons are soon impressed.

"Wow! A chance to help out Princess Twilight? You bet I can help you. Bowie here, too. Climb on!" The gray griffin says.

The white one says, "Sure, why not… nothing else to do. Just sold my last thimble."

Soon, the group are riding on the griffons to get back to Ponyville.

Apple Bloom calls out, "Oh, don't act like you're not relieved to have a ride back!"

Suddenly Sweetie Belle notices, "Hey, an airship! Neat!"

Turns out, the airship is the one Pinkie, Big Mac, and Capper are on. So after meeting each other. They all meet at the Canterlot Airship dock and walk to Canterlot Together. Each of them explain what happened.

Apple Bloom says to Big Mac, "And then this Griffon was all 'Oh thank Princess Celestia somepony wants that accursed thing' and he gave it to us! How'd you get yours ?Why is there mud in your mae? And why are you wearing a skirt?"

"I don't want to talk about it," Big Mac grumbles.

And Pinkie says, "We won a race and I got my llama a hat. Look! Plumage!"

Capper looks at the stars that they have so far. They sparkle brightly and glow a pink color.

"Stars, huh? I bet you could get a fortune for them," Capper says.

A profit would be high, I agree. But money is not the goal… you know woe any danger I foresee, so under lock and they should go," Zecora says.

"Riiiiiight…" Capper says, confused.

Then asks, "Do you… always talk like that?"

"Yep," Big Mac whispers.

"Must be fun at parties," Capper says, confused.

Suddenly someone says, "Oh, my stars."

The group turns their heads to see Twilight, Celestia, and Luna appear from a puff of pink smoke with pink color eyes.

They all say in the same voice, "Literally."

The group becomes confused to see the three princesses looking and acting very weird. What's more, there are creepy plants and flowers along with creepy looking animals.

"Somethin' looks weird here? Did they fire the groundskeeper?" Apple Bloom says, confused.

"Nonsense, silly pony!" Celestia says, but in another voice.

Sweetie Belle asks, "Did the princesses look… pink?"

"We're feeling… delicious…" Luna says, using the same voice.

"That's a new look for them, isn't it?" Scootaloo comments.

Then Twilight holds out her hoof and says, "Now those stars… hoof them over."

Zecora says, "As always they appear radiant, 'tis true, but my dear Crusaders, sharpen your view. Observe the necklace and it's charm… as I feared I believe it brings them harm."

Luna says, "This one's much more perceptive."

"Always has been. Could be a problem…" Twilight says.

Celestia walks over to Zecora and Capper quickly puts the stuff in the bag.

Celestia says, "Or better yet, an asset!"

Then sternly says, "You really want to give us those stars. You don't want to do this the hard way."

"I think this looks extraordinarily bad. A better defense is what I wish I had," Zecora says, holding the bag.

Capper quickly says, "Hey, now stretch, I think stripes here is just being a little cautious… went through a lot of trouble, you know!"

"No! I…" Zecora quickly says, but Capper covers her mouth.

"Here you go, ladies. No fuss, no muss," Capper says, giving Celestia the bag.

Celestia takes it and says, "You must be the brains of the outfit."

"Just wanna see everyone get what they deserve," Capper says as he and Zecora walk away.

Capper secretly opens his jacket to see the two stars that are safely hidden. As they walk away, Celestia opens the bag to see the trophy and the skull that is supposed to have a star on each object. However to her shock, the trophy has the llama while the skull has the thimble on it.

She exclaims, "WHAT?!"

She screams in rage, "You try to make a dupe out of me?!"

Soon, the possessed princesses begin to attack them. Cosmos uses Twilight to tie up the Crusaders with vines. Zecora and Capper are being attacked by Luna and Celestia stomp on Big Mac and push Pinkie out of the way. Soon, Cosmos uses Luna to change Capper's jacket into snakes.

The cat panics, "Eeek! ick! Oh, ick! Oh, dirty pool!"

He continues to panic as his jacket are now snakes and slither all over him. Luna then begins to make her way to Luna.

But Zecora has a potion in her hoof, "It apparent you're not you, princess of blue… I blame the cryptic star of pink. Fighting is not my way, I turn to Voodoo. This will clear your mind and help you think!"

But Luna uses her magic to create a boxing glove and punches him in the face, giving Twilight enough time to take the potion.

"Don't waste time with prose when you should be defeating your foes," Twilight says.

Then Luna says, "I see what you did there."

Pinkie pulls Celestia by the tail as Big Mac tries to fight her.

Pinkie shouts, "That's my llama! I don't know you!"

Big Mac grabs Celestia by the mane with his teeth and pulls her, and Celestia.

However, Celestia says, "The red one amuses me, he thinks he can stop me! He is very powerful! I like him, distract him!"

Before Big Mac can do anything Luna grabs him by his brown collar and kisses Big Mac.

"No fair using the mushy stuff!" Pinkie shouts."

Celestia pushes Pinkie out of the way and punches Big Mac.

Scootaloo pulls the vine from her mouth and screams, "Twilight! Please! We're friends."

The possessed Twilight looks at them and says, "My, you three my be friends of my daughter, Screwball."

"Your daughter?" The Crusaders says, confused.

Cosmos giggles, "Where are my manners… I'm Cosmos, Screwball's mother."

"Her mother?!" The Crusaders exclaim in shock.

"Yes. It is a very long story, but I'll explain it in due time," Cosmos says.

Luna uses her magic to grab Capper, "Bad kitty. Say, let's keep…"

"The rest for fun later. But these two…" Celestia says, looking at the unconscious Big Mac and Zecora and using her magic to hold the stars.

Meanwhile, Applejack is still trapped in the cage. Suddenly, smoke appears making a poof. Capper that is transformed into a kitten appears… along with the Crusaders and Pinkie Pie.

Pinkie groans, "What happened?"

"My head hurts," Apple Bloom says.

Suddenly, Applejack hurries over, "Apple Bloom."

"Applejack!" Apple Bloom exclaims in shock.

Scootaloo asks, "What happened? Twilight is acting crazy!"

"That's not Twilight, she had that her name is Cosmos," Applejack says.

"Yeah. Apparently she's supposed to be Screwball's mom," Sweetie Belle says, still stunned.

Meanwhile, Celestia uses her magic to play one star on Zecora's ear and the other one on Big Mac's collar. Soon, the two are possessed as well.

Zecora says, "I feel so much more complete!"

"But I'm so bored waiting for all the stars. There are still two left," Twilight says.

"Say, why don't we have some fun and…" Luna says.

Then Celestia says, "Go and have the one already in our possession help us get the last ones for us?"

"Yep," Big Mac says.

More ponies have been possessed by Cosmos and the more she possesses the stars, the more her powers will grow. It will be a matter of time before two more will be put under Cosmos' spell and she will rule Equestria.
