Girls Room
Piper, Sami, Lila, and Lizzy sat down in their room, talking about today's elimination and filling Lila in on their plan.
"So we want to get rid of Shawn?" Lila asked.
"Yes," Piper replied. "We give out fake information to Mickey, who will believe anything we say, and then he'll give it to his alliance. When it turns out to be wrong, his new alliance will do the dirty work for us."
"I just don't think Mickey really wanted to be with the guys, though." Sami pointed out. "So what's the point of punishing someone who's loyal to us?"
"He still made the choice to follow Shawn," Piper spoke up. "We have to push him out for it, and besides, a final five sounds better than a final six."
"Final five?" Sami asked. "Who's our fifth?" As she said that, Naomi walked into the room, and Piper pointed at her as she wasn't looking.
"Hey, Naomi. Can we talk?" Naomi watched as the four girls were seated across from each other - Sami and Lila on one bed and Lizzy and Piper on the other.
"Sure." She said, sitting next to Sami. "What's up?"
"How would you like to be in a girl's alliance?"
Boys Room
"So, the girls are probably plotting to get one of us out right now. Who should we get out?" Shawn asked.
"Dude, we're outnumbered. One of us is going to go." Xavier noted.
"How do you know the girls are working together?" Dustin asked suspiciously.
"Sami and Piper are best friends, Sami's friends with Naomi, Lizzy follows Piper around like a lost puppy. Of course, they're working together." Shawn said, covering his butt from suspicion.
"So how are we going to guarantee our safety this week? One of us is going to go home." Mickey said, sulking.
"Which of the girls do we think we could get on our side?" Xavier asked.
"The vote is in 10 minutes, how are we going to find someone to vote with us in time?" Shawn asked. He took a pillow and threw it to the other side of the room, frustrated. "God. Now one of us is probably going to go. Just great."
Confession Cam
Mickey: You know what? We wouldn't be in danger if Shawn didn't turn his back from Piper. Just saying.
"Whatever happens, at least one of us is safe and not them," Xavier said, noting Dustin's success on the elimination.
"This is just going to be a recurring issue, though. If they're all working together, this entire game is going to be handed to them." Dustin said. "He's right, we have to figure out who we can get on our side or this entire game will be between the five of them. We can't all get immunity every single challenge."
For the first time, the boys had nothing productive to say. They knew they had to find someone who would spy for them while voting with them if they had any chance of making it towards the end. Just as Xavier was about to say something, there was an announcement on the loudspeaker.
"Contestants! Please make your way to the auditorium for the voting ceremony."
"Shit." Shawn said under his breath. "I'll figure something out, just… I don't know, we'll vote for Naomi, and I'll talk to Lila to vote with us."
The boys began walking out of the room one by one to not raise any suspicion by those in the halls, and they slowly made their way to the auditorium. As they sat down, they noticed the girls walking in, and Shawn quickly made a move to get to Lila without anyone noticing. He took her by the shoulder and swooped her to the back of the auditorium.
"Hey, Lila." She was confused, but after everything she heard about Shawn, she knew he was trouble.
"Hi." She said back.
"Vote for Naomi, and we'll keep you safe, okay?" Shawn told her. She nodded her head, and quickly walked back to a random empty seat as if he was never there.
Confession Cam
Lila: I am starting to think everyone is treating me like a non-English speaker who doesn't matter in the game. I learned more English and I'm still treated like I only speak Italian. I saw the way Piper looked at Naomi the way she did to me. She wants numbers and does not care about me.
Once Chris realized everyone who needed to be here was here, he got up to the stage and began speaking.
"Good afternoon, contestants! Congrats on making it to the merge! Please cast your votes in the tablets in front of you. Remember, Dustin has immunity this week, so you can't vote for him."
Everyone knew their choice, which made them immediately put their votes in for Chris to see.
"All right, let's make this suspenseful. Our first few safe are… Sami, Xavier, and Lila. Our next three are safe… Piper and Lizzy. This leaves us with three left… Shawn or Mickey."
As Chris paused, he looked at all three contestants. Mickey was scared, as he had no idea what he could have done to be in the top three votes. Shawn got nervous but didn't show it. Naomi had a small reservation of doubt since she was just brought into this alliance less than an hour ago, but hoped for the best.
"Our two safe are… Mickey and Naomi." The two sighed a breath of relief, and Shawn began to feel very angry and confused.
"Me? Why me?" Shawn said.
"It was 5-3. That's the game. Sorry. Go ahead and step out." Shawn looked over to Mickey as he sat down, and Mickey gave him a hug.
"I'll miss you, my friend!" He said. Shawn began to walk out, Sami crying into his shoulder as he hugged her.
"I'm sorry. I had to." He was too upset to give her any sort of words of comfort and walked over to Xavier and Dustin.
"Sorry it had to be you, man." Xavier said, pulling him into a hug. Even though Xavier was on his side, he was still too blindsided by those who voted him out. He began to walk out of the building, not wanting to talk to anyone. Just like that, Shawn became the second Total Drama Arts alumni to be eliminated. Chris began to speak to the teens in the microphone as Shawn had gone.
"Our next challenge will be an old fan favorite from last year… Partners at a random draw! Your partner has been randomly selected and the two of you will be competing with each other. And not only are you required to work with someone random, you've also been given a type of performing art and style. I will not be judging this challenge, and not only will there be rewards for the duo who does the best, but also consequences, even if you aren't in dead last for the competition. More on that later." Chris began to laugh as he looked down at a list.
"Xavier will be working with Piper on a song that has a science-fiction theme. Lizzy will be working with Sami on an acting scene that has a teen drama theme. Naomi will be working with Mickey on an acting scene that has a military-action theme. And finally, Dustin and Lila will be working on an acting scene that has an apocalyptic-theme." Chris turned his face to the cameras.
"Join us next week on this exciting challenge for Total Drama Arts!"
A/N: Oof. I'm sorry for this mess of a chapter. I've been pondering over what to do for WEEKS and I've been doing schoolwork too, but I knew I had to get this done sooner or later. Thanks for waiting, and I would apologize to Shawn's OC but I created him in honor of a friend I had when I wrote season 1 of TDArts, lol. So apologies to myself, I guess. One more thing I'd like to spread the word on - I am creating a "story version" for the comic series "Total Trauma". It is on Tumblr if you'd like to see it, totaltraumacomics is the user! I volunteered and asked to make it into a story so it's more accessible to those who are blind or have low vision and rely on a screenreader, or just those who find the font used on the comics hard to read. It was originally in a script format, but when we changed it to a narrative format I thought it made the best sense to put it up on Fanfiction and it'll be up tonight or tomorrow under the account "Total Trauma".
