Chapter twenty-six planning
Noah's POV
I looked at Daisy, for the first time since her arrival. I had been too busy looking at Elle, and appreciating how unbelievably beautiful she looked tonight.
Something had seemed to pass between Daisy and Elle, whilst I had been occupied. Daisy was a good-looking girl, she looked like the girl I would have normal messed around with, before tossing aside when I got too bored.
But those days where long behind me…
"I'm happy that you feel that way Elle. This is an honour for us. Its sure to bring a lot of business our way" Megan said to Elle happily. Elle blushed and I reached up to touch the pink of her cheek.
I loved it when she blushed…
"But I…" Daisy said, then trailed off, not knowing what else to say. She looked rather scared at the prospect of organising our wedding. But then, she was only assisting, so I wasn't too worried that she would mess things up. I knew that no wedding planner, who wanted to stay in business, would dare mess this up for us.
My mom started to talk about the plans, but Megan told her that there was no point. We could leave everything up to her and Daisy and not worry about a thing. This seemed to please Elle. She started chatting with Daisy.
Women were odd creatures…
Elle's POV
I don't know why I felt like I wanted to be friends with Daisy, but I really did.
"So, Daisy. You're pretty young to be a wedding planner" I said, attempting conversation with her. She grimaced in displeasure. When she answered, with an explanation of not needing college, it felt like she was telling me a much-rehearsed story.
"What made you want to be a wedding planner?" I asked, attempting to start up a conversation again.
"I'm not really sure. I have loved planning and organising since I was a child. The fact that it's a family business, is just a happy coincidence" she said with a bright smile.
The conversation continued easily after that. I found that she was so sincere and passionate.
I really did have the wrong idea of her…
After the first course, I noticed that Lee had been oddly quiet. I frowned at him. He smiled weakly back at me. I worried that, maybe he wasn't as understanding as I thought he was.
Maybe Lee was just pretending?
Daisy's eyes flickered towards Lee too, because I had stopped our conversation to look at him.
Lee's POV
When we all went down to meet our guest, I was thinking about Racheal. I wondered where she was right now? I didn't care about her at all anymore. But I felt like I should warn the other poor souls about what kind of person she really was. No one, besides my family and Elle, knew what she had done. This unsettled me, Racheal clearly needed professional help. She was an unstable person, and there was nothing to stop her from doing something like that to someone else.
I also, felt a bit guilty about it. Because I couldn't help but worry if it was my fault somehow. I thought, that I had been a good boyfriend to her.
But maybe, something I had done. Had changed her into this monster?
Thoughts of Racheal went out my head as I looked up, into a face, I could only describe as an Angels. Her blonde hair was like a halo around her, it made her glow. Her skin looked smoother than silk and I found myself itching to touch it. Her eyes, were the clearest blue I had ever seen, and I felt like I was floating into them.
All too soon, she looked away from me, down at the floor.
She was very polite as we sat down to dinner. I couldn't stop starring at her. I wanted her to look at me again. I itched to sink into her eyes again. Everything else about her appearance, I had barely noticed.
I didn't really pay attention to the conversation around me, I was unusually quiet while I watched the goddess in front of me. I accidently knocked my knife on the floor, and I tore my eyes away from her to retrieve it.
When I resurfaced, I caught Elle's eye. She was frowning at me. And I wondered if she had noticed that I had been drooling over Daisy, ever since she had walked through the door. I felt sheepish and blushed. I didn't want Daisy to think that I was some weirdo. I looked down at the floor, but then I felt someone else looking at me. And I looked up, getting caught in Daisy's eyes again.
She was the first to look away, she was blushing too, and I felt like I had to physically restrain myself from reaching over and touching her pink cheek.
I was quiet for the rest of dinner, sneaking glances at Daisy whenever I thought I could safely get away with it. When they had to leave, I felt a desperate longing. I didn't want her to leave. I wanted her to stay. I wanted us to be alone, so I could get to know her.
But I didn't have an excuse to ask for her to stay. I hadn't even introduced myself to her. She would definitely say no, if I asked her to be alone with me so soon.
I followed Elle upstairs with Noah.
"Noah, would you mind going to get some travel plugs?" Elle said to him sweetly.
Noah frowned at her. "What for? Its Florida Elle, they have the same plugs we do" Noah said.
Elle sighed, "Well, they must get a lot of guests. So, maybe they have different plugs to accommodate for them." Elle said.
Noah continued to frown at her. She shot a quick glance at me, and Noah seemed to understand something. He gave her a quick kiss, before heading back downstairs.
