Misfit Chapter 27: "Magica And Glomgold's Plan"
"Okay, so have you got the chest?" Violet looked at the others. She had just arrived at McDuck manor. The kids were in the girls' room about to unlock the chest.
"Yerp." April put the chest in front of her.
"I wonder if there's treasure inside!" June rubbed her hands greedily.
May and Huey both exchanged skeptical looks.
"I mean, I hope that there's a clue about what happened to Louie too. But a little treasure couldn't hurt." She smiled sheepishly.
April rolled her eyes, taking the key out of her pocket, "Alright, here it goes!" She turned the key to the right.
Nothing happened.
"I honestly thought this would be more climactic." June deadpanned.
"Whoops, wrong way!" April turned it to the left and the chest opened, revealing…
"A stupid roll of paper?! A roll of PAPER?! Oh man, I am so TICKED OFF RIGHT NOW!" June scowled and crossed her arms.
April opened the roll of paper, "They're blueprints."
May leaned on her shoulder, "For what?"
"I don't know, but judging by the way this is structured, I'd say that it's for something underground." Violet said.
"Wait…did you rub a pencil over this? Junior Woodchuck rule 217: Rub all documents with a pencil." Huey got out a pencil and rubbed it over the back of the document.
"It's just some information about a bank." May realized.
"You're right." Huey concurred.
"Why would they have information about a bank?" June asked.
"I don't know." Huey admitted. He curled the bottom part of his beak, but just as he was about to say something, June interrupted him, "Hold that thought! Ottoman Empire's playing! Gotta go!" She rushed out of the room and into the living room, snatching the remote.
She gawked at the screen.
"Heyyyyy….guys? There's something you might want to check out."
Huey, Violet, April, and May all sat down on the couch.
"What are you kids doing watching the news?" Della asked, entering the room with Donald, Beakley, Webby, Dewey, and Scrooge behind her.
"What on earth is THAT?!" Everyone exclaimed at once.
- A Few Hours Ago, Unknown Location-
"Yes! YES! Our plan is flawless!" Magica cackled.
"MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Glomgold joined in.
"NO! I do the cackling!" Magica slapped him. She turned around, "Now, where's the boy?" She turned around and saw Louie's body in the corner of the room.
She walked up to the amulet, "Now watch, Llewellyn."
"Glomgold, get in control." Magica ordered. As soon as Glomgold closed his eyes, Louie's opened. But they were black with red pupils.
"Yes! YEEEEEEESSSSS!" Magica laughed evilly, "Feed on my power!" She got her scepter and pointed it Louie's body.
Louie/Glomgold grinned.
"Let's go over the plan one more time." Magica cleared her throat, but she was cut off by Louie/Glomgold.
"I already know it by heart." Louie/Glomgold replied, "Rob the bank, wreak havoc, get attention, and then lure McDuck over here so we can kill him and enact our evil vengeance on CLAN MCDUCK!"
Magica smirked. She took out her phone, "Mark Beaks? Are you here?"
"Yep. Sooooooooo to be clear, ya want me to hack the security cameras at this place."
Magica sighed, "Yes, Marcus!"
"Annnnnnnnnd then what?"
"I want you to hack the cameras as soon as Louie-Glomgold- enters. However, be sure to not hack it before Louie's in the building. I want McDuck to get suspicious."
- Back At McDuck Manor-
"This is Roxanne Featherly, reporting live from Duckburg. A masked criminal just broke into Duckburg Bank! The whole building is currently in flames, thankfully, there are no casualties. However, a lot of money has been stolen. The cameras were hacked into by a genius mastermind, who apparently got past all of the security systems. The little footage investigators managed to acquire reveals a duckling in green with a black mask surrounded by mysterious purple orbs of supernatural energy; similar to those in the shadow war. Although nobody is certain this is the case, the small duckling looks a lot like Llewellyn Duck, nephew of the great Scrooge McDuck, who went missing a few months back. For more information, we go to Officer Kimberly…"
"Did everyone just see that?" Della gasped.
"MAGICA! That no good-" Scrooge started, only to be cut off by Beakley.
"How can we even be sure it's Magica? She lost most of her powers, and the little powers she had left, she used for disappearing acts at Funso's."
"We may not be sure that was Magica, but that was most definitely Louie." Della insisted, "I'd know him anywhere."
"Why would Louie rob a bank?" Beakley asked.
June, Violet, April, May, and Huey exchanged worried glances. What were they supposed to say, "Oh, one of the villains is possessing him, that's why!"
"I don't know, but hey, on the bright side, at least he's alive." Webby shrugged.
Dewey face-palmed.
"This makes no sense." Donald squawked.
Just then, Huey accidentally dropped the blueprints he was holding behind his back.
"Hey, what's this?" Dewey grabbed it.
Huey bit his beak. He looked over at the bickering adults and hoped that they weren't paying attention to them.
Dewey shrugged and pocketed the paper, walking away.
"Big brain, HUBERT!" June scolded him, "Now we've got to get that page back from Dewey without raising suspicions! Can't you at least do ONE THING right?!"
Huey laughed nervously.
"It's okay; we'll get the blueprints back and figure out what they mean." Violet said.
April sighed, "So, what do we have so far?"
"Glomgold and Magica made Louie steal money from a bank, probably to get attention and lure us to them. They left the blueprints here so we could find them!" June realized, "They acted like they didn't want us to find the chest so that we would think just that! It all makes sense!"
"So what do we do know?" May asked.
June responded, "We'll still go to the place they want us to go. However, we won't be completely unprepared like they're expecting. We'll need to come up with a plan of our own. But first, we need to get the blueprints back from Dewey."
"Let's do this!" May squealed.
"Shhhhhh not so loud! The grown-ups!" June hissed.
"Let's do this!" May whisper-shouted.
I know this chapter was titled, "Magica And Glomgold's Plan, "even though Mark Beaks was in on it too. I didn't include him in the title because I felt like he didn't play a major role. At least, not in this chapter.
