Seeker log: Unicron Uncovered. Log entry 12.
Silverwind stared at the moon — or what it had always been: Unicron. She felt agitated beyond her own understanding; it was like something bad was going to happen.
Starscream and Thundercracker were agitated as well. With Galvatron not wanting to make a truce with the Autobots to defeat Unicron, everything looked hopeless.
Swiftwind called them briefly to welcome Starscream back to Cybertron and to wish them well in their fight. The Shadows were going in to hiding, deeply frightened by the way things had transpired, and so was he. Where they were going, he did not tell.
Some time later, Silverwind felt a strange pang in her half-Spark. As she sat up, she started to feel pain and grief unlike anything she had ever felt coming into her. It knocked her out, startling her two brothers who were resting in their quarters as well.
When she came to, greeted by the two worried Seekers' faces, she knew what had happened.
Swiftwind was gone.

Starscream looked at the battlefield and Galvatron's distancing back. The two faction leaders were going to clash, and the Leader Seeker knew that it would not solve anything.
Someone had to do something.
He decided that he should be that someone.
"Stay here and fight," Starscream told his fellow Seekers.
"What about you?" Thundercracker asked.
"I have something I need to do," Starscream told.
Silverwind felt horror crawl into her spark. "No. We have to stick together, especially now!"
Starscream gave the femme a solemn look. "I'm sorry, but I have to do this alone. Stay behind. I will be back, don't worry."
Then he sped off. Silverwind fought against Energon tears; she could not shake the feeling that this would be the last time she would see the Leader Seeker.
She turned her head back towards the Autobots and kept shooting, unable to shake the feeling that she was making a mistake by staying there. Something was about to happen... something that she should stop.
Perhaps it was just that she had just lost Swiftwind. She did not want to lose Starscream as well, especially not this soon after his return.
She had to make the choice fast. There was little time left.
It felt like the choice had been made before she had even considered it.
"I'm going after Starscream," Silverwind told Thundercracker.
"What? Why? He told us to stay here," Thundercracker exclaimed.
"Something is about to happen. I..." Silverwind considered. "I can't let him die. Not like I let Swiftwind die."
"Silver, there was nothing you co-"
"It doesn't matter. Now there is. Come with me if you will, but I'm leaving and you will not stop me." Silverwind's optics flared with the same determination that had lighted Starscream's now dimmer optics.
Thundercracker nodded. Whatever would happen, Silverwind would carry on Starscream's legacy. "I'm going with you. For Starscream."
"For Starscream."
The two Seekers slipped away from the battle and went after the Leader Seeker, towards the place where the Star Saber and shots flared — and where Starscream had most likely gone or would go soon. Once they got to the site of the battle between the two faction leaders, they hid behind a boulder to watch.
"Sis, are you sure this is a good idea?" Thundercracker whispered. "I don't see him here."
"I..." Silverwind searched her spark. "I am."
"Okay. Let's wait for Big Bro then."
"Yeah... That's why we're here."
Soon, Starscream arrived, ready to fight his leader. Silverwind and Thundercracker watched, both of them feeling the high stakes of it. As Unicron started to react to what was happening above them, their anxiety rose in spikes. Yet neither could bring themselves to intervene, to stop the fight.
They were too scared to intervene and risk Galvatron's wrath on the whole trine.
Neither could help gasping when Starscream was pierced by the Star Saber. Silverwind stood up, but she stood frozen next to their hiding place as the pain and an inexplicable longing settled into her Spark so tightly it felt like it would stay there for good.
The moments went in a flurry until Starscream shouted, "It's time to finish this once and for all! Active Proton cannon! You're all mine, Unicron!" It felt like he channeled everything he could from himself and his Trine mates into that shot, but Silverwind felt a retaliation coming. In a desperate attempt to save her former mentor, she started to run towards the Leader Seeker, Thundercracker following her with pain raging through his body like nothing had done ever before.
The running steps they took felt like they were done in slow motion as Unicron shot a blue lightning down on Starscream. When it hit him, the two running Seekers came to a halt, screaming with Starscream in an overwhelming amount of pain. It felt like their sensors were going to get overloaded as they watched their beloved brother be reduced to ashes.
When the blue light ended, Silverwind and Thundercracker were on their knees, their bodies about to go into a stasis from the overload and overheat. Neither could speak as they struggled to cool their bodies down.
"It's over, Swindle... but he fought like a brave soldier until the end," Optimus Prime said.
"S-Starscream..." Silverwind whimpered. "Starscream..." She could only stare at the crater and the wing sword next to it in disbelief. "Starscream... Oh Primus, Starscream!"
"No... No way..." Thundercracker gasped. "No way..." He looked at Unicron. "This can't be real..." A new wave of pain washed over him as Energon tears started running, and he found his body putting himself in an emergency stasis to keep his sensors from exploding.
"No..." Silverwind gritted her dental plates together as she whimpered, tears escaping her optics as well. "No,no,no,Starscream no!" Then she found herself going into an emergency stasis as well.
When they came to, their bodies cooled off and sensors less strained, the area was empty aside from the crater and the sword. Silverwind stood up, walking towards it in tunnel vision. Judging from the sound of slow footsteps behind her, Thundercracker was doing the same.
They stopped at the edge of the crater. There was absolutely nothing left of their brother who had stood at that very spot just Breems ago.
"No... This can't be happening," Thundercracker gasped. "This can't be real..."
"Starscream..." Silverwind tried to keep herself from collapsing, but she could not help herself. She fell on her knees and smashed her fists on the ground, screaming, "Starscream, no!"
Thundercracker looked up on Unicron. The titan was now calm, but that merely irritated him more. He gritted his dental plates together and roared, "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS, UNICRON! MARK MY WORDS!" He shot a reckless shot at the moon, but it did not make it far enough to warrant a retaliation.
As nothing happened, Thundercracker fell on his knees as well and joined his sister in uncontrollable crying.
Just as they had gotten Starscream back, they had lost him again. This time for good.
This time, Starscream would never come back from where he had gone.
They were now all alone.
Forever.
