Shortly after that fateful night, after Rose finally won the battle against Quetzan, she was starting to see her new friend, Greg Universe. He was a totally different human all on his own. She noticed how sweet he was to the elderly, how kind and compassionate he was to children and she noticed how social he was with different people. Rose loved seeing how different Greg was from the other humans. She felt at ease when ever she was with him. Even though they would spend some time alone on the beach, they would talk about different things, like space or music. Greg Universe. A name that Rose liked deeply. Despite the name, Greg didn't seem like the type of man who would be obsessed over finding some sort of Nirvanah or anything like that. No not like Quetzan. Greg didn't compare to that monster. No. Greg was the sweetest human being Rose ever loved. Much to the dismay of Pearl.

"Rose, may I ask a question?" asked Pearl one day.

"Let me guess... you want to know what song we are going to sing tonight?!" cried Rose excitedly.

"Greg is coming again tonight?" asked Pearl, gritting her teeth.

"He is. We have a new song we are going to sing." said Rose.

Pearl chuckled and she stood in front of Rose. "How long will it be until he stops coming to see us?" asked Pearl.

"Perhaps when Greg grows bored of all of us. But I doubt that will happen." said Rose as she hummed melodies to herself.

Pearl folded her arms. "I wish he would grow bored." she said to herself. She watched as Rose met up with Greg by the entrance of the temple. Pearl never felt this new feeling before. Not ever. For the first time... she was envious and growing angry inside herself. From time to time, she has tried to say a few salty remarks on Greg, but he never backed away. He simply ignored her.

When Greg was singing his new song with Rose, Garnet was playing a guitar while Amethyst was on the drums. Pearl watched from afar and thought of a way to push Greg out. Perhaps something that can show him how powerful her bond was with Rose. She walked up to a dancing Rose and whispered in her ear. Rose nodded and together they began to dance while she then fused. Greg watched as the fair Rainbow Quartz danced on the small platform. Eventually, Rose and Pearl split up and Pearl dropped Greg's Microphone on the floor.

"I can't believe I caught that on Video! What on Earth was that?!" cried Greg.

"That was Rainbow Quartz. Pearl thought a fusion would make your video a little extra." said Rose.

"Wow! That was amazing!" cried Greg.

"I have to go to something very fast my dear. I'll be back. Talk more later?" asked Rose.

"I'll be here. No problem." said Greg with a smile. They then kissed and Rose used the warp pad.

Pearl turned to Greg. "Your just a phase. You know that right?' asked Pearl.

Greg rolled his eyes. "Her she goes again..." thought Greg.

Rose arrived to a secluded old bath with her own statue there. This place was built for the Crystal Gems to cool off and take a swim back in the day, but since the wars... it has now become old and rusty and her old statue was now invaded by plant life.

Rose sat down and Lion appeared out of nowhere.

"You still haven't told the other Crystal Gems about yours truly?"

"In time. Right now... I feel odd." said Rose.

"Greg was it? What a peculiar human. I have met hippies back in the late sixties and all the way to the seventies. I remember the Woodstock concert as if it were yesterday. That boy embodies the love and peace humanity is supposed to have.""What do you think of me and him together as a couple?" asked Rose.

"It is your choice Rose. I cannot make it for you.""I'm just worried. I love Greg, but there is another I love. But... I do not know what to do." said Rose.

"You mean Pearl?"

"I love her. But I love Greg more. I know Pearl looks up to me and she has given up so much for me. But... I experienced something Pearl has not. I felt love before. I fell in love with a human when I arrived on Earth. After him, there were a few men I have loved dearly in the past. But every time I would see them, I'm simply reminded how short their life is." said Rose.

"You fell in love multiple times before? Who were they? I must know the details.""Oh Lion. Well... during the middle ages there was this blonde young man who had a scar on his chest. He had the strongest legs. Then there was this young woman who had glorious red hair... beautiful she was. Oh... and during the early twenties... I fell for twins." said Rose.

Lion then made a noise in his throat. I was kinda like a laugh.

"Twins? Oh Rose. What adventures you had. And all this in secret from the other Gems?""They don't know. Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl have no idea that I would do these things."

"If Pearl ever found out... she would lose it. Rose. I know I may sound like I'm giving you a lecture... but be very careful. You see... humans are not like Gems. Some humans are stupid and selfish. But there are also humans that have a heart. Some of them sacrifice a lot of their own families. Humans were created for that purpose. Please Rose, don't do this to Greg. He loves for you deeply and I know you love him too. He has a powerful and beautiful heart. More than any Human I have ever seen from afar. If you love someone, stay with that person until their day of death arrives."
