Harry opened his eyes to the LOAD and RESET button again. " Back so soon? Tsk, tsk. " Dr. Gaster said snidely.

"Well maybe if you gave me more advice than just 'focus on going back,'" Harry complained.

" Do you really need me to spell it out for you? Stupid human. " Dr. Gaster sneered.

"Hybrid, thanks," Harry responded. "And apparently I do, because trying to change things isn't as easy as you make it seem."

" I never said it would be easy, " Dr. Gaster said. " Go back and try again. "

"Wait, but what do I-" Colors were wheeling around him suddenly, without him even focusing on going back.

"Shit!" Harry muttered as Asgore formed in front of him and was giving his speech again. "Dad! We have to -"

Sans popped in again. "Let's get you out of here, kid," Sans said.

Sans pulled him along, leaving Asgore staring after them in confusion.

"I don't think so," Flowey popped in front of them. He had eyes all for Harry. "Not gonna give up? Soon you will," he sneered, and then he was flying away from them, knocked aside by Sans' blue magic.

But he recovered quickly, creating thorny arms to catch him around the archway they had been going through. He created a wall of vines as the monster guards shouted and rushed at them.

"Just you and me, Smiley. And you know you can't win."

"Really? Can't I, without your precious time-warping?" Sans threw back at Flowey, and soon bones tore up the vines heading toward them.

Harry dodged a vine thrown his way, and wished he had a weapon of some sort. Then, the next thing he knew, a vine was emerging from his chest, torn straight through his body. He stared at Sans, who was looking at him in dismay.

Then, everything went black again. "A better try, I suppose. At least you got away from the crowd. They didn't need to see that pathetic attempt at surviving. " Dr. Gaster was still sneering at him.

Harry swiped an arm at Dr. Gaster, but the skeleton man just reformed around the hand. " I'm not corporeal, you idiot. "

Harry sighed. "What am I supposed to do? We got out of the way as soon as possible," he said.

" How am I supposed to know? " Dr. Gaster answered snidely. "Learn how to fight yourself. Now get back there, and try to survive longer than five minutes this time. "

Harry resigned himself to going back, and colors wheeled around him, Asgore forming in front of him.

He stared down at his hands, remembering how they had, with a swipe, knocked back some of Flowey's pellets. Maybe he could learn to harness that power as a defense.

He looked around him, and then Sans appeared at his side. "Shortcut, kid." he said, and in the next moment, they were in the middle of Snowdin. Harry took in a sharp breath, and his wings rustled behind him. "OK, kid, what the fuck is going on? How are you resetting? You have an Integrity Soul, not a Determined one," Sans said.

"Dr. Gaster," Harry said grimly without any other explanation, and Sans let out a gush of air, sighing.

"I thought so. Well, we should-"

"Give in? That's a great idea!" Flowey popped up in front of them. "I thought I'd find you here. You're getting predictable, Trashbag."

"Look, what's your problem with me, Flowey? I haven't done anything to you!" Harry blurted out angrily.

"You stole my power, for one thing," Flowey said snidely. "For another, you're trying to replace Chara!"

"I told you, I'm not replacing anybody! Just because I become part of the family doesn't mean-" Harry started, but Flowey interrupted him.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sure you're pure and full of good intentions, but I'm not buying it," Flowey spat.

"Well you obviously can't kill me and keep me dead, so what is the point of continuing to try to kill me?" Harry shot back.

Flowey opened his mouth to say something, but then shut it, before bouncing up and down, obviously thinking. "Fine! But you have to stop that other stupid human that comes after you! They keep killing me, and I'm not a fan of being dead."

Harry paused. "What other human?"

"Their name is Frisk, and they have been a nightmare to deal with," Sans said.

"Wait, you knew about this?" Harry demanded. "What the hell, Sans?"

"Yeah, what the hell, Smiley Trashbag," Flowey mocked.

"Shut up, you weed," Sans shot at Flowey. "And yes, I knew about the human coming, but everything's been topsy turvy ever since you came, I didn't know if they would even come back this timeline."

Harry closed his eyes, praying for patience. "FIne. Tell me about this human."
