Dash is a tall and lean young adult with light green eyes and likes to style his hair differently and color it often. His most noticeable feature is his tattoo sleeve on his right arm that does onto his pectoral. He has a feathered earring pierced on his right ear on occasion, but both of his ears are pierced and he will wear bullet piercings. Dash often likes to dress in high Selan fashion with contemporary and modern looks and takes great pride in his shoes. While he bears no commonalities with Jet, even in complexion, this can be attributed to the many dominant genes he received from his mother. Dash's Fairy Tail tattoo is black with pink outlining it and rests between his shoulder blades.

Dash has a sly personality and often likes to tease his friends and guildmates. While he has a reputation as a drug user due to his past, Dash himself has abstained from drugs after a certain point, but he makes no effort to correct people who think lowly of him because he does not care about other people's opinions about him. He is known to be a smart and calculated businessman and is currently part-time in a nearby college to complete his business degree alongside a degree in accounting. Dash has a wide reputation with women, but it was only after an intimate night he shared with Julia Fullbuster that he desired to let go of his bad habits.
Dash has a complicated relationship with his father Jet. He does not acknowledge Jet in any familial terminology and evades any attempts Jet makes at establishing a parent-child connection. He remains civil due to his love for his half-sister Iris, but he despises Jet for reasons not revealed yet. It is revealed, however, their complications went so deep that Dash moved into his own place at a young age to be away from Jet. He has a complex relationship with Amber Olietta-Stryker as well due to their sexual relationship, though he has made it clear he is trying to relieve himself of their relationship. Jaxton Yang, Gale Redfox, and Cane Alberona-Groh serve as his best friends and he has shown incredible patience and loyalty with them.
Dash is a dedicated member of Fairy Tail and to his friends. He enjoys taking long motorcycle rides to clear his head after a stressful day and has a close relationship with his dog Wally. He has an interest in non-fiction novels and old records and is a great cook and mixologist.

Inertia and Impulse
Like Jet, Dash is a natural speedster and has broken records with his speed. However, Dash's Magic takes it a step farther. He has the capabilities of controlling speed, motion, and even friction to an extent. While this Magic can be incredibly powerful, it is just as dangerous. Dash has acknowledged the reason he does not use his Magic often is due to the effects it can have on the body when constantly used. While he has a high metabolism, if he uses his Magic too often, it can cause a risk of an arrhythmic heartbeat that can be too fast or too slow and lead to heart failure. He reserves his Magic for times of emergencies only when he can help it or when he is running late.

—Dash was the one to give himself the nickname "Dash". His original nickname was "Speedy", but he detested that name at a young age and demanded people call him "Dash" instead and, thankfully, it stuck.
—Dash admitted in an interview his Magic had the side effect of ADHD which he takes medication for and he takes supplements to control his metabolism. But he admitted he, like the Dragon Slayers, have been banned from eating contests and many buffets since all of them can easily out-eat everyone in the vicinity and still be hungry.
—The reason Dash's guild mark has a ring of pink is a dedication to his younger sister Iris.
—Dash's dog Wally is a trained drug-sniffing and firearm-sniffing dog. Even though Wally appears to be hyper and a lap dog, should he smell a firearm or drugs, he turns into a vicious guard dog and alerts Dash instantly.
—Dash's birthday coincides with the release of Pokémon 2000.
—Dash photo-bombed a famous couple's gender reveal as he was speeding. He did not know he had until someone showed him the picture posted on social media and it haunts him to this day.
