Michelle saw Ember by the balcony as she said to her, "I'll cut right to the point, like I told you before me and Neo found Salem's main fortress as it is in Vacuo but we don't know where exactly it is located however there has been a large amount of Grimm activity coming from the centre of the desert so I have a hunch that's where Salem's fortress is."

Then Michelle smiled at Ember as she replied, "Thanks Ember, that will be really useful information so I can pass onto Winter as she is more trustworthy than General Ironwood and...you have come a long way since we first met and you tried to kill me...and then again when I was separated from my friends, look the point I'm making here is that you have my trust and Ruby's trust as well so for her sake please...don't break that trust."

Ember removed her mask for a moment as she smiled and said, "You know I think I get it now why Ruby loves you so much Michelle, because even though back then when I still wanted revenge for my brother's death I blamed you thinking you were responsible for his death but when I tried to kill Ruby you threw yourself into harm's way to protect her and so...I took your arm so that's why I am trying my hardest not to break your trust you and Ruby have given me and I know it will be a while before your other friends forgive me for what I did"

And Michelle smiled as she walked towards Ember before embracing her in a hug as she replied, "the others will come around eventually Ember, they just need some time and I know this is a little sudden but...I consider you a friend and I'm glad I was able to help you steer away from the path of vengeance before it was too late."

Before Ember then just sobbed in Michelle's arms as she said, "I'm happy you think of me as a friend Michelle because I have been so alone and lost without my brother Adam with me and...I regret trying to take Ruby away from you as you two deserve each other" and Michelle just gently rubbed Ember's back until she had calmed down as she replied softly,

"It's ok Ember, you don't have to be alone anymore because you have me and Ruby and Neo who will be there for you and...in time the others will be there for you as well."

After a few minutes Ember's tears had dried up a little and Michelle released the hug and clutched her side a little in pain before Ember looked concerned as she said, "Are you ok Michelle? You look hurt." And Michelle smiled as she replied,

"I'll be fine Ember, it's just a minor injury I picked up when me and Ruby went to have dinner together in Mantel before our evening was interrupted by some Grimm."

Before Michelle started to walk back towards her dorm room as she said to Ember, "Anyway, I should get back to Ruby as I promised her I wouldn't be too long, oh and I...put Ruby's number on your scroll so you can contact her if you need someone to talk to"

Ember just smiled as she watched Michelle walk away before putting her mask back on as she left the balcony.

Inside Ruby and Michelle's dorm room...

Ruby was sitting in bed waiting for her girlfriend to return and she smiled when she heard the door open and saw Michelle walk in and close the door behind her before she leaped out of bed and ran over to give her a hug which Michelle was all too eager and happy to return the hug before she said, "I'm glad you're happy to see me Rubes, and...I'm sorry I took a little longer than I said I would."

And Ruby smiled at Michelle and stood on her tip toes as she gave her a kiss on her lips before she replied, "It's ok Michelle, my gorgeous ice queen, you umm you didn't take that long and I just figured you and Ember probably had a lot to talk about." And Michelle smirked as she noticed Ruby was only wearing her red bra and panties as she said,

"Yeah me and Ember did have a lot to talk about and...I hope you don't mind but I gave Ember your number so she could contact you on your scroll if she needed someone to talk to as she had been alone for so long since the death of her brother, and...I also told Ember we would be her friends because she has our trust and she is trying hard not to break that trust."

Then Ruby grumbled slightly in annoyance as she replied, "I wish you had asked me first but...I will be there for Ember if she needs a shoulder to cry on because as you said we are friends with her...for now at least" and Michelle saw how annoyed her girlfriend looked so she sheepishly said,

"I'm sorry I didn't ask you if I could give Ember your number Ruby, I...I guess that means you don't want to sleep with me tonight then?"

Before Ruby then smiled at Michelle again as she gave her another kiss on her lips as she replied, "I can't stay mad at you Michelle my adorable ice queen because you were only doing what you thought was right at the time." before she then had a slight pout on her face as she continued, "Besides I umm I felt bad about the last time I was angry at you and left you on your own, so of course I am still going to sleep with you tonight Michelle"

Michelle then smiled at her girlfriend as she gave her a kiss on her forehead and said, "You had your reasons for being angry at me last time Rubes because I lied to you and kept secrets from you and we promised each other we wouldn't keep any more secrets from each other, and speaking of being open with each other how is Roman torchwick doing? Last I heard he was still locked up here in Atlas not that I actually forgive him for what he did because he caused me so much pain!" as she clenched her hands into fists.

Ruby then had a slight pout on her face as she sheepishly replied, "Umm well about that Michelle, you see umm Roman somehow escaped and he was also responsible for the fall of Beacon Academy but umm in the fall of Beacon he was killed by a Nevermore when I busy hanging on to the side of General Ironwoods ship so umm hopefully that makes you feel better."

Then Michelle yawned a little as she sat down on the bed before she said with some tears in her eyes, "Well...at least that bastard got what he deserved, but if it were up to me...even though I swore to myself I would never kill again unless it was necessary I would have made his death slow and painful to make him regret what he did because he took my ex girlfriend from me but at least I have you Ruby my beautiful crimson reaper."

And Ruby laid down on the bed next to her girlfriend and tried to cuddle her as she replied, "I'm not trying to replace your ex girlfriend Michelle because I umm I understand she was very special and important to you but if I can make you happy then that makes me happy because I hate seeing you cry but for now let's just try and get some sleep then we can talk to Winter and tell her what Ember told you."

So Michelle laid down next to Ruby and buried her head in her neck as she muffled out a "Thank you Ruby, I know you're not trying to replace my ex girlfriend as no one could replace my ex girlfriend as she holds a special place in my heart but you also hold a special place in my heart right next to her" before she cried herself to sleep in her girlfriends arms as Ruby just held her tight in a hug.

The next day...

Ruby slowly stirred from her sleep the next morning and sat up in the bed as she smiled as she thought to herself, "Soon this war will be over and I finally have my happy ever after that I always dreamed of as a kid." Before she then frowned as she looked down at her sleeping girlfriend as she said to herself, "I'll let Michelle sleep in for a bit as she has been trying so hard despite being through so much pain." Before she then slowly got out of bed and got dressed.

Then Ruby got to the door of their dorm room as she took one last look at her sleeping girlfriend before she thought to herself, "I'll make sure to get some breakfast for my girlfriend too as Michelle will probably be pretty hungry when she wakes up." Before she then left the room to go and get some breakfast and some breakfast for her girlfriend.

Michelle then slowly stirred from her sleep a few minutes later and she tried to reach out for her girlfriend Ruby but she felt the cold of the pillow next to her as she thought to herself, "Ruby must have gotten up some time ago, maybe she has gone to get us some breakfast." Before she then slowly sat up and sat on the edge of her bed and pushed herself off the bed as she went to get dressed into some fresh clothes.

Before Ruby then came back in a few minutes with some cookies before she noticed Michelle was awake as she said, "Oh morning Michelle, I umm I decided to let you sleep in a bit because of what we talked about last night but...umm I got you some breakfast as umm I knew you would be hungry" as she held out a cookie towards her girlfriend.

And Michelle then took the cookie as she smiled and replied, "Thank you Rubes, you're so good to me and...I'm grateful we had a talk last night because I had kept what happened to my ex girlfriend close to my chest because it was so painful to talk about it and I feel a little better now I told you about what happened to my ex girlfriend even if it was only a little bit."

Ruby then gave her girlfriend a hug as she said, "I'm glad you feel better for talking to me about what happened to your e girlfriend and...it's ok Michelle because you can tell me some more of what happened to your e girlfriend when you feel comfortable and ready because I understand it's painful to talk about a loved one but I'm here for you and I'll umm I'll try my best to support you as best I can"

Then Ruby noticed Michelle had taken her bandage off as she said, "So has your wound fully healed then Michelle?" and Michelle smiled at her girlfriend and gave her a kiss on her lips as she replied,

"No my wound hasn't fully healed yet but my bandage was getting irritating so I chose not to wear it anymore but it doesn't hurt as much as it did before"

And Ruby smiled as she said, "well, that's good Michelle and umm I spoke to Winter earlier and she told me she would be coming to talk to us a little later so umm in the meantime why don't we relax and play some video games together?"

So Michelle smiled and nodded her head as they sat down on the bed together and played ninja brawl 2 on their scrolls and were laughing and having fun while they played their game together.

Later...

Winter then knocked on the door of Michelle and Ruby's dorm and Michelle opened the door and smiled as she said, "Hey Winter, Ruby told me you were coming to speak to us" and Winter smiled as she replied,

"Yes, Ruby told me Ember told you that she had a feeling where about Salem's main fortress in Vacuo is, can I come in?"

And Michelle stood to one side as she said to Winter, "Yeah of course you can come in Winter." And Winter walked inside the room as Michelle closed the door behind her before Michelle then took a deep breath as she said,

"So I'll just get right to the point as to not waste your time, Ember told me that she has a feeling Salem's fortress is located in the centre of the Vacuo desert as there have been reports of large amounts of Grimm activity coming from the centre of the desert"

Winter then smiled as she replied, "Thank you Michelle, this will be valuable information and General Ironwood will greatly appreciate it" before Winter then noticed the scar on Michelle's side as she said to her, "How's your wound Michelle? It looks like it is healing nicely at least."

Then Michelle smiled as she replied, "My wound has been healing nicely thank you Winter and I have been taking the advice of the medical staff here at Atlas and taking things easy at least until they think I am fit to go back out on missions again."

Winter then stood there and smiled as she said, "Well, I'm sure it won't be too much longer before you and Ruby are able to go on missions again and I'm glad to see that you and Ruby have been listening to the orders of the medical team here in Atlas and...I'm sorry I can't play a game with you or Ruby but I really must go and report this to General Ironwood"

Ruby then smiled as she said to Winter, "It's ok, we understand Winter and yeah both me and Michelle can't wait to back out on missions again soon." And Winter nodded her head as she left the room leaving Michelle and Ruby alone in their room while she went to report to General Ironwood.

Later that day...

After Michelle and Ruby had finished playing their game together Michelle smiled at Ruby as she said, "Hey Rubes why don't we go to the training room and make sure that we are ready for this and make sure our skills are sharp as the blade on crescent rose, after all you're the leader and it is your job to make sure everyone is at their best and that includes me."

And Ruby smiled back at her girlfriend as she gave her a kiss on her lips as she replied, "Yeah, I guess you are right about that Michelle and we both need to make sure are skills are sharp and I love that you mentioned my beautiful crescent rose but umm I think you are beautiful too Michelle."

Michelle then giggled a little as she said, "You're so cute when you try and say a compliment to me Rubes, come on let's go and gather the team and have a team training session." As she pulled Ruby up to her feet.

Then Ruby smiled and blushed a little as she replied, "T-thanks Michelle, but you're right let's go and get the others so we can have a team training session to make sure everyone's skills are as sharp as they can be."

Before both Michelle and Ruby held hands with each other as Ruby used her semblance as they dashed out of their room and down the hallway to gather the rest of their team mates to meet in the training room to practise their skills.

Inside the training room...

Oscar was standing across from Michelle in the training room and looked a little nervous as he said to Michelle, "A-are you sure you want to do this Michelle? I don't want to aggravate your injury." And Michelle smiled at Oscar as she replied,

"Oscar...I'm sure I need to do this and I'll be fine, we all need to make sure our skills are as good as they can get especially if we are going to Salem's fortress directly which is why I suggested we had a team training session so we can brush up on our skills so let's stop talking and just get to training."

Before both Michelle and Oscar got ready to spar with each other as he lunges forward with his cane and attempts to strike Michelle but Michelle dodges him and kicks him in his ribs causing his green aura to glow slightly before he smiles as he tries to strike Michelle again and this time he manages to predict Michelle would dodge him again and quickly followed up with another strike giving Michelle no time to react as the strike connects with her side where she was struck by the Grimm as her purple aura glowed slightly before she held her side in pain and Oscar looked worried as he said, "Oh crap I'm so sorry Michelle I forgot you were still recovering from your injury, are you ok?"

And Michelle smirked as she wrapped some ice around her fist and connected with a punch to Oscar's jaw sending him flying across the training room before she said to him "I'm fine Oscar, although I can't believe you of all people fell for the oldest trick in the book and I thought with Ozpin's wisdom you would have been wise enough not to let your guard down against your opponent"

Oscar sat against the wall of training room where collided as Ozpin said to him, "Ms Cass is right, you should never let your guard down against your opponent even if you think they have been beaten but everyone does have a weakness Oscar, you just need to figure out what Ms Cass's weakness is."

As Oscar smiled as he replied out loud, "You're right, I just have to find what Michelle's weakness is." Before he then slowly stood back on his feet and charged at Michelle again.

Meanwhile Ruby was training with her sister Yang as Yang said with a confident smile, "Come on sis, show me what you got, I want to see how much my little sis has improved since we left Beacon." And Ruby smiled as she replied,

"Yeah, but don't think I will go easy on you, we need give this everything we have because Salem won't hold anything back against us."

Before the two sisters then clashed against each other which caused a shockwave to emanate from them with how hard they clashed against each other.

After the training...

Everyone was tired after the training session as Winter smiled as she said to the group, "It is good to see you are all taking your training seriously as this mission will be the toughest you have all been on so far as huntsman and huntresses and I can't guarantee all of you will come back safely."

Michelle tried to catch her breath as she replied, "T-thanks Winter, I haven't trained that intensely in a long time and I think everyone did their best today and I think we are ready for whatever Salem can throw at us."

Ruby then took Michelle's hand into her own as she said, "Everyone tried their best today, and umm I think we can stop Salem and I know Salem can't be killed but she can be stopped and we will stop her but for now I think we should all try and get some rest." Before she then used her semblance as she dashed down the hallway with Michelle.

A/N: I just want to let you guys know that this story will be ending in the next few chapters because I feel like this story is coming to its natural conclusion but I hope you guys enjoyed this story and look forward to my next story I have planned. Anyway I had a ton of fun writing this story but this does not mean Michelle and Ruby's story has to come to an end as who knows maybe I might do a sequel to this story in the future.
