Chapter 40

Penelope couldn't believe her ears. The man she'd been in love with for years, was now in front of her pouring out his heart and asking her to become his wife. She was speechless, all her dreams were finally coming true. She loved him with all her heart and nothing would ever change that. She was the luckiest woman on the planet for she now had everything that she could ever want. Well, except for children with her prince that is.

Penelope was brought out of her reverie when a terrified Derek spoke up, "Ummm, baby, you going to leave your man hanging here? If you don't—"

She suddenly realized she was scaring him by not giving him a response. She took a deep breath to try and calm herself down and cut him off mid-sentence. "Awww, Handsome! I'm sorry!"

Derek's heart shattered with those two words. He dropped her hand quickly as if he'd been burned by it and bowed his head.

Penelope immediately realized her mistake and grabbed his chin and brought his face up to look him directly in his eyes when she properly answered. She was sporting a huge grin on her face as she replied, "Ohhh, handsome! I didn't mean to upset you. Yes, Yesss, a thousand times, yessss! I will marry you, my love! I was just so shocked. I love you, my prince now and forever!"

Derek whooped out, "Yessssss! You scared me, woman! Really?"

She nodded her head rapidly and grabbed a hold of his hand. "Yes, really, silly! It just took a minute for it to sink in that you wanted to marry me. That's all, I swear!"

Derek temporarily let go of her hand and shakily removed the ring from its box. He then slowly placed it on her ring finger and guided it down to its new home. He then leaned in and place a soft and tender kiss to her lips.

When they pulled apart, he confirmed, "I love you with all that I am, Baby! You are my everything and I promise you will never regret it. I will stop at nothing to make you the happiest woman in the world."

Derek got off his knee and sat down next to Penelope as she responded, "Awwww, my Noir Hero you already make me the happiest I have ever been. You're always there for me, you've never let me down and you are just you. That's all I've ever wanted or needed. Well…that and maybe a few Mini-Hot Stuffs."

He leaned closer to her and murmured in her ear, "Don't forget about a few Mini-Baby Girls, too! I want many little babies who look just like their gorgeous Momma. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You make me whole and feel like I can accomplish anything with you right by side."

Penelope's tears started up again, "You always know what to say and you keep me strong. I have dreamt about this day for years, ya know. I wouldn't have lasted this long at the BAU if it wasn't for you and all your encouragement and support. There was a mountain of times that I just wanted to quit and run away. But then I would hear your sweet voice and you would calm me down and help to chase all my fears away. I will always be grateful for getting arrested and Hotch's offer of the job, instead of jail, because it led me to you. You've always been my anchor, my best friend, and I will love you forever and ever."

Derek gazed into his future wife's eyes, "Well, I guess that makes us even. Because you are all those things and more to me. When you turned around after I called you Baby Girl, my heart skipped a few beats and I knew then and there you were the only woman for me. It's too bad that I was a chicken and wasted so much time to tell you how I really felt. That is definitely my largest regret. But I have a confession to make."

Penelope's eyebrows instantly shot up and she was totally intrigued, "Ohhh, do tell, Sugar Shack."

Derek blushed and sheepishly gawked at her, "I've been carrying around your ring in my go-bag for years now. I originally bought it after you got shot. I tried to tell you then how I felt but then you hooked up with that doofus Lynch. I just assumed you were happy and that's all I ever wanted for you. So, I just stayed in the best friend role."

Penelope furiously shook her head, "What? I always thought you meant that as a friend thing. You never made a move or said anything else after that. So, when Kevin asked me out, I said yes. I was settling but I was afraid of being alone forever, as well. I never thought you could ever love me the way I always prayed that you would. I guess we were both foolish dopes. But not anymore. I got you and you have me, always."

He leaned in closer to his fiancée, "You got that shot right, hot mama!"

They gazed into each other's eyes for several long seconds as Derek brought his lips just inches away for hers. Penelope brought her face in closer and they began a kiss that started out soft, sweet and loving. It swiftly turned hot and passionate. After a few minutes, without breaking their connection, Derek slowly and gently guided her body down onto the blanket. They continued to fiercely kiss for a long while, only stopping long enough to gasp in some air, so they could go on. It was like they couldn't get enough of one other.

Derek finally pulled back slightly to ask, "Are you up to this, my gorgeous Goddess? I want to make love to you so badly, right now. I don't think I can last any longer without the feeling of being inside of you. I need to be one with you!"

Penelope breathily answered, "Ohhh, my love, I want you just as much. As a matter of fact, I got the all-clear from the doctor. I want and need you soo much, too! Make love to me, handsome! Make me yours in every way!"

Derek grinned and devoured her with his eyes. "Your wish is my command, Baby Girl!"

With that, their lips were all over each over. Penelope lifted his shirt up and tried to take it off him. He pulled back and finished the job for her and flung it off to the side. Her hands reached for his shorts and boxers and started to slide them down his sexy butt. He leaned back and removed them as well and tossed them in the same direction as his shirt.

Penelope stared at him in awe and immediately wrapped her hand around his enlarged member which was rock hard. "Damn, I was right when I named you a sculpted God! Is all of that for little 'ole me?"

Derek groaned as she rubbed her hand up and down his engorged shaft. The things that she was doing to him with just a touch was better than anything he'd ever imagined or experienced.

Derek looked down at the woman lying in front of him. "Damn, woman! Every inch of it is only for you. If you don't stop that though, this is gonna be over way too soon. Let's at least make it fair and let's get that beautiful dress off you."

Penelope fake pouted and let her hand drop. He helped her to sit up, reached around and unzipped her dress. He deliberately slid it off her shoulders and slowly began to peel it away from her skin. His eyes bugged out as he got his very first sight of her girls. They were gorgeous and he couldn't wait to ravish them both and taste her for the very first time. He'd fantasized about this moment forever. She placed both hands on the blanket, raised her hips up and he slid the dress all the way off and tossed it towards the pile of clothes.

Penelope winked at him as he practically drooled, "Do you like what you see?"

As Derek slid her panties off next, he practically stuttered, "Ohh Sweetness, I love what I see! You are absolutely perfect in every way. Just like I always knew you would be. Your ladies are luscious, your curves are in all the right places and I can't wait to taste you! I know you will definitely be sweet."

As the day went by, they made mad intense love off and on. They couldn't get enough of each other. They also went skinny dipping in the lake and made love in the water. They danced and finished up their meal and dessert. They even took turns sweetly feeding each other the grapes and strawberries making sure they licked off the extra juices that escaped from their lips. After watching the beautiful sunset around them, they picked everything up and headed to the cabin.

The rest of the night was spent having a little dinner and making sweet, sweet passionate love. They had so much lost time to make up for. They finally fell asleep many hours later out of sheer exhaustion.

The next morning, they woke up and made love some more. They decided to go for a swim and have another small picnic before they headed back to Casa Rossi. Penelope was completely excited to tell the family their wonderful news. They were both on cloud nine.
