Hi Everybody,

Sorry for missing Tuesday, we lost power and the internet. Sooo… Mystery Rowena is finally being revealed – not that it's really a surprise I'm sure. I hope that you are all enjoying the story. We are only a chapter away for the dance. Let you hear what is going on in those pretty little heads of yours. Happy Reading.

I don't own any of the Twilight characters and materials. I only make them pose for an ungodly number of pictures… well, Alice does.

Chapter 25: Mystery Rowena

Esme went to open the door, and we walked as a group to the living room door jamb of the living room.

"Hey, Emmett, sweetie," she said, embracing him. "And who is your better half?"

We can see Esme smirk because – being school board president – she knew everyone and their family. My money was on nonchalantly reminding Emmett that gentlemen introduce their dates.

"Mrs. C, I believe you know Miss Hale from down the road," Emmett said, Vanna White-ing Rosalie. Good boy Emmy.

"Yes, knew it," Alice cheered quietly in my ear.

"Thank God. I honestly don't think there is another person in our class I wouldn't want to kill by the end of the night," I said back.

"Why I believe I do. Nice to see you again, Miss Hale. How are your parents and little Henry?"

"Nice to see you again also, Mrs. Cullen. They are wonderful. Henry is…a little brother," Rose answered shyly, completely contradicting her outfit. For the love of God, and I thought Alice looked grown-up. Rose's hair was pinned to the right side of her head and draped over her shoulder. Her dress was a shade or two deeper than a fire engine with a halter v-neck top, flowing loose down to her ankles with a slit up to her knee. Her feet clad in matching strapped 3"-inch clog heels. Around her neck, she had a long necklace with a small butterfly pendant falling perfectly to the middle of her necklace. She made Alice and me look like we were going to the sixth-grade sock hop.

"Hey, Bella, holy sh…crap. How many hours did that take? Just kidding, Bells, really. You look sensational, baby sister. You, too, Ali. You two better understand how lucky you are," Emmett said, pointing between Edward and Jasper, and Alice was right. Perfectly Emmett, a jokester on the outside, and caring, amazing big brother underneath.

"Thank you, Emmy." Alice and I cooed together.

"Hmm, Emmy?" Rose said, pondering that. "I like it. I think I'm going to keep that one. Thank you."

The three of us laughed as Emmett pouted a little. Yep, she was definitely going to fit right in.

"What the hell?" Emmett said, which only set us off again, and the boys joined in.

"Okay, kiddos. Now that everyone's here, let's get outside and take some pictures. It's just after six now, and we should leave by about 6:45," Esme said, opening the door and motioning to us like a runway attendant.

And take pictures we did. All of us together, each couple, all four of the boys, the three of us girls. We took one with our little siblings, one with our parents. Alice was working from a list that she was actually ticking off each as we finished. Then came the funny ones. Edward Jasper, and Emmett holding Jake sideways. Alice, Rose, and I posing like Charlie's Angels. Me with the 'Collis boys', carefully draped as Jake had been. Each duo of the boys doing the Titanic poses on Carlisle and Esme's front porch. In one, Emmett stood really close to the camera and flexed so that it looked like we were standing on his bicep. One of us looking down at the camera in a circle. One of Jake and I cowering way from the 'vampires'. Us piggybacking on the boys, Jake borrowed a very bouncy Tinkerbell. I had been right. If I had done this costume alone, I would have felt stupid all night. Having all of us doing it together makes each of our costumes better.

Only after all memory cards were full, were we dismissed by the pixie drill sergeant extraordinaire. We piled into Carlisle truck and Esme's car and headed to the school.

End Note: Next up… the boys have a surprise. And Later… a little bit of dancing.
