20: Quidditch and Animals

"You coming to the Pitch with me after class," Lexi asked Lily as they walked to lunch a few weeks later.

"Remus and I have to patrol," Lily sighed.

"Aren't there twenty two other people who can do it other than you and Rem," Lexi complained.

"Yes but," Lily rolled her eyes. "It's a large castle and we rotate."

"That means I have to go alone," Lexi whined. "You better have some time set aside for me. I feel like I have to steal you away ever since you and Jamie got 'friendly.'"

"Oh stop being dramatic," Lily laughed. "How many times have you ran off with-"

"Alright," Lexi laughed. "I get it."

"How about tomorrow night we go to the studio?"

"Swear," Lexi held up a pinky.

"Swear," Lily wrapped her pinky around Lexi's.

"Lily," they heard James call loudly as they entered the Great Hall. Lily blushed as people started staring and whispering. Lexi rolled her eyes and waved for her to head to the boys. She sat next to Sirius while Lily sat across from her next to James.

"What am I, dragon dung," Lexi teased.

"You're not his prec-," Sirius started.

"Shut up, Sirius," Lily hissed, rolling her eyes. Lexi and Sirius burst into laughter.

"Still coming to practice today, Lex," James asked, smirking.

"To watch, yes," she chuckled. He had been trying to get her to replace Fitz since his first practice. It wasn't that he was bad, he was just too new.

"You sure, Red," Sirius smirked.

"Yes, I'm sure. Besides, I heard one of your Beaters beat the hell out of the Seeker before him. I don't know if I can handle team drama," she smirked at Sirius, making him laugh. As lunch continued Lily began rambling the properties and uses of Valerian Sprigs, James was nodding enthusiastically listening to her. Sirius grinned over at Lexi as she ate. "Stop watching me eat, Black, it's weird," she rolled her eyes.

"It's just hard not to stare," he spoke quietly, a smirk on his lips.

"You know," she turned to face him more. She had a smirk of her own and a twinkle of mischief in her eyes. "You never told me everything you were thinking about." She leaned against the table, her chin resting on her fist. Her eyes were challenging him. His eyes nervously flickered to James, who was still glued on Lily, across the table then back to her. She pointed a finger towards the door and he nodded. They both quickly grabbed their bags and stood.

"Oi, where are you two going," James asked, realizing their movement.

"We are going to go work on some music. You two seemed focused," Lexi grinned and they exited.

"You think that will work," Sirius grinned as they walked.

"Don't see how it wouldn't," Lexi shrugged with her own smile.

"You're just too perfect," Sirius smirked.

"Don't start thinking too highly of me," Lexi giggled as they made their way to an empty class room on the second floor. Sirius sat in a chair at a desk while Lexi sat herself on the desk.

"I don't think that's possible," he chuckled.

"I'm not perfect, Black," Lexi gave him a sly smile. She crossed her legs making her skirt shift up her thighs more. Sirius' eyes raked over her legs staring at the hem resting a little higher than mid thigh. "Knut for your thoughts," she purred. He looked up at her, she had a smirk tugging on her plump lips. He leaned in and kissed her gently.

"Are you sure you want to know, Red," he smirked as he pulled back. She noticed his silver eyes getting a little darker.

"Yes," she said boldly.

"I was thinking about your legs wrapped around me," his smirk didn't budge. She moved her lips closer to his.

"And the other night," she asked breathlessly, biting her lip.

"Just how damn sexy you looked on my motorbike. How hard it is not to just grab you and snog you," he stood up, placing his hands on either side of her leaning on the desk, his face close to hers. They were quiet as they smirked at each other challenging the other to move. "Talk to me about the ride, Red."

"It turned me on so much," she grabbed his tie and wrapped her hand in it. She uncrossed her legs and moved closer. He was now standing between her legs, her lips only an inch from his. Their bodies were close but not touching. "Holding on to you, the engine rumbling between my legs making me wet."

"Fuck, Lex," he growled. His eyes looked almost black now.

"How much self control do you think you have, Sirius," she purred softly tracing the index finger of her free hand along his jaw. She was still smirking, her eyes were glinting mischievously.

"Not much more if you keep doing this," his eyes raked down her body. His thumbs were so close to the bare skin of her thighs. It would take less than a second to take her. The bell rang. She winked and let go of his tie before scooting back and creating more

space between them.

"We don't want to be late," her tone was no longer quiet and seductive but teasing.

"You're wicked, Red," he smirked before standing up fully letting her get off the desk.

"You should know by now, Black," she winked before slipping out of the room. Sirius stared after her amused. He groaned needing to adjust himself. She certainly stirred things in him. James would know if he showed up to class in his current state. Looked like he was going to be late.

"Lex, why'd you two run off when we had class," James asked as she joined him, Lily, and Remus outside the Transfiguration classroom.

"Just had some ideas, you two were occupied anyway," she laughed at the blush that grew on Lily's face.

"Well you and Sirius seemed in a hurry," Lily quipped with a grin. Lexi gave her friend a wide-eyed look.

"Where is Padfoot," James asked suspiciously, raising an eyebrow.

"Haven't seen him since I stopped in the bathroom," Lexi shrugged.

"You sure about that," Remus chuckled.

"Yes," she hissed, giving him a look.

"Something has been going on between you two," James was still looking at her like she was up to something.

"Very observant, Potter. Shocked you've noticed anything lately," she gripped, rolling her eyes. McGonagall opened the door to the classroom letting the class in Lexi and Remus took a seat a few tables over from James and Lily.

"So where is Padfoot," Remus asked quietly with a smirk.

"I thought he was going to be right behind me," she whispered back with a grin.

"Quiet," McGonagall called to the class. She had Lily and Lexi hand out mice and started them on Vanishing spells. Ten minutes into class the door opened and Sirius strolled in taking an open seat behind Lexi.

"Nice of you to join us, Mr. Black," the teacher said tightly. "Ten points from Gryffindor. Come get a mouse and start practicing the vanishing spell." Sirius got a mouse from her desk. As he walked back past Lexi he winked at her. She smirked in response.

"What were you two up to," Remus chuckled.

"I'll fill you and Lily in later," she shook her head still smirking.

XXXXXXXX

"Merlin, you two are going to get caught," Lily laughed as she, Lexi, and Remus left Ancient Runes. They had been paired up and told to translate passages. They had finished pretty quickly and had time to talk so Lexi filled them in on what happened between her and Sirius.

"We haven't so far."

"Eventually you two will have to figure out something solid," Remus sighed.

"We sort of have," Lexi smirked.

"Sort of isn't something. Yeah, you two have talked and decided you're together, but you're still not public," Remus chuckled, shaking his head.

"We just are figuring out how to be us first. You know, before James loses his shit,"Lexi sighed.

"I don't think James is as opposed as you think, Lex," Lily giggled.

"Fine, we'll think faster," Lexi rolled her eyes with a smile as they reached the Grand Staircase. "I'll see you at dinner," Lexi waved to them as they headed down the stairs and she headed up. She made her way through the crowd in the common room to her dorm. She changed into jeans and a burgundy sweater. Lexi pulled on her black knit cap and added her leather jacket. She put her guitar case on her back and made her way to the pitch. When she got to the pitch she climbed into the stands, pulled out her guitar, and began to play. The team came out after a little while, she paused as she watched. Sirius turned and smiled wolfishly when he saw her.

"Oi, Garrett, pay attention you could learn something," James yelled up to her with a grin. She responded by giving him a rude hand gesture making him laugh. The practice started with James having the team do warm ups tossing the quaffle and practicing maneuvers. After a while they started running plays while Fitz looked for the snitch. Lloyd and Sirius were flying around hitting a Bludger. Lexi began playing again until she noticed Fitz take off towards the snitch she had been tracking for ten minutes. James had other others keep working as he moved on to working with Fitz.

She watched as James taught him a few new dives and tricks. It seemed to be going well, until Fitz didn't turn sharp enough after a dive and skidded across the pitch wall knocking himself off his broom. She winced as she watched James check on him. After he seemed to be okay James called the end of practice. Sirius remounted his broom and flew up to her in the stands. She packed away her guitar.

"Hello, beautiful," he grinned, landing on the bench in front of her.

"Hi," she smiled flirtatiously as he sat next to her.

"What do you think?"

"He's gotten better," she said meekly. "He just gets too excited and loses focus."

"That's what Prongs keeps saying," Sirius chuckled.

"He's young, never played on a team," Lexi shrugged ignoring the comment.

"Again, that's what Prongs says."

"Why do you all call him Prongs," she asked, catching him off guard. "And why are you Padfoot?" He grinned.

"I can't explain that one. James already put his foot down on the subject."

"So it has to do with whatever you all are doing?"

"I can't-"

"I bet I could make you," she smirked at him leaning back on the bench behind her stretching her body out for his view.

"I wouldn't doubt it, Red," he grinned openly checking her out before meeting her eyes again.

"So why were you late?"

"Someone had given me a bit of an issue that I couldn't very well go to class with," he leaned back as well, smirking at her.

"Too bad you couldn't get some help. That pesky bell," she purred, making his jaw drop slightly.

"Oi Black, Potter's gonna blow a gasket if you don't get in here," Lloyed called up from the field.

"Wait for us outside the locker room?" He stood and mounted his broom.

"Yes," she smiled before he flew off. She made her way down to wait outside the locker room. Shortly after the team began leaving. Sirius and James walked over to her.

"Kid still needs work and that was our last practice before Saturday," James groaned.

"He's doing fine," Lexi encouraged as they began walking. "The rest of the team is really good. Just rack up the points and wait for the snitch to be caught to end the game."

"Or…" Sirius smirked at her trailing off.

"No," she hissed, rolling her eyes.

"Maybe I'll just see if he can do an extra practice tomorrow. Just us," James wondered aloud.

"Give the kid a break, Jamie," Lexi laughed. "Let him have a day off before the game."

"You need a day off Prongs," Sirius chuckled. "Besides we have plans tomorrow night."

"What plans might that be," Lexi raised an eyebrow.

"C'mon," James groaned.

"Fine," she smirked over at Sirius who was clearly trying to avoid looking at her.

"What's new with you, Lex," James asked, changing the subject.

"Nothing really. Other than learning how to live with this tosser around more," she laughed pointing over to Sirius. He grinned at her.

"It takes a special skill," James laughed as they made their way down the Gryffindor table to Lily and Peter.

"What can I say, I'm charming," he smirked at Lexi as they sat across from each other. James missed the look between them as he greeted Lily and sat next to her.

"Charming? Is that what you call it," Lexi quipped playfully, not taking her eyes off Sirius'.

"I'd call it pompous," Lily giggled.

"Ouch, Evans," he let out a barking laugh breaking eye contact with Lexi.

"Did Moony already head to the hospital wing," Lexi asked, noticing his absence.

"He got really shaky by the end of our rounds. Was exhausted and looked like he might faint so I took him," Lily said quietly.

"I went and saw him before coming down. He seemed a little better after he got some sleep," Peter added.

"Tomorrow night's going to be tough," Lily sighed. Lexi noticed James and Sirius share a look.

"Do you two have anything to add," Lexi raised an eyebrow.

"No," James said sternly. The conversation changed and dinner continued. Sirius was looking over at Lexi as she laughed with Lily.

XXXXXXXXXX

"I'm happy you two aren't fighting all the time, really," Lexi said as she and Lily began their walk from the Room of Requirement to Gryffindor tower. It was nine thirty, curfew was at ten.

"Are you sure? You get snippy sometimes," Lily smiled at her.

"Yeah, sometimes it just sucks. You're my best friends but you're both being stubborn about admitting feelings so instead you're so intent on spending time "getting to know" each other. I'm just starting to feel selfish."

"We'll fix that," Lily nudged Lexi with her elbow. They climbed into the portrait hole and made themselves comfortable in the window seat. Lexi plucked on her guitar as Lily read a book. The crowd in the common room thinned by eleven. Lily announced she was going to bed shortly after. Lexi stayed up playing staring out over the dark grounds only illuminated by the full moon in the clear sky.

Around two in the morning she thought she saw movement near the edge of the forest. She blinked a few times to make sure she was seeing right. She moved her face closer to the window. She watched as a stag and dog trotted along the edge of the forest. Such an odd sight. The dog looked like it was limping on one of it's back paws. She squeezed her eyes closed and opened them again. They weren't there. She shrugged it off assuming they had gone back into the forest. Maybe thirty minutes later the Portrait hole opened and closed but no one entered. She smirked and kept playing.

"Just take the damned thing off, I know you're there," she said to the empty room.

"Ow," Sirius' voice exclaimed and he appeared seemingly from thin air as he fell out from under the invisibility cloak.

"Shit sorry, Padfoot," James exclaimed as he and Peter appeared as well, the silvery cloak in his hand.

"I'm alright," Sirius grumbled wincing as he stood. He limped over to the couch stretching out his left leg.

"What happened," she asked, moving to sit next to him as James sat in an armchair.

"I'm going to bed," Peter mumbled before heading up the stairs quickly.

"Just had a nasty trip. Twisted my ankle," he grinned at her.

"Are you sure it wasn't from-"

"Lexi, we're fine. I promise," James sighed, rubbing his eyes. She looked at the two of them warily.

"We just don't need anymore of you turning," she gave a weak chuckle. The three sat in silence for a moment. She was staring off into the fire when James spoke again.

"Right, I'm off to bed. Night," he stood and left, leaving Lexi and Sirius alone. She turned in her seat sitting cross legged and facing him.

"Are you sure you're alright," she asked him nervously, biting her lower lip.

"Yeah, I'm fine, Lex," he smiled at her. He adjusted himself, putting his head in her lap and his legs on the arm of the couch. He looked up at her to see her smiling down at him.

"Not that you'd tell me if you weren't?"

"You've seen me pretty messed up, why wouldn't I tell you?"

"I guess that's fair."

"How was girls night?"

"Good and very needed."

"You and Lily share all your secrets," he chuckled.

"Yup, including a few about you," she giggled.

"Oh yeah? What were they," he asked, amused.

"See they wouldn't be secrets then," she grinned.

"C'mon, Lex you can tell me," he winked.

"You tell me, I'll tell you," she smirked.

"I guess neither of us are going to find out then," he laughed.

"I guess not," she smiled before giving into a yawn.

"Get to bed it's late," he got up carefully. She stood packing up her guitar. He walked over to her and gently wrapped his arms around her waist. She turned facing him in his arms. He looked down at her, she looked beautiful in the moonlight coming through the window. She was looking up at him shyly through her thick eyelashes biting her lip nervously.

"Goodnight, Lexi," he said softly. She could feel his chest rumble as he spoke.

"Goodnight, Sirius," she purred. He kissed her softly before she headed up to her dorm. Sirius smiled after her before limping up to his.

"He was limping," Lily hissed incredulously as her and Lexi made their way down to a late breakfast.

"Yes and said he tripped," Lexi rolled her eyes.

"Do they think we are thick," Lily shook her head.

"No, they just think they're more clever," Lexi drawled, they were laughing as they took seats at the table.

"They're lucky it's an afternoon match," Lily said a little while later, looking towards the door while they ate.

"Yeah, not that it's stopped them before. Remember the Hufflepuff Match last year?"

"The one we almost lost, I remember," Lily laughed. Lexi had sounded like a captain after she went off on how stupid the boys had been being out late the night before.

"Blimey," Lexi exclaimed suddenly, her eyes wide. A few students nearby jumped.

"Are you alright," Lily said cautiously.

"I thought I was just getting tired," Lexi babbled.

"Either share or hush up," Lily rolled her eyes with a smile.

"Shortly before they got back I was looking out the window," she kept her voice low and bent her head closer to Lily. "I saw a stag and a dog walking together on the edge of the forest." Lexi was looking at her like she was supposed to understand.

"Strange, but animals could-"

"The dog was limping on its back paw," Lexi hissed. Lily was silent for a moment before her mouth slowly opened.

"Prongs, Padfoot," she whispered.

"There is no way it's legal," Lexi shook her head frantically.

"It's not. You have to be seventeen before you can even start learning," Lily whispered urgently.

"It keeps them from turning if they were, ya know," she said glancing around them.

"It's still stupid," Lily groaned.

"Well duh."

"There they are," Lily said looking at the doors again. Sure enough three of the four Marauders were making their way towards them.

"Looks like they stopped at the Hospital," Lexi commented, noticing Sirius' limp was gone.

"Are we going to say something," Lily asked.

"No. I'll bring it up after the game," Lexi huffed.

"Good morning," James beamed at them.

"Afternoon," the girls rolled their eyes in unison.

"Get that ankle sorted, Black," Lexi smirked at him.

"While we were visiting Moony," he winked at her.

"Good. The teams got to be all set for today," she teased.

"You're telling me," James grumbled. "Lex couldn't you-"

"Let the boy get a game under his belt before you ask again," she huffed, cutting him off making Sirius, Lily, and Peter laugh.

"Slytherin is going to wail on him," Peter sighed.

"Wail on them first," she smirked at Sirius.

"Oh, you know I'm aiming for Reg," Sirius grinned wickedly looking over at his younger brother at the Slytherin table.

"Good, he's better than Fitz, we need to keep him distracted," James said quietly.

"Alright, focus on eating. You two have to go soon," Lily laughed.

"Shit, c'mon Padfoot," James said looking at his watch. He took a big bite and chugged his drink before he began making his way down the table gathering the team. Sirius finished quickly waiting for James and the others to come back by.

"Good luck," Lexi smirked at him.

"Wait for me after the game," he said with his own smirk.

"Okay," she gave him a smile as he began to leave with James and the rest of the team. Their table cheered as the team left. She watched James and Sirius whisper something to each other and James looked back at her with a grin.

"James knows something is happening between you two," Lily giggled after Lexi had blushed and looked down at her empty plate.

"He just gets out of hand when it comes to me dating," Lexi sighed.

"It's Padfoot, he's not that opposed to the idea," Peter cackled.

"C'mon, let's go get good seats," Lexi gave a small smile. The three made their way to the pitch with the crowd of other students who started leaving as well.

"Ready to watch your seeker get knocked out, Garrett," they heard a familiar dumb voice as they reached the pitch. They looked over to see Snape, Avery, and Nott. Nott had a smirk on his face being the one who had spoken.

"I think you're confused, Nott. I think that's going to be your seeker," Lexi rolled her eyes.

"So sure about your boy toy, Garrett," Avery spat.

"At least he plays better than your whole team," she crossed her arms. Peter and Lily were flanking her. She knew Lily was in a very uncomfortable situation because of Snape.

"Your troop of Mudblood lovers won't get anywhere," Snape smirked. Lexi's eyes flashed as she went for her wand but felt Lily and Peter grab her and start dragging her off to the stands.

"This isn't over Snivellus," she yelled back at him. "I'm done, alright," she snapped at Lily and Peter as she pushed them off of her.

"You're going to end up in detention again," Lily chidded as they took seats in the front of the Gryffindor section.

"Worth it for cursing him," Lexi muttered, making Peter laugh. Lily rolled her eyes but Lexi noticed her grin. The three chatted as the stands filled. Finally the teams were exiting the locker rooms and taking to the sky doing laps around the Pitch. The team took their positions while the Captain's shook hands.

"It looks like McNair is trying to break Prongs' hand," Peter commented as the captains took to the air as well. The bludgers and snitch were released. Lexi kept her eyes on the fluttering gold ball as it zoomed off. She lost it once the whistle blew. She looked in time to see the quaffle released by Madame Hooch. James grabbed it and they were off.

"Fitz is gonna have a hard time seeing the snitch," Lexi yelled over the crowd's cheers.

"Why," Lily yelled back, wincing as one of the Slytherin chasers slammed into James making him drop the ball.

"Grey sky, harder to see," Lexi said. Twead blocked the first goal Slytherin tried to make. They cheered with the rest of their house. The game continued for another thirty minutes. The score had only reached twenty to thirty with Slytherin in the lead. They were playing rough as had been assumed. Lexi watched Sirius and Greengrass, a Slytherin Beater, knocking each other back and forth as they chased a Bludger. Suddenly Greengrass swung his bat at Sirius. It caught Sirius in the nose. Blood started falling quickly.

"C'mon, Hooch! That's a foul," Peter yelled and booed with the rest of the stands. Hooch was blowing her whistle and flying towards the beaters. The game slowed for a moment. Lexi kept watching the sky for the Snitch. She saw it and looked over at Fitz who was not high in the air off the field like he should have been. He was too busy laughing as he watched Greengrass get yelled at. She then noticed two of the Slytherin chasers flying towards him.

"SOMEONE COVER FITZ," Lexi screamed but it was too late. The chasers collided into him. Luckily he had the sense to hold on to his broom as he spun down towards the ground and landed with a thud. The whistle blew again and Hooch called a hold on the game as she checked on him. James was standing next to them and yelling. "Shit," Lexi said as she saw James shake his head then make eye contact with her. He was on his broom and flew up to her. He hovered in front of the stands she was sitting in.

"He was knocked out cold, Hooch says he's out for the game," James said angrily. She just nodded and ran out of the stands.

"Lexi," she heard Lily yell as she left. When she got to the locker room James was there pacing. "She's only holding the game for a few more moments. He tossed her a Jersey. She removed her jacket and threw it on.

"Got his broom for me?"

"Better," James smirked, pulling her broom out of his locker.

"You tosser," she laughed, taking it from him. They ran out onto the field and before Lexi took two steps she was on her broom flying around the pitch. She could hear Peter and Lily leading the Gryffindors in chanting her name.

"That's Lexi Garrett subbing for Fitz as Gryff seeker," the announcer said to the crowd. She kept her eyes moving looking for the little ball. The whistle blew for the game to continue. She watched Regulus who seemed to now be intently searching as well. Lexi smirked when she saw him narrowly miss a Bludger that had been sent at him. She flew past Sirius who had hit it who smirked at her before taking off again. She dodged a bludger herself as she did another lap.

"Gryffindor scores! Thirty-thirty," she heard the student announcer yell.

"One more then get it," James yelled as he passed her. She nodded and smirked as she saw the frustration forming on Regulus' face. She got an idea. She took off on her broom purposely passing him closely. "Garrett seems to have seen the snitch! Regulus is right behind her," the announcer yelled, it worked. He thought she had seen it. He was chasing her. She dived sharply towards the base of the Gryffindor Goal posts. She adjusted her foot so it was on the top of the back end of the broomstick. When she was about five feet from the ground she shifted her weight pulling up very quickly. She made a sharp turn and hovered just a few feet from the grass. She just had time to see him fail to pull up in time and skid across the grass leaving his broom ten feet behind him. "She faked! What an amazing move by Garret!" The crowd was cheering. He stood up and glared at her. She winked before taking off again.

"Wright has the quaffle and dodges Montague, then McNair!"

"C'mon," Lexi gritted, watching for the little gold ball but watching to make sure they would make the goal. Regulus was back on his broom climbing back up to her altitude.

"Gryffindor scores again! Forty-thirty!" That was her que. She was watching carefully. A blue sky would be better. She did a few more laps trying to keep distance between her and Regulus. She looked below her watching as the Slytherin team got angrier and rougher. James was knocked sideways having to roll on his broom and dropping the quaffle to Harding. Finally she saw it. It was by the announcer and teachers. She leaned down on her broom and took off again. Regulus had seen it this time too. He was closer. She leaned lower. They were now neck and neck. They dove after the flying ball as it dropped in front of the tall stand. It moved back towards the sky and Lexi was able to pull up before Regulus. She had pulled ahead. She reached her arm out but had to grab her broom again as Regulus bumped her. She didn't take her eyes off the ball.

"Red, Drop," she heard Sirius' voice as they passed him. She didn't have time to think. She just did it. She heard a sickening thud and crunch behind her. She flew back up towards the little ball and finally closed her hand around it. The crowd cheered as she raised her hand holding the little ball.

"Garrett has caught the Snitch! Gryffindor wins!" Lexi landed with a big smile on her face. She looked over and winced as she saw Hooch tending to what looked like Regulus' broken arm. The rest of the team landed with her. James dropped his broom and hugged her spinning.

"That's how you do it," he cheered and set her down. Sirius was smirking as the rest of the team gushed over her.

"That dive was wicked," Wright grinned high fiving her.

"Tell us why you didn't just try out," Harding smirked as they made their way to the locker room.

"We were beginning to think Potter and Black were full of shit," Lloyd laughed.

"I have other things to do than just fly around on a broom all the time," she smirked over at Sirius and winked. James talked to the team excitedly before letting them go. James, Lexi, and Sirius were the last ones in the locker room.

"So, I think the house wouldn't oppose you being on the team," James smiled at her as he locked everyone's brooms away.

"It was one game, Jamie," she chuckled, shaking her head.

"You saw how well it was going with Fitz. He wasn't even focused," James grumbled.

"Give him the option to stay on if he wants," she grinned. "Slytherin is just rough."

"C'mon Red, you know we would have lost if you hadn't been the one to face off with Reg," Sirius chuckled.

"Thanks for the assist, by the way," she smirked at him.

"It's my job," he winked.

"Please, Lex," James groaned looking at her hopefully. She looked between the two a smirk still on her lips.

"When's the next practice," she sighed finally.

"Yes," James cheered, hugging her. "It's Tuesday after classes, don't be late." She laughed and rolled her eyes as they left the locker room.

"Bloody brilliant," Peter exclaimed when they exited the door.

"Lex, that was insane," Lily was beaming as she hugged her best friend.

"Oi, what about me," James pouted.

"You were amazing too," Lily giggled.

"Let's get you three some food," Peter rolled his eyes. They began walking but Sirius slyly grabbed her wrist slowing her pace giving some distance between them and the other three.

"That was the dive James was trying to teach Fitz," Sirius smirked at her.

"Who do you think taught him," she laughed.

"You're amazing," he chuckled.

"You're not so bad yourself, Black," she teased, nudging him as they walked. "So has James figured it out yet?"

"A little, he keeps asking. I keep avoiding it."

"It's for the best," she smirked. "Last thing I need is you getting hexed for those thoughts about me," she winked, making him grin. He looked ahead of them. The other three had already entered the castle. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into a corner of the courtyard. He stood in front of her bracing himself against the wall he had her leaning on.

"Speaking of those thoughts," he said huskily. She felt her breath hitch as he looked her up and down hungrily. His hand moved to her hip and he stepped closer. Their bodies were pressed against each other.

"They are going to wonder where we went," she smirked up at him from under her eyelashes.

"Keep giving me that look and they won't see us until the party," he mumbled resting his forehead on hers.

"Is that so," she purred as she placed her hands around his waist.

"There you two are," Lily's voice made Sirius jump back from her. Lily had an amused look on her face. "You're lucky I told James I'd come find you," she laughed at the blush that was creeping up Sirius' face.

"C'mon," Lexi giggled and they headed to the Great Hall. Sirius kept stealing glances at her as they ate.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Later that night at the party it was obvious James was right. The house was thrilled about her new position on the team. Fitz had happily resigned after having heard about how well she had played. She and Sirius had sang as usual. Now they had all split off and were the center of attention from winning the game. She had just left the dance floor leaving Lily with James. She was getting another drink when she felt a hand on the small of her back.

"Red," she felt his breath on her neck as he whispered in her ear behind her.

"Black," she smirked as she turned to look at him. Their chests were touching.

"Let's get out of here," his eyes were that dark stormy color they turned when she teased him and twinkled with mischief.

"Hmm, you've been drinking, I'm not sure that's a smart idea," she purred. He let out a low growl that rumbled his chest.

"Now," he hissed in her ear. She felt a familiar tingle run down her.

"Okay," she said breathlessly. He took her hand and they slipped out of the portrait hole. Once they were in the corridor he pulled the invisibility cloak on them and they made their way to the Room of Requirement. Once the door appeared after Sirius paced he pulled her inside quickly. The room was the same for their other rendezvous. Sirius backed her up against the wall with a smirk.

"I'm not going to be able to keep controlling myself, Red," his voice was low and gravelly and his breath had a slight hint of fire whiskey. He was bracing his arms against the wall on either side of her. She snaked her arms around his waist pulling him closer to her.

"Why is that Black," She smirked at him.

"You can't act like that on a dance floor and expect me to not want you," He smirked slyly as he captured her lips with his. She gave in so willingly. One of his hands made its way from the wall to her hip pulling her even closer. She drifted her hands around the hem of his sweater before running her fingers under his shirt along the edge of his jean's waistband.

"If you don't stop we aren't going to be finished," he chuckled at her as they laid on a bed in the Room of Requirement. She was laying on top of him kissing her neck.

"I wouldn't mind," she purred.

"You really might be the death of me," he smirked as he flipped them over. He was holding himself with his hands and knees staring openly at her body. "You're fucking gorgeous," he smiled kissing her nose before standing up and looking for his clothes.

"You're not so bad yourself," she smirked as she stood and began shimming her jeans on.

"Need this," Sirius smirked, tossing her red bra at her.

"I suppose," she laughed as she pulled it on.

"Aren't you forgetting something," he teased, dangling the pair of red panties on his finger.

"They're still wet," she winked at him pulling her shirt back on.

"You know you're a witch right," he chuckled as he pulled his sweater on and stood up.

"Fine," she rolled her eyes with a smirk. She held her panties and tapped them with her wand. She seductively shoved the panties in his jeans pocket. He smirked down at her and she kissed him gently at first then egged him on with her lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck as his arm slid around her waist.

"We've got to get back, love," he sighed, resting his forehead against hers.

"I thought you were fun, Sirius," she pouted and kissed his neck.

"I am, Lexi," he chuckled. "You know I'm nowhere near done with you," his smirk was back as he pulled her against him roughly.

"But?"

"I don't want to be dead before I can make you scream again," he smirked.

"Fuck," she sighed her eyes fluttering. She knew he was right. They had snuck away from the party. Someone could have noticed by now. They headed for the door but Sirius pushed her up against the wall again, his hands on her hips. She snaked her arms around his neck and toyed with the back of his hair.

"Let's be clear," he said in a serious tone. "I've told you we can keep not telling Prongs as long as you want, Red. But eventually some prick is going to try something. I'm not going to just let that happen," he smirked at her and looked over her possessively. She smirked back at him as she felt herself getting turned on again. One of his hands slid down to grab her ass.

"I know, Black. Maybe we'll just start being less careful," she teased, running her hand along the front of his pants resting on the pocket her panties were in. She felt his member twitch next to her hand and winked at him. He crashed his lips to hers. When they finally broke they were both grinning.

"C'mon," he took her hand and led her back to the common room.

"So I'm guessing we are going to bring it up today since you let it slide last night," Lily smirked at Lexi as they walked down to the common room.

"Look you'd have let it slide for what happened too," Lexi laughed. "Looks like they are still in bed," she grinned.

"Let's head to breakfast, I'm sure they'll be down soon," Lily pulled her towards the portrait hole. Lily had been right, the boys arrived about thirty minutes into their breakfast.

"Morning," Lexi grinned slyly at them.

"Where did you two disappear last night," James asked her, sourly pointing to her and Sirius.

"I don't know what, Black does in his spare time," Lexi rolled her eyes.

"I told you the last I saw her was when we sang Prongs," Sirius sighed, helping himself to food.

"So you just went off with some broad then," James asked skeptically.

"Are you really having a hard time believing that James," Lexi scoffed trying to fight the smirk.

"I guess not, but where were you," he didn't drop it.

"You know what your nickname reminds me of Jamie," she deflected and he rolled his eyes.

"You're not going to ignore my question, Lex."

"I'll answer it after you amuse me," she had a glint of mischief in her eyes that made James and Sirius nervous for different reasons.

"Fine, what does it remind you of?" Lily started grinning.

"A stag, you know with big horns, Prongs," Lexi smirked.

"Mm, you're right, Lex," Lily jumped in, the girls didn't miss the nervous look the boys shared. "You know what Padfoot reminds me of?"

"What, Lil," Lexi asked, not taking her eyes off of the boys.

"A dog, the pads on their paws, or feet rather," Lily responded. As if on cue their joking demeanor vanished and they were glaring at the boys.

"If you haven't picked up on it," Lexi set her drink down, "we know."

"No you don't," James challenged nervously.

"I won't say it because we are sitting here," Lexi hushed her voice, "but yes, we do. It doesn't matter that it makes you immune to the bites." The boys' faces paled as they realized they did know. Lexi narrowed her eyes at Sirius and he looked down. "It's still bloody dangerous. He is still stronger than you."

"Look, Lexi, I promise-," James tried.

"Do you really think you're that invincible that you can play with a you-know-what," Lily scoffed. James blushed and looked down.

"Not to mention that its-," Lexi stopped herself and took a deep breath. "We aren't done with this discussion, but I know you know everything I want to say. Lily?" The girls left the table angrily.

"I think I'd rather her have hexed us," Sirius grumbled towards his food.
