While Elijah and Elena left for their Honeymoon, Rebekah and Kol also left Mystic Falls after a small argument with Klaus and Liah, demanding that they leave with them or at least go their separate ways the moment they were miles away from Mystic Falls.
But Klaus wouldn't leave without making sure that Emily was drained of blood to the point of death and that he had her blood while Liah wouldn't leave without her Grimoires. She was afraid that the Little Bennett Witch might steal them. So the two Hybrids returned to the Mansion, only to find Tyler trying to free Emily.
"Tyler."Emily rasped out, seeing the two Hybrids who looked furious and shocked as Tyler turned to see them.
"So much for that Sire Bond."Klaus said as Liah eyed Tyler, having an idea of how he broke the Bond.
"I'm not your little bitch anymore."Tyler suddenly said, surprising Liah.
"Oh, someone's finally got a backbone."Liah said, shaking her head as Klaus smiled darkly and stalked towards Tyler and Emily while she hung back and decided to watch.
"How did you break the Sire Bond?"Klaus demanded to know.
"By breaking every bone in my body a hundred times for the girl I love."Tyler answered truthfully.
"That's impossible."Klaus denied.
"Is it?"Tyler retorted questionably."Or maybe real love is stronger then fake loyalty. But what would you know about that?"Tyler questioned him.
"You know you should be thanking me."Tyler's eyes narrowed."I gave you a gift, I took away your misery."
"You didn't give a crap about me!"Tyler bellowed angrily."You just didn't want to be alone."
"Careful, boy. You have no idea what you're talking about."Liah warned Tyler, who ignored the warning and went back to Emily, helping her up.
"Come on-"Tyler was cut off by Klaus attacking him, forcing him to let go of Emily, who hit her head while Tyler was slammed against the wall.
Liah walked over to Emily's side, looming over her and listened closely to her heartbeat. It was shallow, but still there."Goodbye Tyler."Liah looked back at her Brother sharply when she heard him yell in pain but before she could do anything, she felt hands on either side of her neck and before she could do anything, she heard a sickeningly snap before her world went black.
When Liah woke up from her neck being snapped, she saw that it was night time and cursed, knowing that Rebekah was in Richmond with Elena and Elijah, who was finishing up on some loose ends that he most likely had before he actually took Elena on their Honeymoon and Kol might as well be halfway to New York by now.
Pulling out her phone, Liah speed dialled Elijah's number."Please tell me you haven't gotten on that plane yet."Liah said the moment Elijah answered the phone.
"No, we have three more hours before we need to leave, why? What has happened, Aaliyah?"Elijah questioned his Hybrid Sister.
"The Salvatore's happened. They took Nik."Liah gritted out."Get back to Mystic Falls, now."
"I'll be there within fifteen minutes."Elijah stated coolly but Liah knew her Brother better then that. He was enraged and he most likely wanted blood.
"Where are you going?"Elena asked as she came to stand in front of Elijah, crossing her arms as Rebekah came to stand next to her.
Elena had long since gotten out of her Wedding Dress and was now wearing a white sweater, a black pleated mini-skirt with black tights on underneath. They, as in she, Elijah, and Rebekah, were staying in Elijah's house that he had brought, along with a few other houses all over the world, if the airports were outside of town and he didn't feel like waiting there and preferred a calm, silent, and comfortable place where he could laze about to wait. Plus, they were houses that his Siblings didn't know about.
"The Salvatore's have taken Niklaus."Elena and Rebekah shared a shocked and horrified look.
"What?"Elena and Rebekah breathed out in unison.
"Yes and I'm going to go get him back."Elijah stated.
"We're coming with you."Elena said sternly.
"No, you're staying here. The both of you."Elijah said, glancing between them.
"No, we are."Rebekah retorted."Or you will take my new Sister, your Bride, and you will drive to your Honeymoon destination and I will Niklaus back. Take it or leave it."Rebekah said, giving him an option as she crossed her arms and gave him a deadly look.
Elijah pursed his lips, knowing that he didn't have a choice."Fine, but we do this my way."Elijah stated and as unwilling as both girls were to agree, they nodded in acceptance."Rebekah, you will meet up with Liah and wait until I give you the all clear while Elena and I make a deal with Emily."
"How do you know she'll take the deal?"Elena asked as they pulled up to the driveway of the house that she had never planned on seeing again.
"Because if she doesn't, she'll wish that she had she and her friends were still facing Niklaus and his wrath when he didn't get what he wanted rather then mine."Elijah stated knowingly and Elena looked at him curiously but didn't ask. Getting out of the car, the two walked up to the house and Elijah knocked on the door as Elena stood close to him.
The door opened to reveal Emily, who subconsciously took a step back at seeing her Hybrid Sister and Elijah."Stefan."Emily called out nervously, never taking her eyes off of Elijah and Elena, but she had effectively gained Stefan's and Matt's attention.
"Elijah."Stefan stated as Emily finally looked away from her Sister and Elijah.
"Hello again."Elijah gave them a tight smile while Elena openly glared at all of them.
"What are you doing here?"Stefan questioned them.
"We're here to make a deal."Elijah said before looking at Emily."Can we come in, Emily?"
"Of course."Emily mumbled, stepping out of the way to let them in.
Within minutes, Elena, Elijah, and Emily were sitting at the table while Stefan and Matt were actually in the kitchen, after Stefan had called Damon and put him on speaker phone."So, this deal?"Stefan asked warily.
"It's a simple deal, Stefan. I'm sure if you know what's best for everyone and this town, you'll make the right choice."Elena stated, glaring at Stefan when he scoffed.
"All we need is to take that stake from him."Elijah spoke up, gaining everyone's attention."Once he's been disarmed and the weapon is in my possession, my Family"Elijah placed his hand on top of Elena's hand."will scatter to the ends of the Earth and Alaric will follow us."Elijah explained.
"And you'll just run?"Stefan stated questionably in disbelief as he walked over to the empty seat in between Elijah and Emily and sat down.
"And you'll go with them?"Emily directed her question to Elena.
"We've done it before."Elijah stated."Klaus, Aaliyah, and Rebekah spent the better part of a thousand years evading my Father. What's another half-century while Emily's able to live out her natural life?"Elijah questioned them.
"And I'm not staying behind while my Husband runs. Besides, if you haven't realised it yet or if Bonnie hasn't told you, Esther wanted to kill me too."Elena stated, leaving everyone stunned.
"Husband?"Emily choked out, suddenly noticing the rings on Elena's and Elijah's wedding fingers before she shook her head."We finally stopped Klaus, Elijah."Emily said, turning her attention to Elijah."After everything that he's done to us, I can't just let you bring him back."
"Who said anything about bringing Klaus back?"Elena asked in a sickeningly sweet voice.
"I give you my word, Emily. I will not revive Klaus within yours, nor even within your children's lifetimes."Elijah said confidently."Perhaps it'll finally teach him some manners."
"Why should she trust you?"Matt suddenly asked as he came to stand beside Emily."All you've done is screw her over."
"And no one has screwed me over?"Elena retorted, causing Matt to flinch and look away from Elena's narrowed eyes."Yeah, careful of what you say, Matty."
"And for that, I'm deeply ashamed."Elijah said, ignoring what Elena said but gave her a pointed look."But know this."Elijah looked up at Matt."She could've been dead within the instant we walked through that door tonight."Elijah said sharply."So, Emily, I leave it to you to make the decision whether to trust your Sister and I or not."
"Not!"Damon exclaimed on speaker phone, reminding everyone that he was there."Hello? Did that concussion give you brain damage?"Damon asked Emily as Elena looked at her twin sharply."His lunatic Siblings will kill you the first chance they get."
"Rebekah, Aaliyah, and Kol will honour the terms."Elijah nearly snarled at the phone, glaring at it before turning his attention back to Emily."If you return Klaus' body to us, Emily will come to no harm."Emily looked thoughtful and unsure."Do we have a deal?"Elijah asked Emily in a soft voice.
"No!"Damon exclaimed."No, no, no."Damon denied."Did I mention no?"He asked sarcastically.
"Damon, you don't get it."Elena spoke up, glaring darkly at the phone."I am willing to give Elijah a chance to try his way before I resort to mine, which is much more nastier,"A dark smirk graced Elena's face as she looked at her twin."as you most likely already know, but Liah, Rebekah, and I are just itching to kill Emily. But like I said, I'm willing to give Elijah's plan a try, but I'm sure Elijah won't stop me if we have to do things my way."Elena said in a cold and determined voice while glaring at Emily and Stefan.
Grimacing, Stefan looked at Emily."Emily, it's up to you."Emily glanced from the phone to Stefan, surprised.
Damon groaned."Oh, come on!"Damon whined."You know Elena's bluffing! She could never hurt Emily!"
"Wrong. I could and I would."Elena stated.
"Why do you want Klaus' body?"Emily asked.
"He's my Brother."Elijah said softly."We remain together."
Emily sighed and Elena knew they had a deal even before Emily actually said the words."We have a deal."
"Pleasure doing business with you."Elena said with false politeness in her voice as Stefan wrote down the storage unit they were keeping Klaus in and gave it to Elijah before the couple left, with Elijah saying that Rebekah and Aaliyah will go and get Klaus' body.
Elena had a ball of fire in her hands and was making it grow and shrink, to pass the time, as she, Caroline, Jeremy, Stefan, and Elijah waited for Rebekah and Liah in the woods."They're taking a long time, Elijah."Elena stated after a few minutes of silence."Do you think something happened?"Elena questioned Elijah, who pursed his lips into a thin line.
"Rebekah and Aaliyah can handle Damon."Elijah stated calmly.
"It's not Damon I'm worried about."Elena mumbled as the fire ball went out and she frowned when Stefan walked off, answering his phone and Jeremy walked off after him.
"They can take care of themselves."Elijah mumbled, pulling Elena into his arms and kissed the top of her head.
However, he looked up in the direction that Stefan and Jeremy had walked off in with narrowed eyes. Letting go of Elena, he took her hand in his and walked quickly to the duo with Elena and Caroline following him.
"Elijah?"Elena asked questionably and shared a look with Caroline when Elijah didn't answer her.
"What happened?"Elijah demanded the moment they saw Stefan and Jeremy.
"Stefan."Caroline stated questionably in a soft voice as she saw tears in Stefan's eyes.
"I'm sorry."Stefan said before he left, taking Jeremy with him.
"Elena..."Caroline trailed off, looking at Elena, who looked back at her just as fearful for her as Caroline was for herself and Tyler.
"No, no, he's not dead. You're fine. You're gonna be fine."Elena choked out and Caroline nodded but her eyes were filled with tears that were threatening to fall.
"Tyler..."Caroline choked out.
"Go, find him."Elena muttered and Caroline took off to find her Hybrid boyfriend."Elijah..."Elena trailed off, looking at Elijah, who pulled her into his arms and held her, letting her bury her face into his chest while he buried his face against her head.
Hearing a whoosh, Elijah looked up and turned his head sharply to find Rebekah and Liah standing there with tear stained faces. Elijah and Elena turned to fully face them."He's gone, Elijah, Elena."Elena shook her head."There was nothing we could do to stop it."
"I should have been able to stop it."Liah muttered as Elena and Elijah let go of each other to hug Rebekah and Liah.
"Tyler Lockwood is dead, but the rest survive."Elijah said after everyone let go of each other."You said Niklaus turned their Bloodline."
"I thought he did."Rebekah stated.
"It wasn't me, it wasn't Kol."Elijah stated before looking at Liah, who shook her head.
"It wasn't me or Rebekah, Elijah."Liah said as confidently as she could.
"It was Niklaus, I'm sure of it."Rebekah said.
Elijah's eyes narrowed."Then how are they still alive?"Elijah wondered questionably.
"Does it matter?"Elena asked, frowning."Right now, what does matter is that we don't have that stupid stake and Alaric is still alive."
"Elena, we made a deal-A deal that is now null and void, Elijah."Liah cut Elijah off, glaring at him and he pursed his lips before sighing and nodded in defeat.
"Let me call Emily, to find out where she is."The trio of girls nodded. They were ecstatic and wanted nothing more than to get rid of that bitch and be done with that stupid town which brought them mostly pain.
Liah and Rebekah didn't exactly feel better after watching the car crash into the river. They were glad to finally be rid of their unwanted Sister-In-Law, but that didn't make everything alright. Klaus was dead, but they got their revenge. Sure, they were going to gloat about it against the Salvatore Brothers. But that didn't lessen the grief and pain of losing another Family member, another Sibling, another Brother. Half Brother or not, Klaus was still their Brother.
"Why couldn't I go with them to make sure that they killed Emily?"Elena asked, pouting as Elijah drove them back to Richmond.
"Because we'll be late for our flight."Elijah answered coolly.
"You still want to go on our Honeymoon?"Elena asked, surprised and Elijah nodded firmly.
"Yes."Elijah stated calmly and Elena pursed her lips.
"Elijah, you did the right thing."Elijah glanced at her, his own lips pursed in a thin and tight line."Emily was never innocent."Elena stated strongly and gave Elijah a pointed look."You know that."Elijah hummed softly and took one hand off the wheel to grab Elena's hand in his.
"You're right."Elijah mumbled, although he still didn't sound happy about it. Elena's phone went off before she could say anything to reassure Elijah and she pulled it out, silently reading the message from Liah.
"It's done. Emily's dead."Elena stated softly.
"I see..."Elijah said with a sigh.
"Think of it this way; Alaric's dead and we don't have to worry about running for a half-century from him."Elena stated calmly and managed to get a small smile out of Elijah, which told her that he was happy about no longer worrying about running or her having to run with him. That wasn't exactly the life he wanted for his Wife."We don't have to postpone our Honeymoon and you can take me wherever it is you want to take me and we can spend it together in peace."Elijah's smile widened at the thought.
"That sounds absolutely perfect."Elijah said softly, bringing his and Elena's joined hands up to his lips and kissed the inside of her wrist.
