Twenty Six

Jackie woke in the early hours of the morning feeling a small twinge ,

"Steven. Wake up i think it's time " Hyde groggily opens his eyes and sits up,

"You sure doll?" He asks turning on the bedside lamp,

"I am now ew! My water just broke!" Hyde calmly get out the bed and changes into a t-shirt and jeans ,

"Okay doll relax. I will go get your bag and call kitty then we'll get on our way "

"First help me change. I can't go out looking like this!" Steven sighs before grabbing her maternity dress and helps her put it on,

"Fabulous Jackie now sit while I get everything ready " Steven rushes into the babies room and grabbed the bag with all they needed before picking up the phone on the landing and dialing,

"Hello?" Kitty mumbles half asleep,

"Mrs foreman im sorry for ringing so late but Jackie's waters have broken were on our way to hospital!"

"Its time. RED GET UP ITS TIME!" Steven moves the phone away from his ear smiling amused, before heading back into the bedroom to find Jackie sat on the bed deeply breathing,

"Contraction?"

"A small one. Steven I am freaking out" Steven sits beside her and rubs her back,

"Listen to me its all going to be fine. I am with you all the way " Jackie nods her head grabbing his hand ,

"Okay its stopped . Can we get going now. I want the drugs near by when I need them!" Steven helps her up and both slowly make their way downstairs.

Kitty was excitedly rushing through the house as Eric and Red watched her half asleep,

"Kitty for the love of God get in the car!"

"Well excuse me Red for being prepared!"

"Come on !" Red leads everyone out the house to find Bob and Donna about to get into his car ,

"Hello all!"

"Hi Bob! Isn't it exciting!"

"It certainly is Kitty " they all get into their cars and head for the hospital.

Jackie was lying in the hospital bed hyde sat beside her holding her hand,

"How you feeling doll?"

"Okay. Just the waiting around you know. You okay?"

"Of course baby . Our little girl will be here soon" Jackie smiles as he kisses her head , when the doctor enters the room,

"Hello Mr and Mrs hyde , right I'm afraid I have to examine you "

" okay " Jackie screws her face up slightly as the doctor examined her,

"I'm afraid you have a wait . Your only dilated three " Jackie groans lying her head back down on the pillow as hyde strokes her hair. Kitty and the others enter the room Kitty hugs them both,

"Hey Kitty we have ages to go"

"Oh its alright angel we will stay here for you honey"

"Aw thank you. I'm so thirsty!"

"I will get you some iced chips sweetie" Kitty heads out the room as Red sits down pulling out a newspaper,

"Well Jackie your looking good. Seriously how painful is it?" Donna asks making Jackie shake her head,

"You won't have a problem Donna your a giant!" Hyde laughs,

"True plus if the kid is as scrawny as foreman you won't feel a thing!" Jackie laughs before leaning forward and panting,

"Okay baby squeeze my hand" Jackie takes stevens hand and breathes slowly through the contraction.

It was eight in the morning when Jackie got whisked away to the delivery room,

"I need to push!" Jackie begins pushing panting at the same time,

"Okay thats good Jackie. Now on the count of three I want you to push even harder for me " Steven stroked her hair whilst holding her hand,

"I'm proud of you doll your doing amazingly!" Jackie pushes again her face dripping in sweat ,

"The head and shoulders are out now one massive push Jackie!" Jackie exhausted starts to cry,

"Steven I can't...I am so tired"

"I know doll but Amber is nearly here . Well push together " Jackie nods her head as she begins to push moments later the noise of crying making her cry harder,

"Your a mother to a beautiful baby girl!" The midwife hands the baby over to Jackie both mesmerised by her,

"Welcome to the world Amber Kitty Hyde!" Hyde kisses Jackie before stroking Amber's cheek,

"Oh Steven she is so perfect "
